The Gym was up and running since the end of Summer and the building was maybe the not the nicest to look at if you were looking for classic art but modern it was for sure. In front of the Gym itself was a little plaza that was now filled with little stalls and platforms for people to go and watch to see what was going on. Dances, art, drinks, little self-made shop ware and acts. That's all that you could find there and it would be open at the end of the afternoon so everyone could come in and enjoy after school, work or whatever would keep you busy most of the morning. Hanako was satisfied that she had people signed up, maybe it worked to have workers at the Gym come from schools because there were quite a few high schoolers around. The stalls on the plaza were like little houses, with obviously an open window to be able to sell your stuff, there was one house, on the left side of the entrance that had not only a stall but a sort of platform next to it, it looked like a bowling alley and that was exactly what it had to represent. She had thought about it long and hard as they were not really around with bowling stuff but it was nice and she had convinced Bashira that she could give away little prices. Of course, the logo of the gym and the name was on it, everything to sell and work on their advertisement. She would leave it up to her friend to see how it would work. The little house would have a little heater for Bashira and the door was made slightly taller so she would not have any issues with it, the doorknob taken care off as well as the little stool within there. It would work out fine, everything was thought of now that Hanako knew or had an idea about the needs for Bashira her quirk. So she hoped people would come and try when they came to sport or hopefully, some people from the shopping centre, because from there on you could see the little market on the plaza in the front. Definitely a tactical decision of this spot if she could say so to herself.
Once everything was set up, which was quite the work, she told Bashira it was all fine and let her try it out. It was easy to find her and easy to work together with her and she was also easily convinced Bashira knew what to do. And if she doesn't the stall next to her was Hanako's own. The advertisement on the small prices would help but hopefully the flyers at her stall as well. The basic idea was that people went to sport and come back for the festivities or just show up for it and hopefully get a membership because she did intend to do much more things. There were some small rules such as that she did not want to hear any bad word about the gym. If there were questions about the Gym, they would be able to send the directions to her so they could ask Hanako about it themselves. Yes, this would be fine and happy as she hoped. There was a Christmas tree outside, simply decorated with lights and there were banners and garlands in a Christmas feeling. "Are there any questions? If you come up with questions later, I will be nearby." She said, and looked everything over, but it seemed to be fine and she did trust her friend, so that was helpful.

When Bashira had signed up to run a stall at the Gym, she'd envisioned the simple pleasure of bowling... and not a lot beyond that. She had figured she could go down to a toy shop, get some plastic pens and a kid's ball, and teach people how to bowl that way, on a pavement surface. Thankfully for everyone involved, Bashira had instead been provided the means to get a real bowling set and something close to an alley in which to bowl. This meant that everyone would be spared the experience of watching her try to adjust her toss for a plastic bowling ball less than 1/10th the weight of her standard, or for that matter, rolling it across a grooved sidewalk.
Really, Hanako had done almost all the heavy lifting on this idea. All Bashira had to do was show up and do what she did every day: talk people's ears off about bowling. Well, that and some of the literal heavy lifting, in the form of moving some of the construction into place. "Nah, I got this. It's finally time for me to teach everybody how to bowl! Once they get a taste of it, they're gonna be hooked!" Bashira exclaimed optimistically, eager to get her over-sized mitts on a whole weekend bowling team if she could manage it.
She'd come dressed semi-festively in her usual brand of garage band shirt, torn black jeans, and this time, the addition of a ball-tipped santa cap, which fit awkwardly onto her head given her horns sticking out the front. The logical choice for her would probably be to wait outside and try to usher people in... but Bashira didn't have much of a concept of proper salesmanship, and instead, she decided a "free demonstration" might be more fun. She grabbed a ball and looked down the alley, sticking her tongue up out one side and squinting her eyes, then clamored forward and launched the ball. It was no difficult task for her to bowl a strike, and thus, she managed.
What she hadn't counted on was that with the lack of an automatic pin-setter, she'd be on the hook for resetting them every time she threw the ball. That made the practice a little less like relaxation and more like work... as such, she set back up the pins and decided to wait at the door instead of testing the goods.

