Alaster was humming to himself. He was not exactly cheerful, as his poor Meiko was still locked away in prison. But for once in a long while, he was not gloomy. He had his own gang now! Yatagarasu, the organization Alaster had created to further his goals. So what would he do now that he was not in a foul mood?
Why, go out and kill people, of course! After all, it had been a while since Alaster did anything to grab the attention of the public and media. After the last message he had sent, Crowley had not done much, going underground for the most part. Fools would probably start to think that those eight people killed would just be a one time thing. If that were the case, then those poor fools were in for quite the rude awakening! Alaster wanted to send Tokyo a reminder. A message stating that he was still very much around.
It was a dark cloudy night. It was cold, almost freezing. Still, Alaster was not bothered too much by it. He had his thick hooded coat, his black gloves, and his crow mask to protect his face. Besides, he was from England, so he was no stranger to the cold. In a lonesome alleyway, there were six others besides Alaster. Two of the people there were Alaster's goons, members of Yatagarasu. The pair wore similar crow masks, tho of a less fancy kind. And as for the other four people there...
...Those were the victims.
They were all tied up and gagged, unable to move, unable to scream for help. Their feet and legs were badly injured by stab wounds and Alaster having used his quirk to have the nearby crows damage their legs to prevent them from running away. One of the two goons held a machete, ready to gut the fool who tried anything. The other held a seemingly odd object: an empty bucket. The reason for the bucket was simple. Alaster wanted to paint a message on the wall, just as he had done last time. However, he did not want to dirty his gloves this time. That was why he had an actual paintbrush with him. That way, he could get his hands dirty without actually getting his hands dirty.
One of the victims began to scream. Of course, with the duct tape covering his mouth, all his screams were muffled, with the howling wind being louder than he was. Alaster grinned sadistically as he looked at the person. "Oh look, we have ourselves a volunteer!" He then turned his head to the goon with the machete. "Do it." While the other victims shut their eyes and tried to look away, the goon nodded as he swung the weapon, lethally cutting the man. As the victim began to bleed to death, the other goon rushed over to collect his blood with the bucket.
After the first victim, it was the second's turn to die and have her blood collected. Then the third followed suit. With these three dead, Alaster had enough blood to work with. So dipping the paintbrush into the bucket and making sure that no blood got on him, he went to the wall and began to paint his message.
I HOPE YOU DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT ME
As Alaster began to think of what more to write, he noticed that the fourth victim was still alive. Well, he did not need the woman's blood. He had more than enough. But still, what reason was there to keep her alive? It was not like she mattered. She was a filthy human. No one would miss her if she died like the other three did. So he gave his instruction to the goons. "Kill her." The goons nodded, ready to carry out their master's will and to give the victim the same fate as the other three.
But just as the goon began to approach the fourth victim, the woman managed to remove the duct tape covering her mouth. It seemed like the goon who had put it on had rushed, not covering her mouth sufficiently enough and allowing her to use her tongue to rip off the tape. Coincidentally, her quirk allowed her to sharpen her tongue to be like a knife.
"SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
Bollocks! Alaster glared at the goons for screwing up something so simple. He did not need to speak aloud, however. The goons knew that they had to kill her before she could attract attention. So the goon with the machete swung his blade, ending the woman's life. The two then looked at Alaster, awaiting his orders on what to do now. "Don't just stand there! Go check the surrounding area! Make sure no bloody cop or hero shows up!" The two goons bowed before exiting the alley, leaving Alaster to continue painting his blood message.
As the goon with the machete dropped it and ran off one way, the other goon headed off in the opposite direction. To avoid arousing any suspicion, the hooded goon removed his crow mask and quickly slipped it under his shirt. The man would not arouse any suspicion, as he was just wearing standard winter clothing. But it was best to quickly remove the mask in case anyone was there.
In addition to losing the mask, the goon also began to walk more slowly. There was no need for anyone to suspect that he was anything but an ordinary citizen walking in the middle of a blizzard. Jeez, it was cold! The man shivered, almost bumping into a woman with a hood on. "Sorry, ma'am." After barely avoiding the lady, the goon continued on his way, intent on keeping an eye out for any police officer or pro-hero who could have possibly heard that woman scream for help.
It was a shame that the hooded woman that he had just passed by just so happened to be Nimue. And with the goon walking off in the opposite direction, she would be able to go check what that scream was without any interference. |

No luck. The woman at the cash register had looked at her if she was crazy and the woman had continued to walk. It was freezing out here so yes she was crazy. But trying to find tickets for the Christmas concert online seemed to be impossible so she had decided to go to the cash register office in town. The woman had referred her to go back and look onto the internet, she didn't even assure her if there were tickets, couldn't she have said that? And now it was already late and it had taken her all day and she believed the bullet train even stopped because of this blizzard. Did she even know anyone in Tokyo who would be able to bring her to Musutafu? Maybe she should call G? She had not spoken to him in days as she wasn't sure what to say. She still felt like a failure and yet she had to tell him a lot about what else she had done. But when was the right time, she had not heard a lot from him either, so maybe he was busy because it was nearing Christmas?
