Words: 460 One of the many perks of being a Pro-Hero was for the most part, Izanami Ryū was her own boss. Yes there was technically a Hero Association overseeing all the government sanctioned Pro-Heroes, but the most she usually saw of them with bi-monthly inspections or an occasional email. Most days she stuck to her own schedule, which while diligent, was quite flexible. The Tokyo Police Department was doing joint training this week with the neighboring Yokohama Police Department, and as a result the city currently had an overabundance of law enforcement. This meant it was the closest thing Izanami would be getting to a vacation in the foreseeable future.
This meant one thing, a chance to be lazy. Izanami was generally extremely diligent about pretty much everything. From training to paperwork, to managing her personal finances. Her mother said it was her father in her, her father said the reverse. Regardless she'd been raised to always on top of things, so any time she got some genuine peace and quiet was a welcome change of pace. So for this particularly glorious day, Izanami had decided to work on her tan. Making her way to the nearest park to her upscale apartment, the voluptuous young woman wasn't wearing her Hero Costume for once in her life. Dressed in a loose purple top with her own Pro-Hero symbol stretched over her chest, with a simple pair of black athletic pants covering her lower half.
When she arrived at the park, Izanami found herself a comfortable spot not far from the walking paths. She set down her things and unraveled a beach towel on the side of gently rolling hill. Spreading her wings wide the woman pulled off her top and pants, revealing a dark violet bikini that left very little to the imagination beneath. Izanami took a seat, retrieving several bottles of sunblock from her purse and coiling one of her serpent tendrils around one as she held the other in her hands. Her hands handled lotioning her front half, where her snake-like tendrils did her backside simultaneously. Only once she was truly satisfied that she wouldn't get burned did Izanami finally recline onto her back.
Sunglasses on, wings soaking in the warm sunlight along their leathery membranes, it felt divine... though it did make Izanami rather sleepy. "This is the life..." She cooed to herself, stifling a yawn as she closed her eyes. The next thing she knew she was dozing off, arms crossed beneath her head like an impromptu pillow as she fell asleep. Her serpentine appendages withdrawing within her body to slumber as well. Truly, today was going to be one of much needed rest and relaxation. And nothing was going to change that. ๑

Kirk didn't watch TV too often. Most of his freetime unsurprisingly went into hanging out with friends or doing sporty things. But the times he did, it was usually him watching some sort of sports competition (lately a lot of baseball), or the news, which usually led into his grandpa being a little bit grumpy about some different topic each day. This time it was this footage of this lady with a quite revealing outfit pretty much strangling a couple of presumably petty thieves and offering them to the police with classic heroic charm and charisma. Kirk thought it was cool, but his grandpa obviously glanced at the boy with judging eyes. "If only everybody followed the same degree of clothing as most of your class would... This sort of bimbos give law enforcement a bad name!" "Well, uh... atleast his quirk is good for the job?" "Pfeh, of course that's where you are looking." Kirk looked at the name on the screen... Dragon queen. Simple yet effective! Like Super slugger was!
Admittedly, the image of the heroic dragon lady had given him a bit of inspiration. Apparently as a hero she was quite new, yet somehow she was already getting some publicity. Heck, even he was pretty known just by being a big student in the top three! So, that just meant that he had a way bigger chance of being on TV even back home, once the studying part was taken care of. In a way it was like watching somebody, who would end up eventually being on a baseball card being well on the way there. But in the end, He himself still had schoolwork to do, and it would quite a while before that was done...
But with the weekend, who cares! It was time for a good old warm-up jog for the day, before he would go playing with his pals again. His grandpa luckily didn't need much coaching. Apparently there was going to be some footage about police training on TV, which he was very curious to stay and watch without Kirk around to make him miss a beat of it. This lead Kirk into running outside through his usual route: Through the park over to the central over to U.A. It was a semi long trip, but it had always woken him up before he reached the school. And that was the important part. Othervise he probably wouldn't have been able to survive the early mornings.
The sun was shining on top of him, making the workout burn that much more on him, as his pace kept going through the park. There were some others hanging around, doing their own thing. With warm day like this so close to autumn, it was bound to excite people into doing things to relax. Kind of like Kirk was doing right now in his own Kirky fashion.
However, as he was looking about, over in the suns direction he saw a silhouette that grabbed his attention. He was used to looking mildly towards the sun whilst trying to catch baseballs coming his way as he placed his hand over his eyes to get a better look. It was a bit shadowed silhouette of a woman, with these snake like tendrils rustling on her back as she proceeded to lay down on the grass... The sight was very familiar! And eventually it locked in to an option in his head! "Is that... Dragon queen!?" He said out loud to himself as he took off back to a jogging speed towards the figure.
"HEY! EXCUSE ME!" Kirks hand sank into his pants pocket, as he pulled out a small notebook. He had started writing one for his workout progress with his quirk being much more in use. However, now his mind was filled with the determination of a card collector, wanting an autograph. But of course, he had to make sure, that the person was dragon queen! And what better way to go and ask them yourself! "ARE YOU THE HERO FROM TV!? THE QUEEN!?" As he ran towards her, her figure started becoming a lot clearer, as Kirk started to see a lot more detail than he was propably expecting...
He briefly stopped... "...Are you on some kind of guard duty?!" He proceeded to jog again. Admittedly, she seemed to be wearing something way slimmer than regular clothes...

Words: 580 Izanami had been day dreaming about the Hero Office of her dreams. Instead of a cramped office buried within the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Headquarters, this was a real Hero Office, befitting of Dragon Queen. A sprawling penthouse lair situated on top of a skyscraper. A huge Dragon Queen symbol was emblasoned on the side of the building, which had several helipads and an elevated sky pool. Izanami was there at the ribbon cutting ceremony, along with her siblings. Forming the newly christened 'Team Dragon' the Mayor and many members of the media were there for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Dragon Queen was handed the ceremonial over sized scissors, and was just about to make the fated snip when suddenly she heard someone screaming at the top of her lungs.
The young woman was immediately jolted from her sleep, startled by the sudden shouting. Her serpent tendrils flared out instinctively, hissing and snapping their jaws as they scanned the area around her. Izanami shot upright, hands raised defensively purely out of fight or flight reaction. Her bleary eyes glanced around for the source of the noise, and she lifted her sunglasses from her eyes to help her adjust back to the light. What she ended up seeing was some teenager running at her, notebook in hand. "Oh... just another fan." She said under her breath, silently relieved she wasn't under attack. That relief quickly shifted to annoyance. Did the kid really have to scream that loud? Sure he was excited, but she'd clearly been asleep. No matter, Izanami loved the attention that being a Pro-Hero brought her, and she was a known crowd-pleaser.
