Early morning starts were never a whole lot of fun. It always managed to throw off Isamu's body clock for the next few days which in the end just made for one grumpy teenager. Though his mother would always joke that he was, in point of fact, a grumpy teenager regardless. Isamu resented such statements. He was a normal, mild mannered young man, that is until he was forced to wake up ear-.... Ok so maybe he was slightly grumpy today but he was quite sure he wouldn't be the only person put off by the early wake-up today. He could already hear the faint sounds of shuffling feet and stealthily closing doors in the hallway outside him dorm room. The vast majority of his year group had been selected to take part in some form of Practical Exercise today, one that apparently involved waking up at the crack of dawn, near enough sneaking out of the dorm building like a pack of super powered ninjas and piling into a bus for god knows how long.
Of all those things Isamu had to admit that he would take an early wake-up over a bus trip any day of the week. He hated the damn things, always far too cramped for anyone even an inch above an average height. They hadn't even been told where it was they were going so he had no idea how long he'd be stuck in the damn vehicle. When he'd first heard about the plans for the exercise, Isamu had assumed that it would be taking place in one of the expansive and incredibly expensive training grounds that U.A played host to. Closer to the date they had all been given notice of new plans, namely waking up before the sun and being herded into a bus. He supposed it wasn't all bad though. He had been itching for some more practical work to supplement the veritable tide of Heroic Theory and Law Studies that they had to grind through on a daily basis. There was only so many times a person could re-read the same restrictive, but often necessary, Quirk Laws before wanting to beat their head against a hard wall.
Whatever it was that his teachers had in store for them today, Isamu would meet the challenge with a smile plastered across his face. As he left his own dorm, quietly passing by his fellow first years, he gave a slight nod to those few that he was particularly friendly with, a kind smile greeted the rest as he weaved in and out of their way, a bag over one shoulder and a rather large thermos of Go-Go juice in his free hand. Sure, Isamu was more than capable of waking up early if the need arose, but coffee certainly never hurt matters. With his destination in mind Isamu quickly made his way through campus and towards the front gate of U.A, eventually coming to see a large bus waiting for him and the other students who were trudging along behind him. Taking a long sip of his drink, Isamu sighed loudly and moved towards the now open door of the bus. May as well get it over with as soon as possible.
He stopped to give kind greetings to the assembled teachers before making his way onto the bus, quickly moving right towards the back where the only good seat in the entire vehicle was. It wasn't some silly notion of "cool kids sit at the back" or anything as benign as that. Not it was a much, much simpler reason. There was more leg room at the back, and Isamu was not a short young man. being crammed up in any other seat on the bus would undoubtedly give him cramps or at the very least sore legs for the duration of the day. Seeing as he still had no idea what the day would bring and what exactly it was that his teachers had planned for himself and his fellow students, Isamu wanted to go into things as comfortably as possible, and that meant legroom.
There was something odd about the bus though. Something that he hadn't noticed from the outside looking in, but it was readily apparent now that he had actually sat down and had half a chance to look about his surroundings. The windows, all down the length of the bus, were completely covered in such a way that not even a glimpse of outside could be seen. There were even makeshift blinds in place to make it much harder for the passengers to see out the front window. Wherever it was that their teachers were taking them, it wasn't somewhere that they wanted their students to figure out ahead of time. That only served to deepen the mystery for Isamu, he couldn't exactly think of anywhere they would take them that could require this much secrecy.
All in all it just served to get him more excited than anything else. He was more than a little keen for a challenge and if all this cloak and dagger led him towards one than he was all for it. Whatever it was they were up to, it was likely team based to some extent, there were just too many students attending this practical exercise for it to be anything else. Maybe it was some kind of teamwork building workshop, designed to teach them how to work together in random groups, in much the same way that Pro Heroes were often working together with strangers simply by chance. You couldn't always be teamed up with your partners or close friends after all. Despite that, Isamu could only hope that he would be teamed with at least one other person he knew to any significant extent, there were a LOT of new faces in U.A's first year compliment.
Regardless, for the time being Isamu was more than happy stretch out, get comfortable and finish off his drink. He got the feeling that he'd need the pick-me-up before the day was through.