She was walking in a neighbourhood that didn't look all too pleasant and she had huddled herself in her coat. Her hood covering her long mint coloured hair and a scarf covering her nose and mouth so she could breathe without making little clouds in the cold air. She thought she heard something and stopped. Her footsteps muffled by the snow but she swore that was a gunshot. Surely that shouldn't be that strange with all the gang rivals in Tokyo but did this mean she had a job to do? She did not have her pro-hero outfit with her and she did not plan to change in the snow. She was wearing snow boots, a simple pair of jeans and her winter coat, well because of that and the scarf she was at least covered and the make-up hiding the red line on her face. She held her bag close and thought about it, she had not made up her mind. She had done well last time, but this wasn't what she wanted to do, what she wanted to become.
A gunshot means a wounded, my intombazana. That is your job.
And she nodded, listening to the calm words of Iwayo. Reassuring, understanding what she needed. We are here, Uphondu added and she felt a little bit of relief. Yes, she wasn't alone and this was her job. The thing was that the gunshot had sounded through the whole place and Nimue had no idea anymore where it came from. Until she heard a cry for help, she looked over her shoulder, that was not what the direction she heard something from before but it was something for sure. She held her bag, she had to be careful and collected. She put the first aid kit, a fair small one in her pocket and grabbed for three almost identical pieces that she always had in the bottom of her bag. This was why Kent made it this way, so she could always carry it around. It was on her license, weapon: spear. She dropped her bag behind a trash can and looked for an indication but apart from the start of the alley she knew nothing, it would continue to snow so it would not be seen even if you looked behind it. She clicked the system of the spear together and with a steady step continued towards the sound that she had heard in this weather. Before she could even finish it, she stood up, she heard footsteps and looked around the corner but someone bumped into her. "Don't worry." She told the person and watched him leave. Yea, go, away from the sound that would be the safest option. The positively influenced woman (normally), would not have thought this person belonging to the issue. She quickly hurried back and grabbed the spear from next to the dumpster and walked into the alley. With one last look over her shoulder, she started to walk a little faster, the newly fallen snow crunching this time under her feet. The alley ended onto a bigger but empty street and she first didn't see well enough in the dark but that's when the glistering on the wall caught her attention and a person standing in front of it. Her breath stopped into her throat, the message on the wall finally registering in her brain, the bodies on the site. "Crowley." She held her spear a lot stronger, "You are under arrest, I don't think I have to explain to you why."
She had done it before, twice now, she could do it again. She could do it again. Tactics, she would have to wait.

After having passed the woman, the goon began to wonder if letting her go was really such a good idea. But then, his master told him to be on the lookout for cops and heroes. That woman didn't look like either. As far as the goon was concerned, Nimue was just a passing civilian. Surely she would not be a threat, right? Besides, even if she did end up going to where Crowley was, it would just be one more victim for him to play around with. The goon was not worried. So he continued on his way, checking for any cops or heroes just as instructed.
Meanwhile, Alaster smiled from behind his crow mask. He was almost done with his message. He could not wait for the foolish masses to panic upon seeing the full message.
BECAUSE I CERTAINLY DID NOT FORGET ABOUT YOU, BITCH DOCTOR
However, Alaster would soon realize that he had company, the unwanted kind. Just as he finished the sentence and right before he was about to write his villain alias on the wall, he heard a woman's voice. One calling out his villain alias and telling him that he was under arrest.
"..."
Alaster remained silent. Those absolute morons! Did they seriously screw up something so simple? They had one job! ONE BLOODY JOB! Alaster turned to face the newcomer. Who the bloody hell is this? He was beginning to understand now. Those fools took his command far too literally. Alaster did not want anyone coming here to interrupt him, but those goons did not think to check whether this hooded woman was possibly a hero in disguise. That was the only possible reason why she was allowed to slip by.
Well, no matter. Whoever this woman was, vigilante, pro-hero in disguise, or just some nosy bitch sticking her nose in matters that did not concern her, Alaster would have no qualms with killing this one. Even if that meant getting his gloves wet with blood, having to take them off and deal with unprotected hands during a blizzard wasn't the worst thing in the world.
"Sorry, but I couldn't quite catch that! Could you speak up? I can't hear you over the sounds of the howling winds and me not giving a flying fuck!"
Alaster was not worried. Even if this hooded person had a spear, Alaster had a dart gun. Plus, there were several crows in the area. More than enough for his quirk. If this fool wanted to fight, then he was more than ready to have a murderous time.
"If you know who I am, then I must question why you would even dare to approach me. Do you not value your life? Because there are far less painful ways of throwing your own life away than to come to me."
Perhaps some villains would offer people a chance to leave. Give some kind of warning, like 'Leave or I will attack!' or something along those lines. But Alaster? He felt no need to waste his time with such words. Who ever listened anyway? He immediately pulled out his dart gun and fired a shot at Nimue. Attacking, aiming to kill in the most painful way possible, that was his warning. A warning to either die a horribly fast death, or suffer an excruciatingly horrible fate far worse than death, slowly and very painfully until death was the desirable option. |

Of course, it wasn't like people were waiting to be arrested. She also did not think this would be easy but the thing was that it was better to step forward, than run away like a coward. Her knuckles were white, again a sign of how harshly she held on to her weapon. Her gloves were forgotten, it would not have been a bad thing when she was just trying to walk back and forth to the train station but hallelujah that one-stop didn't work and now she was here and her hands were cold. "Of course, you don't." The woman said, albeit she said it out loud but not loud enough for him to hear. That naturally depended on his sharp hearing but it was no intention to directly tell him. She glared at him. The worst thing about this was that she absolutely could not care about the moment right now, she could not care about Crowley. She wanted to be home, she wanted this whole struggle to be over, she wanted that she made a decision, she wanted to be normal. But she wasn't, she was a pro-hero.