Izanami winced slightly when the teenager proceeded to shout at her open getting close enough to converse, she swore his shouting actually got louder as he got closer. Still seated, Izanami addressed the boy in a stern, almost motherly voice. "First, please settle down there Tiger. I know it's exciting meeting your heroes, but you don't need to scream in my face. I get enough of that from Villains as is. Second, probably, lots of Pro-Heroes are on television." She paused, giving the boy a sultry grin. "Shame none look as good as me. And third, Queen was a band from the eighties. I'm Dragon Queen, it's a big difference." She added sarcastically, before slowly rising to her feet. When she did she arched her back, stretching out her wings and beating them several times as she held her arms over her head. "Mmm... that's better." Izanami said as she withdrew from her stretch, working out the stiffness from sleeping on hard ground.
A puzzled look crossed Izanami's face, when the kid asked what she'd been doing. "Guard duty? What!? No?" She replied simply, mind still foggy from her nap. "What would I be guarding, this is a public park. I was also asleep for the record, before someone so rudely shouted at me." She added with a wry smile. "No today's my day off; even Pro-Heroes need a break once in a while. Yokohama police are in town for yearly joint training, so crime is on the downswing for the moment. I figured it was as good a time as any to work on my tan before summer ends." Izanami pointed to her sizable bust, giving the teen a skeptical look. "You didn't really think I was on guard duty wearing a two piece bikini did you? I'm not even in my Hero Costume." ๑

Kirk proceeded to answer the heroes command, by smacking his fingers onto his forehead with a loudish snap! "SORRY! ...I mean, sorry." Even outside of the classroom, he kept getting people calling him out for being too loud. One of the problems of just being excited. With the dragons now out and hissing at him, this time he had maybe gone a bit far. However, when she brought up that many heroes were on television Kirk had an immediate counter! "Well, naturally I wanna meet them too! But you are here currently! You handled those criminals like they were punching bags yesterday!" Admittedly, Kirk could do that easily too. It was just that he was only allowed to do it in self defense for now. Problems of being a student.
However, then she proceeded to open her wings up, so much so, that Kirk outright needed to step back a bit! "Woah!" Admittedly, wings weren't that rare for forms for quirk owners, but seeing it in action right in front of his face had Kirk giving a small clap and a cheer! "WOO! Looking great as you say!" However, apparently she wasn't working here currently. Just taking a bit of a break from her duties. Kirk scratched his cheek. Admittedly, he was here to just relax too so, it shouldn't have been that surprising to him. "Oh yeah, my grandpas watching something like that currently..." Made sense that the villains were kind of having a break too. Nobody would have liked to be invaded by 200 cops!
However... Then Kirk made the connection that The Dragon queen was pretty much spelling out for him. Honestly, having seen her outfit on tv, his grandpa had been all about the fact how revealing it was. How old suits were better. And now that Kirks mind dropped the idea that she was in that suit, his eyes started scanning her again, as he looked more downwards and... well naturally, being a boy his age, his eyes immediately went on the jackpot she pointed at, the bouncy bits covered only by a bikini top... and going lower, it was just that much more surprising that he had been able to keep his eyes away! For some reason, when his thoughts were turned upside down with it not being a hero suit, it suddenly made Kirks blood go to his head, as it turned bright red! And naturally, when Kirk lost his cool...
"W-wait... You're IN A BIKINI!?!?" Kirk took a big step back again, as his voice reached insane volumes! His hands dropped the little notebook, as he slapped them over his eyes as quickly as he could. "I'M SORRY! I ASSURE YOU, THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN! I JUST SAW YOU HERE AND THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO GET AN AUTOGRAPH, YOU KNOW!" The previous reactions he had had with him diving into situations like these had usually the folks quite immeasurably angry about it, so Naturally Kirks reaction had turned into apology begging pretty much.
But this really caught the attention of some of the people closer to the duo in the park. "Hero in a bikini? Did you hear that?" "I'm not sure, it came from over there..." People were turning their heads towards the awkward big guy hiding his eyes, and the dragonic lady in a bikini. Whatever the situation was, it could lead into weird conclusions from someone out of the situation. The boy should probably get silenced soon somehow!

Words: 850 Izanami quickly resigned herself mentally to the fact that she was most likely not going to get back to her sunbathing anytime in the foreseeable future. While she did appreciate her fans, even she had her limits. Though she was much too vain to simply tell the loudmouthed teen to scram. "It's fine Darling, apology accepted." Izanami said nonchalantly, inspecting the clawed nails on her hand. She smirked, shaking her head at his remark. "So the only reason you want to meet me is because it was convenient for you? I can't say I'm not a little hurt Darling." She was being sarcastic, though she didn't make it too obvious. Izanami just liked plying with overexcited fans, especially when they stumbled over their own words.
She grinned ear to ear, beaming with pride at the boy's idle compliment. "I am, aren't I?" The dragoness said with a haughty chuckle; she adored having her ego stroked. "Yes I think the joint training is televised. Should be on one of the public broadcast channels." Izanami added nonchalantly, dismissing the idea with a wave of her hand. This was all dull to point out, though her remarks about her own bikini had quite the opposite effect. The boy damn near looked red as a tomato. It made Dragon Queen giggle to herself. "I take it you like what you see?" She said in a seductive tone, bouncing her enormous bust lovingly with her hands.
Unfortunately the teenager resorted to screaming again and her sultry gaze quickly faded back into an annoyed expression. "Yes of course I'm in a bikini!?" She shouted angrily, finally beginning to lose her cool. "How else do you expect me to sunbathe? This isn't Europe, we don't exactly have nude beaches. We're a very conservative society!" Izanami exhaled sharply, breathing out two jets of thick black smoke from her nostrils as she literally let off steam. She reached down, picking up the teen's notebook and dusting it off. "Sorry to lose my temper there Darling. Hell hath no fury, etcetera etcetera etcetera..." Izanami said dismissively, averting her eyes as she half explained.
"Hmm?" Izanami said, turning to see a small crowd of people headed her way to investigate the boys yelling. They immediately recognized her and began taking photos. She just shook her head and gaze the teen a side eyed glare. "My adoring fans... I just can't go anywhere without running into some of you." She said, her comment highly tongue in cheek as she posed for photos which she knew would likely end up first page on several popular magazines. A dragon themed Pro-Hero with big tits wearing little more than a two piece would move magazines like nobodies business. "Of course I have time for autographs." Izanamu said to her adoring fans, taking a pen from one eager fan and anything that needed signing in the other.
"𝒯ℴ 𝓂𝓎 𝒶𝒹ℴ𝓇𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝒻𝒶𝓃... ℒℯ𝓉 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒻𝒾𝓇ℯ ℴ𝒻 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝒽ℯ𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝒷𝓊𝓇𝓃 𝒷𝓇𝒾ℊ𝒽𝓉. - 𝓓𝓻𝓪𝓰𝓸𝓷 𝓠𝓾𝓮𝓮𝓷" The curvaceous and scantily clad woman wrote on each and every autograph in expert penmanship well rehearsed by countless autographs. She even held a second pen in the serpent's mouth over her right shoulder so she could sign two things at once. When she was finished she gestured to the crowd to get their attention. "I love you all my Darlings, but this is something of a day off for me... If you'd be so kind, I'd like to get back to relaxing." Some of the crowded murmured in disgruntled tones, but most were compliant and eager to meet her demands. Gradually they dispersed, once more leaving Izanami along with her loud mouthed fanboy.