Although Isaac considered himself a morning person, getting up extra early for a school trip always found it's way to be a hassle. It wasn't that the time to leave on the bus was too early or anything like that. Usually the young Irish lad just got too excited about the trip beforehand and ended up losing a lot of sleep over it. Either that or he forgot to pack until the night before and went to bed a lot later than planned. In this case he was wiping the tiredness from his ruby red eyes for both reasons! All things considered though he wasn't too bad. He did get a good few hours of sleep in his bed at the very least so he wasn't grumpy. In fact his excitement made his smile that much bigger! But amidst the excitement was a twinge of nervousness. Much like the camping trip no one really knew where the hell they were going and the last thing Isaac wanted to deal with was another bus falling off the edge of a freeway. So keeping his hopes and optimism high Isaac left his room with his bags towards wherever the bus was!
As he made his way to the bus, Isaac's mind started to wander as to what they could be doing on this little trip. This one was kept a lot more hush hush which added an air of mystery to it but from a couple of rumors among the other first years most assumed it was just a fancy training trip. Something that could easily be done here at home if they wanted to! But travelling away for such training often meant that the students wouldn't be restricted in using their quirk at all! And since most people knew that there was definitely an enthusiastic buzz about the event. Now as to what exactly they would be focusing on would be anyone guess. Since U.A. definitely wasn't lacking any funding they could use their hordes of money to make any sort of training exercise for the students filled with various different aspects. Or maybe there would be multiple lessons in this trip! The possibilities were almost limitless since the school only had so much funds to spend on the little first years.
The blue haired boy's mind was still racing with a multitude of different possibilities that the school could take with this little trip as he got to the bus. In truth this train of thought was the only thing keeping Isaac awake and aware of his surroundings. The sweet embrace of sleep was slowly beginning to creep up on him again but keeping his mind active was helping at least. "Morning Sensei." He greeted with a casual wave to the few teachers that had arrived at the bus. Actually, more than a few, in fact there was actually quite a number of teachers coming on this trip compared to the last one. Unreal! There's gonna be so much to do! Isaac thought to himself as he put his bag in the under carriage and hoped on the bus.
All this excitement Isaac had been feeling had set his hopes extremely high. Until he came crashing back down to earth remembering he was going to have to sit on a bus for god knows how long in a cramped position! Sleeping was an option sure, but after the whole camping trip fiasco he didn't feel comfortable drifting off on a U.A bus anymore. Besides from the looks of the bus it was very crowded so he was going to have to sit beside someone this time around and going to sleep on that person would be rather rude. Patting his pockets as he moved up the bus he made sure he had everything on him. Phone, wallet, keys, cards. Phew.
Isaac also got the bright idea to head to the back of the bus for some of that good leg room! But he mainly went to the back since that's where the cool kids sat! Oh and he noticed Isamu sitting on his lonesome. Poor guy, I'm gonna sit beside him.. "Hey man, mind if I sit here?" he asked putting on hand on the back of the chair beside his 1-A classmate. Assuming he said yes Isaac would take the seat, sighing as he stretched out his legs. Ah that was better, not cramped knees! "So, what do ya think about the trip? Any idea what we're gonna be doin?" He asked not noticing the stilted windows on the bus or the amount of students actually on the bus. On a normal day the thought may have crossed the young man's mind but right now Isaac was fighting a losing battle with sleep and he couldn't quite think that far ahead. So instead he was going to have Isamu do it for him to keep the conversation going and hopefully keep him awake. But if that didn't work then Isaac had a plan B! As well as rather comfy seats and arm rests, the back of each seat and a tray table. A big one at that. The only other thing he needed was for the bus ride to go smoothly for his plan B to work and he was set. But for now his plan A was in motion and he was pretty happy with it.

