PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ loyal ✔ energetic ✔ candid ✔ empathetic ✔ focused ✔ considerate NEGATIVE ✖ reckless ✖ clingy ✖ sensitive ✖ insecure ✖ naive ✖ forgetful LIKES ✔ plush toys ✔ emotional movies ✔ spicy foods ✔ physical contact ✔ shopping DISLIKES ✖ introverts ✖ real animals ✖ swimming ✖ liars ✖ spending money PERSONALITY People often get blinded by how bright and bubbly Kutsu can be. He's the only guy who anonymously sends people plush versions of themselves on their birthdays, and he gets genuinely shocked when they figure out the sender was him, every year. One time, his Amazon order didn't arrive on schedule, and he walked into the post office to check if the mailman was doing okay. He can memorize all the names of his 100+ stuffed animals, but he still slips up and calls his teachers "Mom." Even the dudes. It's easy to get sucked into how passionately he gushes about sewing, fabric, and patterns. Upon further inspection, it can also be easy to be slightly disturbed by how emotionally attached he is to his plushies. Some call it unhealthy. Kutsushita calls it respect for the artform. Not one to deterred by haters, the boy flaunts his cotton creations without shame, even at the expense of his reputation. Years of bullying left a scar in his psyche though, and he gets incredibly defensive toward anyone who disses Sir Hopsalot. No hard feelings though. He knows how to forgive and forget. His power is sourced from his tears, and luckily for Kutsu, he's so dang emotional. He's a sucker for rom coms and flicks where the dog dies in the end. He also once had knack for bawling anytime someone said a bad word, but he's mostly grown out of it. Friends are precious to him, but if he ever finds himself alone, he can always make his own. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.78 m WEIGHT: 70 kg HAIR/STYLE: a shoulder-length mop of dark blue SKIN/SCARS: mostly fair, with a pretty bad scar around his left eye EYES: blue and filled with wonder NOTABLES: fingertips are particularly calloused The dude's been a beanpole for a while, but he's doing his best to bulk up. Evidence of weight training isn't obvious from the onset, and he's way too shy to just rip his shirt off like it's nothing. His hands are firm and oddly smooth, save for a bit of roughness at the fingertips where he messes with sewing needles. Otherwise, nothing about his stature seems out of the ordinary. Navy strands fall past his face, landing right above his shoulder in a bit of a mess. It never gets tangled per se, but his hair gives off that bedhead vibe. And rather than cropping it short, he lets it brush past his eyes. People often spot him either tying it up into a small knot above his forehead or pinning it back with an exorbitant amount of hair clips. In combat, he opts for a combination of both. What people tend to notice first, however, is the burnt skin blotching the left side of his face. This is nothing more than the outcome of an embarrassing story about teddy bears and firecrackers. When it comes to fashion, his outfits fluctuate. On lazy days, he throws on minimalist sets of solid-colored shirts and fitted jeans. On Fabulous Fridays, he sports the craziest patterns, wearing items crafted by his own hands. Last year when pineapples were the big thing, every inch of him was checkered in the spiky fruit. His hero costume is also a currently prototype. Right now, he wears a kangaroo onesie into battle, plucked from the department store racks, with a utility belt around his waist, a pouch at his gut to carry stuffed animals, and tear-collecting goggles that siphon his tears into spray bottles. He swears he's just slow at designing his real costume. |

HISTORY The Itos weren't rolling in cash, to say the least. Both his parents were employees of a local toy factory, bringing home plastic bags full of pre-cut fabric and cotton stuffing. They'd sit at the kitchen table and weave needle and thread together as they had Kutsu read aloud his latest picture book. Their son always felt guilty watching his mom and dad burn the midnight oil to support him, so as soon as he felt old enough, he started giving them a hand. He watched them stitch together cats and bears to imitate their work. At some point, his dad berated him for not playing outside enough. Kutsu cried the whole evening, and when he got around to making plushies with his parents, the completed bunny started to twitch. It was freaky. Initially, the Itos thought it was the work of an intruder, but as the son started hugging his other finished products in fear, these toys also came alive. It was clear to them Kutsu's Quirk had finally manifested. This was the best day ever! Not only could he play with his plushies, but they could play with him too. He started bringing them everywhere, attracting young punks who falsely believed his cuddly friends were lame af. There was some childhood bullying going on, that's for sure. He never grew out of the habit though, because every time his parents suggested he leave Bear-Bear at home, his eyes would well with tears. Over time, the boy gained more control of his power, pushing the limits and experimenting with the applications. And after commanding his stuffed animals to cushion a friend from a fall, Kutsu knew he had the potential to make a difference in the world. He convinced his parents to let him take Yuei's entrance exam. Somehow, he managed to score enough points to gain admission, and the aspiring hero didn't hesitate to accept. |