"You..." She said menacingly, turning back to face the teenager and looming over him, serpents hissing and snapping their fanged jaws. "Have been a complete thorn in my side... ruining my morning and killing my hopes of sunbathing before they even began." Her face was very close to the boy's by this point, so much so he could smell the sulfur on her breath. Sadly no toothpaste or mouthwash known to man completely masked that part of her Quirk. Izanami just glared at him for a moment, before quickly pulling away and giving a nonchalant shrug.
"Oh well. That's life I suppose, sometimes you just get rain on your parade." She said nonchalantly, seemingly over the disruption entirely. "We were all young admiring teenagers once, though when I was your age we didn't have Pro-Heroes to look up to. We couldn't just walk up on the street and meet our idols; I try to keep that in mind whenever my fans get a little too fanatical for my tastes." Izanami still clasped the teen's notebook in one of her serpent's mouths, casually tossing it into her hand as she opened it to the nearest empty page. She still had a pen in hand, and gave the boy a sly smirk. "So, what's your name Darling? Tell me who I make this out to..." Izanami said casually as she began to write in the notebook. "𝒯ℴ 𝓂𝓎 𝓁ℴ𝓊𝒹ℯ𝓈𝓉 𝒻𝒶𝓃. 𝒴ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝒽ℯ𝒶𝓇𝓉'𝓈 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝓇𝒾ℊ𝒽𝓉 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝒸ℯ, ℯ𝓋ℯ𝓃 𝒾𝒻 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝓂ℴ𝓊𝓉𝒽 𝒾𝓈𝓃'𝓉. - 𝓘𝔃𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓶𝓲 𝓡𝔂𝓾̄" This one she signed much more personally, including a hastily sketched copy of her Hero Symbol for good measure. ๑

Kirk had never been exactly great at big speeches, which weren't somehow sports related. In that regard, it was easy for him to mess up little things like that on occasion. However, praising others was usually what he was good at, no matter the target. The problems in that, came down to what he was praising. And with the lady in front of her outright proceeding to push those targets forward, it didn't help Kirks embarrassment about the situation whatsoever. "I-I THOUGHT YOU WERE WEARING YOUR SUIT! A-AND I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE SUNBATHING!" Heck, she decided to bring up nude beaches too, and that made him almost so red, that his skin could have been used to invent a new color scale for it.
However, her timing to apologize couldn't have come at a better time. The fans of her flocked around her taking pictures and autographs like candy from her. This gave Kirk a little bit of time to calm down about his very awkward interaction, as he huffed, and cleaned some sweat off his brow... Only for some of the fans to notice him too. "Hey, it's the guy from U.A! The semi-finalist, the loud guy!" "Oh, Kirk Bluster?!" "Give us the homerun swing!" "uh, Yeah! That's me!" He gave a wide awkward smile, As he lifted his arms like he was holding a bat, and swung them through the air! After getting their gift from the actual hero, somebody who was probably the closest thing to another one right next to her, seemed like a perfect 2 in 1 deal! Now, of course, Kirk wasn't exactly big photo material. He was wearing just his usual jogging clothes, shorts and a T-shirt, but still, his name on the paper was to be appreciated. "A big guy like this gotta stand out from the crowd, no?!" "YEAH!"
Of course, what to write on the paper aside from his name, was a bit of an issue... but hearing the little prose that the dragon queen was writing, meant that it had to be a bit inspirational! "Drink your milk, and remember your daily workout! Kirk Bluster!" Exclamation points included. "Thanks, BRO! Tell Tetsuko and Darren to come out like this once in a while!" "I'LL TRY! They are a bit tough lads for that though!" Darren was a punk, and Tetsuko was way too serene for this sort of thing... In that regard, Kirk held onto his brocode. "No selling out bros."
However, the smell of charcoal soon hit his face, as the dragon queen was clearly angry with him. Kirk outright pulled his body back a bit, trying to avoid that angry gaze. "S-Sorry, that really wasn't my uh... intention!" So, this is what those criminals felt like before getting strangled. The snakes coming from her back were certainly way scarier when the target was yourself... But, she proceeded to calm herself down pretty quickly, making Kirk sigh a breath of relief. And yeah, listening to her, maybe America was just the way more fanatical country, when it came to this sort of thing. He rubbed the back of his head. "Well, doesn't mean I should you know, go around shouting like that. Bad habit, towards anyone I know!" He was clearly trying to keep his head from looking downwards in dangerous places to make him turn red again.
In the end, he was finally gonna get his autograph. "Kirk bluster! Class 2-C in U.A!" Man, her handwriting was so fancy compared to his... As she offered his notebook back, he grabbed it and her free hand to shake on it, as he leaned a bit forward in apologetic bow. "Thanks, Dudette! I mean... Dragon queen! I appreciate this a Lo-!"
And then there was a flash. Kirk blinked, and turned towards it, seeing one more guy with a camera, as they looked at the picture they had taken. "Perfect! That will make for a perfect front page!" He proceeded to put the camera in his bag, as he seemingly thought aloud. "I can already imagine the title! 'Dragon queen not afraid to be bold with the hunkiest of students!' Gonna sell like hot cakes!" And he was already walking away too.
Kirk was dumbfounded. "Uh... Is that normal? Should we stop him?" Kirk was sort of sweating bullets. Now, for a more "I'm in danger" reasons, than "this is awkward" reasons.

