all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ It surely was a strange life all of a sudden. Last year she was still blonde, last year she had fallen from stairs thanks to a quirked gorilla and she was saved by G and they would official date the next day. Now they were married for about a month and she looked at her golden ring with shells, she really loved it and she had asked her now-husband if he could stay home for a night so she could blow off some steam, in a sort of literal sense for Elena. It really surprised her how easy it was to convince him, all her arguments had to be swallowed as he said sure before she thought he would and well here she was, the taxi had just dropped her off and she was dressed rather simple for her doing, she wore her hair up with a clip and a dark blue dress that made her eyes look rather light blue compared to it, she wore short black boots and a small bag with one phone and the house keys, she half expected G to be still awake when she got home.
She found Elena easily in the crowd. "You sounded frustrated when I texted you." Maybe she already learned more than enough from Elena, she sat down on the empty chair next to her friend and smiled because well for her nothing could go wrong at the moment, she was really happy about a lot of things and she played with the golden ring, wait, she should stop that, she did not want to pay attention to it and she put her bag on the table and her hands on her lap. "Do we first order or do you already feel like steaming?" She poked out her tongue and brushed a lose piece of hair behind her ear and wondered what to start with if she would drink, well she let Elena decide, she wouldn't mind paying, with a working Gym nowadays, the money issues were more behind her now and it was nice to have that luxury again well there were still a lot of money issues if you considered what she had to buy, insurance, everything but it was not anymore that they had the potential issue of going bankrupt which was the luxury that she meant. "How bad is it, do we start with something strong or do we start with a cider?" She tried to be funny but she definitely lacked the potential of being funny.

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
There wasn't really a place to eat in old-fashioned Japanese inns. Food was served to you in your rooms at breakfast and dinner, and since most everyone had gotten their own room, that meant Elena had been eating alone and bored out of her mind. She had lasted literally one meal--that being breakfast, today--before deciding she could not do this. She was already bored, she was already angry at being unable to act, she was already lonely, and she hated being any of those by themselves but all three together was going to kill her. Not to mention...everything else that happened before they'd come out here. So she'd whipped out her phone and sent as eloquent a text she could manage in her state to Hanako, aiming to make good on a promise the two of them had made at the start of autumn: getting plastered together and venting.
Now normally she would have met the woman somewhere like a nightclub, but since all of Shinagawa was a hot-spot for possible villain or hero activity, and she stood out in Japan like...well, a Spanish woman in Japan, going out and getting drunk was a bad idea. It wasn't even the fun kind of bad idea that was associated with getting drunk.
So she'd met the woman at the common room, and pulled her back to Elena's private rented room, because odds were she was going to have a pretty loose tongue after enough drinks, and she'd rather not anyone unsavory hear her. Or, worse, another vigilante she'd be working with when the raid happened. The room itself was what you would expect from the inn as a whole: the floor was covered in tatami mats--shoes and boots were expected to be left at the door, the doors were all sliding and made of paper, and it was nicely decorated with little bonsai here and there and some pretty yukata for the guests to wear to the bath. Elena was, however, not in a yukata but was instead decked out like she was going to go clubbing. She liked to look like this, even if she couldn't or shouldn't. Stupid covert operations. Stupid, lucky spies.
Elena sat down on the cushion besides a low, nicely painted wooden table with enough force the pair of ceramic mugs already set on it wobbled for a second. She grunted, looking up at Hanako with the grumpiest pursed lips and narrowed eyes she could muster. "That's because I am frustrated, querida. Absolutely dying of it in fact. If you'd been too busy tonight I'd have to resort to drastic measures, like bothering some random strangers to hang out with me instead. Thank God you weren't." She let out a low, long sigh. Next to the table, out of place of the rest of the room's delicate decorations, was a plain paper bag. A large plain paper bag. Elena tapped it with a finger and the contents inside it clanked together, glass and plastic and liquid.
"I hope you don't mind me being super presumptuous, but I need steaming and liquor now rather than later. I grabbed some of my preferred mixers. I'm planning on getting trashed enough that the hangover puts this whole ordeal into perspective. This place does some kind of room service, though, if I didn't get anything you like."
Resting her chin in her hand she looked Hanako over, and her pout turned into a faint smile. "You look all dolled up. I love it. Now, show me what you're staring at on your fingers before I get too drunk to see straight? And also maybe memorize where the fire extinguisher is, or which direction the public bath is, in case I light up mid-drink."

