Saga Title: "The Cold Case"
Character: Ryoma Nijima
Starting Prompt: During his time as the former Vigilante known as Long Jacket, Ryoma investigated a string of eerily similar murders. As time passed, the killer became more brazen and having begun to notice Ryoma's investigation, they started leaving messages specifically for the young and inexperienced Vigilante. However, one day the killer mysteriously vanished and the case went cold.
Years later, a new string of murders have begun to appear with a similar M.O. They similarly leave cryptic messages for Ryoma, now the Pro Hero, Artisan. With his relatively new status as a Pro Hero, he is pressured into investigating it and solving a case that has long since eluded him.
Story Beats: This saga should start with Ryoma's investigation, as he investigates a familiar crime scene. This will eventually lead to an uncomfortable interview with the journalist, Hanako Mizuki, where his connection to the killer and his inability to solve the case in the past are questioned. This ultimately pushes him into his first encounter with the killer whose acquired a particular interest in Ryoma. With his personal life exposed as a Pro, his family are made targets which ultimately leads to his final encounter with the deranged killer. This is a rough outline, but more threads and characters can be added as needed or if there's interest.
NPCs Involved: I would ideally like to minimize the amount of NPC's and keep it to actual PC's on the site, but if that fails...
-An experienced detective / police officer (or another Pro Hero) during the first thread who might make a few appearances during other investigations Role filled by: Tobias Murakami
- Any media person for the first (and possibly a second interview at the end) Role filled by: Hanako Mizuki
- The recurring Villain of the story
End-Goal: A boost to his reputation and accolades mostly. I would like to establish his Hero Agency as the premiere choice for investigations as he improves his detective skills and make it the go to choice for more "cerebral" quirks with utility, rather than just fighting power.
Notables: I can't think of anything
