The moment Freya burst through the doors of the office and put the food on the table. Everyone began swiping their various orders, many new faces with some familiar ones dotting the ever expanding roster of people who love their food. The sounds of various conversations as everyone began to eat voraciously, However Freya was no different as after she gave the good strawberry lemonade to the one named Yellow Jacket, she began to work on her massive order of chicken nuggets. “Time to dig in, heaven or hell, lets fucking rock it. I'm gonna finish these nuggets and break my record or regret this hours later…”she exclaimed as she started to eat her nuggets.
The place graciously gave her a lot of sauce which will make this battle against the horde of nuggets more interesting. She began to dig in and go each one was good and she made sure that she will finish her order because something big is going to happen later and she is going to need all the energy she can get from this massive bundle of protein and carbs. The food tasted amazing and she kept all of em hot so it was extra special, oh the perks of a fire quirk.
However any outsider would look on in fear as this woman was eating an unhealthy amount of nuggets like it was nothing. Men felt their pride shatter and women felt their stomachs expanding by the sight of it. Their looks made this meal really good as this was the world they will never be acquainted with. But some members of her unit showed up and started chanting GO GO GO as she ate more and more nuggets. In time the entire office was joining in on the fun, but it was a nice change of pace and ups the morale quite a bit. It was both annoying and riveting. A part of her wonders if this is normal but then she threw that out the window as she ate more chicken nuggets. This was the ultimate definition of having a good time.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She wasn't really sure what to think about all this and decided that it was simply fun and she let it be, waiting for everyone to show up and enjoy their evening of nothing, learning and getting to know each other was much more fun than all the stuffy offices and paper work and so on. She first had a conversation with the first pro-hero that showed up, which was to no surprise Mia. She had been very sure that the number one hero was around here anyway. So when she mouthed the word Crowley, she shook her head lightly, she wished the office would calm down about it and forget the threat like Mia did with words, "Hm, he is in the list of most wanted, I don't know exactly what number, but as I arrested his I think woman, girlfriend or so, he send me a death threat." Her face changed to a wry smile. She got up to help with the coffee but couldn't fix the machine so well and it seemed unnecessary when Hachi pointed out the coffee pot and well she had no idea who this hero was, but he seemed to be able to heat up the coffee himself, well, that was a good thing. Useful~!
She did turn her attention to Hachi, hoping that the one on one conversations could continue because she suddenly felt overwhelmed and stupid for being here and she gave another wry smile to her colleague and nodded, "Yes, I hope it's as simple as that." The idea of protecting the healer, but it still felt so weird because shouldn't she at least have information about the strategy and so on. They were holding her aside as if she was too stupid or maybe, nah it was probably because they expected her to freak out at any minute now. She was glad to hear the supportive words of Hachi and smiled a little more honest to her. Yes, maybe they underestimated her but maybe Nimue overestimated herself, she mouthed a thank you to her fellow teacher, because it did really help. She fiddled with her own straw and cup of the mango smoothie that Freya bought for her, she had already spoken with Hellhounda bout this issue in the afternoon and she had felt less bad about the situation but with everyone here, it felt very strange. She looked at the others and turned to look at who Hachi was speaking to, Vega, she had seen the name, but did not mingle into the conversation and turned to look at the others again, it was like her amber eyes simply followed the line of people, wondering what she should say.
When she listened to Wagyu, she tried to suppress her shiver, but the word and the idea of an attack of Crowley did scare her a little, hence why she had tried to warn her father and she nodded a little, yea, "I understand that but even as a healer, it would be nice to know the plans." It was not that simple and yet she felt she made it far more difficult than it was. Maybe she should speak to some people more that seemed to be setting up the meetings and so on, maybe she could learn something extra about it tonight. She took a sip of her smoothie while considering a little more what she could or should do to fix this standstill issue. It now felt like she was cowering away from Crowley and maybe it was what she wanted to do anyway. She noticed that someone turned to her in the corner of her eye and looked up from her thoughts to Wagyu who had made a good point and she looked with a surprised look on her face at the card. It took a few seconds before the young doctor would answer because she simply had not expected it, "Oh, yes!" She quickly went to find a pen and sat down again and looked at the card and snickered a little at the message on it, hmm she had to think of what to write. She looked at the name and wrote on the other side of the card in her precise handwriting, thinking about what would be appropriate and still in her mindset. Dear Rocky, Happy Birthday! Remember even if you fall seven times, to always stand up that eight time** Never give up! Yours truly, Witch Doctor
She looked up at Wagyu with an uncertain look on her face, "Something like this?" Before she started writing she had asked the other hero what age Rocky would be. She hoped that she wrote the Japanese proverb well that's why she added the little note, she knew Wagyu worked with an orphanage, so she wanted to give that positive hero vibe. Every dream could come true, as long as you worked for it, but she had felt that those words were too harsh. That's why she used it like this and she gave a shy smile as she handed it back.