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako was glad that she knew the way around Shinagawa enough to be able to bring herself to Madam Ito. She wasn't sure yet what she would all tell Elena and to be honest, now that the biggest secret was out and so on, she would see how it would go, she wasn't going to hide things, she would see, it would happen anyway if she was drinking. Because that was what she could do now, she had prepared for this, she had informed G and so on. The fact that he knew where she was probably made it better for either of them. Surely she had rather stayed sober so she could be with her son but... he needed time with his son and she needed to learn to let go... every day this still seemed to be a slight issue. It was maybe ridiculous.
She had barely arrived or Elena already pulled her to the safeties of her private room and it surprised Hanako rather, she had no idea the issue was so bad. She looked around the room and she actually liked it but well locked up in here might be an issue, too calming, nothing to scream at but well Hanako dropped her shoes at the entrance and walked around a little to check the view but there wasn't anything spectacular going on. Okay yes being locked up, she had experience with. It had definitely had an impact on her daily life, her wonders, her thoughts, her dreams but eventually she got out and that would happen with Elena too. Besides this might be a little better than the hospital, but let's not go there. She did not want to ever bring that up again, that might be the only time she would have to bite her tongue if she got drunk. She told herself, now hoping she would remember when she get plastered.
She turned back from the window to sit on one of the other pillows opposite Elena and looked up rather curiously, her friend's face indeed everything but happy and Elena already admitted that she was frustrated. "I will always have time for my friends." Elena should know that she was on that list and Hanako gave her a wry smile, "Being locked up in here all the time?" She had been here only once before but that did not make it that she wasn't getting what Elena meant, suddenly you start to miss the moments you could go outside without thinking.
She snickered a little, "I don't mind and I am sure you have something I like, don't worry about that." Even if she did not like it, she would put her jaw strictly on the other and not complain, she did not want the room service, she wanted to be able to vent and have Elena vent and have and keep that privacy. She was surprised Elena had seen her sneak a peek at her finger and she showed up the ring, it was obvious what it was for, the silvery one was replaced by an extravagant one. "We got married last month, I mean that was not entirely our plan so we will hold a sort of marriage party next year but I loved every single minute of it." With the girls and most of all with her now-husband, she knew Elena disliked him a lot but she was so happy that she had at the few seconds only eye for her ring before putting her hand on her lap again, "Also I know where the baths are so that's a good start."

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
Elena gave a long, dramatic sigh in response to Hanako's question. "Yes, yes, all this time. I'm apparently too recognizable to be allowed out during the...thing going on." She wasn't sure how much Hanako was involved in the raid, given she was in the chat when the ad went out but was also dating the leader of her squad. If Elena were in G's shoes she'd try to keep her away from this danger as much as possible. But he'd been honest, and told her that Hanako would be as involved as she wanted to be. And Hanako had said she was putting all of the Lady Scandal stuff behind her for Kai.
So she wouldn't be in the thick of things, right? God she hoped so.
Todavía la llamé aquí, por mi propio egoísmo.
Dammit.
"I hope so. My taste is kind of same-ey when it comes to drinks. Fruity as hell and with way too much alcohol in them to taste so good." On cue she pulled out a few of the bottles and mixers, setting three on the table along with a long metal spoon. Her eyes went from the drinks, though, right to the ring on Hanako's finger, and she went stock still. What expression was she even making right now. Dread that Hanako was tied to a vigilante who'd manipulated her, even if they'd made up? Joy that one of her best friends had gotten married to somebody she loved no matter the history? Maybe a little envious of how big her smile was at the moment, but that was such a small part of it that it didn't register. Unable to pick either of those, she settled for pursing her lips together in a mocking pout to start with, before it split into a wide smile. "You need to stop doing these 'spontaneous huge life decisions' without telling me, girl. I can't exactly give you a hug and squeal when I'm late to the darn party!"
She snorted softly and moved just enough to wrap an arm around her waifish friend's shoulders, radiating heat, which was nice this time of year instead of unbearable. "For real, congratulations. You're too good for him but I'd probably say that about any guy. Pero especialmente a él." Her arm slipped away and she picked up a bottle of straight, good tequila, waving it back and forth. "Well, shit! Now I have to make us something extra good, 'cause I'm not just venting--we're celebrating, tu perra loca!"
Without waiting for a response she started mixing a few drinks. Without the right glass they would probably taste a little different, but they'd still be good. Tequila, melon liqueur, and freshly squeezed lime juice, shaken up and set down to make two Japanese "Slipper" cocktails. She slid one over to Hanako. "Alright, honesty hour, I am a much better cook than I am a bartender, but it's basically the same shit, right?" She picked up her own cocktail-filled-ceramic-tea-cup and took a sip. Tasted like fruit, not nearly as much as the tequila--which was the point--and tart and sweet and good.