She was so done with the arrogance that villains carried, his blabla. His everything, she had heard that now for so many times but for god sake was that bullshit. She could not stop glaring at him, "Keep it in your pocket honey. I don't give a shit about your warning. I think you should learn to recognize people better and not depend on their outfit. I thought you wanted to find me and let me know how much you hate me. Well likewise, Crowley. I am done waiting." She had no intention to exactly introduce herself. If he was entirely stupid he would not get a word of what she meant, but she doubt that and this was enough to hint that she was Witch Doctor. "So if you want that reunion, you sit quietly and let me arrest you." Maybe the fight with Kyoko had taught her one thing: sarcasm and taunting. It blinded people and she was not going to be the nice one anymore. The most wonderful thing for her was that Uphondu gave a sound of approval within the back of her head. That was lovely.
Her eyes would glow up blue the moment he pulled her weapon. Careful, we don't know his quirk. Uphondu told her but she knew that and she held her spear a little loosely now else it wouldn't work and she quickly stepped aside, the snow was making this thing a whole of a lot tricky but she would have to get close to him. She wasn't sure how much she could take, the new power of her body was soaring through her and she would definitely show that. She might take the next shot he would throw at her, she just needed to make sure he was distracted before she would throw her spear at him. This wouldn't be her first and last rodeo.

The goon continued walking around the area. So far, he did not notice anything unusual. There were barely any people here, and they were just civilians going about their business, moving quickly to minimize their time in the blizzard. The man sighed. Perhaps now would be a good time to head back and let Crowley know that there was nothing out of the ordinary. But then again, it was best to look around once or twice more. Best to be thorough in these kinds of things. He did not want Crowley to think that he was lazy. No! The goon was determined to make absolutely sure that there were no heroes or cops in the area. So he continued his patrol.
All while unaware of the fact that his boss was about to have a showdown.
---
Alaster remained quiet as the female spoke. But then he heard her words. It did not take long to figure it out. He knew exactly who this woman was. At first, nothing but silence. It was like the calm before the storm. But that silence would soon be broken. It was clear from Alaster's words just how much loathing, how much malice there were behind his tone. With how loud the winds were howling, Nimue would only just barely be able to hear his words.
"My my, how thoughtful of you, Witch Doctor! Here I was about to come find you after I had finished with my work here, but here you are now, saving me the trouble of hunting you down!" It was fortunate for Nimue that she could not see Alaster's face underneath his crow mask. Otherwise, she would be seeing the most twisted smile, the most deranged facial expression, and the most hollow and soulless eyes she had ever seen. Alaster slaughtered people, put them through fates worse than death, and that was all just for fun. But now? This was personal.
After the first shot missed, Alaster decided not to aim for a lethal shot anymore. Why grant this bitch that mercy? She did not deserve it for what she did to poor Meiko. So instead, Alaster began to fire two darts, aiming specifically for non-lethal areas to try to slow down and cripple Nimue. More specifically, he wanted to hit her eyes and leg. Of course, the heroine would most likely not allow herself to just let the darts hit her. She was not a stationary target, so Alaster doubted that she would be taken down so quickly and easily.
And of course, Alaster kept a close eye on that spear of Nimue's, being wary of it and prepared to move out of the way if she chose to throw it. The last thing he wanted was to let her get up close. Close-range combat was not his forte. But he could not allow the heroine to figure that out. If she did learn that and managed to get close enough, it would be over. And as much as Alaster wanted to see Meiko again, their reunion would NOT be within a prison. Unless he was breaking her out of prison, but that was a different story.
"I do hope you took the time to write your suicide note before deciding to imprison my angel." Alaster wondered if Bitch Doctor was the sort of person who would be feeling pretty confident right now. After all, she did arrest Villain number 3. So a fight with Villain number 8 should be a cakewalk, right? Well if that is what she thought, then she was in for quite the rude awakening. As she would soon find out, Alaster was nowhere near as gentle as Meiko. She was the graceful angel to his wrathful demon. And right now, the demon was absolutely livid. |

Well at least he didn't lose his brain yet. Careful. Yes, it was so strange how the fighting one told her to be careful. Told her to do anything but fighting, that's what he did before. With the Oracle, it had jumped up and fought her so harshly but lost because of the bait. They should have had a better strategy and they would have to think about that now too, but it was difficult of were to start. The snowflakes sticking to her eyelashes didn't help either. Nothing really did help either, she had other things to do, it was cold, she had a date tonight, this wasn't even her hero outfit. Though that one would be cold. She would almost shiver. "Oh, I thought you were too incapable to do so. How long has it been?" Did the Oracle have such a bad influence on her that she now felt the need to be sassy to this son of a... simply because she had done the taunting to her. It did not end well for Oracle's taunting so it should be a warning for Nimue herself to just shut up. She wanted him to be infuriated and blinded as she had been the time she fought Oracle for the first time.