It seemed Isamu wasn't the only person on the lookout for the ever undervalued commodity that was leg room. Isamu himself was close to zoning out, his body trying to decide whether or not to fall asleep. He was used to waking up early, but not waking up early and then immediately sitting down in a dark, somewhat comfortable bus, it was sort of counterproductive. Out of the corner of his eye Isamu spotted someone making their way closer and closer towards the back of the bus, and ultimately where he was seated. With a small surge of effort Isamu drew himself back up out of the seat, perking up at a moments notice to appear at least a little bit presentable as he focused in on just who it was coming his way. The blue hair was a dead giveaway. Isaac was an easy to identify figure, the aforementioned hair certainly helped, but he was also one of the few students in Class 1-A that near matched Isamu's height. No wonder he wanted to sit at the back.
A lazy smile found its way to Isamu's face as the pair greeted each other and he moved himself out of the way so as to allow his friend easier access to the land of leg room. Heck, he was even nice enough to ask for permission beforehand, not that he really needed it. They weren't in Primary school anymore after all.
"Yeah of course. Get comfortable," he said, chuckling quietly among the two of them. "No idea how long we're going to be stuck in here after all." he joked as Isaac moved past him to his own seat.
Of the whole of his class, Isaac was probably one of two, maybe three people that Isamu had spent any significant time getting to know. He'd just not had the time for out of class activities or get together's, much to his own disappointment. That and he tended to avoid the U.A Chat like the plague, there was far too much drama to be had there and the less said about it the better. Isamu didn't exactly want to color his opinion of people he hadn't even met from just what they may or may not have said in something as benign as a school group chat. Though it couldn't be said that he and Isaac were best of friends or anything like that, but they were at the very least friendlier than usual with each other, or at least Isamu liked to think as much.
Isaac took a moment to get himself comfortable before asking Isamu what he thought about the trip they would soon be leaving on, and likely the more pressing matter, if he had any actual idea as to what it was they would be doing. Isamu stretched out in his seat and laced his hands back behind his head as he scoffed lightly. He had next to no idea himself what was going on today, and would tell his friend as much.
"I won't lie and say I'm not excited for it, that's for sure. We don't get to do all that many Practical exercises after all." he explained, and he wasn't exactly wrong in that regard. Some part of Isamu knew that U.A wouldn't be all combat and Heroic related training, it was a school after all, not a boot camp. But still, he would be lying if he said he wasn't a little surprised at just how far the Theory and Academic side of their classes outweighed the practical work. Today would hopefully serve to be a breath of fresh air. That was if this wasn't some elaborate trick to trap he and his fellow students in a confined space to drive them to some lecture or such. Their teachers wouldn't be that evil would they?
"As for what we're actually doing, well, your guess is as good as mine I suppose." he said, before gesturing to the covered windows around them.
"Though from the looks of it, wherever we're going the Teachers don't want us to know about it until we get there. Maybe they don't want us brainstorming on the way there, or something like that." he guessed with a shrug of his shoulders. It didn't really matter either way, they'd find out eventually he supposed.
"So if I had to guess, I'd say some sort of survival exercise in some remote location off campus." he suggested, not really knowing if that was the case, but the last week had gotten him guessing.
"They didn't bother to check our bags getting on, so they obviously aren't too concerned with what we might have brought. That and over the last week did you notice that the teachers were slipping some lessons about Heroes rescuing people from extreme climate conditions and what not?" he said, explaining his reasoning. Isamu knew that he might just be looking too far into something that wasn't even there, but still, he had come to realize that nothing happened at U.A without a reason, however vague it may be.
He hoped he wasn't boring Isaac, he had gone on a bit of a rant he supposed and it was far too early for anything like that. He reached down and grabbed his admittedly heavy backpack and pulled it up onto his lap. He unzipped it in an overly covert and dramatic fashion as if he were trying to hide it's contents from anyone other than himself and Isaac. Inside was a plethora of assorted supplies but the immediate standout was an absolute trove of high calorie food bars, the kind you might think to give to a half starving man to get him back and rearing to go.
"Whatever it is we're doing, I came prepared." he said, laughing slightly at the silliness of it. He had spoken with Isaac before about the rather high calorie intake he needed for his Quirk, so the supplies should have come as no surprise. Most people with Quirks like theirs had the same drawback now that he thought about it.