She'd downed the whole thing in two swallows before setting the cup back down.
"Pffah. It's not too strong, is it?"

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She understood that Elena might be a bit obvious to spot, with her being tall, and the right mix and match of colours but she still found it ridiculous, there could be only one idea of why she was here and that's something Hanako wouldn't mingle with, so she did not say anything particularly about that, "Well good I am here then." Was all she said with a smile and she followed Elena to her room, it was at least nice, it was just, how longer you would be coped up in this place, well Hanako could imagine the walls were starting to close in at some point, but better not point that out-out loud.
She had mostly drank wine and spirits like Elena mentioned so she gave a thumbs up, "Sounds like my kind of thing." The fruiter the better, especially compared to beer or the some awful bitter taste of wine as an after taste, nope she was sure she would be fine. Also she would definitely not mind faking it as long as Elena fell for it, if necessary. To be honest it didn't sound that way and she was rather curious to see what the woman would bring up. She came back from the window to see the mixes that Elena had brought along and to see her literally mix it up.
Was she secretly a little afraid of Elena's reaction, yes she was, did she forget the moment she looked at her ring again, yes she did but when she looked up Elena did not disappoint. She had noticed the pout followed by the big smile. "I am sorry and I am not," She laughed, "It was spontaneous and perfect at the same time, his vows were like the best thing I ever heard in my life." And he told them again on their anniversary, how perfect was that. "I consider holding a wedding party next year, on the beach as we had planned and still have the spot reserved, you are definitely there, because you need to be." She teased, it was a strange thing to say or do but she was so happy about it, that she simply could not let it be different.
She did like that Elena congratulated her and that she made a comment that every guy would be too good for her, that was probably just a friend thing to say anyway and she smiled brightly, "Thank you, I really appreciate that." She had no idea what the spanish words meant but she decided to just think that they were good words and she kept laughing and smiling, "Yes, we do!" And she watched Elena, Hanako never herself had made drinks so it was fascinating to watch. "I bet it will be fine." Especially because it seemed that Elena knew what she was doing in her fluent motions when she was mixing the drinks.
She was a little hesitant, not because she did not trust Elena, but because well, she had a baby, no G was home, they would be fine. She took a sip, it was really fruity, "I really like watermelon." She said before downing the drink, she would have to keep up. "It's not." She licked her lips, because well one drop had escaped, "if you keep making me drink this all night, it will work."

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
"Bah, save me from that schmaltzy shit! Unless you have them recorded or written down somewhere, then it's your duty to share them." Elena stuck her tongue out, diabetes threatening her at Hanako's quite saccharine recalling of G's wedding vows. On one hand, again, G shouldn't be trusted worth a damn. But...she just looked so very happy about it. That didn't make everything that had been terrible alright now. But it meant something. Elena could swallow her bile for her friend to bask in her dream life for a little longer. Hopefully that would carry over to when she was drunk.
Being invited--nay, needing to be there--to the wedding reception itself didn't hurt to hear either. And it was at the beach. "Demonios sí, necesito estar allí! Are you going full-wedding-style and getting the dress and cake and all that? I will take any excuse to go shopping with you some more. And we can get Kai the tiniest little tuxedo!~"
Elena was already mixing another batch of Slippers when Hanako finished downing her glass. Alright, victory was achieved on the first drink choice. It was still too early to feel even a buzz but knowing Hanako had liked it did make her feel all warm and cheery in a similar way. "I have a feeeeew harder alcohols in here as well, so don't get too comfortable. I actually asked my boss for some fancy recipes. If I'm not trying something new while getting venty-drunk then what am I doing with my life?" She poured out her second drink and refilled Hanako's own, sipping this one rather than going for another chug. It was very sweet, so much so that it almost circled back into tartness. On top of the lip-puckering tequila that was a nice combination.
Debo convencer a Giovanni de que me deje servir cócteles durante el turno tarde...
"Then again...getting drunk on purpose so I can vent a bunch says a lot about what I'm doing with my life, so maybe that's already a lost cause. Huy, algo salió mal..."
There was a pause as she drank enough to knock the glass down to half-empty. With a low inhale she placed her arm on the table and laid her head atop it, voice dropping into a low, disheartened mutter. "Alright...so...vent number one. Yui left UA."