Miku heard her parents were gonna do this christmas market thing at the gym, so she decided to go and check it out. Arriving there, she saw her parents in the distance at a hot cocoa stall and as much as tempting and inviting that was, Miku didnt wanna go bother them or linger around them always. Besides, they already had a customer so it seemed. So Miku went to visit another stall. There was a juggling one that the 2C's homeroom teacher was visiting. She avoided that and went to another stall.
The one that drew her attention was the one with bowling which was led by Bashira, whom Miku had no idea was working for G and Hana. Miku watched Bashira demonstrate her bowling skills, but she was too shy to say anything. Not to mention that even if she was brave enough to speak, Miku would have no idea what to say or what to do. "Should I help her pick up the pins?" Miku thought to herself as she pondered and wondered what she could do She would love to try bowling, she never did that. Aside for the virtual one in video games as part of some mini game. This could be a new experience. If only she had the guts to say hi

Bashira faced a bit of a slow day at her stand; this was perhaps not surprising, considering she was an ogre trying to teach people to bowl. An unusual combination of factors such as this would make for an unlikely pick even at the best of times. With so many other Christmas opportunities, it was even less likely. Still, if nothing else, Bashira figured she'd get a chance for a free day's bowling out of this; that was one opportunity she'd never waste.
To her surprise, she found her demonstration being watched after all. Seeing that she had an audience now, Bashira nodded, then took another shot. The continued success of her bowling made it look easy, as she sent the pins clattering away once again, then moved to retrieve them. Setting up the pins in silence, it occurred to her she could go on bowling all night without saying a word, as she sometimes did, or she could endeavor to do what she'd actually come here to do and change some lives along the way. "Change some lives" was probably too strong a term to refer to simply teaching people to bowl, but with her passion for bowling (and the amount of time she devoted to it), it was no hyperbole to say that bowling had done much to define her road in life.
Thus, she took a chance, reaching out to the smaller girl who watched from a short distance. "What'cha think? Bowling ain't so hard," she reassured Miku, putting up the last pin before heading over that direction. She hefted her bowling ball easily in one hand. "Uh, not as easy as I make it look, but ya don't need to be strong to be a bowler. Lotsa folks go pro or whatever just using technique and stuff! Why not give it a shot?" she urged Miku, walking forward and offering Miku the clunky, black bowling ball with a slight smile on her broad jaw.
Whether Miku moved to take it or not, she'd suddenly wince. "Actually, ya know what? This thing is my weight, ya probably want something smaller..." she murmured, raising one finger and spinning to set the ball down. She picked up a new one, bright blue, and handing it over. "This one's lighter so it ought to work better for ya. Wanna just try rolling it? Don't worry if it gutter balls, everybody gets one when they start!"
Bashira reflected that this might go better if she had rubber covers for the gutters, for the sake of morale, but gutter balls were an important part of bowling, in her opinion. "Gutters build character!" she thought to herself, remembering how many she'd made over her long time as a hobbyist.

Soon the ogress noticed Miku and finally approached and addressed her "um yeah hi. You make it look real easy. I never really bowled, unless you count video games. I mean I kinda get a jist of what do I do, but I just never did it in real life. I thought I could try, but I didnt want to interupt you" Miku explained After a bit of talk, Bashira told Miku then why wouldnt she give it a shot, she walked forward and offered Miku the black bowling ball with a slight smile. Miku went to reach for the bowling ball, unaware of its massive weight. Right as Miku touched the ball, Bashira suddenly winced, which immediately made Miku look at her. She then explained something about weight so she suggested a smaller one. The ogress went to pick a different bowling ball. This time it was a smaller and blue one. It looked super fancy to Miku since it wasnt an average black one. She happily grabbed it "Thank you" When Bashira asked if she could try rolling it, Miku nodded and said she'll give it a try.
Miku then turned to face the bowling pins and gave it a go as she tried her shot and bowled. Most of her experiences came from video games and cartoons. She was fond of the ones where the cave men with rock puns in their names. They mostly did it like... ballerinas is how Miku would put it. Would she be silly if she tried it on the next one