Isamu much like Isaac had a particular style that made him stand out. If it wasn't for his brooding good looks it was definiteness white hair. Although another classmate Jack had white hair too, Jack's was way more floofy and poofy while Isamu had a much more defined look. The scar over his eye was also a pretty obvious tell which also gave the man an initial sense of mystery about him. Well that and "Holy shit he has a scar on his eye." Which some people could see as gross or cool! Isaac naturally thought the latter. Isaume was also pretty tall in Japanese stands, in fact a little taller than Isaac himself so he wasn't too terribly difficult to spot in that regard either. In fact now that he thought about it more Isamu did do a good job at standing out. Good on him.
Giving Isamu a slightly more energetic smile, Isaac took off his backpack so when he awkwardly shuffled past his fellow 1-A classmate his bag wasn't smushing up or rubbing against his face. Nice of him to let him sit there. Most people liked to pan out along the other seats for that maximum legroom even thought most teachers didn't like it when kids did that. Either that or some of the more edgier kids would want to sit alone at the back to fit the loner trope but luckily Isamu didn't have either idea in mind so isaac could enjoy his stay in legroom country! He even told Isaac to get comfortable! So Isaac did! Sitting well back into the seat he crossed his arms and spread his legs out wide. Ahhh, maybe this trip wasn't gonna be so bad?
After Isaac made himself at home he asked Isamu his question which he got a reply to fairly quickly. heck he got a reply even before he asked it. Firstly Isamu explained that he was excited and rightfully so since big field trips like this were a rarity. "Should be fun either way." he agreed joining in with the light chuckle. He then took a second glance at the windows, or rather lack there of and the slants that covered the transparent glass. How am I only now seeing it? "Yeah no kidding, I never really noticed until now. But yeah you're probably right. I'd say it must be a pretty obvious to know what we'll be doing if we can see it from out a window." rubbing the back of his head with a semi awkward smile he agreed with Isamu and listened to his other insights. "Oh survival huh? Maybe. Would make sense. I think it has to be a bit more on the nose though. But either way it'd be hard to tell from a glance, right?" he asked rubbing his chin with a pondering look on his face. What Isamu said next though was rather interesting. "Huh? Really? That's weird? Maybe it's just gonna be some rescue type lesson then?" he wondered allowed keeping his pondering posture. To Isamu it didn't matter much since he said he came extra prepared.
"Suppose it's a good thing they didn't check your bags then?" he said with a wink, nudging the white haired boy with his elbow. "Whatcha pack anyway? I never know what to bring so I end up just stuffing my bag with a bit of everything. Preparation definitely isn't one of my strong suits." He said laughing again, interested to know how Isamu's mind worked and what he thought might be important to bring to be extra prepared like he said.

Isamu laughed along with Isaac as he zipped his bag back up, but not after taking out one of the many high calorie bars from inside. After all, breakfast was a bit of a luxury this morning. He carefully tore into the packet before taking a bite, he never had liked the flavor of the damn things but they got the job done for him and he supposed that was all that mattered in the end. He certainly didn't want to be caught out overusing his Quirk in the middle of whatever exercise their teachers had planned for them today. Isaac, whilst somewhat agreed with Isamu's thoughts on the day he did raise a decent point. A simple survival exercise did seem a little benign for U.A. If anything they would spice it right the hell up and make it a massive undertaking for their students. Not that Isamu particularly minded if that was the case, he would relish the challenge.
He raised a brow at Isaac's question about what else his bag contained, mentally thinking back on what he had actually put in there. Whilst he had a decent idea as to what it was they would be doing today, there was no way he could have known for sure. With such uncertainty it made it much harder to accurately pack for the occasion. Picking items dedicated to one event would have left him woefully unprepared if they were in fact doing something else entirely. But the reverse was also true, packing a wide range of objects would have the same result in the end. To that end Isamu had simply packed items that could be useful for a number of things. They were all relatively easy to come by things as well, he had no desire, or ability, to go out and splurge on the latest and greatest camping or survival tech on the market. He was much more of a Camper than a Glamper anyway.