She took the bullets this time, moving forward but moving her face aside, the bullet to her eyes just missed but scrapped a part of her skin on her cheekbone. The other one bumped against knee which hurt like hell even though she would have to do something about it. Her eyes turning blue with the permission of Uphondu, this was their best strategy as it proved again and again and he would help her focus this time. They would work together, they would be one. "No, I thought you were writing your goodbye on the walls already. You are the next on my list. First Number three, then number five, next is number eight." She kept on moving, she had the idea her knee was bleeding as it felt a little warm, trickling over her skin. Ugh, disgusting. She gritted her teeth and threw the spear in the middle of his chest while she kept on running, which side would he go, most likely his right if that was his dominant side, thinking about which hand he used for shooting, but she kept straight, easier to dodge to that side when necessary.
She would get to him, she would show him her pain, the idiocy of him ruling over her while she just did her duty. That's how Oracle called it, so she would show him that this was her own. And he would feel it, she lost everything and he just had to sit and wait before a potential reunion, of course, no one was that simple or stupid. But she would not rest, she would show him her pain, the anger of her loss, it came all back to her. Careful He said again, yes they would until they would have this man in their grasp.
Took the bullets. Twice E-rank damage. (She might slightly limp but she doesn't notice in her anger and adrenaline)

Alaster scoffed. Behind the mask, his eyes rolled. Too incapable? Who did this bitch think he was? Someone who actually was pathetic enough to fear the likes of her? As if anyone could ever instill fear into him, let alone some idiot heroine. But still, Alaster could not resist jabbing Nimue with a quip, one that would hopefully unnerve her. "Yes, it has been a while, hasn't it? Speaking of, fun fact for you: Starting from the day my love was arrested, I killed one person every day for each day she remains separated from me. Surely your brain isn't hopeless enough to not allow you to know just how many fools lost their lives because of what you did? Tell me, have you or any of those doughnut-munching fools found any of the bodies yet?"
Alaster grinned sadistically behind his mask. Now this was not completely true, as he had been spending some of his time in Thunder's underground city. The rest of his time was spent slowly building up his organization from the ground up. He would not have had the time to slaughter that many people. Still, Nimue did not know that, nor did she need to know that. As far as she was concerned, the deranged Crowley would be evil enough to actually do that and gloat about it. Plus, once Alaster was ready, he was determined to kill that many people anyway and turn that lie into the truth.
After firing the darts, Alaster was honestly surprised that Nimue just took the shots. Then again, these were just empty darts. They did not have that special burning acid. But it was time to rectify that! Alaster fired once more. Unlike the previous darts, this one would shatter far more easily upon contact. And once the glass dart shattered, the acidic contents would spill on Nimue's skin, burning her if the dart did land its mark.
But of course, Alaster had to be careful. Regardless of whether or not that shot hit or missed, he only had two darts loaded in the gun's chamber. Once those ran out, he would need to reload. And if that happened, Nimue would undoubtedly try to charge at him. And that would mean he was screwed. Alaster really was not the best at close-range combat, preferring to snipe his targets from a distance. But it was important that Nimue did not realize this. If she did, then to say Alaster was screwed was an understatement.
Fortunately, Alaster had a plan. He could not keep on backing away from Nimue, as that would make it painfully obvious that close combat was not his forte. But if she were occupied with either words and/or action, then maybe she would not be able to pick up on Alaster's main weakness. "Well aren't you presumptuous! You really think that rankings mean anything? Has it not occurred to you that perhaps the ranks are misleading, and that I intentionally chose a lower rank for myself specifically to throw morons like you off? Or are you so naive and brainless to assume that I must be a pushover compared to Lady Lavande and Oracle, simply because I rank lower than them? Well, if you were hoping to have an easy fight, then allow me to disappoint you."
And with that, Alaster cawed loudly, activating his quirk. If Nimue looked around the scene now and paid close attention, she would notice that eight of the crows that were perched on the nearby rooftops now had glowing blood red eyes, and that they were all looking at Alaster. Pointing to Nimue with his dart gun, Alaster smiled as he gave the crows his command.
"Rip her to shreds!"
Immediately, the crows would swoop down and proceed to gang up on her, trying to claw and peck at Nimue in the hopes of ripping and digging into her flesh. But of course, Alaster would not let the crows have all the fun. While Nimue was doing whatever she chose to do to either evade, guard against, or combat the crows, Alaster would aim at her leg and fire another dart. This one would naturally also have burning acid, so it would be very unpleasant if it hits.
But of course, Alaster was keeping a close eye on Nimue, making sure to watch her every move. If she chose to ignore the crows and dart and come straight to him, well then there was no way Alaster could just stand there and let Nimue get to him. |

She gritted her teeth, why did the news not inform her? Did everyone think she was incapable of anything? Of taking any info? Careful, he is taunting. She knew that but it was working maybe, she wanted to get further into this fight, further into the need of hitting, further into anything. She gritted her teeth, she should either shut up or make a sassy remark and she wasn't sure how to do the second one so she would decide to just be quiet. He already knew it would hit her else he wouldn't have said it. She had seen the drastic message he had sent to her with blood, the people he killed, obviously he knew as she did who they were dealing with. There wouldn't be any more deaths because she would catch his ass now. Avoid it. Uphondu did not like Nimue taking the darts from before, which was the only reason why she again stepped aside, We have to work on your speed. She knew that she needed to be quicker maybe even more agile. She thought she heard something shizzle but she had no time to look at what the acid behind her had done. Her blue eyes staring at him with malice, yes she had to keep her cool if she wanted to remain the hero that she said she was. Nkosi was quiet, it was Uphondu working with her and Iwayo guiding, making her skin quite thick. At least for the physical attacks.
