As a general statement, the foreigner, Ndeye Ndao, did not tend to rest. When she wasn't using her quirk or her pugilistic skills on the job, she could usually be found training her body in some way. When she wasn't training her body, she'd be arranging new contracts to put her skills to use or replaying previous matches in her head to prepare for her next challenge. However, besides the few hours she tended to sleep, Ndeye found solace in one other practice: an after-work drink at whatever tavern was cheap enough not to put a dent in her earnings and not hot enough to have a police patrol presence... basically, the kind of place that had been abandoned to lowlifes, where the only detracting factor was that you had to be tough enough to protect yourself from the rest of the patrons.
One such place: a dance club called "Denominator", was known to be a hive of villainy. The loud, bass-thrumming music and strobing lights hid a dance floor where an unsuspecting victim could find himself stabbed in broad daylight. The bar held "business associates" trading cash and favors for dirty deeds in broad daylight. Bodies- drunken, knocked out, or in a few cases, stone-cold dead- were routinely dragged outside and deposited into the back alleys.
Ndeye feared none of this, for better or worse, and seemed to be immune to the head-pounding music reverberating inside the main room. She sat at the bar, drinking beer after beer. The vein in her forehead, for this brief time, wouldn't throb; her head, processing so much information and rage at all times, was uncharacteristically clear. For this short period, just an hour or so, she would abandon her quest for strength and her dogged struggle to become the top of her family hierarchy, just to enjoy a buzz and let her mind go blank.
Because she didn't suit the average Japanese male's sensibilities, they wouldn't approach. If anyone did come near her, it was likely someone with whom she'd arranged a meeting. In this case, one of her informants had tipped her off to an opportunity... though, calling it an opportunity may be misleading. The people he'd set her up with were, supposedly, less like business associates, or really, even criminals. Most appropriately, they could be referred to as Villains. On one hand, Ndeye knew that anyone in crime for reasons other than to stack money could be unwise to associate with; she needed work to pay her bills while she lived in Japan. On the other hand, even more important to her than money was the chance to test her skills against Japan's strongest... even a group that is only self-interested, acting as agents of chaos, could be useful in that regard.
All of these were just rumors from one informant, of course. Ndeye figured there would be more to the story- and she'd get it from the horse's mouth. Supposedly, the villain association, Eternity, tended to reach out to villains over the web. Ndeye hadn't made a point of advertising herself that way- she wasn't especially tech savvy- but with their outreach being so universal, arranging a meeting was easy enough. The only question left to learn was whether they needed her service and whether working for them was really as simple as shaking hands. She'd come prepared for the possibility that an initiation might be required... but she couldn't imagine anything they could ask her to do that would shake her, given her lack of ethical boundaries or imposed physical limitations. Still, Japan had a way of surprising her. As she knocked back another giant mug of beer, her smoldering eyes stared straight forward at the bottles on the wall, and she allowed her mind to be clear for just a brief few minutes, while waiting for the Eternity contact to show.

Well well well seemed like one of Kyoko's "eyes" had spotted a potential recruit. By eyes she really meant one of the residents of her apartment complex, they are ex slaves she released that stayed loyal to her. all she asked from them was to be her informant, any kind of information she might find useful, certain favors, etc they all did for her and it seemed like that proved useful for once.
Someone found a potential recruit for eternity, she was at denominator that night. Having fun and playing card games with other allies in the V.I.P area of the club. However of course, kyoko was not playing fair at all, she was using her quirk to cheat. She would write down on a note of all the cards being played and what cards people had. Of course, not many people really knew of her quirk, only those really close to her and even then that's a small portion. Like Niso, Luzia, Thunder. Well regardless she was getting off topic with her own internal monologue She was waiting for the potential recruit to show up while playing cards. She had won the game relatively easily when she had spotted a girl from the other side of the club. She gestured one of her lackeys to come over to her, the woman rushed over as kyoko whispered in her ear. "Bring her to me, yes her." she said pointing to her potential new friend.
Soon after kyoko shooed all the others in the V.I.P area away as they immediately followed her commands without hesitation. She certainly took to this new status easily. As the lackey lead Ndeye over to her, she looked at the girl with a warm expression on her face. Oh lord she was giant, what could she want from little old kyoko? Well regardless Kyoko would open up with her usual line. "Well well well, you seek the oracle huh?" she said leaning in towards the girl and resting her head on her hand, using her arm to support it. "Ndeye Right? I've heard some whispers about you. What could I possibly have that someone as strong as you came looking for little old me?" she asked curiously. "Ah, where are my manners? Do you want something to drink or eat?" she asked politely, you can learn a lot from someone by what they eat or drink and honestly kyoko was just a wee bit peckish and this was the perfect timing.