"Any preparation is better than none I suppose, at least you'll have something that might give you a leg up." he said, praising Isaac's forethought. He was sure that there would be at least one or two people on this trip that hadn't taken the opportunity to prepare. While it was true that their teachers hadn't asked or even suggested that they bring anything along with them for the trip, the glaring omission in Isamu's eyes was the fact that they hadn't said NOT to do as much. That was all Isamu needed to know before he started making his own list. For him there was no reason not to, just like he had said to Isaac, any preparation was better than none. Who knew what they would be doing? Maybe the one little thing he decided not to bring would have become a crucial mistake.
"Well, because I didn't really know what we were going to be doing I just brought a few assorted things." he explained, holding up a hand and tapping off a finger with each item listed.
"A small fire starter. A pack of Water Purification tablets. A few rolls of gauze and a thermal blanket." he said, rounding off his small list. It certainly wasn't a grand list, but it was better than nothing.
"What about you?" he asked, throwing the question back at Isaac. He was interested to see what Isaac considered 'a bit of everything'. His bag wasn't all that much bigger than Isamu's, so he certainly wasn't one of those people who went way overboard. Isamu figured most of the people who did bring along supplies would bring things in the same vein as himself, but maybe he had overthought things, and would be the one with all the weird and useless items. He supposed they would find out eventually with whatever it was that their teachers had in store for them today. He could honestly say he was more than looking forward to to it. It wasn't everyday that they got to do a big practical lesson like this after all. He could only hope that the day went off without a hitch, they didn't need anything souring the experience for them.

Isamu praised Isaac for at least being somewhat prepared. Having a lot of something was at least going to benefit the boy in some way. This sentiment made the boy a little more relieved. Isaac always had a less is more sort of mindset when it came to most things. Regular outings and the sort were easy for him to prepare and didn’t take too much thought. But bigs trips like this always gave him doubts about that kind of thinking. Especially when everything was being kept very hush hush. Heck the teachers didn’t even give people a recommended list of things to bring! But even without a list Isaac just shoved anything he thought that might be useful into his bag. A list of items never really crossed his mind. Isaac was more of a person to pack with certain activities or possibilities in mind and then just shoving stuff into his bag until he met everything he needed.
And from Isamu said he had a similar mindset although when he described what he brought Isaac was once again reminded of a less is more ideology. That being said even if it wasn’t a grand list it sounded incredibly useful and right to the point. He even brought some food too by the looks of things with that energy bar. So that was food and water down with some other in case of emergency items for necessities sake. Isaac was very impressed at how practical Isamu was with his picks and Isaac looked rather impressed as he listed everything off. Granted Isaac always seemed to have a happy smile on his face but this time around it was more in admiration than constant happiness.
Wait shit, fuck. He thought to himself as the white haired lad shot the question back at Isaac himself. Even though he knew this was going to be the direction of the conversation isaac didn’t come up with a very cohesive answer. Isamu’s was just so captivating and interesting that Isaac felt like he needed to keep a note of it so next time he packed he’d be better prepared!
”Uh well lemme think.” Since the irish lad just sort of fired everything into his bags without much thought he had to actually stop and think for a moment. ”Towels, Blankets, Bottles of water, shitton of ramen, gauze too actually, oh yeah couple of extra pairs of clothes. I think a lunchbox or two? Toiletries of course and uh I think that’s it? Oh a sleeping bag too.” Unlike Isamu Isaac decided to just list everything he had in case he left anything out. He mainly did this for himself since he was ticking off stuff in his head. He had the extra towels and clothes in case he or anyone else got very wet. Blankets and sleeping bag was for heat and then the rest should be pretty self explanatory. Although his list was longer than Isamu’s it really wasn’t any better and Isaac thought that his classmates was probably more practical. Heck he never even considered a fire starter kit. It’d be pretty bad to have cold ramen noodles if there wasn’t a way to heat up his water. They had a similar understanding with gauze and blankets too which was nice. Made Isaac feel like he at least did a decent job with his picks.