Words: 1,350 "In what universe would this be my Hero Costume?" Izanami blurted back in response, shaking her head at the audacity of this teenager. "The Hero Association places regulations on the amount of skin we can show you know. A micro-bikini is way below the limit." At this point it wasn't even worth arguing, nothing was going to get through to his skull. Though Izanami was mildly surprised when the fans took an interest in motormouth as well. 'So he's from U.A.?' She thought to herself, finally placing a face with a name. Right, Bluster, the sports kid. She was kicking herself for not putting two and two together sooner. Why did all of these U.A. Students all have to be so... eccentric? Were none of them normal? She mentally shook her head, as if she was one to talk. That said Izanami did not go through private schooling screaming at the top of her lungs. At least if he went Pro he'd have a great voice for announcing himself to both Villains and his fans. Though Izanami wasn't keen on the details of his actual Quirk, or if it even correlated to his constant shouting. When it came time for his autograph Izanami wrote in the boy's name and class into a gap she'd intentionally left in her writing. Though she did have to squeeze it in a bit, she hadn't accounted for him wanting his class in there as well. "Right, well I'm always happy to meet a fan Kirk. You just need to learn that just because you're outside, you should probably stick to your inside voice." She was trying to be tasteful and mature in how she told him to shut the hell up. Only then was there an errant camera flash. "Hmm?" Izanami said aloud, as she and her serpents turned their gaze to the bushes. Immediately Dragon Queen's eyes went stricken with rage when she realized what'd happened. "Paparazzi..." She growled under her breath, as Kirk began to freak out again. "It's normal for me." She said coldly. "And I shouldn't stop him..." There was a slight pause in her words as she bared her fangs. "But I will." Springing into action, Izanami kicked off the ground and leapt into the air, wings beating quickly as she picked up speed. The photographer walking away didn't notice, at first. Dragon Queen's body began to grow and elongate, her tail becoming thick as a tree trunk and twice as long. Her limbs became squat and power, fingers and toes becoming powerful claws. Her serpentine tendrils burst forth like a writhing mass of heads and necks as they swallowed up her head and came to dominate her shoulders. The paparazzo realized something was up when a vast shadow blocked out the sun. He turned in confusion, only to have his expression quickly replaced by panic. Izanami crashed to the ground in front of him, having transformed into her formidable dragon form. Eight huge dragon heads, each with a different array of horns, spikes, ridges, and gem-like scales glared down at the man as she planted herself in front of him. Longer than a city bus, and twice as heavy, the ground shoot like a small earthquake throughout the park as twenty thousand kilograms came to a sudden halr. The eight headed leviathan leaned closer, its heads practically encircling the poor photographer as they arched out from their shared shoulders. "And. Just. Where. Do. You. Think. You're. Going... Little. Man?" Each head spoke a different word of the sentence, giving the dragon's speech a disjointed pattern almost like a musical round. It was several octaves deeper than Izanami's, barely recognizable but still distinctively feminine with a guttural, reptilian nature to her tone. As she spoke cinders and embers fell like spittle from her maws, fizzling out before they reached the grass. The man fell only his back in fright, paralyzed with fear. Dragon Queen's heads simply exhaled plumes of smoke from their nostrils as they breathed. "I...I...just wanted a hot story." The photographer said in a stammering ramble. "Oh? Is. That. All? Pardon. Me. Then." The dragon growled back, once more speaking in its strange communal inflection. Then without warning she swung around her tail, slamming it down behind the man hard enough it left a deep trench in the soft grass. "DO. YOU. TAKE. ME. FOR. AN. IDIOT!?" She growled at the photographer, heads leaning in so close the man could feel the fiery heat of their sulfuric breath. It was like standing downwind of an active volcano. Sweat began to bead at his forehead, and not just from anxiety. "If. You. Wanted. A. Story. You'd. Ask. For. An. Interview." She informed the man, calmer than her previous statement. "You. Planned. To. Sell. That. Off. To. The. Highest. Bidder. And. Fabricate. Tabloid. Drama." She added, snapping her jaws as the writhing mass of heads jockeyed from the best view of the hapless photographer. "Alright! Yes, I did... I was. Please Dragon Queen don't hurt me! I'll do anything!" The man was practically groveling for his life. Fear tended to do that, as he simply forgot the creature he was dealing with was a woman sworn to protect his life. Albeit, a very, very angry woman. "Delete. The. Photo." She growled back the man in a commanding tone. He quickly reached into his bag, grabbing up the camera and frantically tapping buttons on its display. "T-t-there. It's done. It's gone." He said, nodding his head as if to reassure himself. "Show. Me!" She ordered, and the man turned his camera around to show Izanami the display. One of her center most heads leaned in close, tilting to the side so its large dinner plate sized eye could see the comparably tiny screen up close. The man thumbed through his gallery, revealing no incriminating photographs... of her at least. The head snorted in satisfaction before withdrawing. Dragon Queen then lifted her tail, allowing the photographer a chance to leave. "If. I. See. That. Photo. In. The. Tabloids... You'll. Wish. You. Hadn't. Lied. To. Me." Her heads said to the man, coldly, barely blinking as they stared him down. He just nodded sheepishly, it was all he had the composure to do. With that taken care of, Dragon Queen slowly turned around like a lumbering behemoth, careful not to hit the man with her tail as it swung around. "I. Can't. Even. Take. Up. A. Sidekick. Without. Parasites. Like. You. Trying. To. Tarnish. My. Reputation..." She mumbled loudly to herself as she stomped her way back towards Kirk. This was a complete fabrication, but she wanted to leave the man with some story to parrot if he had to. This one, was significantly less damaging to either of their reputations. When Dragon Queen approached where she'd been, she reached out a huge paw and scooped up both her personal effects, and Kirk in one careful scoop. Clutching him in her paw, haphazardly in between a towel, her purse, and her gym bag, Izanami took a running sprint forward to pick up speed using the relatively open space of the park as a runway. "Come. On. Sidekick." She said coldly. "We're. Going. On. Patrol..." The upper half of her heads looked forward, as the lower half of them glared down at the now tiny teenager clutched in her mitts. It took a lot of momentum to get her dragon form airborne. It wasn't like her humanoid form where her wings let her fly or hover from a standing position. Her dragon form had mass, and size. Physics were against her, and like a jumbo jet taking off she needed about a track field's worth of 'runway' for a good takeoff. Her massive wingspan beat quickly, lifting her body into the air as Dragon Queen took to the skies. Gaining height until she could comfortably glide between the towering skyscrapers of Tokyo, beating her wings only when she needed to gain a bit more altitude. Poor Kirk still held firmly in her scaly grasp. ๑

Yup, the critique he got was familiar. "You know, I get that a lot." This goofy smile grew on his face. Honestly, if this had been the end of this meeting, he would have probably surprisingly alright with it. But the situation changed almost immediately after the paparazzi had taken his chance to take just a little bit awkward picture, with a lot of potential. And it was clear in her expression, as Kirk asked if he should be worried about this... And her answer was that this was something neither he or she really should do. And with that, she lunged forward, pushing herself forward with her wings. Kirk looked, as this lady with a memorable figure, suddenly grew a long tail... but it was only the start. She grew in size, and the heads on her back moved to the front, as she chased the paparazzi...
And slammed down in front of the man with a loud thud. This wasn't the form he had seen on tv. This was something else entirely. Kirk had previously fought a t-rex of a teenager in the sports festival. He knew what it was like to stand in front of one of these things... And of course the paparazzi was now laying down before her in mild panic. As to be expected. In that regard, Kirk felt a little bit anxious... Just watching this scene, it didn't really feel that heroic. But on the other hand, it felt like she had a reason to do so. The problem was, that it felt almost disproportionate to the situation.
Admittedly, the way she was growling and commanding the man, made him want to step up and say something. To say that he had already learned a lesson! To tell her to back off! And he did say one thing! "Hey dudette! I think he got the point!" He doubted it helped. But honestly, his gut just needed to get it out of his system, with all these insults thrown towards the guy. "It's not like he stabbed us or something!" Watching it just made him think of those speeches on tv, with quirkers allegedly being superior to non-quirkers, and that was uncomfortable in a whole different way.