As she heard Wagyu across the room comment on her eating habits as she peeled the greens of her burgers, she’d shoot him a tired glare. Not actually annoyed or frustrated but come on man she wasn’t commenting on your eating habits. Or. Well. She hadn’t when he originally said that. “You literally can. They call it the atkin’s diet. Or has that not reached America?” She smirked a little cheekily, about to dig into her first burger…before deciding to add 2 meat paddies from a separate burger, managing to just barely get her huge ass maw around it, some flakes of meat caught around her tusk even as she chewed, only ripped off and tossed back into her gullet a few moments later when she finally swallowed.
When she finally did notice what Wagyu was eating though… “Like, as a serious question, how do you stay so big if that’s all you’re eating. Don’t you gotta eat protein to maintain muscle?” From her tone, this genuinely wasn’t a snide ‘back atcha’ or the like, watching him eat what he was, she was genuinely curious how that kinda diet worked for a guy like him.
Of course, she couldn’t give Wagyu her full attention, she had been asking the gruff lookin’ fellow what he did on the case here. He investigated for them? “Oh. Are you just an officer then or a full pro?” Again, not meant to be snide, a genuinely curious tone behind her words. She was so sued to heroes being the ones who just acted forwardly and got the action done against other quirkers. What did this guy work like if he was a pro that just…handled the info? Of course, again, not meaning to come off demeaning even in her head, it was just a curious case for someone like her to take in.

Greeting at King Tarus with a wave and a toss of the rose, she shifts her focus back at Tobias. She can only let out what appears to be the smile of the devil. Truly he was a rookie in the art of disguise and costumes. It wasn't his fault, of course. It was the fault of someone who had no reason to be involved in this field of expertise, until now. To be forced out of one's comfort zone and embrace the hidden. To become someone else, someone that can be considered to be your darker self. She couldn't help herself but let out that smile.
"Oh, I'm great with those....The main thing is, of course, your quirk." She slightly circles around him, whjile also munching on some fries. Using one fry as a sort of conducting wand, she continues. "There's some great heat resistant paint out there that can help you out on semi permability. Now, while those aren' per say 'good for the skin,' Your skin is...well. It's not exactly what they were thinking of when doing their tests for the paint. Your hair might need some spurcing up as well. But looks aren't everything. What you need...is to shift your mood as well." She waves a fry. "It's all about acting to your strengths. You're a big guy, so be a big guy. You might do good as a intense bodyguard or a killer, or something. Use that to make the disguise work."

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | Everyone was packing in to the room and grabbing their food. Toma hadn't ordered anything, and he wasn't hungry anyway, so he didn't try to scalp anyone's food. The one of the other heroes spoke to him. It was the bee lady he had seen on TV a few times.
She called him out that she knew who he was. He was both concerned and a little please, but then she explained that she knew Serperior. That made sense. The only other Hero that really knew him was ole snake boy.
"Shhhhh." He put his finger to his lips and feigned silencing her. "It's not that great of a secret if everyone knows." He gave his signature pirates smile and took a sip of his coffee. It warmed his insides as it trickled down his throat. "But yeah that's me. Your….."
He paused because he couldn't remember her name. He knew a lot of the heroes, and he even knew her, so it wasn't like he shouldn't know her name. He knew he had known it in the past. It was one of those situations where everything slipped your mind.
"Yellow Jacket!" He proclaimed as he forced it off the tip of his tongue. "You were at the Tokyo 5 incident."