”I wonder if this trip will be like camping though. I kind of assumed we’d be staying in some accomodation? Probably assuming too much there though.” He said reaching into his own bag and taking out one of his many bottles of water. A firestarter kit and water purification tablets were a really smart bring but if they weren’t going to be in the wilderness then they could only be so useful. Not that Isaac could talk since he never used either of them before in his life and starting a fire was also an alien task to him but nevertheless he wasn’t going to judge Isamu for it. In fact he still thought it was really smart to bring them just in case. It was way better to have those kinds of things in case that’s what the trip was heading rather than being stuck without them.
As he rummaged in his bag for something to eat, Isaac’s had hit something in a spare pocket of his bag. ”Oh yeah, totally forgot about this essential item!” he said with an unexpected rise in vigor. He promptly pulled out the item and placed his other hand other it, presenting it like a prize. ”Deck of cards to hustle some money out of people!” he said a little too loudly which caused one or two students to turn their heads in his direction. ”Or to just pass the time.” he said smirking placing the pack onto his lap. ”You know any good card games Isamu?”

Isamu nodded along with Isaac as the other boy listed off the supplies he himself had brought along on the trip. It was a decent list, with not poor choices in Isamu's opinion. He himself hadn't seen the need to bring along things like blankets or a sleeping bag as he could simply fashion his own from his Quirk. The fact that he could climate control his Petals certainly helped in that regard and he'd could make a lot more than just one of each. Though Isamu had to agree with Isaac's train of thought, there wasn't actually any confirmation that the trip they were going on would even be camping related in the slightest. It was only Isamu's leading theory that the task ahead of them was Survival in nature and that could be proven wrong very quickly.
"I suppose we'll have to wait and see. Either way, if it ends up that we don't need any of this stuff then it's likely that we would have been fine packing nothing to begin with." he said, thinking something along those lines. He was fairly confident that U.A would have explicitly told them if they didn't need to bring anything along with them, so as to stop the added stress that some people might have encountered from the task of trying to choose what to bring. The fact that nothing had been said on the matter had led Isamu to believe that it was optional. It was the main reason he had decided to mainly just bring along utility items that would be helpful in a variety of situations. Sure Isaac's list was more camping focused in nature, he'd certainly get some use out of at least one or two things he brought regardless of what they were walking, well, being driven into.
The bus itself continued to fill up at a decent pace, half sleeping students filling down the aisle to find a free seat as they plonked themselves down hard. It seemed quite a few of his classmates certainly weren't morning people. Isaac himself seemed to be taking it well, though he might be like Isamu in that regard, an early riser that is. Isamu wondered just how long they'd be on the bus, maybe the rest of them would have time for another few hours of sleep, or maybe their Teachers were only trying to mess with them. Wake them all up early, file them onto a bus only to drive them to one of the schools many training facilities. That would just be evil Isamu thought, though not undeserved. He supposed that the idea held merit, even if he didn't think it was what was happening. Heroes did need to be ready on a moments notice after all, sleep was not going to be a luxury they always had available to them in this career. Getting yourself into an early morning schedule wouldn't hurt in that regard. Isamu himself only did it to give himself more time in the day for both study and training.
He was brought out of his thoughts by Isaac once more reaching into his bag to pull something out. His hand returning with a deck of cards held aloft like some grand prize. He even went so far as to make a joke about hustling money from their classmates, a comment which caused a few heads to turn vaguely in their direction as Isaac and Isamu both shared a small laugh. It would be good to have something to pass the time, or at the very least a little of it. After all they didn't really know how long they'd be on the bus, so having something to keep them occupied would help a little. Isamu sat himself up in his seat, turning his back to the window so as to be facing Isaac. With a wave of his hand a small cloud of petals flowed from his sleeve, forming into a small table between the two boys. While they did have rather sizable tray tables on the backs of the seats in front of them, they wouldn't really help them with whatever they decided to do with the cards.
"I know all the games you'd expect I suppose. But all the really fun games I know would need some.....refreshments to really make the most of them." he said with a sly smile. That in itself was an admission of a misdemeanor crime he supposed, but it was certainly something that most people his age were guilty of to some extent. To that end he was fairly sure Isaac wouldn't think anything less of him for. Hell, Isaac himself had most likely partaken as well. Isamu gestured for Isaac to hand him the deck of cards and upon receiving them he removed them from their pack, a small swarm of petals surrounding the deck. It took only a few moments before the cards were separated, each individual card being held aloft by a lone petal affixed firmly to the back of it. With a few quick hand gestures Isamu sent the cards flying about in a tight pattern, shuffling the cards much more thoroughly then would have otherwise been possible if he had used his hands lone. He set the cards back down in front of Isaac.
