A picture is usually worth a thousand words. Strike a pose, take a shot. That's how it usually was. Sometimes, though, there were moments that were ephemeral in a way that photographs just could not capture them properly. That night, one of those moments came and went like the twitter of birdsong, while it seemed mundane in its own way it would never be the same again. That night, Sonya Chernova arrived at the Elysian Garden. Stress had accumulated and she needed some time to herself. She dismissed her professor and even hailed a cab on her own. She was confident in her ability to protect herself, when it was to such a high class establishment. They did not want a reputation of losing their clients after all.
When she arrived at the gardens she made a beeline to the massage and relaxation lounge. The attendants equipped even to handle a quirker with dangerous skin. Lead lined silk gloves and lotion were more than enough to pierce the everpresent veil of lethal light that rippled on her skin. She had been surpressing it for over a week, allowing people to touch, prod, shake her hand, kiss her cheek. It made her shudder. This would be the last time she held it in for a while. She needed to burn some moonlight, badly.
It was after a lengthy massage with a rather dashing little waif that Sonya made her way to the springs. The real attraction of the garden. They'd made a deal with her that she would get to utilize the accommodations only on nights she performed. That was fine with her. Her appearance was enough to draw crowds, let alone her music. She was no maestro, no master, but she was good enough to get what she wanted when she wanted it. That was enough, in the end. She quirked her lip as she stepped out into the hot spring-a towel wrapped around her porcelain body, an ethereal white glow hanging around her, cast by her quirk. She looked down at the hot water and touched it, it sizzled and bubbled around her skin but eventually the heat of the water won out. She slipped into the water, a loud hiss escaping around her as warmth finally touched her aching body.
"I needed this..." She sighed listlessly, looking up at the moon. "...terribly so..."

While the much classier woman before her was using the services to relax after a tense and stressful week in her life, the heroine Red horn was more her to relax after a week of physical aches and pains caused by...well, in her books, enjoying her life and living it the way she loved to. It was still a rough style of life though. While she could recover a little faster than the average human, she by no means had a recovery type of quirk, which left her with a lot of aches and pains by the end of the weeks from where muscles had become knotted or her bruises had taken a while to recover from. Ultimate, a nice, deep massage was a good thing for her, and thanks to her connections to the owner of the Elysium, it was one of the few places a hero her size could get a massage without anyone being tempted to charge her extra.
She made sure to purposely tighten herself up before she even got on the massage table, pushing up as much muscle as she could. Afterall it'd be a bit of a pointless massage if, when she grew out her muscles again, they came out all knotted. Had to give the massage therapists as much to work with as possible. Over a nice, long, deep massage, she finally managed to relax a little, but the sensation washing over her refreshed muscles was so good she didn't wanna lose it, keeping her muscles present as much as possible. She left her hero costume in a secure locker, and with a towel about her hips and one wrapped around her chest, headed straight for the establishment's hot spring to let herself relax a little...though she did pause before fully leaving.
"How full is it today?" She'd ask one of the staff.
"Oh, I havn't seen many people go in there." They'd quickly reply. "But don't worry Miss RedHorn, if anyone tries to ruin your relaxation, you know you can just talk to one of the guard-staff."
Mia shared a nod, not wanting to deal with any huge fans right now. She walked into the hot spring, stretching her relaxed arms up over her head and stepping into the water with a quick but deep sigh the moment she got in to her hips. She found one of the seat like outcroppings built into the side of the pool, slowly easing backwards into the steaming water, her arms draped along the edge of the pool and her head tipped back with an almost growl like sound of relief.
"Now that's the stuff..."

