Name: Alexis
Nickname: The Flame
Faceclaim/Description: Short curly hair, black. Dark skin colour. Lanky, tall. Modern clothing sense. Friendly. here
Quirk: Creating flammable liquid or gas depending on his state of mind.
Biography: Alexis started as a young and motivated journalist. He was happy with his country and where he lived and loved the happy atmosphere that the country always seemed to show off because of the openness to quirks, and tourists. He was proud to say he was from Barbados. That was until the hero system was introduced and he learned that the increase of taxes started right before the announcement of the pro-heroes. It felt as a cover up and the young journalist could not help but investigate more. The reason why he cared so much was because he cared about Barbados. Seeing how his mother fell victim to the increase of taxes and thus hitting his own life and family he had to investigate more. First he started with the investigation in the increase of poverty and where it came from. Learning and talking to politicians finally let someone burst his bubble, and taught Alexis that the new pro-heroes were a reason for the increase of money for the citizens. Tourism didn't bring them enough money?
His first idea was to teach Barbados government a lesson, with his quirk that he barely used because he had no need for it, he began to experiment. He would announce to the people inside the building before that something would happen and would give them time to evacuate before burning the building down. He also went to burn empty houses because people were not allowed to live there. Those who were too poor to be able to pay for the house above their head simply were moved out by police that came to check daily. He burned those down as well when he was sure they were empty. Making sure that there were no casualties and yet a clear message to why he did it was his motive. He put slogans in the floor as with: if they can't have it, you can't have it.
It is our money too.
We don't need people like them.
And so on, he worked careful and tactful, he was sure that he would not be found out. At one point though he was followed by one of the heroes, which at first surprised him. Alexis was sure that the heroes were there only for show and not really doing something. His talk with her did not go well, she as a spoiled brat did not seem to understand his point so he would have to go bigger. In that first bigger fire he lost his mother, because she thought he was in there and dying, she was an innocent and he never forgave himself for that. If he lost something that meant they all had to lose something, so he went for even bigger. He lost himself in that fire, realizing what he had done, he had the intention of trying to save civilians and get them out of there, unfortunately he was overcome by the smoke and fire and died himself. His course however had reached an outcome and the people of Barbados had gotten the memo and started to demonstrate. The many civilians lost in that one fire were too much, the pro-heroes had not even been there to help and thus the country was done with something that costs a lot of money and wasn't even useful. Many protests started and small fires to keep the Flame's idea ablaze.
Acts: Lots of buildings went up in flames, his own mother died in a building that he put on fire. He burned a Chief officer and several firemen and accidentally a lot of civilians, by trying to rescue them he died himself.
Status: Deceased.