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She wasn't sure at first if Elena was joking or not, but the fact that her friends stuck out her tongue gave her a better feeling, but she also thought about it, "Suddenly I wish I recorded them, he even mentioned them at our anniversary dinner. Maybe I can trick him into doing it again." But that would make her swoon and forget to ask or record it again, seriously where did he find the words, she herself had so much difficulty with the idea, that she basically copied his starting point and gave her point of view. She just did not want him, at that point, to get the feeling that she did not think about it in the same way, no vows were way too difficult. But to get further into the conversation she would tell about her idea of the wedding reception at the beach next year, when they had everything, like her wedding dress. She sort of demanded one still. She nodded to Elena her questions, see someone who got her. "I mean if I get married I demand a wedding dress. You should definitely come along and I want that little tuxedo now that you pointed it out." She giggled, yes, definitely Elena should come along. That surely would make it more fun and she definitely valued her opinion, else she would maybe not have bought that coat.
The drink was nice and she raised her eyebrow slightly with the idea of harder alcohol as well as the casual mentioning Elena mentioned, "You have a job." She stated, cuz it was kind of obvious else you had no boss. She snickered a little though, "You would play it maybe safe if you did not try out something new, but what is this new that he taught you?" She was curious and she hoped her friend would tell a little bit more about her job, that was a good step to the future that she hoped Elena got.
She could not help but laugh loudly after the grumbling of Elena and she shook her head, "You should see it from another perspective, blowing off steam to go on in this crazy world makes you maybe smarter than those that do not do that, see it as recharging." She was getting a little more curious about what all would bother Elena but that information was given soon enough. She took the glass again and lifted it up to down it but Elena's mood change made her freeze and she looked at her friend, the first words that came up in her mind were what, but that would not help Elena who looked devastated, they have spoken about it before but seriously that it would happen already now was what surprised her. "Did she get expelled or...?" She wasn't sure if there was another option, to let a fourteen year old decide was what Hanako would never accept. But yes, well she might not know or should not speak because Haruuhi's issues were still not over and she wasn't sure if Miku simply stopped sharing anything, she barely spoke to the girls.

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
Elena snorted into her cup. She knew tiny tuxedos existed, and Kai would be, what, a year or so old by the time they got married? So that was plenty of time to plan out the clothes and the accessories and all the adorable little details. Hm, she would never have pegged herself for being the one who went all-out for weddings, but it was a perfect chance to do so. "I will drag you out to help me pick a dress before then. I know I have excellent taste already but it will be like doing bridesmaids shopping! If," she paused, pursing her lips together for a second, "If you're cool with calling it that."
Did Hanako have other female friends? She had to, right? Elena and her were friends but she probably had others who were much closer to her that she'd rather have as...
"Oh, maybe we could bring G's daughter--daughters?--along, and get matching ones!"
Cuál es el punto de humillarme? Somos amigas. Amigas están ahí el uno para el otro.
"I do in fact have a job. An actual job, with actual pay, and a boss who isn't a creep," Elena sighed, relief heavy in her words like warm steam. "God, I am so lucky I found this place. And, I mean, the boss is a little strange, but in the same way as a lot of the vigilantes I know are. Good-strange. And he's an immigrant like me, so he said he understood what I'm going through. He even said he'd help me get my visa! Isn't that totalmente impresionante?" Downing the rest of her drink, she set the clay cup down and pushed it across the table in front of her. "He taught me how to make this drink called a 'negroni'. Which for a second I thought was racist. El italiano es raro."
Ahh, this wasn't going to be a pleasant discussion. She could just see the concern on Hanako's face, even without looking at her. It wasn't like she didn't appreciate that, and she had no reason to feel self-conscious for a decision Yui made--or had made for her--but still, still, she had just been talking about how much she feared Yui would do something stupid and turn out just like her or her adoptive father. Lo and behold.
"I don't know. She kept saying she left, that she chose to leave, and when Yui thinks she did something she won't believe anything else, even if it's detrimental to her." She bit the inside of her lip and her eyes slid closed, her head still on her arm, on the table. Her brow knit tight into an angry knot. "If she did get expelled, she didn't tell us what for. If she didn't get expelled, I don't know why the hell U.A would let a kid make that decision and not ask her guardians about it...? That doesn't feel likely. I even tried to ask Mikky if he knew what was going on, but he's not Yui's teacher, so..."
Her fingers clenched on the wooden table.
"...either way, she's locked out of becoming a hero now. Here anyway. But there's no way we'd want to send her away just for that. But now she either has to stop doing what she's doing completely and be a 'normal person', lo que sea que eso signifique, or become a vigilante like me and Kocchan and G...and I just...it was one thing when she could get a license, and was still being a moron sometimes. What do I tell her now? Not to do good, just because she flunked out or whatever from hero school? I don't want this life for her! Hell, I don't even want this life for me--I'd so much rather be doing this with all the legality and politics and whatever, if only because I wouldn't need to hide and could help people without any of this fear of arrest! MIERDA!"