The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been.
Ah, this must be why the two of them were acquainted: theatrics. Hachi's small smile was still quite hard to see but her little laugh, like a number of small buzzes, was much easier to catch. "A secret? Are you undercover from the police to avoid excess paperwork, perhaps?" Her tone was gentle, teasing rather than mocking. She had spent too much time with Serperior--and as of late more time with Mia--to not roll with this sort of thing. Whether or not he legitimately needed a moment to remember her name, she did appreciate to some extent that he hadn't recognized her instantly. She stood out even in a room full of Japan's top ranked pro-heroes.
Though what he linked to her name was less pleasing.
"That would be me, yes. And...I suppose, yes, that was me as well." She exhaled slowly. Tokyo 5. Not one of her finest moments, if one could even make anything "fine" from a hostage situation-turned-triple homicide. She could almost smell the ozone in the air again, but brushed it off. Phantom recollections to save for her time off-the-clock, or, preferably, never. She ran a claw around the lip of her juice bottle. "Though if you are going to connect me to one of my more daring deeds, it's only fair you share your own in turn. What brought you into heroism, Vega? It cannot be for the catering."
"...as impressive as she is in action." Hachi trailed off with a small hum of amusement, her eyes landing on Hell Hound as she decimated several villages worth of chicken nuggets. Good Lord. "Good Lord...while I can't look down on anyone whose Quirk has an affect on their metabolism, being one myself, I can be envious toward those who can eat more than just...well, sugars, essentially." She unfurled her tongue long enough to get another sip of juice. "Even if it is less expensive."
"You still need to give me that receipt, Hell Hound."

LIKE A SAILOR, I FALL PREY TO FOOD'S SIREN CALL. TOBIAS LET THE CONVERSATION SORT-OF JUST DRIFT around him, content to just listen without engaging. He was one-part star-struck and one-part completely out of his element. But the focus sort-of swung back towards him as Red Horn decided to question him.
The burly redhead looked at her as he sipped his ice tea, his voice swinging lower.
“Uh… well… I am a professional hero…” he spoke haltingly, setting his cup down. He didn’t speak with the gusto of someone accustomed to the limelight, but with the measured tone of one who had to watch his words rather routinely. Also someone who’d been sufficiently embarrassed by the line of questioning.
“Albeit… more of a support hero, but uh… a hero nonetheless,” he concluded.
He looked sheepish as Soheiwa-san circled him, beginning to unwrap his chicken sandwich. She certainly knew what she was talking about… Tobias was just going to take off his glasses and put on a ball cap and call it good. But Soheiwa… was fabricating an entirely new identity. A killer. A bodyguard.
“But, uh, couldn’t you argue that a killer… sometimes seems just like everyone else, right?”
He cracked a winsome smile. It wasn’t really a question. Tobias had worked enough homicides to know. The man took a timid bite of chicken sandwich, doing his best to maintain a polite smile. Truth be told, though, he was beginning to feel uncomfortable—like perhaps he should retreat to his quiet room, where no one would question him about his right to be there?

Wagyu barely batted an eye at Hellhound wolfing down her meal. Many of the children at the orphanage had similar calorie-burning Quirks, and he was more than used to seeing people eat their weight in one meal. Her choice in food wasn’t exactly something he approved of, but he’d already told her how silly it was in the chatroom.
Which was something he wished he’d thought about Red Horn as well. “I’m not American, thanks.” He sniped back, his voice low and gruff as ever but with a hint of annoyance. “And the Atkins diet still involves some greenery.”
She paused to chew her horrible burger creation, before seeming to be confused by his own diet. “If I knew, I’d tell you.” Wagyu muttered, taking another bite of his salad. “My digestive system is probably different to yours. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone without a mutation like my own.” He hadn’t bothered to research much about bull biology, so how they managed to maintain their muscle mass was as much a mystery to him as how he did himself.
His attention quickly shifted back to Nimue. He really didn’t know too much about Crowley, but judging by her reaction it seemed he wasn’t off the mark. He hadn’t meant to make her shiver or anything like that, though. “Sorry, didn’t intend to scare you. But, it’s something we should keep in mind, even here. Much as I’d like to let my guard down at a time like this…” Despite his words, he didn’t want to drag out such an upsetting topic any longer, so he let the rest of the sentence die in his throat.
The tone of their conversation thankfully changed to a more happy topic when he brought the birthday card out. Nimue took a few moments to think of what to write, then wrote out the message inside. Wagyu took it back, and looked it over.
“Remember even if you fall seven times, to always stand up that eight time**”
Wagyu thought of Rocky, of his constant falls and scrapes and the grin on the boy’s face every time he’d pick himself up, and smiled to himself. “Yes, that’s perfect for him. Thank you.” He nodded at the end of his sentence, careful to not knock someone nearby with his horns.

