Tokyo Police
Also known as "Keishichō," the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Force maintains safety and order in Japan's largest city. Following a 2041 ruling, use of quirks is prohibited while on duty, though Quirked officers stills serve in the department's ranks.
Over the past two decades, the police have become increasingly well-armed and militarized to deal with vigilantes and villains, sparking concern among many civilians.
After the establishment of Pro Heroes in 2072, the Police Department has begun to conduct joint training exercises, and other forms of cooperation with Heroes, though the relationship is still strained. Many heroes were ex-vigilantes, used to seeing police as an enemy, a feeling returned in kind. Adding to the tension is the lack of an official command structure--heroes exist outside of police hierarchy. Most officers of the Security Bureau are armed with a small sidearm, and have light combat training. In emergency situations, SATs (Special Assault Teams) are called, which use military-grade equipment and training. KNOWN MEMBERS