Bashira had never seen the old cartoon versions of bowling, but if she had, they'd probably crack her up. For one thing, she was easily entertained by children's cartoons. For another, if she imagined herself doing that same routine down the alley, she was sure to bust a gut.
Mike's first roll wasn't as goofy as a caveman doing it, but it was just like any child trying out a sport for the first time: she would need guidance. This was clear as the slow, safe ball moved down a seemingly correct center course, only to perform a sharp curve halfway down the lane and go gutter-bound. "Ah, don't worry, kiddo. I ain't keepin' score," she reassured her, as the ball curved along the alley's gutter and returned to sender in a ball holder.
"The thing ya gotta remember is that while you'll want to throw the thing light and easy so ya can get the direction right, momentum and force are just as important. The ball's kinda wishy-washy... if ya give it too long on the alley, it decides to do it's own thing. What I mean is, if ya throw it fast, it doesn't have time to change its course! 'Course... sometimee ya want it to curve a little, but that's pretty advanced stuff," she instructed. "Let's give it another shot..."
After Miku retrieved her ball, Bashira would stand behind her, nodding along. "By the way, name's Bashira Doji. If ya ever have any questions about bowling, ya ought to ask me! I'll help ya, whether it's here at this stand or anywhere else ya wanna find me," she informed her first ever student(?). "That includes at The Gym. I'm always hangin' 'round that place."

The ball moved slowly toward a seemingly correct center path, only to perform a sharp curve halfway down the lane and go gutterbound. "Oh poopy" Miku said with a pout The ogress reassured her that its fine, she wasnt keeping score. She also returned the ball and she also gave the blonde a few tips. Miku smiled "Oohh fast" so THATS why she does it crazy fast in video games. But was Miku crazy enough to try that? ... .. . Yes. Yes she was. When it was time to go do another shot, Miku prepared. But didnt bowl yet as the ogress introduced herself. Her name was Bashira Doji. She was nice enough to offer to teach Miku how to bowl, whether it be at this stand or anything. How nice Miku then bowled away, and then turned to Bashira before even seeing how the bowl went or if it hit anything, instead she just intoduced herself "Nice to meet you. My name is Miku Hajimari. And bowling is a lot more fun then I thought"
It really was fun, but speaking of which, Miku remembered she threw or rolled the ball, but did it hit anything, was it a strike, gutterball or chaos? Well, the young blondie turned around to see just what the heck she did.

Bashira tried to stifle a cackle at the word "poopie" as Miku introduced herself. She really was a woman of simple tastes when it came to humor. Managing to keep it down with some effort, she smiled to the girl and tried not to watch the hapless ball fly into the gutter behind Miku's back.
She figured that it was for the best if she came up with some more small talk. "Aw sure, it's a great time. Better still the more ya practice. I tell ya, it's like uuuh... consistency and discipline, yeah! That's what it cultivates. The more ya practice, the more naturally it comes to you. Soon you'll be thinking 'what the craaap?!'" she bellowed, craning her long neck to look behind Miku and suddenly wearing a slack-jawed expression.
Somehow, the ball she had seen go into the gutter had maneuvered to knock over every pin in the alley, leaving them spinning in the alley's back pit. "Aaaah! I missed it!" she groaned, unable to envision how the gutter ball had turned into a perfect strike. "Dang it! Miku, do ya think you're some kinda super genius at this?" It might sound like a sarcastic question, but it seemed like Bashira was quite serious, clenching her jaw between two fingers as she peered into the young girl's face.
Unless Miku wanted to be part of an exhausting attempt at recreation, trying to repeat the same outcome, she might want to either divert the topic or find an excuse to leave. One thing had become very clear: the science of bowling was one thing the ogre lady was intensely obsessed with.