However, eventually, she did turn away. And referred to Kirk as a sidekick on the way out of the conversation, catching Kirk off guard. "...Sidekick?" His volume was way lower as he said it. He was positively befuddled... and then he was scooped to go with her, grabbed in her arms, as she did a liftoff. Kirk couldn't help but dangle his feet in continued confusion, just wondering what had just happened. The fans down below waved towards the duo. Some outright said how "That super slugger is a real lucky dude, ain't he." Kirk of course was too high to hear and react to that. And soon, high enough that he didn't like it whatsoever.
Handy thing about how loud he was, was the fact that she could probably still hear every word he said. "If you are bullying me for saying what I did, sorry! It Just, gave a bit of a weird feeling in my gut, as you said all that stuff!" Kirk could of course free himself at any point. She wasn't holding him that hard. But who would want to fall from the skies from this height. "...I do get now what you meant by saying what you did!" It definitely felt like something that would only lead into bad stuff for her if anybody saw it. And honestly, he could have imagined somebody seeing it. Somebody had to have with her size.
Just imagining Darren with him in this situation made him think of a joke about "the biggest dunk ever"... Although in this case the dunk would end up being more of a crater. Of course that thought lead him into making the classic mistake of looking down. And honestly, it just made the next question he had become way more urgent on the list. "So uh...! Where are we going?! Some other place to take the sun in, and you can drop me off at?!" On the other hand, there was the other question that pretty much formed a question mark over his head. "...That, and I don't think I am allowed to be a sidekick! Gotta graduate first you know!"

Words: 1,085 Izanami turned a head to look back at Kirk as he spoke. She huffed at his naivety, exhaling a jet out of smoke and cinder from her head's nostrils. There were precious few things in this world Dragon Queen valued more than her image. She was not regarded as a diva by many for no reason. Her head turned back to her unfortunately victim, barely acknowledging the child's words.
"Sidekick." She repeated the words, each head speaking in unison as she grabbed Kirk in her claw. When Kirk spoke again, apologizing for his actions, the serpentine dragon just chuckled from the lower heads that were obseving him. "Bullying. You? Hardly. You. Overthink. Things. Apology. Accepted. Though." She said to him with a fanged, grin from four heads, a stern scowl still painted on the other four. As she flew Izanami scanned the streets below, hoping for some kind of criminal activity for her to vent off steam. She found her answer as she soared through the winding skyscrapers of the financial district.
An armored car was racing down the street, chased by no fewer than half a dozen police cars. The back doors were open and one Quirk wielding Villain was fired acidic sludge from his hands at the road, creating oil slicks that melted the tires of the police cars unfortunate enough to drive over it. Another stood on the roof of the truck, throwing up a purple force field of some kind when the police attempted to return fire and shoot out the vehicle's tires. Perfect, Izanami thought to herself. She picked up speed and raced ahead of the fleeing vehicle.
Dragon Queen banked hard, landing on a building rooftop trotting on three legs as she slowly down. As she came to a halt Izanami let go of Kirk, dropping both him and her personal effects down on the otherwise empty rooftop, giving him a front row view of the action on the streets below. "Watch. My. Things. I'll. Yell. At. You. More. When. I'm. Done." Izanami said in a commanding tone to Kirk, before quickly turning and leaping off the side of the building. She let out a bloodcurdling chorus of booming roars as she did. Her wings spread wide, and she dive bombed off the roof of the tall office building headed for the streets.
Izanami picked up speed, banking hard and kicking off the ground hard enough to leave crated footprints from her combined weight and momentum. Her timing was perfect, as she transferred vertical momentum into horizontal force. Leading with her right shoulder, Dragon Queen tackled the runaway armored truck, knocking it off balance and causing the driver to over correct his steering hard to try and keep control of the vehicle. The top heavy truck tipped over onto one side, skidding across the pavement as its metal chassis sparked along the ground.
Izanami landed on all fours, rolling her shoulder a bit from the impact. That would be sore tomorrow, those armored trucks the banks used were practically tanks, just rolling slabs of steel with wheels attached. Her heads turned to face the truck, as it slid to a halt, spilling sacks of bank notes onto the street like confetti. The police cruisers began rolling up behind Dragon Queen, coming to a halt, lights flashing as the officers watched the Hero at work. Izanami began slowly walking towards the disabled vehicle, as the sludge throwing thug pulled the driver out through the window. Their force field wielding companion had thrown up a bubble to shield herself as she was thrown from the truck. She was picking herself up off the roof of a parked car, a circular indent pounded into its roof from her shield's impact.
"You ok Boss?" The sludge thrower said in a concerned voice. The man looked like the muscle of the group, he was big, broad, with a square chin and the body of a man who practically lived in the gym. His hands had black markings from the elbow down and what looked like exhaust ports on the palms of his hands.
"Yeah...I'm fine Quagmire... just dizzy." The leader said, shaking his head as he tried to shake off what was likely a concussion. The leader cupped a hand to his mouth, turning to shout in the direction of his comrade. "Yo, Aegis you still breathing?" He called out to his teammate. As he did his free hand touched the side of the truck, absorbing its properties and turning his body into seemingly solid steel.
Aegis sprinted back towards the other two, "Yeah I'm fine Subsume. How you two holding up?" The woman asked her companions. She had a build similar to Red Horn, tall and broad for a woman. She looked like a power lifter, with violet colored energy crackling from her hands and eyes.
"We're fine." Quagmire side, turning his attention to the dragon staring them down. "Who the Hell is this?" He said, concern showing in his voice even as he tried to look tough.
Izanami had been waiting for that, she did so love an introduction. "I. AM. THE. HYDRA. HERO: DRAGON. QUEEN!" she thundered at the top of her lungs, stomping a foot and issuing the three a challenge. "Sworn. Defender. Of. Justice. Symbol. Of. Peace..." The dragon's many heads all smiled, a wicked, fanged series of grins. "And. Your. Time Is. Up!" Dragon Queen finished her speech with another ear piercing roar, loud enough to rattle glass in the vicinity. When her gaze returned to the trip there was a fire in her eyes and cinders dripped from her maws onto the concrete below.
Quagmire took a step back, visibly shaken. "Boss?" He asked, looking at his companions.
Subsume was cracking his knuckles, before throwing up a defensive stance. "This bitch means business. She's even got an epithet." He said through gritted teeth, trying not to show his concern.