The sound of someone entering the group bathing area drew Sonya's brief attention. She had settled herself in an isolated spot in the water, the steam gathering around her glowing, petite, porcelain frame until it was all but obscured. Above her, the moon glowed and gave her newfound strength, it felt so good to finally relax, the water even warmed her body a bit, the heat of the fluid overpowering her quirk. She smiled contentedly until a gentle whisper caught in her ear, the hostess had a voice throwing quirk, informing her that the sake she had requested had arrived and was ready for her to recieve at the edge of the water.
Sonya rose to her feet, traipsing through the water with a gentle stride, the water rising up to just beneath her shapely figure. As she walked her quirk sparkled and danced around her body, casting a sparkling halo about herself. She passed by the large figure with the reddish protrusion without stopping for a word, letting her long hair dance through the air behind her. She only stopped to take the drink from the hostess waiting for her.
"You were fast, thank you," Sonya said smoothly, turning away and walking back into the water, her shoulders square and her nose in the air. A small smile played on her face, a drink to top it all off... this was nice. This was what she craved, the sensation of abject pleasure. It felt so damn good. She caught the red thing out of the corner of her eye again and stopped to examine it, naked from the waist up, in front of another woman who had slipped into the water. She couldn't make out a face or a figure, just the red horn.
Her eyes lingered until the mist passed and their eyes met. She offered the faintest of smiles before resuming her walk toward the secluded spot she had been enjoying.

Mia had her eyes closed for a moment, just enjoying the cool air on the shoulders being met with the rising steam of the hot springs themselves, a lackidaisical expression on her features as she rolled her head from side to side along the back of her neck, just enjoying being so loose and relaxed for once in a while, but in the right way too. Being bored into a relaxed state could make her feel small and weak and tired...here she could feel the energy, but it was tempered, and spread across her body in a more pleasant way than the tension a battle could bring.
Still, even as she closed her eyes the shifting of the water around her wouldn't go unnoticed. She'd briefly thought she was alone for some reason before recalling she'd seen at least one other guest of the establishment in the hot springs as she came in. Not only that but she was getting a weird glare on her eyelids. Not much but it's like someone was shining a torch in the opposite direction. The light was dim but...there. Eventually she was just curious enough to peak an eye open....and damn was she glad she did.
Rather blatantly her head tipped off to the side and followed the woman as she sauntered over to get her sake, a soft but fairly wide smile creeping across her features as she just admired the classy looking beauty before her taking a sip of her drink before seeming to turn to face her, easily able to find her faintly shimmering eyes through the mist, but her smile perking up even more as she realized that the other woman would be able to clearly see her too as the mist faided, but beyond a brief shared smile,s he seemed happy returning to her own spot.
Mia thought for a moment, just to leave this woman to enjoy her own space here...but seeing how much of a knockout she was that same thought was eaisly dismissed, leaning over towards her along the rim of the hot spring as she chimed across. "Hey beautiful. You fance some company over there?~" If she got turned down she had the sense to let the other woman enjoy her own space, but in this moment she felt confident enough to ask at the very least, especially given she was literally standing out like a beacon.

Sonya had come to a stop at the edge of her small rock formation. It was a cozy little inlet just beyond the main part of the pool where guests could find some modicum of privacy. She placed the plate of sake down on the water, letting it float on the nearly undisturbed surface. She reached down into the water and ran it over herself, letting the pops and crackles resume for a moment before taking a deep breath. Her hair fell down her back to a stop and she gazed up at the moon, basking in it.
"Hey Beautiful. You fance some company over there?" Came a voice. Feminine but powerful. Sonya's hands came to a stop, surprise marking her face for the first time in what must have been years. She had never, never been propositioned like that by a woman before. She heard the water slosh a bit somewhere behind her and she took another breath, pulling in her quirk completely on instinct. She kept her back to the one speaking, the mist around her almost completely chased away by a mixture of her quirk and the location. She could see a face. Beautiful, fierce, interesting.
With her bare back exposed and her one glowing pink eye on the woman watching her she wrapped an arm around her waist, feeling a bit more naked than she had before. She should just dismiss this imbecile, chase her off, end her miserable life before she dared speak that way to her again. She should - "If you'd like," She said, startling herself. What was she saying? She righted herself; she was off balance. "May I ask the name of the woman propositioning me in a public bath?" She demanded, reaffirming herself and flicking her head away, looking up at the moon.