Miku does not swear when not in battle, so she uses the childish forms of swears like poopie or fiddlesticks. Either way the two made small talk and introduced themselves to one another. Miku smiled a bit and nodded when Bashira did a lil encouraging. Miku tried once again and once again no good. Bashira asked if she thinks she's a genius "Umm... no. Not really. I mean video game-wise yeah. But not in real life" Miku said honestly
Oh god, did she really suck that much irl? That would totally suck if she was that bad. Granted.... she was a UA student and a future hero. She wasnt gonna be a sporty bowler. Even if it is fun. No no, she shouldnt worry. This is supposed to be happy times, she doesnt wanna be depressed again. This was a nice moment, she didnt want it to end.
Miku glanced for a second at the other stall that had G and Hana. They were busy serving and chatting with a man and a woman. Ok, not a place she wants to be at, and luckily they were too busy to notice her. But still... what to do? Stay here or leave?

"No, wait, no! Look, look! You knocked over every pin! Whatt're ya sad for?" Bashira asked, frantically waving her over-sized, pointing hand towards the back of the alley. She didn't want to disturb it by setting the pins back up, as though it were some crime scene that might lose an element of its origins if disturbed, or a painting that had to be preserved with all of its original details. "It went in the gutter, then I turned around and all the pins had fallen over! Don't ya get it?! That's a strike!"
As Bashira smacked her giant hands up and down excitedly inside the alley, Miku might get a possible explanation for why the pins had all fallen over. Every thud of the hands against the alley caused every pin in the alley to pop up slightly, as though the earth was shaking underneath them. "I'm sayin' yer a genius! I ain't ever seen nobody knock over no alley full'a pins with a gutter-ball before! I think it's gotta be some kinda quirk! What's yer quirk, anyway? It's that uh... 'victory manipulation' that you always hear about, isn't it?! Dang, I always wanted that quirk!" she ranted, looking again to the fallen pins in the back of the alley.
"Oh crap, I gotta find a camera somewhere. This is a piece of bowlin' science! Miku, I'm gonna have to call it here for our bowlin' lesson and all that, because we got a moment of bowlin' history on our hands here! I'm gonna investigate this from end to end and get to the bottom of it!" she explained, framing the scene once again by placing her giant fingers together in a rectangle, as if placing a shutter first around the fallen pins, then around Miku, squinting one of her flashlight-like eyes as she did. "Next time ya meet me, I'm gonna have an uuuuuh... what do they call it... a tedium! A tedium about how this happened. I'll explain it all!"
Bashira ran from her own stall excitedly, desperately trying to find a camera or camera phone somewhere, perhaps forgetting that there was almost no camera or camera phone on earth capable of withstanding the pressure of her fingers.

The strong ogress told Miku to look, and thus Miku did. She looked back to where Bashira told her and she saw the pins and they were knocked over. Miku was speechless for a moment and frozen, until it registered what she did. A strike??!! A STRIKE!??!?! Miku quickly ran over to Bashira and hugged her "A strike?! Yaaay!! I never did that before!" Miku happily said as she hugged the ogress.
After the hug, she let her go as apparently Bashira went to get a camera or something so she could study this and something. Miku didnt understand a thing, she just watched Bashira to see what she would do. Miku didnt move at all, instead she again glanced at her parents who were now clearing away the people... well... the people left and it seems they were solo for now. Miku positioned herself so Bashira is in the way of their view. She didnt want them to see her. Especially not G.
Miku looked then back at Bashira to see what she was doing, but Miku still didnt know what to do or say. She decided that she would wait until Bashira was done. And then they can do something

Bashira was just as excited as Miku and just as eager to cheer, but she had to be very careful not to reciprocate the hug, as even a gentle hug from her tremendous arms could bear some truly unfortunate consequences, due to her tenuous motor control of those over-developed muscles. Still, she was happy that Miku had gotten to share in the joy of bowling a strike... and not just a strike! A once in a lifetime miracle of bowling!
The ogress came back, nearly doing a baseball slide in her excitement, and gestured for the festival photographer she'd found to come into the makeshift bowling alley. She didn't seem to understand that ordinary people all had cameras on their phones that would be just as easy to use. But she'd paid the guy and was going to get a professional picture made. A picture of... a bunch of pins lying down in the bowling alley. "Miku! Stand in front of those pins! I'm gonna get this guy to make two copies, one for each of us!" Thankfully, the guy wasn't willing to take advantage of Bashira's naivety to charge an arm and a leg for some simple photos...
The photos printed out quickly; he waved them in the air, then handed over once each. Miku could take hers easily, while Bashira would have to pinch carefully, but it was clear from her excitement that she wanted to frame the photo or something similar. "Hey, hey, Miku! Do you have parents or anything here?! We should tell them about it too!" she insisted, still admiring the photograph as the photographer left the bowling stand. "I can take a break, heh heh! You're the first customer I've had all day!" Of course, Bashira, as an orphan, ought to be more considerate of girls who might be from unusual family situations- especially when the girl had shown up to bowl unattended by anyone- but truth be told, she wasn't thinking about it at all.