"I don't even know what that is and I'm worried." Aegis said under her breath, hoping the Hero hadn't heard her. Her leader just looked at her like she was an idiot. Meanwhile, Dragon Queen was through waiting any longer. The television crews were arriving, and she'd stalled long enough with the theatrics. Izanami charged forward, moving in a serpentine gallop, mouths opened wide as the light of her fire could be seen pooling in the back of her throats. The explosive battle between Hero and Villains was about to kick off. ๑

Kirk wasn't still sure what this hero was planning, but seemingly she did accept his apology. Although seeing such a weird way to smile (you don't see such an obviously half and half grin every day) did make him wonder if she really did accept it. "W-Well, that's good!" For now though, guess he could just keep his mind on enjoying flight. Kirks quirk didn't exactly allow him to do that. It was more akin to "falling with style", since he launched himself high with the pouch on his back. It did help him get higher, but he didn't really have a good way of changing trajectory afterwards... In that regard... this did give him a taste of what someone like angel felt when they were in flight. Some things were just too rare, that's what they were.
However, as she saw a car, some sort of chase scene happening maybe, She proceeded to speed up. Kirk could feel a bit cold with all the air smacking in his face at this point! "BRRR!" But with the sudden break, came the drop off to a nearby buildings rooftop. The hero proceeded to give him a bit of an earful, telling him that he should take care of her stuff, and that she would soon come back to lecture him. "Righto!" He snapped his fingers onto his forehead. Probably a surprisingly chipper reaction to being commanded, but that is how he just was. With that, She just dove down, and started doing the criminal catching.
Since he was pretty much stuck, There was not much for Kirk to do, but observe the happenings down there. He couldn't hear much, but he could certainly hear Izanamis bolsterous cry of heroism. In that regard, Kirk was certainly excited. But, observing it, Kirk couldn't help but feel a little bit... awkward.
Come to think of it, he hadn't fought against an actual villain yet. He knew about Darrens funky escapades, but those had gotten him to big trouble almost. That and fighting criminals just casually was considered outright vigilantism. Of course, he had certainly become way better at fighting, with his quirk control better than ever, even better than back at the sports festival. But was there something bad about him feeling bad towards that paparazzi? In that regard... would he be able to run so bolsterously towards these villains trapped in their situation?
Well, for now, that didn't really matter. He may as well keep watching and see how a professional did it...

Words: 1,305 Kirk and his intrusion on her day was a distant concern in Dragon Queen's mind now, so long as he didn't manage to loose her stuff. Her change of clothing was in her gym bag as well as her Hero Costume. Izanami had exactly zero incentive to remain in her Dragon Form until she got home, lest she be seen publicly in the nude. For now though, sixteen amethyst eyes glared in fury at the three Villains standing before her. Dragon Queen let out another thunderous roar as she charged forward. The villainous trio braced themselves, leaping out of the way or so they thought.
Different heads looked in different directions as Dragon Queen closed in one the three. They might have tried to seperate to surround her, but she could fight more directions than one. Two heads opened wide and unleashed a torrent of violet flames on Aegis. The woman threw up her telepathic barrier, straining as she held the flames at bay. "Shit, she's strong!" She cried out, sweating profusely at both the mental strain and the heat she felt even shielding the bulk of the fire.
Subsume dodged a head with surprising agility. "No shit! Quagmire melt the dragon bitch!" He said as he reached out and grabbed the jaws of the second head sent against him. He struggled, holding the jaws opened as his eyes went wide with fight. He looked directly down the barrel of a loaded cannon, as the light of Izanami's flames built in her throat and washed over the man. Only the steel he'd absorbed into his body protected him. But he was quickly starting to heat up, risking damaging his internal organs.
Trying to save his comrades, Quagmire held up his hands and shouted at the top of his lungs. "DIE!" He screamed, unleashing a spray of acid from his palms with the force of a fie hydrant. It struck several of Izanami's heads searing her scales and exposing raw burnt skin. She roared in pain, swinging around quickly and slamming the man with her tail. Quagmire was sent flying end over end, coating his path in acid before colliding with a car. He lay on the roof of it, holding a hand to his head as he head as he nursed a concussion. He barely had time to open his eyes and register what he saw. "WAIT NO!" The man shouted, raising his hands defensively as Dragon Queen's long tail slammed down on him once more, crumbling the center of the car and knocking him thoroughly unconscious.
"Quag no!" Subsume shout, legging go of Izanami's jaws and rolling out of the way. "You'll pay for that." He said through gritted teeth, kicking off the ground hard and throwing himself at the wound his friend had dealt. The man of steel grabbed onto the side of Izanami's injured neck, punching and kicking with his metallic limbs, as if trying to claw his way into her throat. She roared in pain, recoiling and thrashing her heads wildly to try and shake the man off. One head reached around, biting the man from behind and ripping him from her neck like a tick from an animal's back.
Dragon Queen threw the man from her grip directly at Aegis, who's barrier was still raised. She kept it up, as he collided hard against it, though still conscious. This didn't last long as the next thing either of the two saw was the writhing mass of heads plowing into them. Crashing into Subsume, who in turn crashed against Aegis' shield. It was too much for her, and the barrier gave out causing her companion to fly backwards ending up embedded in the roadbed. Izanami snorted from her heads, casting her gazes around the street making sure all three were incapacitated.
She reached a clawed paw out, first digging Subsume out of the shattered concrete, then scooping Aegis into her grip. Then she slowly turned, scooping Quagmire's limp body out of the ruined car while several of her heads licked the wounds on her acid burned necks. Izanami would be feeling that in the morning, but it was a small sacrifice to get these three off the streets. The three Villains were carried over to the assembled ranks of the police cars, and unceremoniously dropped in a heap by the nearest cruiser. The officer in question looked up at the huge dragon in awe. "Thank you Dragon Queen, we couldn't have done it without you." She simply nodded several heads, the others tending to her wounds while a solitary head had its gaze locked firmly on the rooftop she'd left Kirk.
"It. Was. My. Pleasure." Dragon Queen responded simply. Normally she was all for theatrics, grandstanding posing with her defeated Villains like trophies from a big game hunt. The media was hopping out of their vans, microphones and cameras in hand as they rushed towards her location already shouting questions. Normally, Izanami relished in the attention, shifting back into her humanoid form and treating the press to whatever their hearts desired. But, she was technically naked, and in no mood for these vultures just looked for a story. "I . Have. To. Go." She informed them simply, and unceremoniously the dragon began running the opposite way down the street. Picking up speed until it could achieve lift off again. Arcing into the skies, Dragon Queen gained altitude seemingly flying up and away from the crime scene. Once she was high enough she looped around a tall financial building, heading back towards Kirk's rooftop from the opposite direction they'd come from.
Izanami came in low and slow, changing back into her human form and touching down gracefully on the rooftop. Stark naked, her bikini shredded the moment she first changed into her Dragon Form. She used her snakes to cover her womanly bits, wrapping her wings around her curvaceous body like a cloak as she approached Kirk, or more accurately her gym bag. "No peaking, or you'll see me when I'm truly angry." She informed the student, rummaging through her bag until she found her Hero Costume. Izanami made sure Kirk was turned away from her before unfurling her wings and slipping the skin tight suit over her prominent hourglass figure.