Ordinarily, Ndeye might be miffed at being asked to move elsewhere in order to meet a contact, but she knew that half the game with these types that called themselves "villains" was the power play. If the maneuvering and controlling was how the potential employer got their kicks, Ndeye was obligated to do their bidding, so long as they didn't withhold what she wanted. In her view, her desires ought to be easily sated: all she wanted, after all, was a chance to go all out on the strongest fighters she could find. Ironically, the villains here in Japan tended to be the ones using that cerebral form of power, with their wits and their charms. That kept them out of jail. The heroes and vigilantes were the ones who could exercise the full force of their strength without being judged for it.
Ndeye recognized that the beer was making her philosophize more than she herself cared for. She shook her head clear of thoughts and approached the area where Kyoko was playing cards. Her close-tailored, jet-black suit was the only part of her that looked like it fit here.
To say that Ndeye had expected to meet a villain that looked like her would be an exaggeration; she would be surprised if she ever met a Japanese citizen who looked just like her, no matter how many new contacts she met. Still, she was very surprised to see that the Eternity representative was such a skinny, fashionable girl. Her thoughts went back to Ace and her poison. It didn't matter how small the girl... quirks were an equalizer. Even among her own family, it didn't matter that she was one of the biggest and burliest... her quirk hadn't been the strongest and she'd lost the edge.
But what was this girl's quirk? Eternity was not exactly a secret among the villain community, but still, no one had been forthcoming with information on Kyoko's quirk.
Ndeye wasn't one for banter nor veiled words. She got straight to the point. "Beer, then. Beer," she answered simply. As a perspective employer, it could make much more sense to humbly decline the offer, but humility was not one of Ndeye's great strengths. "I'm here for an opportunity," she spoke, pulling up a nearby gambler's stool and moving close to the table, setting her massive biceps onto the table top, thankfully missing the cards in play. "What I'm calling opportunities, others would call obstacles. Let me remove them for you. Surely in your line of work you encounter many obstacles?" she questioned, holding Kyoko's gaze as closely as the other girl would allow it to be held.

Kyoko took a sip of her Epsi pepsi cola that was poured in a pretty glass to make it look like it was liquor. She watched Ndeye's every move closely for any signs of information that would be interesting to her. It's her usual tactic when trying to gain information out of people, it was quite a useful skill since the mind is good at lying, a person's body however? Not so much. Ndeye's body was reeking of self confidence, she liked it, she wasn't afraid of the girl but she was still being respectful to the young girl. Something she did not usually experience due to her appearance and her age. She immediately appreciated that since she had not gotten used to getting it right off the bat. Especially after coming off that meeting with the vagabonds. What the hell was their angle? They wanted to work with her but not want to crush her? Surely she was in their way...did they really want to work with her or back stab her? Well regardless Kyoko was in need of new muscle and Ndeye was the perfect word for it.
She looked over to the bar tender "Well you heard the lady, bring her a beer and keep them coming. Put it on my tab as my treat." she said snapping her fingers over to the bar tender who was obviously nervous at the presence of two villains. He was used to these kind's of guests in the past but these two were especially high profile, well at least Oracle was well known amongst the villains but if this girl got to talk to her she must be extremely important as well. Kyoko looked back over to Ndeye as soon as she was done taking her sip "You're pretty confident, I can appreciate that. Yes there are many obstacles in my path that pop up from time to time but yet im still here." she said putting the drink down and letting Ndeye react to that statement. It was true Kyoko WAS interested in Ndeye, after all that's why she allowed the young woman to find her. It was nice though, kyoko really genuinely cared for the people in eternity, they felt like a family that was much better than her own god given one which is why she was being much more cautious with Ndeye than normal."So that's why you seek out the oracle huh?"
She crossed her legs once more, "So tell me what can you offer me that others cannot? Im excited to hear your answer, You seem like the type to not mince words Ndeye Ndao~" she said with a small smirk appearing on her face as she waited eagerly to hear the woman's answer. Was she the simple type? Was she the type to play word games? Kyoko had no idea, and that uncertainty is where she thrived. It was like a puzzle and puzzles were her version of QED. There was no puzzle in this world that she would allow to stop her from getting what she wanted.

