The Party of all People is a relatively new political entity, founded by Taizo Deguchi, making him the only current member of the party in the Diet. The party was created to provide a further focus on quirker's issues, compared to the dominant parties in the Japanese political landscape. Their emblem is set of kanji spelling "Compassion." They are often referred to as "All-Peoples" for short.
The goal of the party is to stabalize Japan as a mixture of quirked and non-quirked people, with equal rights for both and minimal pain of integration.
Stated Policies
1) To allow quirkers into public positions such as government, law enforcement, and safety officials. Additionally, these are intended to use their quirks in service of the public good as necessary, under the provisions of a license. This is seen as a step to exist alongside the hero program.
2) Continued support for UA, as well as additional funds allocated for expansion of its student and teacher bodies, tools, and facilities.
3) Government incentives for technology and programs designed to assist in safe quirk usage, beginning with methods to identify quirks at early ages and continuing to numerous fields such as medical technology, teaching methods, and pharmaceuticals.
4) The establishment of legal definitions and punishments for quirkist hate crimes, with the intention to award increased sentences.
5) Humanitarian aid to other countries, to include Japan's officially recognized heroes.
6) Shrinking of police and military, with protection duties to be handed off to the expanded hero program.
7) Complete disestablishment of the quirker tax.
Lesser Known Activities and Rumors
This party faced trouble from its offset for being seen as a gateway to total quirk freedom in Japan, an idea held as dangerous by many who have witnessed (or theorized) about the dangers of such policies. Of particular note: the founder's former daughter was once a quirked gang member herself, the knowledge of which has made it impossible to dance the question of dangers posed by quirks. Buy-in has also been slow, as one risks losing significant political clout for hitching one's cart so completely onto the hero program's results. Another difficult issue the party faces is the matter of taxation. Many policies laid out are only achievable via the introduction of new taxes, or else, a thorough gutting of military spending, which alienates many important would-be supporters. It is said that Taizo Deguchi has faced significant loss of face since the establishment of this endeavor, finding more support online than out in the political realm, and many are calling it the greatest blunder of his career. Some have gone as far as to call the party nothing more than a token of affection for his quirked daughter.