"I never said anything about the ranking simply the numbers, you are more agitated about it than you should be if its just a number." The top ten to her only meant quite dangerous people and she wasn't going to underestimate the eight as any number, she was very aware of that, he might even be more dangerous than any of the others in the list simply because he lost the one he loved. She did not believe villains could not love as G had said but she was sure they had the ability the loyalty or something so crazy to hold on to that. She had no idea what he was doing as she threw the spear at him, she could also not see if it did hit him as she was suddenly surrounded by eight black dots that picked and cawed in her ear. What the hell! She tried to push them away with her arms, but the pecking even in her strong and tough skin did hurt and that's when she almost fell forward, sinking through her left leg as it got another dart against it, eating the cloth of her jeans and making her skin red and angry. She quickly grabbed a piece of snow with her right hand to put against it and clean it off, while trying to move away from the crows with her left arm. She had to get away from them but how? She tried to move forward, closer to Crowley, if his quirk was focused on the crows, what would that mean he could do? Seriously the noise the birds made scared her and made her jumpy. She needed her spear back, that was her first goal.
Avoided the first dart, hit Crowley with her spear. Got distracted and pecked by the crows as well as the acid dart against her leg, quickly put ice/water on it.

Alright, this was far enough. The goon had looked around, and there was nothing. No sirens, no cops, no heroes, nothing but the snow and cold. It was pretty quiet. A bit too quiet, in fact. That was strange. Why was it so quiet? Shouldn't Crowley have called to check up on him by now? Even if that woman he had passed by somehow found him, it was not like killing was a challenge for someone like him. Picking up the phone, he called his partner to check up on him. After a few seconds, the goon picked up and according to him, he was in a similar situation. All was quiet, no cops or heroes around from the looks of it. But Crowley had not contacted him either.
...Oh shit! The goon suddenly realized something. Something that would surely get him tortured if not killed later. That woman he had bumped into, what if she were... no, she couldn't be a pro-hero in disguise, could she? But it was definitely a possibility. And if that were true, and Crowley was not calling them back... Crowley, one who would definitely check on his goons to make sure that all was going according to plan...
Damn it! We need to get back now! Notifying his partner on the phone, the goon hung up and quickly began heading back the way he came. He did not want to just sprint as that would look very suspicious if the cops suddenly decided to show up. But if his hunch was correct, then that meant that the King was in danger. And as a servant of the King, the goon needed to return to his master as quickly as possible.
But it would take some time to get there. Would he make it in time?
---
Alaster grinned as he saw the acid-filled dart smash on the bitch's skin. Good, suffer! But something was not right. Most people would begin to scream and writhe in pain upon feeling the acid burn their skin. The acid was not necessarily the strongest in the world, but it was usually enough to get the job done. So where was the screaming? Where was the writhing, the gritting of teeth? Was Bitch Doctor really able to ignore pain so easily. Was it her quirk protecting her.
Fucking damn it, of course the one person I want to hear screaming in pain the most right now won't do that!
To add insult to injury, the heroine began spouting her nonsense, acting all smug and arrogant. Alaster loathed this. He was determined to wipe this bitch off the face of the earth, no matter what it took to do so. "Good god, you're a moron! Yes, I'm agitated, but it has nothing to do with meaningless ranks or numbers! I would think that you of all people would know why I'm pissed, but it seems that every time I think you can't be any more stupid, you find ways to disappoint me further."
But while the heroine was (in Alaster's mind) an idiot, that of course did not mean that she wasn't dangerous. Alaster just barely avoided the spear tossed at him. Bollocks! The last thing he needed was to bleed anywhere. He did not want the police getting any of his DNA. Not that it would help them, as it was incredibly unlikely that he would even be in their little system. And unless they somehow knew to look to the UK for any information, they would know nothing of who he was. And even if they did somehow suspect that Alaster was British, he was sure that the lawyer he had seen before departing England would have removed all traces of him. As far as the world was concerned, Alaster Corvus was dead, nothing more than a memory forgotten to time.
Still, there was always the chance that someone somewhere could use his blood against him. And that was a chance that he simply could not afford to take. So while the crows did their best to keep the heroine occupied, Alaster walked over to the spear and picked it up. "My my, a gift? For me? How thoughtful!" He then held the spear in one hand, looking at the pointed end, knowing full well just who he wanted to repeatedly impale with this. "Thank you, Bitch Doctor! I'll be sure to put this gift to good use!" It was good that he held gloves, as otherwise, even touching this would be incredibly careless due to fingerprints.
With spear in hand and dart gun in the other, Alaster pondered on how to take on the heroine next. She was already approaching him. Made sense, as she wanted her spear back. Well he was certainly glad to give it back! And by that, it meant skewering the lady with her own weapon. But he only had one shot at this. If he messed up, she would get her weapon back, and would not be as willing to part with it again. Perhaps snapping it in two was a good idea? No, what if it was too durable? Even trying to break it would give the heroine an opening, and that was definitely not a good idea.