The Nuggets are numerous and there are many. But Freya was stronger and pushed on as she devoured each and every nugget like her life depended on it. Her quirk was not related to this display of gluttony but it was a show of pride. She had a running deal with her squad that if she could eat double the amount of nuggets she had from her previous record, they would pay her out double each time. She is about to beat that record and various members in the team could feel a chill down their spine as Freya was quickly downing each nugget like it was nothing.
She noticed a few of the heroes looking on as she continued her voracious massacre of chicken nuggets. One could say this was inappropriate behavior for a hero before an operation. Another could say shut up and let's see a Villain become the lord of the nuggets before a vital mission.
Luckily she knows how to pace herself as the strawberry lemonade helped washed down the mush of nuggets. The various sauces she brought along also helped as they came in many flavors. The waves and waves of changing flavors only added to her hunger as she ate more and more. Her stomach wasn’t even at half way full yet as she was almost done eating the nuggets. The crunch and mouth feel of each nugget started to lose meaning as they were only numbers to a score. 1 nugget became 2 and then 2 became 4 and 4 to 8 and then it was by the time the bucket was nearly empty then she realize...she wasn't even full yet.
As the last of the nuggets were popped into her mouth, she could feel the wave of satisfaction and she pulled out a toothpick to get out residual bits of nugget in her teeth. With the mass of nuggets she ate, one could say they could feel bloated from that coup of nuggets. Nope, she was at most 25% filled and a part of her wishes she would have bought some pies or desserts from the stores she passed by. But her arms were full at the time but on impulse she was gonna get that craving out now.
“So...who’s up for dessert? Im feeling something chocolatey… or a pie..is there a store nearby that has a bunch of ice cream?”, Freya asked with gusto as thought about the various flavors she was craving. She could eat one of those social media monstrosities of sugar and sweet right about now but this ain't the states so bucket of ice cream would do.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She might be considered fragile after the thing Crowley said and her sudden disappearance of the chat but she did not want to be seen as weak. To be honest she did not even think that had crossed Wagyu's mind but she liked talking to him and in a way it calmed her down, she felt bad he seemed to have to consider what to say. "I just never expected myself to be in this situation, I better get used to it though." But yes, she could not let her guard down, that's why she had gone to her father, that's why she signed up to be here. Crowley would probably be here too unless he was like her, afraid for the hunt and they were both hidign, she did not want to think about it, it were too many possibilities. And although she felt guilty for forcing Wagyu to think about his words it was a nice change of pace when he told her about the birthday card and she was really flattered. She forgot that being a pro-hero could come with the admiration and she really hoped Rocky would have a great day and she handed the card back to Wagyu when she was done writing and smiled at him, she actually wanted to ask something about the orphanage, that's what he did right?
She got distracted by Freya though, downing one nugget after the other. It was definitely not the most beautiful sight but what did Nimue care about that, in a sense, it looked really hilarious and she chuckled very shortly before moving her hand in front of her mouth and turning her attention back to the person next to her. "You are welcome, I am glad it fits and also thank you, just ehm, how to say it well." She had to think about it, it wasn't often anymore that her Japanese was failing her but sometimes it was just a thing she had not used before, "I am glad to hear that I can inspire people." She didn't want to use fan, the word did not seem well for her to say, but yes, she needed to remember that she was doing this job to help people and inspiring them, so she was still doing what she should. She could do this, forget what could happen, it could have been worse if she had let Meiko go.
Her attention drifted shortly back to Freya even if she tried to ask Wagyu again but the munching down of the woman was kind of fascinating to look at, as well as her people in the doorway, they did not seem to be happy that Freya kept going on and when she finished and asked for desert, Nimue looked at Wagyu and smiled, she tried her very best to not giggle but that did not work, "We have some strange inspiring people, don't you think?" Maybe not the right word, not everyone should chuck down so many nuggets in barely any time but she couldn't help but find it funny, maybe it was the hour.