Mia was perhaps a bit more...masculine, in her typical approaches to wooing the same sex, she knew what kind of person she was, what kind of impression her image could give, and she rolled with it without restaight or shame. With her cheek resting on her palm and her elbow along the edge of the hot spring pool, she just gave the beautiful woman now resting in the water a firm smirk, easily able to turn it off should she not be receptive, but more than happy to give her some attention if she didn't mind it. It was one of Mia's few rules. A clear no, or heck, even a firm lack of interest, was to be accepted. If someone seemed a little unsure she might push just a tad, but she knew where to draw the line to hopefully not leave too bad an impression after an attempt to chase what her eyes had found interest in.
Even viewing her from the back seemed to give a nice view, very pale skin but very delicate by the looks of things too, definitely what she liked to see. Didn't seem like she was frail by any means either which was good...definitely a classy lookin lass, and very uch what she liked to see herself. Sure, with her rugged features finding a classy looking girl to swing her way wasn't the easiest thing, and if it happened, it tended to be a brief fling, but she just loved her a bit of the upper class...well, classiness~
As her flirting seemed to be recieved somewhat well, she slowly stepped up, the water indeed shifting as she did and pushing her way through the warm water, sitting herself into the inlet and smirking across at the pale skinned beauty, resting herself into one of the seats designed into the edge of the pool and sinking in deep, but still ultimately taller than the woman beside her, offering across a smile at her own teasey little question. "Name's Mia, though these days I'm glad for the pleasure to introduce myself. Not often I meet someone who dosn't recognize me." She chuckled and added. "Wouldn't call it a proposition though, just offering some company at this stage..." She tipped her head to the side, looking up and down the beautiful woman beside her. "Can I ask the name of the woman who's gonna be part on my mind all day?~"

Sonya had not taken in the other woman's ... self ... until that very moment. Every ounce of practiced self control from her studying as a performer at the university was needed to keep a straight face when those glowing pink eyes took in the woman. The word striking would be a disservice to the powerful beauty that stepped out of the mist. Sonya's throat went dry and she felt a tightness in her spine. She looked away and slipped down slowly into the water, regaining her composure.
Mia? She'd heard the name mentioned before. Where was it? She was clearly famous somehow, interesting. Sonya reached for the tray of sake and set it aside on the more stable rim of the pool, pouring herself a small cup and leaning against the stone. She took a sip and sighed after several soothing heartbeats. The woman spoke again and Sonya's lip curled, flirt.
"Sonya, I am sorry I do not know you, I have lived here not much longer than a year." She said, not bothering to hide her accent. The woman sank into the water next to her and she kept her face forward, the powerful arm brushing her skin sent a chill up her spin again. She kept herself from rolling her jaw in frustration. If it hadn't been for the work she'd been doing she would have had herself an underclassman or something! But no, she'd been too busy to satisfy herself and now she was here, in this place, with this... ugh she groaned internally.
She reached for the tray, stifling a laugh at her situation and took another sip of her sake before looking up at the moon. A little company wasn't terrible, she admitted. Mia Kearney

"Heh, same here, didn't stop me making a name for myself I guess.~" She'd playfully knock back a little with a mild smirk of her own, resting deeper against the stone, each of them somewhat careved rather than natural to allow for comfort over authenticity, but even then the place was so well made you'd be hard to find a reason to knock the place in any regard, even in this. Everything looked natural while sitll allowing those fresh from a massage to rest into the stone without worrying about getting their loose muscles all knotted over again.
"Sonya though huh? That's definitely a fittingly elegant name for such a beautiful little lady.~" Up close it did now strike her just how much smaller the other woman was. Sure, she was very used to looking down towards woman around her sheerly due to her own size, but this was definitely a more striking contrast, bringing a light chuckle through her nose but a very short lived one at that, her sharp red eyes, not glowing, but sitll present through the mist, tracing up and down the beautiful silver haired lass idly as they rested together. "That accent though...European? No..." She lightly rubbed her chin in thought. "Got a bit more of a strike to it...Russian?~"