"You're choice is fine with my I suppose." he said gesturing Isaac towards the deck. Honestly he preferred something simple like this for the time being. While he was more than a little excited for whatever the day held, he figured doing something like this would help get his mind off working over the multitude of possibilities. Stressing himself out trying to pre plan the day would do him no good in the end. Playing cards with Isaac would help take his mind off of things at the very least. The fact that it was simply a fun way to pass time didn't hurt either. He hadn't exactly had a great deal of time to talk with Isaac lately, so it would also serve as a good way to catch up.

”Hehe I guess you’re right.” he said with a smirk and shrugged his shoulders. Isaac only partially agreed though. They would of course need something that they packed even if it was just a change of clothes. Everything else was just to make things easier. He supposed it all came down to how he thought of packing. He didn’t pack for necessities but just to make things easier on himself should things go higgledy piggledy or start out rough from the get go. And of course he packed some things just to enjoy himself, like his deck of cards!
Having a small giggle with Isamu about hustling other kids Isaac went to put the table tray down from the seat in front, but Isamu had another idea in mind. A fancier idea. With a sly smile and a wave of his hand he made his quirk literally blossomed and made a little table for the two to use. ”Huh, well that’s handy.” he said taking a quick glance down the bus to see if any teachers were watching. Isaac didn’t really care that Isamu was using his quirk to make a table of petals and in fact thought it was really friggin cool and handy for their current situation. However he didn’t want him to get in trouble for using his quirk. Like sure it was U.A. but they were still really strict with quirk uses. Even Jack got in trouble for using his quirk without permission around school so really anyone could be smacked with a detention for it. Well so long as they weren’t caught then they wouldn’t be breaking the rules!
Speaking of rules, his 1-A classmate said that he knew most of the basic games but the really fun ones needed something else to spice them up. Isaac gave a surprised yet proud smile as he gave a small laugh. ”Haha, ah lad.” he said in English accidentally as he shook his head lightly. It had been awhile since someone was so casual about that kind of thing with him. Most people either had a stick up their butt or were just too clueless to that side of conversations. Isamu asked for the cards and Isaac obliged with a smile. “Shit, now how am I supposed to fuck shit up for him!” He thought keeping up his smile to save face. Usually Isaac like to just shuffle the cards his own special way so whatever game they were playing he could, well not cheat but see how good the opponent was at using the cards they were dealt. Seems as if Isamu did have a knowledgeable head on his shoulders. Not only that but he was a showoff too! Using his quirk again he started to shuffle the cards. A flurry of pink, white, red, black and gold mixed in and out together, the colour of the pink petals more prominent that the colours of the base cards and their backs. Setting the deck in front of him Isaac looked back up to Isamu looking impressed once more.
Giving Isaac the choice of game the boy cracked his knuckles and neck thinking of a game. Now normally Isaac wouldn’t mind letting someone else shuffle the deck, provided he knew that nothing too spectacular would come out of it but since Isamu showed some prowess in these sort of schemes Isaac was a little hesitant. In truth he was just thinking about how he would have stacked the cards if he was shuffling the deck and how would he beat himself at his own game. ”Hmm, okay. How about a game sort of like 21?” he asked thinking it’d be probably the simplest game to play and wouldn’t require too much room or thought. ”Don’t worry the actual game is 21 but with a twist. Neither of us see the one card we start off with and any cards we hit are face up. We can choose to turn the card face up though, so if you get hit two good cards you can just not turn up the set one. It’s pretty simple all things considered.” And it was probably the best way to mix things up in case Isamu did stack the deck, at least in Isaac’s eyes. ”Now I dunno if you’re a betting man or not Isamu but for now we can play a regular game just to get a feel for it and then spice things up later? Up to you though.” he asked wondering if Isamu was interested in the refreshments of this particular game.