MIa conceded on Wagyu just needing another kind of diet with an idle shrug. "Hey, whatever works for ya man. Though...half sure that atkins thing is just 'no carbs.'. Then again I never looked into it so you're probably right." She gave another idle shrug, but with her stomache slowly filling from these monsterous burgers she was creating she was in a happy mood and not about to let it falter just cause the heroes at this table had different diets. She at what she ate, they ate what they ate, and sure she could have a playful jab here or there but it didn't feel fair to judge people on what they preferred to eat.
Unless they ate like. Human flesh. Then she'd judge all day long. And probably put them in jail.
Snapping out of that thought she returned to the self admitted support hero, and as his vocie seemed a little low on the topic, Mia would lightly reach across, patting his shoulder and giving a firm squeeze of reassurance, though she'd quickly ease off if he didn't seemt he type to like to be touched like that. "A hero nonetheless is damn right. Look I'll awlays love the work I do, the limelight and all that, but the work you dos damn important. Sorry if I seemed like I was...questioning you being a hero, but I'm just gettin' a handle on things. If you're titles a pro hero, and you're playing your part undercover? That's damn fine work to be doing. I ain't about to try and belittle that shit just cause I 'do the punching good.'" She smirked a little with her self belittling words, because she could admit the truth. That was basically her job, and the work of an information gatherer like him could sometimes be way more important, and far more difficult.
(Directed at everyone)
As everyone was getting on with their meals, and Hell Hound tried to ask about desert, Mia looked to her meals, not feeling like putting sweet back on top of this savoury greasy meal. "Ya know I think I'm good but I know there's a good ice cream place down the road. Should probably send anyone but you though eh HELL hound?~" She smirked, emphasizing the firey aspect of her name. "But...before we all finish up and let our food settle..."
She grabbed a soda, stood up from her seat, and lifted up her coke high.
"A toast to the long days work we've put in...and the shit we'll be facing tommorrow. We got a real, solid chance to lock up a good chunk of these idiots, and through the work of the heroes, our informants, the police themselves...We're gonna make sure we really do some good. So, to everyone here, and everyone working to make sure this shit pulls together, a toast."
She'd look around, and lightly chuckle. "Don't worry, I ain't expectin' ya all to get up with those warm, full bellies. Just..." She lifted her soda up a little more. "Cheers!"
Mia pulled back her soda, taking off the plastic cover and chugging a good few mouthfuls, letting out a satisfied, crispy breath before returning to her seat. Whether anyone else joined in or not, she felt with the hard work they'd been putting in, that was more than deserved.

She seemed a bit amused at Toby's statement. "True, True." She folds her arms a bit still surveying his position. He's a bit nervous to be here, he keeps side glancing, that smile is small and shaky...hmmmm. If they already gave him a role, would he still be able to keep it going? If he were to speak, would he mess up? That can't be good, one has to keep up appearances when around people of the shady variety. No no no no, there's no doubt that he will struggle when out there. She sighs as she unfolds her arms.
"Alright, I can see that you're a bit uncomfortable, it's written all over your face," she says to him bluntly. "I just feel like you might attract the wrong kind of people, and we can't let that happen. How about this, I can help you with your role and costume and give you some pointers before you head out. Or maybe I can accompany you and make sure nothing really bad happens. It's up to you, of course. I won't exactly force you into doing something youre uncomfortable....then again, you are heading into uncharted territory at the auction, so that already is out of anyone's usual comfort zone."
She turns her head towards to the loud exclamation. Seems Mia wants to do a rousing speech of sorts. A toast to honor everyone here and to bring up spirits and- holy shit did Freya eat all those nuggets. Wow. That's impressive. An-anyway, focus back on the toast or something...Seriously, all those nuggets, gone. Evaporated like dust in the wind.
Tomorrow, huh. That soon. Yeah, makes sense. That's when the big stuff is happening. All those who were told to go out and get the merch themselves will have to steel themselves towards this job. No room for mistakes. She raises a soda in response to Mia's, with a loud "Cheer!" to accompany it. She then places it on the table cause it's not her personal favorite flavor. No offense, of course. It's just not her taste.
"So, how about it, Murakami?"

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | Hachi asked him why he got into heroism, before getting distracted by others mowing down their food. Toma did not respond at first, instead taking a sip of his coffee and mulling over what to say. He couldn't tell her everything, it wasn't really part conversation. So he made up a story that was mostly the truth, though it would probably not paint him in the same light as the real story.
"I have a super power." He stated as he folded a paper towel from the stack on the table and set his coffee down on it. "So I thought I should help people. What other use could I really find for it anyhow. So I did some vigilante work for a while, small stuff you wouldn't really hear about and a few bigger things the police took the credit for."
"I don't really mind." He twisted the cup on the paper towel and watched as the paper slip spun under his hand. "Never cared for recognition anyway. To be honest the only reason I went legal was to keep my belly full. I was spending so much time out at night that I lost my job." Another half truth. "That's when a friend introduced me to our mutual snake buddy."
"There is more I guess." He picked his cup back up and took another sip. "But it's a long story I guess. What about you? What got you buzzing onto the scene?" He smirked and hoped his pun would come across as humor and not as him being rude.