Elena slapped her hand down, and a brief flicker of blue light sparked around the tips of her sharp, green fingernails, but it was too brief for the table to catch or even char.
"Parece que todo es mi culpa de alguna manera. Como si hubiera hecho algo mal, y ahora ella está en la misma mierda que yo..." She brought bother her hands to her hair, tangling her fingers into the bleached white curls. "...pequeña estúpida pepita."

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako was actually surprised about Elena her was the word attitude right? The enthusiasm surely was welcome but she wasn't sure how to tell her friend that she already had an idea about bridesmaids but still she wanted Elena to be there as well and she would be an important part of the guest list because Hanako finally had a friend that she felt like she could share everything with. So she understood that her enthusiastic friend suddenly hesitated but she was not sure how to tell or how to continue, she had not organized enough to worry about it and so on. "Yes, my idea for bridesmaids were the two girls, that is if they want to of course, we got married before anything really happened when it came to the planning but I did ask them before. It would be nice if you would come along, I really need your opinion too." Probably very much for a wedding dress, would girls at the age of sixteen not like everything if they even dreamed of a wedding. How strange that she never did and now could not imagine to not go and get married to this man. The man that was now her husband, but she hoped that within a year, she could make up for her own mistake. She told herself again that she should do everything to not talk about that.
She was glad to hear when the conversation switched by the new information that Elena had a job and that she liked her job. Or well that was the first impression that Hanako got from Elena. She listened to what Elena had to say, about the good strange and that he understood her issue with a visa, which was surely a blessing. "It is certainly impressive." And good, a job meant she would be able to get her visa when she got the right age, that's what she told her on their first meeting right? When Elena finished her second drink, Hanako noticed she did not keep up so she downed her second one as well, "The name sounds hm, how to say it." Not racist, that wasn't the first thing that crossed her mind but that was maybe because it wasn't a word in her daily category, she thought of dark in the sense of darkness, horror, but decided to simply shake her head, "Well let's say it brings me curiosity so I would look forward to it." She simply watched, not a mixer herself she had no intention of getting anything like that.
Their new conversation starter, which was probably the whole idea of venting and being upset and the need for potential water buckets, made her hold her breath for a second. Yui stopped? While listening it took a second for Hanako to realize that Mikky must be Mikhail, they only spoke about it before and it was the only reasonable name that could be shortened about that. "Can't you-" She stopped her sentence, Elena wasn't the direct parent so no she probably could not. What a hateful situation, she herself would not know how to answer, not only because she did not agree but also because the situation was unknown and her opinion was sort of uncalled for if she did not have the right information.
She only listened, there was no answer she could provide, nothing to sooth the issue out. Because the thing was kind of clear, Yui did not understand the importance and those that handled nurturing her did not seem to have, hold or want the power to kick her back into the school if that was possible or not. She only shook up when Elena pushed the table and she had not understood a word from the Spanish phrase that came next but she had an idea. "It's not your fault. You are young and that may sound like an excuse but it should not be your priority and it isn't to be blunt. You have to think of your own way to be able to stay here and be able to do what you want. Be that example that she needs. Maybe she won't be able to get the license through the school anymore but that doesn't mean there won't be other options in the future." She almost said that they would find a way but she swallowed that sentence quickly. Not yet.

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
"I think I kind of met one already. At least, she hacked into the vigilante chat room, and G got mad at her. No puedo creer que lo esté diciendo, but I related so hard..."
Elena got the hint enough from Hanako's words. And it made perfect sense to her! She was her friend, yes, but those girls were going to be her step-daughters--were her step-daughters, technically--so of course she'd want to have them at the heart of things. Elena could come along to help with colors. If they looked anything like G, compared to Hanako's paleness, they'd need something quite colorful...though she had no idea what the man's natural hair color was. His roots were black? Maybe?
Actually...were they even his biological daughters? He didn't look much older than her or Hanako, but his daughters were both in UA, and one was able to hack the chat. What lead to a guy like him taking in so many kids? How old was he when he did?
Why was she caring so much about that asshole's life in the in the first place???
Porque hace feliz a Hanako.
Cállate, cerebro. Estás borracho.
"Hmm, are you set on just white for the dress? Because there are some killer wedding gowns that have just a splash of color on the hem or the tail or waist, and it's totally gorgeous. I see them on Instasnap all the time. Very extra but very pretty."