"You know, on second thought, I don't think a spear really suits my style. So here, I'll be generous and give it back!" And with that, Alaster mustered all the strength he could to jab the spear at Nimue, aiming to skewer her chest if he could. Of course, his quirk's effect was still active, so the crows were continuing to follow Nimue, doing their best to peck and claw at her. He doubted the fight would end this easily, but damn it if he was not giving this fight everything he got. |

Her blue eyes were the obvious factor that she was using Iwayo, the only reason why she could withstand the pain that was cringing and eating her skin. Putting the snow on it to clean it off, helped as well. But it definitely did some damage on her and she could not see, waving the crows away with her left arm until she noticed something. Something too late. She had not intended to respond to Crowley. She did not care that the obvious reason why he wanted her death was Lavande. How would villains, those ridiculous people, those arrogant people care about someone else? They would not. She might want to spit out that she could reunite them, but she wasn't like that. She had once thought about killing someone and that had been the woman she caught during Shinagawa, she had not done so. Every fibre of her being had thought about it, UPhondu had thought so too. But she had not done so and even if it might be something to be proud of, Nimue only saw herself as weak.
She had not thought about consequences, not of crows taking away her view. She understood he threw her spear back, it was obviously in his way of speaking, but which side. Where was it? She noticed it too late, it had first pushed crows away before it hit her right side, tearing away skin and clothing. She gritted her teeth after letting out a scream of pain. Seriously it made her so mad, she was weak. She was too much of nothing. She put her right hand shortly on it, they could not heal her yet. She should not summon Lindiwe yet, she had maybe not even an idea how. She had to just let it be, she pulled the jacket closer, her shirt underneath it up to stop the bleeding, to stop the cold from pricking at it. She now had her spear back. Play time was over. She twirled it around to smack the crows away from her. Moving forward though her leg ached, her side screamed. She would not lose her dear weapon again, she would hit him with it. She held it strongly in both hands. Tiring herself out as she slapped most crows away from her. But he would not see her coming this way either and this time, she moved closer to jab the spear at him instead of throwing it. In case she needed it back, she would use the same trick she had used on Lavande. She would send him to her personal hell so they could be reunited, she did not care. She would win for this sake. The pecking did not stop, she was glad that the hood of her wintery jacket stayed over her hair, but the pecking at it did not protect her from getting a massive headache because of it. She pulled her spear back as soon as she jabbed with it, in an elegant movement, she twirled it before she would make another strike, only to make sure no crow was in her way.

At first, Alaster grinned, hearing the heroine scream. Oh, how euphoric it felt to hear the bitch suffer! Good, good! He even took the time to laugh out loud, laugh at the woman's pain as she was stabbed by her own weapon. "Oopsie! Did I thrust it in too hard? Hurts, doesn't it?" That was fine. In Alaster's eyes, that pain was nothing. Bitch Doctor was getting off easy compared to him. His pain was far greater. He had his beloved angel, his entire world, taken away from him. The one that made him happy, the one who made his otherwise horrid life worth enduring. She was gone. Taken away and locked up. And for what? Because of this garbage society's arbitrary and meaningless laws? Laws that hurt far more people than it could ever protect? That was why Meiko had to be wrongfully imprisoned?
It doesn't matter. I will free her! I will free my beloved. And I will eviscerate every single fool who gets in the way of my plans of rescuing her. And I'll start with this bitch!
But it seemed as though the heroine was intent on doing everything in her power to continue getting in the way. Despite her injury, she was fighting back, driving away the crows with her spear, and began to attack with said spear. And unlike last time, Alaster was not as fortunate. He was barely able to avoid the first jab, but he could not move fast enough to dodge the second one, gritting his teeth as he felt the side of his abdomen getting pierced.
"Fucking BITCH!"
Alaster was no longer smiling, no longer sneering and talking down to the heroine in a mocking tone. She drew blood. She drew his blood, and it hurt. Alaster could not tell just how deep the spear went in, but seeing as it was not that much blood, it was at least not too serious of an injury. But despite that, Alaster was livid. How dare she touch him like this! If he was being ruthless and cruel in his attacks before, that was nothing compared to the utter hell he wished to unleash now.
"Congratulations." Though the mask concealed his enraged face, it was clear from the tone of his voice that Alaster was beyond pissed. "You managed to make me bleed. Good on you!" A deranged laugh, one that held no trace of humanity, of fear, nor of mercy.
"Time to repay the favor."
Another loud caw. The crows that were driven off once again turned to Alaster, brainwashed and ready to receive his next order. Alaster grinned widely. This dirty piece of shit needed to suffer. And he knew just how to do it. A very fitting punishment for the one who had managed to incur Crowley's wrath. And so, in a slightly raspier voice than earlier, Alaster roared out his next command to the crows.
...
"POOP ON HER!"
...
No, that was not a joke. Alaster was completely serious. He wanted the crows to defecate on the heroine. In his eyes, it was a fitting punishment for the heroine. She dared to defile him with that spear of hers. She dared to defile Meiko by locking up the poor angel like she were a lowly human. And for that, it was only right (again, in his mind) that he would defile her. But again, in Alaster's mind, this punishment was not nearly as bad as what poor Meiko must be going through right now. Compared to a wrongful imprisonment, this was absolutely nothing.