The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been.
She listened carefully to Vega's story-slash-explanation as to why he'd become a hero, and found herself very understanding of him...but less understanding of the way he had become so. Mikhail was very protective of the hero role and was much harsher on those who had continued to act as vigilantes to this day, especially compared to herself. She wasn't lenient but she could understand them and didn't go out of her way to arrest those she knew to be vigilantes when she saw them on the street. Why would he have accepted Vega, then?
Perhaps Vega was just charismatic enough to wow him.
...or Mikhail had seen something in him he wanted to encourage, wanted to see become a hero instead of...
Hachi smiled around her "straw". He was turning her little query back onto her. Very well. But first, there was a small toast going on. Withdrawing her tongue from the bottle she raised it upwards ever so slightly. "Kanpai. May we return safely from wherever we go."
Her large, alien eyes returned to Toma to answer him. "Would you believe it's quite the same as your own? When I was younger, a vigilante scouted me out for my Quirk and I followed after her. We worked together until her...passing, shortly afterwards the hero program came into being. I thought it was the only way to go with my life choices; and I believed the future heroes at UA could use somebody with the experiences I had."
"...it didn't hurt that my other option was 'jail'," she was joking--Hachi had never felt pressured into joining UA or becoming a hero, but it had been a looming threat had she refused to do so, "So I made a somewhat quick call. But I can't say I regret it, even with having to deal with the political scene surrounding what was once a very simple and emotion-driven experience for me."
"If you feel like you need another vigilante-turned-pro to talk to about similar things, I'm always available to talk. A lot of us as in a similar situation. Though there is a growing number of those who just choose become a pro hero without that history. I know Mi--Red Horn is another one like that." She chuckled softly at her slight slip-up. Oh dear, the informality of that woman and her own partner were rubbing off on her. "So you may be able to speak with her as well if you'd prefer. Though if my suspicions are correct, you might have already met her while you were preforming you...less-than-legal heroic duties, let's call them. Just a suspicion."

LIKE A SAILOR, I FALL PREY TO FOOD'S SIREN CALL. TOBIAS MUNCH TIMIDLY UPON HIS MEAL, smiling privately at the overheard conversation. Nimue seemed to be of the same mindset-- a fish out of water. He placidly picked at his fries, until he was interrupted by a hand on his shoulder. Tobias nearly choked on a fry when he noticed it was Red Horn patting his shoulder. His ears tinged pink slightly. He had been embarrassed when Redhorn had addressed him, and now he was embarrassed over having been embarrassed. It was a fine self-fulfilling prophecy.
"It's quite alright," Tobias murmured into his burger, "Thank you, Miss."
Toby turned his attention from Mia, who seemed to be focusing her attention elsewhere.
And Soheiwa was still on him about the undercover role, calling attention to the fact that he looked uncomfortable. The color left his ears and his cheeks, the muscular man dipping his head so that his bangs fell over his eyes. He was half-inclined to state that he wouldn't be so nervous if he weren't in the company of some of the absolute rockstars of the pro-hero scene... but such a confession would elicit only more attention from the group, which was the last thing he wanted.
"I would appreciate the assistance," he said, lifting his gaze and cracking a smile, "So long as it doesn't detract from your prior responsibilities."
It was about then that Mia made a toast, saving the poor bastard from struggling his way through an excuse. He raised his paper cup for the toast, but remained quiet. There was talk of dessert, perhaps ice cream, which others seemed to surge at the opportunity for. He gaped in an almost fish-like fashion, his mouth searching for the words they needed.
>> "So how about it, Murakami?"
The man cleared his throat.
"Sounds wonderful, Soheiwa-san."
The redhead put a more concerted effort into finishing his food. The drink, he could take back with him, but he couldn't handle classified documents with greasy fingers. The food needed to be polished-off now. He would also double his efforts on coming-up with an excuse to excuse himself with.