Sonya made a face at the smart remark. She raised an eyebrow and actually glanced in the woman's direction. So she was famous, interesting. She clearly had the wealth to be here but more than that, she was absolutely in her element. She'd done this before. Why was that so concerning to Sonya? She frowned momentarily at the thought before waving it away. It was pointless to dwell on it when something so amusing had just sat down right next to her.
Pink glowing eyes traced Mia's frame. The blatant compliment lost against the iron will of a woman used to being doted upon. She looked away and took another sip of her sake while she mulled over who the hell this woman could be. Not a businesswoman, she didn't have the build for it, and she would have heard of her sooner. Vigilante? Villain? No, no, neither. She had the aggression of a vigilante but not the flexibility. A villain of her size would have already tried to take advantage of Sonya by now. She'd killed her fair share of idiots who tried.
A hero then. Mia. Now that she thought of it...
Sonya felt her stomach drop, she took another sip of her sake and forced her body to relax. No sign of tension, nothing. Her momentary lapse, while she tried to reign herself in, had almost resulted in not hearing the question asked. She sipped again at her sake and nodded, a few strands of hair falling over her shoulder and across her pale breast. "Yes, I am from the eastern regions, I moved here to study music," She said, tilting her head toward the number bloody one hero.
Was she getting played?
"Do you have a thing for foreigners, miss hero?" She asked, testing the waters.

Mia caught that look. Wasn't the first time she'd gotten it. Just that brief flare of the eyes when they met her horn that said someone finally recognized her, if not visually, than at least by name. A flick at the corner of her lips as they pulled into a smirk and she rested back again. She didn't point it out, she didn't like to embaress people with it unless they brought it up. Potentially she could just be wrong too so why even risk it, but for this moemtn at least she felt cheekily confident that she was on the right line here, smirking even wider.
"Ah, glad I got it right. I tend to slip up a little now and then." She'd chuckle a little, and even more so with the question as to her having a thing for foreigners, she tipped her head left and right as if mulling over the question before meeting Sonya with a firm smile, resting deeper back into the spot she was laying into. "Oh I can say I do, but really it's only for the pretty ones." She'd add an idle wink before rolling her neck about a turn on her shoulders.
"How about you though. Normally if someone's just trying to relax they don't put up with me for this long...unless o'course they've had more sake." She'd cheekily comment, but growing more comfortable with her flirting by the momeent as the girl didn't seem to be brushing her aside or asking to be left alone. "A beautiful girl like you, left all alone in a nice, relaxin' place like this? I'd be worried if I was your boyfriend. Some of the other girls might get ideas with a hottie like you walkin' on through a steamy place like this.~"

Sonya's smile widened a little, her eyes flicking forward to stare out at the wall that circled the open air springs. Mia made herself comfortable, not even bothering to show any concern about where she was or who she may or may not be sitting next to. Pure, unrivaled, confidence. Amusing, annoying, asinine. Sonya's lip curled a bit and she sipped at her drink again. "Playing the detective now, are we miss Hero?" Sonya asked playfully, waving a hand at the suggestion that her 'boyfriend' might be worried. "The only men I concern myself with are my professors at the University."
Sonya's shoulders relaxed while she eased further into the conversation. Sonya reached for the Sake tray and gently guided it atop the water to a spot in front of Mia. "A drink, detective?" If Mia offered to pour one out for herself, Sonya would stop her. Instead, she slowly shifted her weight to turn and face Mia partially, her hair falling down past her neck and on either side of her face. Two pink eyes glowed from beneath the curtain of silver while she poured one out for Mia.
When she was satisfied with her pour, she held Mia's gaze for several seconds before turning back to sit where she had been, as if she had done nothing or said nothing. She sipped again at her drink, letting the warmth flood through her limbs again. "Hottie, you certainly do not parse on words, do you detective?" She said with a snort before putting down her cup to pull her fingers through her hair and adjust her seat. Hooded eyes found themselves drifting over to Mia more and more. Curiosity or Madness... that was the real question. What the devil was she thinking?