However, there was more to this than just mere embarrassment. While the heroine was forced to find a way to avoid the crows' ...aerial strike, Alaster would take the chance to both back away a bit and fire his last dart. This would of course naturally be filled with more burning acid. And regardless of whether any of the attacks landed or not, he would take this opportunity to try and reload the dart gun with more ammunition.
But would he have the opening he needed? Would the crows and the dart shot be enough to keep the heroine occupied? Or would she be able to ignore it all and charge at him? |

She was mad at him, mad at herself. Mad no one had called the police yet and come up. She was not even in her hero outfit, she was wearing jeans, snow boots in this fucking snowstorm and her jacket with the hood covering her long green coloured hair. She wanted to get this over with but her left leg was like stiff, she had to pull it aside, thanks to him hitting her with that acid dart and she had no time to let Nkosi fix it or get Lindiwe out, who would maybe freeze to death, how did that work for a dread? Her side burned from the cold and the cut in her side and those crows, she swore not to stab them because that did not know better but it was starting to itch to do so. Seriously, they were like mind controlled or something, or not real, if they were not real than she should do it but god. She managed to stab Crowley, hit some of the crows away from her with the bud of her spear and she felt blood trickle down over her eyebrow. Great, a peck on her forehead had harmed her skin. Her durability wasn't everything yet.
She smacked Crowley as he gave his order, not letting him move away from her. That would mean that his order to poop on her was a hard dodge for the both of them. How calculated could his crows be? She kicked his feet away from underneath him with the idea to make him stagger, she was tired of having to dodge all his attacks, she was now too close for him to do anything with it, only the crows could be in her way but she would not lose. She would not give up. God everything hurt, body screaming at her, Nkosi pleading to let her be healed. She might even have missed he tried to fire another dart at her, in her speed of moving, it might be caught on her jacket and nothing hitting her skin but she swayed around him if she managed to kick him down and hold him by his shoulders with her spear pushing his shoulders against her, as she stood behind him. "As I said, you are under arrest." She tried to haul him back, find a better spot to stand. God everything made her tired, she felt fuzzy and stupid but this was going to work. If only she had not forgotten her radio, there was no one out there of course with the snowstorm and his minions might be back soon. God will this never end. That's it after this I quit, that was all she could think about at this point but right now she had to hold Crowley down and find the solution of how to manage to get him down and those pesky flying rats away from her!

Well, things were quickly heading south. Not that Alaster would ever want to admit it, but it was soon becoming clear that he could not hold down the heroine forever. He could not best her at close quarters combat, and was soon finding himself overwhelmed. Such a realization angered him. No! This is absurd! Why can't I murder one measly little bitch?! He was unsure of what annoyed him more, that fact or the fact that his henchmen were still not back. Were they really that incompetent? Or did the police finally arrive and were dealing with them? Seriously, those doughnut-munching morons always showed up when it was too late. Either way, Alaster was annoyed by his men. They should have been here already. Something must have happened. But who cares? Either they would find their way back to him, or they have proven their uselessness and thus were no longer wanted or needed.
On the bright side, at least the heroine did not hold him in place and use him as a meatshield for the crows' 'bomb' attack. That would have been disgusting. A shame Alaster could not hit her with 'that', but he supposed it was better than finding himself covered in crow dung.
But what disgusted him even more was what this bitch had the audacity to say to him. Looking down on him as though he were just another criminal. You, arresting me?! Such arrogance! Who do you think I am? I am not some lowly piece of rubbish, you insufferable bitch! I... I am a demon! I won't lose everything I have to the likes of you! There was too much at stake for Alaster. He could not let himself get arrested here. He needed to free Meiko. He needed to get stronger. He needed to escape. As much as he loathed the thought, he needed to get away. Alaster thought in the long term, so he would much rather concede the fight here and leave to eventually win the war than to risk losing everything to this pathetic joke of a hero.
"Oh, is that so?" Even now while on the snow-coated ground, Alaster had a plan. It was clear that he could not beat Witch Doctor in a fair fight. But who ever said this fight was a fair one? "Perhaps you ought to get off that high horse of yours." He then grabbed some snow off of the ground, making sure there was a bit of ice in it, before quickly throwing the small mass of snow and ice straight at the heroine's face. It was not sand, but it would have to do for now.
Getting up, Alaster ran as quickly as he could. He could try to caw and command the crows to do something, but the heroine would just stop him like last time. If this next trick worked, then he would no longer need them. Still, it was good to keep them in mind just in case. Dashing over to the nearby bucket filled with blood on the ground, Alaster picked it up, and with a sinister grin, dumped its contents on the heroine, hoping to drench her with blood. Of course, Alaster aimed for her face for maximum effect, either to blind her with blood, or force her to cover her face. But regardless, Alaster had a one or two second opening. And only a fool would not guess that he was more than willing to exploit that opening.
Time to make my exit.
With a whirring sound, the jetpack on Alaster's back roared to life. The stabilizer wings extended out on each side. The jets shot out blue flames. And now the heroine would be able to see firsthand the ace up the masked villain's sleeve.
"SURPRISE, BITCH! I CAN FLY!"