Bashira soon came back, she seemed real excited and gestured to a photographer to come over. Ok, Miku didnt expect this, but she'll take it. When Bashira instructed Miku what to do and where to stay Miku nodded "Ok!" and went there and waited for the man to snap some pictures. Once the photos were quickly printed out, the man waved them in the air for a bit and then handed over a photo to both of them. Miku took hers and she observed as Bashira held hers delicately.
Then Bashira asked if she has parents here so she can tell them about it. Miku smiled and nodded "Yeah, I do. They're over there" she pointed to Hana and G who were at the hot chocolate stall "They're the owners. The pretty black haired woman and the one with the sunglasses on his head"Yeah, Miku didnt really know that those were Bashira's bosses. She thought Bashira just rented this place or something. Kind of how Yumi had a cosplay stall and Red had a gadget stall. He expected Bashira did the same, she was unaware that Bashira was a personal trainer here and an employee, because she didnt really know who all worked here.

"Heh heh! Now that's a real bowlin' trophy! You'll always remember where ya were when ya got your first strike!" Bashira guffawed happily, then blinked dumbly. Did she remember where she was when she'd gotten her first? Not... really? She just bowled too much, it was only natural that it would all run together. Still, no reason to mention that to Miku and ruin the aura of excitement.
When Miku pointed out her parents, Bashira squinted into the distance, the headlights of her eyes shining yellow beams in the direction. She ended up rubbing her eye carefully with one knuckle, then peering out again... that couldn't be right. "What... Huh...?" That was G and Hanako, who ran the Gym she was staying at! Did they... did they already have a daughter, besides the baby she'd met earlier?! Or had she just really lost track of time and the baby grew up that fast?! How fast do babies even grow?! Bashira locked two fingers inside her jaw, past her fanged teeth, and dragged it down with a confused, agape frown, unable to understand what she was being told.
If they already had a baby besides their newest one... just how dang young were these two when Hanako first got pregnant?!
Bashira took a moment to push her fingers to her temple and grit her teeth with concentration, trying to figure it all out... Then it hit her: Adoption! Thankfully, she didn't yell that out loud. That would be pretty rude. "Well, no wonder you're such a cool cat! Your ma's my best friend." Bashira chuckled, making her eyes into happy crescents. It felt a little embarrassing to say something childish like "best friend," but it was true. G was cool too, of course. "Yeah, tell 'em you rolled a strike already! That photo's livin' proof! Oooh, oh, and see if your ma wants to bowl with ya some time! I've been tryin' to convince her for a bit, but she's always wearin' high heels and such, heh heh..."

Bashira seemed to be weirded out by the fact that she pointed to Hana and G, but eventually she accepted it. Miku smiled when Bashira told Miku to tell em about the strike and the photo. Miku smiled and nodded "Oh, I'll be sure to tell her." then she asked "But what about you? Will you find someone else to bowl with?" Miku asked
Eventually Miku went to Hana and G and told them about her bowling experience and showed them the photo. She then got a headpat from G, which made her grumble a bit. She then turned to Bashira and gave her a thumbs up. Indeed, this was fun. She would remember to hang out with Bashira more, she was nice. Still though, Miku didnt quite learn yet that the ogress was a gym employee. But as soon as she finds out, she was gonna hang out with Bashira.
For now though she was blissfully unaware, and G didnt tell her yet, while Hana probably forgot to mention it to her. Probably. She will find out eventually. Yes, she will. Now the two will go their seperate ways, but perhaps one day life reunites them. Maybe for a fun experience and maybe for something else. Who knows! Miku doesnt!