The wings always took the longest, there were slits in the back of her costume for her wings to slide through, as well as for her serpent tendrils to emerge from. In her humanoid form the injuries she'd sustained carried over. Though it was only the necks of several of her tendrils that had been badly seared, not her own. Izanami retracted the wounded serpents into her body to let them regenerate in peace, before adjusting her snug costume so it fit properly. "There. Much better." She said, slumping down and taking a seat crossed legged, barely noticing Kirk as he stood there in atypical silence.
"That was so sloppy of me, I could have easily done that without getting hurt. I should have focused on that acid Villain, he was the only real danger." She said to herself, beating herself up for her own poor performance. Izanami's gaze looked up at Kirk, having almost forgotten he existed. "You're free to speak Darling. Just don't scream or I'll be tempted to see if you have a fear of heights." Izanami pulled her bag towards her, collecting up her things and reluctantly putting them away. So much for sunbathing. "So... Kirk was it? Tell me, what made you want to enroll in U.A.? What drives you to become a Hero? What's the inspiration guiding you?" Izanami asked sternly. So long as she still had him here she could at least grill Kirk with questions and assess if she saw the spark of a true hero in him.

It was a multi person fight. The big friend trio was facing against the big beast. Almost like in one of those cartoons he used to watch! Although, usually the monster was on the villain side of things. There was clearly desperation in the dudes, and no mercy was really shown on either side. Understandably more so for the trio, as they started losing slowly but surely. In that regard, it didn't really answer his confused thought. Technically, they had attacked her, and maybe multiple officers too of course... But just looking at them react sort of made him just feel like he would react like that if he saw someone like Darren or Tetsuko fall like that right in front of him. In that regard, it just made him even more confused about it... maybe he could ask her, as she rose up onto the roof? Yeah, that seemed like something he could do! And she couldn't TOO mad about him asking it, right?
Well, fortunately for him, it looked like the situation was handled, the villains in a pile and the police giving the giant hydra praise. Soon, she flew up, and Kirk proceeded to turn and walk towards the place where she was landing... "Hey uh, I was thinking, you got any trick for...!?" UNfortunately for him, it was this point, where she was changing back into a human, and made him realize she wasn't wearing anything! This time however, he pursed his lips shut, turned around, and pulled his shirt over his eyes, as Izanamis request rung out. "NO MA'AM!" Guess for now any sort of questions had to wait. He walked off a bit further. Thankfully, the only you could see from under the shirt, was his darkish hair poking out from the hole for the head. Othervise, it would have been a familiar sight of a walking radish.
Soon enough, he could hear her go 'that's better'. That meant that she was probably done putting clothes on. She proceeded to say how the acid villain was the only real danger... And then she allowed him to speak, which Kirk took as a permission to finally pull his shirt back down. "Nah, I ain't gonna be screaming. Seen ya a couple of times already!" Well, that's what he said, although he did feel a bit nervous about turning and looking at what she was wearing this time. It was her hero suit. The one he had seen on tv... Surprisingly, it was indeed easier for him to keep eye contact with it on. "It's even cooler live, than it's on tv!" Felt like an alright thing to say. "My suits way simpler than that." Albeit... it honestly did look like bikini but with all these fancy accessories the more he looked at it. That he wasn't brave enough to say outloud in the moment.
What Kirk wasn't expecting was her to suddenly ask him questions. And these deep big future questions too. "Well, uh..." It was clear he was thinking for a bit for once. His hand went over to his head, as he ruffled it for a moment, trying to put words together, before flopping his arms to the side. "You know... Being trusted and liked! That's what I want!" He raised his voice just a little bit from determination and excitement! "People recognizing you on the street, and immediately knowing that they are in good hands! That sort of stuff... I'd like to be like that!" He shrugged. "Admittedly, it's not like I would have been able to come here to study it, if it wasn't for my grandpa backing me up so... I want to make him proud while doing it!"
He however proceeded to point at her suddenly. "Kind of like you, you know! People flock on over and just wanna see you in the flesh! That's really cool to me!" He sat down on the side of the building and pointed at the police starting to drag the criminals into cars to take them to justice. "That and you guys just seem to know exactly what to do in situations like those! I wanna be trustworthy like that!" He leaned a bit forward. And shrug.
"T-Thats what I wanted to ask by the way!" He turned to look at her all of a sudden. "I guess for those guys it was as simple as you know... cops chasing them, but... How do you know whose the villain in a situation like uh... like uh..." Another break. He thought up something quick. "You know, you are looking down an alley, and see a guy with a bat surrounded by three guys with masks! How do you know which side is the guy who stole a thing they shouldn't have, instead of a guy down on his luck running away from a group of oppressive villains?"

Words: 810 Dragon Queen smirked at Kirk's hasty declaration he wasn't looking. "Good, that's what I thought." It felt good being back in her costume, one less thing to worry about. Purple on violet was such a preferred color scheme for the woman. In ancient times royals had lavished the color purple and associated it with rarity and nobility. It was this reason why Izanami felt it a perfectly befitting color for her. It perfectly suited her entire theme. When Kirk commented on her Hero Costume, Izanami gave a haughty laugh as she held a hand to her mouth. "Ohohohohoho, I'm glad you like it Darling. It was difficult to make. I needed something figure hugging and alluring, with an open back and a low neckline. That wouldn't tear apart and could stretch when I transformed. Thankfully there are a number of support companies now looking to sponsor Pro-Heroes with their products in exchange for endorsement." It wasn't often someone complemented Dragon Queen's Hero Costume itself, and she was more than happy to bask in the compliment. This Kirk was fast getting on her good sight, fortunate for him given her earlier episode. "I'm sure you'll adopt a more elaborate costume someday Darling. Once you become a Pro-Hero you'll have a much better idea what your needs are, and how to tailor a costume to your strengths and weaknesses. Case and point, mine is fire resistant for obvious reasons."Izanami sat crossed legged, listening to Kirk as he spoke about his hopes and desire, his drive and his motivations for becoming a Hero. Nodding quietly in a agreement as she listened, his heartfelt words reminded her of many of the same thoughts she'd expressed to her own father nearly a decade ago. It seemed in Kirk's case, his family had been much more receptive than hers. A smile crossed her face as he finished his speech, and Izanami clapped her hands against her knees as she sprung back to her feet. "Where to begin, where... to... begin. Well firstly, you have noble and admirable reasons for wanting to become a Hero. You want to see yourself as a role model, a pillar of the community. Someone children look up to and adults breath easier when you're around. You're motivated by your family's trust they've placed in you. Your motivations are selfless and pure, and it warms my heart knowing such good natured students are enrolled in U.A."Dragon Queen let out a long sigh, truly tomorrow did look brighter if these were the caliber of characters U.A. was enrolling. Good, it would reflect better on all Pro-Heroes if the next generation was so righteous. "We is a very loose term dear. I know what to do because I have nearly a decade of experience. I've been at this since I was your