Elena opened her eyes just long enough to spare a rather longing look at the bottle of straight tequila, tempted by the conversation at hand to just chug it. But if she was going to get plastered she wasn't going to do it with something that tasted like nothing, or like utter shit. It was good tequila thank God but it wasn't meant to drink alone...not unless it was shots, anyway. She closed her eyes again, fingers still running through her hair. If she didn't calm down, she'd start smoking. Literally. And she was not drunk enough to not care what happened to her hair, or to the fancy lace clothes she was wearing. The hotel, too, was also probably she shouldn't set on fire.
Normally the "you are young" argument rubbed her the wrong way, but with how she felt about Yui and this whole mess, it felt...fitting. She was young. Only five years of difference between herself and her "niece" was not enough for her mental maturity to hit the point where she could handle a teenager. Another teenager, even. She was so ill-suited to being that sort of role-model. Toma fit so much better, but he was busy...
...
And there was always the future, where who-the-hell-knows-what could happen. Maybe she could get it as an adult if she didn't get arrested before then. She wasn't an idiot. Well, not strategically. She was a huge idiot when it came to most things but she was a smart idiot. If only she could figure out how to make the brain she had when playing chess or plotting a fighting strategy to use outside of those situations.
Cómo me gustaría poder poner mi fuego a otros usos...
"...I wish I had a quirk that didn't just hurt people," she mumbled into her elbows and the table, "Then maybe I'd be a better example. Fire isn't known for being forgiving or merciful or good. Hell she's...she's scared of me when I'm transformed...what kind of hero, now or ever, is gonna have a Quirk that frightens and only does harm...?"

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako blushed, before she took a deep breath and tried to let out the air in slow way, "Yes, we are not entirely happy about that, but try to reach a teenager is a very hard job so I don't want to underestimate the one you ware trying to do. Everything is easier said than done, we warned her that we won't tolerate it." She sighed, but it did not seem to work and she did not want to think about the other fights that Haruuhi in a way had caused. She did hope it would go better now in the future.
She had no intention of saying no to her friend but this was her idea and she was glad that she seemed to react rather coolly about it, that was a good thing. She took a deep breath again and tried to calm down, this was nothing she should stress about, this should be something that she was happy about. "A splash of colour?" Hanako thought about it, relieved that they could just talk about it, she wondered how the splash of colour would work, "I am always afraid that white would make me look like I don't know a zombie bride, so pale, but it's traditional, here and in Hawaii. Though I refuse to wear a Kimono." She didn't mind the idea of very extra and she fished her phone out of her bag to show her the idea that she had seen in one of the stores and she quickly found it because she had obviously saved it and put her phone on the table to show Elena this specific picture.
As they now came to the topic of Yui, Hanako knew she was playing a game that most people did not want to hear, the thing is that Elena had to hear it, so she tried to sell it honestly, the young comment rubbed people the wrong way often but it was a thing and it was Hanako's honest opinion. She found herself already too young to deal with such teenagers and a baby but here she was and she was definitely not a role model yet. But it seemed to have gone well as the conversation just died down a little and Elena mumbled something else. "A hero that knows the limits of her being." Maybe it wasn't good to always have a reporter answer ready to such issues but she did, "You know your limits, and it's up to you to learn, why not come to the gym when this affaire is all over, we can talk, we can figure things out, I will ask Goliath to be there, he has enough water to cool you off. Besides the gym will be able to work with quirkers, you can go all out, learn your limits, you will be a great hero Elena and I know that simply because you care about it." She leaned over the table to hold Elena her hand, "You are not alone, you have me, you have Mikhail, I am sure he would care about you being able to use your quirk the way you want it."

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
Elena leaned in to look at the picture Hanako was showing her, and whistled through her black-painted lips at the sight of the dress. It was gorgeous; not what she would call a "wedding gown" but who had any right to say what was or wasn't something you could get married in? Nobody, that was who. "Ooh, with your hair done up and a really shiny pallet for your eyes and lips, you'd look like a goddamn rainbow in this!" She looked back up at Hanako, smile turning sly. "You know, even if I'm not in the wedding party, I could do your make-up. You've seen an array of my skills; I have every color under the sun! Even some I think are only visible to certain shellfish."
Hah. Shrimp. Because G summoned a...okay those drinks were hitting her hard.