"I'd hardly call myself a detective...but hey if you like roleplay.~" She'd cheekily just let that sentance trail off with a mild chickle, leaning a little closer to the other woman, especially as she seemed to emphasize that men weren't of much interest to her. The bulky heroine was more intrigued by the second, not because that was all that surprising, but more so because the admittance showed that the other woman might definitely be interested in her in turn, sticking out the tip of her tongue playfully between her tusks as she leaned closer still.
As she was offered the drink, she'd reach for one of the small sake cups...the fact japanese people drank from essentially flat-bowls still weirded her out in an odd way, but hey she'd enjoy some good booze all the same. She held the 'cup', but as she went for the bottle she was stopped, quirking a brow at the other woman, before being given a...surprisingly pleasant sensation of having it served up for her. She'd take as much as her 'cup' could before running over, and tip her head back until it was all gone in a single sip. "Aaaah...nothin' better than some good booze.~"
Placing the cup back on the floating serving tray, the blonde would meat the shimmering eyes of the silver haired little lass, her smirk picking up again as she was being teased for using such a blunt little compliment. She decided to be even more forward, leaning in slowly. She curled a finger under the other woman's chin, tipping it upwards as she leaned down towards her, so close that her warm breaths could be felt subtly by the other with each word she spoke. "Oh...if you like, I could give up on the words entirely...if they bother you I mean~"

Sonya felt a finger wrap beneath her chin, a powerful thumb pressed against her chin. The physical contact sent Sonya into a tailspin. She had to close her eyes for a few moments to stop herself from reacting to visibly. Her fingers clenched beneath the water while the world took a bit of a tottering spin. Anything to keep her quirk from reacting to the sudden touch-that eerie white light nothing but a cold halo around her body at the moment and not the vicious and quite lethal glow that burned bright at times.
She felt her head tilt up, her eyes met with Mia's and her lips parted. A few liquor warmed breaths stung against her lips. Right now, right this moment, she could burst with all her life and leave the number one hero with horrific wounds. She could. But did she really have to? The other villains of Japan resented Red Horn, they plotted against her and the newly growing hero society. Sonya, on the other hand, saw this hero society as an opportunity for profit. It was a brave new world, and she was going to take advantage of it in any way she could.
Another breath against her lips, words, thought blasted through her brain. Sonya Chernova narrowed her glowing eyes at Mia. "Your surrender sounds more like an attack," She said cooly. The water traced down her lower back as she was pulled closer, silver hair falling about herself in a mess. Sonya licked her lips, the steam hanging around her making everything something of a blur. Sometimes everything was visible, others, she was blinded. Her heart pounding, she pulled herself away and rose to her feet completely, bear for the world for a few brief moments. She glanced back over her shoulder at Mia.
Her eyes glowed bright, her naked form covered by mist, the ambient pink light made it hard to see her face. She stood there for a while, looking down at the number one hero, a arm wrapped over her chest. She chewed her lip before reaching out with her free hand, extending a dainty set of fingers to Mia; "I've reserved a room to rest in... come with me?" She said in as soft a voice as she could manage. The untouchable Ishtar, the pale lady of the villain realm, and Red Horn, the crimson demon of the heroes. The maddening artistry of it all inflamed every aesthetic sense in Sonya's mind.
She needed this, right now, more than anything. She had to sate that hunger again, even if it meant sating it on this hero. She'd worry about the repercussions later.