Shooting up into the air, Alaster grinned as he looked down on the heroine still on the ground. Did she really think she could finish things that easily? That she could end the malice, the menace, the demon known as Crowley? How pathetic! Alaster refused to fall so easily. He was not done terrorizing the masses. He would never stop. Not until Meiko was safely back in his hands. This heroine bitch was the one that opened up Pandora's Box. Any who suffered and died by Crowley's hand could blame Witch Doctor for unleashing the demon's wrath. That was one fact that Alaster was determined to make sure she would never forget.
Still, Alaster was not a fool. He would not just stay up here and gloat. He needed to get away while there was still a chance. His flight suit had limited fuel. On top of that, even if Bitch Doctor here could not fly, she would no doubt contact a hero who could. Alaster was not ready for a war. Not yet. He had already left behind his message. He needed to leave. Not just leave, but also ensure that his exit goes smoothly. There could be no mistakes, no loose ends.
Whilst in mid-air, Alaster cawed once more. He was surprised his voice had not yet died with how raspy it was now. "Come to me!" The remaining crows flew up to him as he landed on the rooftop of a very low-height building. Looking down on the heroine, Alaster shouted his final message for the night at her. With how raspy and sore his voice and throat was, the heroine would only just barely be able to hear him as though it were a whisper, despite Alaster shouting as loud as he could.
"Time for our final game of the night! Either come after me, or..." Alaster then grinned as he saw an old couple huddled together walking down the sidewalk a bit further down the nearby street. "Save some lives! Your choice!" And with that, Alaster began flying to the rooftop of the adjacent building, hoping to get within range. Once he was close enough, Alaster cawed once more, pointed to the old couple, and then barely managed to speak loud enough for the mind-controlled crows to hear him.
"RIP THOSE TWO TO SHREDS!"
Alaster would then watch as the crows began to soar down on the elderly couple. He then shifted his view to the heroine. There would easily be more than enough time for her to make it to the targets before they became crow chow. But the moment she was close enough to the elderly couple, Alaster would begin flying off in the opposite direction, hopping from rooftop to rooftop to get out. Of course, the moment he was far enough away, the crows would be instantly freed from his control. But the heroine did not know that. And even if she did begin to suspect anything, Alaster would be long gone by the time that little fact was made clear.
So easy! It's way too easy to manipulate these foolish heroes! Of course they're all high and mighty, so there's no way that bitch would choose to let those old farts get hurt!
Still, this was not a victory. Alaster did not see this fight as a win. Yes, he came here to write his message and had successfully done so, and yes he was going to escape. But there were far too many failures on his part. First, he could not kill the heroine. He simply lacked the strength to do so. Second, that bitch had no doubt learned a lot about him from their fight. From the nature of his quirk, to the tools and weapons he used, and even how he preferred to fight. She had everything necessary to formulate a plan against him should they meet again. And third, he had left some of his own blood back at the crime scene. Not that he would show up in any of their databases, but even a drop of blood was one drop too many. Alaster hated this. He loathed and despised all of this. The woman that took his lavender angel away. The woman he now hated above all others.
I will do everything in my power to utterly destroy you, Bitch Doctor! You, your loved ones, your students, your colleagues, everything and everyone you hold so dear. I WILL RIP THEM ALL APART!! |

If you thought a fight with avoiding poop was a thing than the worst was yet to come, he cut her cheek with the iceball and that made her tend to that, she could barely walk with the acid in her one leg and her other hip being hurt but she was going to stop until the moment some full force of who knows how much blood was dropped in her face. Her hoodie falling off her head but it was not even clearly visible that her hair was green as the blood mixed with it and although it wasn't that sticky it was still something that remained in her face and made her freeze in her movement. Ew. Ew. Ew get it off her. She did not want to think about the poor person that was killed or the poor persons that were killed for this amount of it but it was in her face and she tried to breathe through her mouth now, and yet avoiding getting anything in it and still hold her eyes closed.
When the biggest of the shock was over, she finally realized she was wearing gloves and she dropped the spear, but quickly stepped on it and moved the gloves over her eyes to be able to open them and see indeed Crowley fly as he just announced. She spits out some spit, not blood but she felt paranoia and freezing and painful and she heard a command but not really and she just watched the flock to attack her again, but the Murder of Crowds swooped to another street and she had to try and get there, she shivered, she now felt the cold of the blizzard. Some of the crows had managed to peck the people that were in the street but Nimue went to heal them quickly, they left eventually. The crows were interesting to consider but for now, it was not necessary, she would have to go and get her backpack bag. Gosh, darn it, still no tickets for Giovanni for Christmas.
Both her legs were heavy underneath her when she finally found her backpack and bumped into a police officer that seemed to have gotten a hold of one of Crowley's minions. He offered her a ride in their car to bring her to the nearby police station where she could fresh herself up from the blood and explain what happened. After that, they would make sure her legs were fine thanks to her own healing and that the acid was cleared up from her skin and blood. Then the same officer brought her back home to Musutafu, which was a real nice offer that she wasn't going to refuse in this blizzard. What a strange day today was and she got so tired, she just wished to do nothing for the rest of it, this wasn't how Christmas break was supposed to be or her sabbatical for that matter. She swore that one day she would get him, but that would mean more training and making more decisions and better ones and not be blinded by her ignorance and stupidity.