Before she noticed, Hanako was touching her hand, and Elena opened her eyes again to look at her, their color glossy but cheeks dry. She wasn't drunk enough to start the waterworks--yet--but she sure felt them stinging at the back of her eyes. Her hand turned so she could squeeze Hanako's fingers with her own. Hanako's lack of warmth in comparison to Elena's was kind of funny. But there was more than physical warmth to her words. That there were people who cared about you, and who wanted you to do well and be better; wasn't that something every person in the world wanted? For so long she'd only had Tatsuya and...that was strained over the last three or so years.
But what she said about Mikhail...
Ah, eso duele.
She chuckled weakly, voice still quiet and heavy. It wasn't a happy sound. "You might be right, but...thing is, is he doesn't know what it is. My Quirk. I...I haven't told him yet." The truth stung at her tongue to say it and she desperately wanted to drown it again, but it kept rolling out. Uh-oh. Más ventilación, entrante. "I still haven't told him anything. Nothing real. I didn't tell him what my job was before I got this one as a chef because I was embarrassed he'd look down on me for being a hostess, I'm never going to tell him I do vigilante work because he'll have to arrest me, and I still haven't told him about my Quirk. What if he sees it in the news?? 'Woman made of blue fire' is hard to miss, isn't it?! And--and what if I hurt him, too?"
"Because I'm so goddamn scared that I'll hurt him because I burst into fucking flames when my emotions get to wild, we h-haven't even...even..." Her cheeks flushed blue and she ducked her head down again. Nope. Nu-uh. Ending that train of thought before it ran away from her again. "Odioooo...I'm the worst girlfriend eveerrrr...!"

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Was a rainbow a good thing? Hanako had no idea but she would trust the judgement of Elena that it would be, "That's nice, right? I mean it's a beach theme so I wanted something floating, airy, happy and yet flowery." She liked flowers, everyone liked flowers this thing was exactly what she wanted, let's not look at the price because who cared about that. She would manage that in a way, she just did not want Elena to think about that, and besides the picture did not show the price. "I mean that does sound amazing, and well maybe I can have a third bridesmaid, I don't know." She did not think about it in that way and she did not mind and it would be amazing, "You do have to help me with the colouring and all I can match my own clothing but apart from that I am a disaster." She was sure that Elena again would do a far better job in that and letting her friend do her make-up and hair, that sounded amazing. She giggled at her last comment, "You are so hired." She said with a giggle, wait did she giggle more now than she normally did? Nah it was far too early for that yet.As they continued talking and the whole giggling "fiasco" as Hanako would call it was over, she was worried about Elena and even made the effort to try and hold her hand. She gave her a small smile when her friend squeezed her hand, she wanted Elena to know so much and yet the words would not be there. Not on the tip of Hanako's tongue and maybe they were a little too much. She did not want to feel like she was superior or anything like that, she wanted Elena to dare and talk about anything to her and to be just okay with... with the whole setting even if that would take time because Hanako could wait for that. She decided that it was better to talk than only squeeze hands, it would be much more clear to get her point across and so she spoke and she said maybe something wrong. Because at least that's what she felt like was the reaction on Elena's face. Maybe she should have kept it to herself, but a good boyfriend would care. Oh, what did she know. Oh, he didn't know. "I do not blame you for that." Maybe it was the fire, maybe it was the... oh yes, well that made sense. She was quite for a while, even so long that Elena continued and Hanako who might have blushed speaking about such a thing and in a sort of public way and Elena her cry out made Hana realize that she sort of had to man up for now and step over that embarrassing feature, surely when she was alone with... G, she would be fine but not-no nah ah. She would do it. She felt a strain on her voice, burning bright red cheeks but she would say it. "I understand you won't tell him and I think it is a very reasonable thing not to tell him about your vigilante job, what he doesn't know can't harm him. But and it's a big one and you will have to think about it for quite some time, I think you should break the information too him softly, can you imagine if he was in your footsteps and you in his and at one point by someone or something else your discover that your girlfriend has a quirk like that and that's why she was distant and it sort of seems that she didn't trust you? I know it is the worst situation ever but I am a fan of sharing it, in steps, in steps definitely and you don't have to share all, to make sure that he heard it from you and no one else." Surely there was always the risk he figured it out first, "As for the other thing, your emotions that make you burn well we are going to figure that one out, baby steps so to say. Every little thing might help." She had no idea how but she would get into this, maybe she should start a desk at her own gym: how to help people out with their quirk. She already got two customers.
But apart from that, maybe she should figure out how Elena could share pieces of her life to Mikhail, how to convince her friend. She did not want them to be hurt the way she was. Even if she did not know the pro-hero. But hearing something from a complete stranger, that was the worst. Never ever did she want that again, that was for sure.

