There was this certain... motherly feel to how dragon queen was handling him now. The almost teasing demeanor and outright headruffling almost made Kirk feel like he was being babied a little for all these questions he had. Of course he knew that breathing costume was important! He himself had brought it up! Heck, he had requested an outfit to fit his form! He didn't need all this little micromanaging she was doing... Although admittedly, calling her a teacher didn't feel so dumb, when she Admitted to be very much similarly judging... in that regard, she was probably like a coach... Especially when she brought up, how she wanted them, including him of course, to stand up for themselves... It atleast seemed to him, that she r
He still shook his head after the very parental hair ruffle though. It was perhaps a bit too intimate for comfort for him. Guess he just didn't get his head scratched too often.
The answer to most of his questions overall seemed to be 'it comes with experience'... and luckily for him, shouting very attention grabbingly was something he had always had an affinity for. Hearing an actual hero praising him for his battlecry and name couldn't have filled him more with pride and accomplishment! Although, when she implied he should get a voice modulator, for a moment, that pride turned into confusion! "HUH!? You saying my voice isn't loud enough?!" That's what that sort of thing were for after all. But the lady had kept saying he should keep his voice down! "Nah, I don't think I am gonna need a voice modulator! I don't wanna KILL the villains from heart attacks, after all, you get me, hehe?!" He shrugged, turning towards the streets again. "Besides, if I wasn't able to shout..." He took a deep breath... "SUUPEERRRRRR SluggeeEERRRRRRRAH!" R:s of Rah were accompanied by him slamming his chest with his hands like a gorilla. Another small breath... "...So that people hear it on it's own, than what's the point?"
"I came up with my name, because that's what I am! Except super!" He flexed to emphasize! "That, and the biggest heroes back home in comics and movies are, you know, simple things! SUPERDUDE! RATKNIGHT! MIRACLELASS! Big names all of em, and easy to remember too!"
When it came to to his implication of what she would do, he got pretty much dunked back on the ground. "S-sorry!" A rude assumption indeed! Apparently it was more of a specialization thing... "Yeah, a batter wouldn't do what a catcher does..." And he himself would not be too good at Espionage either, for reasons that were obvious for the both of them at this point. The bottom line was, that he just needed to find his niche. "Niche huh..." It had him sitting back down, and scratching his cheek. On one hand well, he wanted to be like Dragon queen, a huge juggernaut... But he lacked the quirk for that sort of thing. He had the voice to be some sort of loud speaker... but didn't have the smarts to come up with things to say on the fly, other than loud words about himself. That and being a rescue hero would take him out of the big action completely... It was a hard question, and he wasn't sure what to answer yet...
He was distracted away from thinking it, as Dragon queen proceeded to give a bit of an origin story for herself. These were usually one of the more interesting parts of movies based on them. Naturally, he had pretty much skipped the whole "trust gathering process" of being a vigilante by studying to be a hero instead. for a moment he thought that that was the hard part... but she still needed to do some trust gathering after becoming a hero! "I guess that makes sense?" The surprise was way more evident on his face than what he had just said, as he seemingly sweated a bit just from the thought. It seemed like a lot of weight to bear again...
And then she placed her hand on his shoulder. And she was already telling that he had found what he wanted to do... Well, he wanted to be liked and popular! Trusted in all ways! but in the end which way he would go about it was a whole different question. But the last tip from the queen, was equivelant to a hit below the belt. "Ya-Yamato no what now?" Problem of being american, and not being that interested in mythologies of other countries. Besides, he only read comic books for the most part, and whatever she was looked enough like a snake to him!
In the end though... Kirk was kind of blushing and scratching his head. "Well, thanks for the lessons! I didn't exactly expect this from meeting you..." His head tipped a bit to the side. "Although, I kind of feel like a jerk for ruining your... sunbathing..." In that regard it was like winning the lottery with somebody elses ticket. He scratched his head harder, trying to think of some way to make it up to her. "I mean, if you don't want to be interrupted, you could always take the sun in on the roof, I think! Some folks back in the city did it, and there is still day left!" First offer was a suggestion! But it didn't feel sufficient... "Uhm, Uuuuh...! Maybe... would you need some heavy lifting or something!? NAH, you are a dragon snake or whats-its! of course you don't!" Eventually He just kind of gave up, looked towards her in an awkward manner, as he cringed. "...What would you like me to do, before you put me back down from here?"