Ndeye had to concede, Kyoko had a good point. If she was the type of person who needed bodyguarding, she would either already have one or wouldn't be doing the sort of work that mandated a person hire one. Whatever Kyoko's quirk was, Ndeye realized it must give her some degree of self-sufficiency in combat. Still, the dark woman was unperturbed. "Of course. It is not to cast doubt upon your abilities. I do not know them. What I do know: if you have ambition, you always want to go higher. How much higher can you go? You will need someone watching your back when you go there, and to keep the way clear. I can do that," she spoke in practiced but heavily accented Japanese, which sounded as though it might switch back to her native language at any time.
The big girl might have smiled, if such came naturally to her. "That is exactly it. I do not mince words," she agreed. "What I offer, besides strength," she paused, noting that her arms on the table made that part obvious, "is my drive. I do not surrender, I do anything else. When I sought to become stronger, I stowed away here as a child, and I made myself from nothing. My llamb is strong, stronger than any wrestler you will meet. My goal is to become the strongest, and the stronger I get, the more happy you will be that we are on the same side," she explained, remaining very still, like some great statue or a perched beast.
"These 'villains' in Japan- whatever else I think of them, they have ambition. Nearly all of them have it and you, I think, have a lot. However, this also means they will... how do you say it... battle? Clash? They will fight each other, not just the police and heroes. It is best that I be on your side. I do not hesitate and I don't ask questions. If you say defend, I defend, and if you say attack, I will defeat them so fully that they never bother you again," she explained, seeming to have psyched herself up, as she clenched and unclenched the massive fingers of her right hand. As she did, glittering black and orange scales began to pop up upon her bicep; she stopped soon enough, so as not to draw attention.
Once her beer came, she began downing it with unladylike quickness, watching Kyoko out of the corner of one eye as she tipped the drink back. "Allow me to ask you the same question: why should I join Eternity, instead of the mobsters that are spread all over Japan?" Of course, Ndeye already had her own reasons for joining: the group's reputation for high profile villainous acts preceded them, making them an ideal gang to hang around with if she wanted to run into fights. However, she also was curious as to what Kyoko would respond... or if, perhaps, Kyoko had already divined her reason for choosing Eternity.

Kyoko was infatuated with the potential that Ndeye had. Everything from her stature screamed of power to Kyoko, all she had to do was win her over. She seemed like the type that could be bought. everything she said was EXACTLY what Kyoko wanted. However she held some unease in her thoughts, what if it was TOO perfect? She wondered if Ndeye was a spy for the police...however she didnt really find much about the woman's past and what she did find wasn't all that interesting. Curiosity was certainly killing Kyoko but to be honest with time she'd be easily able to find out if Ndeye really was up to the challenge of eternity- No, Kyoko's expectations. The woman already seemed plenty strong. Oh boy was this woman a sweet talker "You certainly know how to flatter a lady don't you?" she laughed a bit as she enjoyed the comments that praised her, finally some god damn recognition.
"I do very much enjoy your straight forward attitude. It's nice to see there can at least still be people who are honest in the world of villains." she said taking a sip of her drink. However Ndeye had a question of her own, good. Despite her words saying she only follows orders she can also at least think for herself, some of her smaller level thugs weren't really able to. Sometimes their thoughts lead to them making poor decision but Ndeye's did not. "If you were to join the mobsters, aside from the Kobayashi. You would have me as your enemy, that alone should be a bad idea." she said becoming a tad bit more serious in terms of facial expression. "But if you join me, I'd give you what you want. You fight for me and I ensure your wildest dream comes true. After all it's only fair someone who has given you their loyalty pays back the favor no? I take care of my own as im sure my partners can tell you." she said confidently. "But you're definitely smarter than that aren't you? I trust in your decision making." She smiled at her trusting in her potential partner's decision. If the girl did end up denying Eternity Kyoko wouldnt be too upset, if she became a problem later on she'd smash her with all of Eternity's force. She didn't seem like she'd go down easily so she'd rather avoid it if she could.

"Flatter?" Ndeye questioned, looking miffed, as her upper lip curled slightly. The choice of words seemed to offend her. "I never flatter. I state things as I see them," she huffed, downing another swig of beer. If she had blushed or puffed up her cheeks, it might have been a cute reaction, but there wasn't a cute bone in Ndeye's body.
She quieted down for a bit to listen to Kyoko instead. The large woman nodded, then stared forward, downing another huge draw of beer. The giant, clear mug she'd been served in was already nearly empty by this point. "Of course. Giving me what I want is easy. All you need are enemies and I will have what I want: combat," she agreed, her heavy brow casting a shadow over her smoldering orange eyes. "You don't need to take care of me," she scoffed, seeming to take that as a queue to finish off the last of her mug. As she finished gulping it down, she set it down just a bit too hard, shaking the contents of the gambling table, and then nodded once more. "Yes. I do not see any reason I should not fight on the side of your organization. As you gamblers say let's... eeeh... stack the deck in our favor." Dry humor was the closest she ever came to a joke, or perhaps the alcohol was drawing a little bit of camaraderie out of her.
She waved the waiter back down, then pointed toward her empty mug. Kyoko might be left wondering how many beers this short exchange was going to cost her. "Now you have me curious. Who are your enemies? Can you fill me in on who we are likely to come across? Besides the weak Japanese police," she barked a short, haughty laugh, seeming dismissive of them. "You must encounter Japan's heroes all the time. You must be on their lists. Who might be on the lookout for you?" It was hard to tell whether she was collecting a list of names to take preemptive action or if she was just being cautious.