- You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry -
To keep her now-on-the-farther-side-of-tipsy hands busy, Elena started mixing drink number three, going for the one she'd been taught by Giovanni. It was pretty simple in all honesty, just Campari and gin and sweet vermouth. It didn't taste as fruity as the other drink but those were just warm-ups. This was for getting actually smashed.
"Duh I'm hired. But thanks for making it official," she gave Hanako a cheeky grin, but the warmth behind it was a hundred percent genuine. Good. Bridesmaid or not she was going to help her friend look like a goddamn queen on that beach. Hell yeah.
Once the drinks were strained into the clay cups she took out an orange from the bag, peeled a bit of it off, and placed it into the cups. And then she straight chugged it. That probably wasn't the right way to drink one of these but right now she was sure that the heat coming off her face would ignite any alcohol that touched it, so she had to get it into her mouth as fast as possible. That made sense, right? Hanako was encouraging her to break as much information as she could to Mikhail as softly and as slowly as possible, but the words felt...strange for her to hear. How soft was too soft? What step were they at right now? They'd been together for...eight months now. Technically? On and off and on again. She should have told him everything by now right? Wasn't that how relationships worked? She knew she cared a lot about him...
...
Es lo mismo cierto para él?
"...when...you and G had been together for eight months, where were you in your, uh, relationship? Had he shared everything with you, or you with him? Were you guys always, like, 'together'-together from the start, or did you take breaks?" She glanced up from buried in her arms, cheeks still so blue she may as well just burst into flames to look less ridiculous. She wouldn't. Probably. "Had you two...um...you know..."
Es eso realmente necesario???
Mi único otro amigo se folló a su novio en la cita tres! Cómo puede ayudarme?!

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako simply watched, she wasn't sure if she should interrupt Elena from doing so or if it was better to do it like this. She kept herself busy and focused on the conversation and making the drink, maybe that was a better strategy, Hanako didn't want to think it had to be one. But her friend seemed to have a lot of things going on. She shook her head and laughed a little about the cheeky grin that Elena gave her and she continued to watch her friend make the drink. "I am glad you will help." Was what she muttered, she might have said it without the official words before so it was good to do it now.
She watched Elena, so casually and fluently getting the orange and peeling it, well that was an interesting view but she wasn't sure what to do more with it. She simply stared as the young woman chucked the drink and took a sip herself first for the taste, should she follow or not. She decided to take a little longer with it, the flavour was definitely something different than before but she wasn't going to complain about it.
She took a deep breath, oh... time to open that can. She swayed a little with the clay cup, making sure the drink would not yet spill before she would pull it back again. "That's a long story. We were childhood friends, so I knew already about his quirk. He got it right before he disappeared from my world. As my only real friend or so I thought I was kind of obsessed with him as a child but I grew over that. Three years ago I bumped into him and even if we were distant to each other there was this spark and well we had this one night stand which wasn't really good as we were both dating. But we would try to hang out together more, it did not really work out. He was hiding his life from me, his daughter, everything but he had told me. About the house that he lived in, about being a vigilante, already all there and than almost a year later we decided to meet up again, it was me who texted him because I was done waiting. I already gave up on the fact that he liked me and to be honest I can add that I wasn't even sure if I liked him at that point. It was just... fun?" She sighed again, definitely not proud of that moment nor how she handled Kazuki, they were already on the brink of breaking up but that did not mean that cheating was suddenly a good thing to do. "I pushed him away, thinking he would never like someone or could be with someone like me. We had our issues of not sharing, even if I knew he was a vigilante I didn't know what he was doing, he did not know that I was Lady Scandal. We had quite a big fight about that, and it was difficult to give each other the space and maybe even respect about it, but we managed and that's when as Lady Scandal I heard he got me pregnant because I was dumb, while to me he said that he could wait." She took a big gulp of the drink and put the cup down. "I know and I still feel that I shouldn't be entirely blamed for that, I should have been careful yes but if he knew and noticed, I shift it more to him and it is still wrong but I love my son, the idea that I could lose him two months before his birth had given me enough stress and stuff to be so scared that we grew together again, we had already talked before about what he expected, what I expected, about everything that should be off the table if we wanted to be together again not just for the baby but because of ourselves." She felt like crying but she didn't, though her eyes were teary. "When we broke up, I considered an abortion but I couldn't and I am glad I did not, he might not be the perfect man for everyone but he is for me." She took another deep breath and sighed directly after that, "I wish that I was more patient at that time, so yes I did hence the one-night-stand, hence the baby because yes I didn't pay attention, it's not bad to know and wait though."