age, though I was a Vigilante back then, obviously all the current Pro-Heroes were. We didn't have any fancy high school, most of us didn't have mentors. There was a lot of trial and error back then... and we all made a lot of mistakes." Izanami grew very somber for a moment, looking wistfully up at the sky. "Some of us didn't get a chance to live down our mistakes. Others are still atoning for their failures. Sometimes the worst things are done with the best intentions." She left her reasoning cryptic, stories for another day perhaps. "In your scenario things aren't simply black and white. Grey on gray is obviously much more difficult, and there's a number of wars to approach it. If the parties involved haven't noticed you yet, sometimes it's best to listen from a distance. See if you can get the offending party to make themselves known, like a threat or an insult. Other times, a grand heroic entrance is needed. Loudly announce your presence, strike a heroic pose. See how they react, if one group looks relieved and the other looks concerned, you can easily tell who's on who's side. Most people won't fake their reactions to seeing a Hero if they're caught up in the moment." Izanami gave Kirk a playful wink, "And of course, the last option is to simply follow your gut. Learn to trust your instincts, they'll often serve you well. If something feels off, it probably is. If someone seems to be hiding something, they likely are. And if all else fails, peacefully detain both parties and monitor them until police or other authorities arrive. We are technically civil servants, we can't make arrests. But we can keep people detained until law enforcement arrives and let them sort things out. Personally, I try to stick to Villains and avoid petty crime. I leave that to police, since they aren't equipped to handle Quirk wielding threats. They can sweat the small in the meantime."๑

"Oh, so that's why...!" Kirk knew exactly what she was talking about when she mentioned their costumes needing to stretch. Of course, Kirks quirk was a little bit less drastic than hers was when it came to growth but she did have a point! Primary reason why she was probably naked after transforming... But since he wasn't allowed to see that, once again, he kept his mouth shut about it. "I myself uh, want my stuff to breathe! Nothing more annoying than tight clothes, when you are trying to run, you know..." He had to wonder how the suit Mari was making for him was turning out. He wasn't really sure if the design she had come up with was too weird in some regards... "Also, if I didn't need to change out of it, that would make it pretty good too!" Nothing more pace breaking than needing to change clothes in the middle of a situation.
But, honestly speaking, the Dragon queens attitude towards Kirk, had so noticeably changed, that even Kirk noticed it. Instead of whining and bullying him about his accidents, she was now outright praising, and laughing with him, as he answered her question. Guess he had answered it acceptably then! He started telling him what kind of hero he is almost like from a horoscope, and in some regards, Kirk was in full agreement, nodding along, and saying "Yeah!" occasionally. Although, when she got to tell him that his parents were at his back, his answer was a little bit more awkward "Well... I think they are now! Haven't got them to ask me to come home anymore after the festival!"
After all, Kirks parents hadn't been nearly as excited about letting him go to U.A. Although, it was more the fact that the hero school was in Japan, and they had jobs back in America. Very important jobs too. Which is why his grandpa had grabbed him along. The sheer worry from her parents about how he handled himself in a new country without them was weird... when He had spent most of his life with his grandpa anyway since he was about 6 years old. But, like he had said... "You do this sort of evaluation often?! you a teacher or something?" He was doing fine on that front now.
However, the more important part was his own question. And the first answer was sort of worrying. "Trial and error, huh?" He almost instinctively followed her gaze up towards the sky. "In that regard, I guess it's like knowing which pitch is foul, and which is normal?" Kirk always had a thing for comparing things to something sporty. And in that regard, it was again spot on. It was all about judging quickly in those few seconds you had, whether or not the person was doing things out of maliciousness. "I admit, I've never exactly been the judging type! Atleast I don't think I am. I accept folks into the sports club, whatever their physique is!" He did remember Tetsuko giving a really judgemental look towards Maxi still...
But she did bring up something he was good at! "Oh, if that's the case, there is no problem whatsoever!" He launched himself upto standing and gave a minor shout (for his ears atleast) while pointing at himself, and looking towards the sky. "HEEEEERE comes SUPER Slugger! How's that, hehe!?" However, the last tips she gave, were kind of classic stuff. Trust in yourself, or detain both targets, and let the police decide what's up. The more interesting thing was, that she was more of a big crime stopper instead of someone handling pickpockets... "You saying that would be better for me too?" He scratched the side of his head... "Admittedly, I don't think I could ignore if I saw somebody in trouble... Would just feel like a jerk in this profession, you know?" In that regard, he might not follow that tip...
However there was another question he still had. "So uh, One final thing uhm... You said you've been a Hero for like, 10 years... How long did it take for people to like... LIKE you?" Kirk thought for a moment. After asking that, it kind of felt like a very rude question to ask from a hero! "I mean like, I would hate if folks hated me for a long time after I graduate! I know my energy and voice is a bit of an issue sometimes, but COME ON! You yourself said its kind of a needed trait! Kind of like you turning into that hydra thing!" And it came out, the primary reason why he asked. He had to assume naturally that a form like the hydra doing things like back then with the paparazzi would not be initially very well received by the fans. For himself there was always the annoyance factor, which had been brought up countless times... But that was way more mild in comparison.

Words: 1,580 Dragon Queen ran a hand down the scaly patterned elastic material that made of her Hero Costume, giggling to herself at Kirk's comment. "Breathing is easy, just find a company willing to use the right material. I happen to like tight clothes, especially the way they accentuate my figure." Her hands trailed up along her curves as a coy smile crossed her plump lips. "Running isn't an issue either, you just need your costume to really be designed for you. It needs to work with our body, not against it. You'll understand someday, and if not, make friends with someone that does." Most of Izanami's advice was like that. Any time she needed something beyond her skill set she just met someone she could flirt with until they helped her.
When Kirk asked if she was a teacher, Izanami just placed a hand to her chest and let out a haughty laugh. "Ohohohoho... No Darling. I'm no teacher. I thought about it though, had a resume written and drafted to send to U.A. But... I figured there were much more qualified teachers than myself. My degree is in finance, not education, and I have no formal teaching experience." She hopped up to her feet, sashaying her way up to Kirk and ruffling a hand through his hair. "No, I just like taking stock of you 'future Heroes' whenever I can. I like to judge you myself, make assessments. No one is born evil, but no one is born good either. Both come from a number of factors; like your upbringing. In a vacuum most people are selfish, but benign. Have you ever seen a schoolyard fight? Think about how many kids stand around watching, and how few willingly jump in to defend the person getting attacked. Now apply that to society."
"I don't expect U.A. to be perfect, I expect a couple bad eggs get through. I've got a pretty good eye for sensing evil." Dragon Queen said, pointing to one of her amethyst eyes. "More importantly though, I want to see if you trained Heroes are going to be worthy of carrying the torch someday. You'll have big shoes to fill, and the idea of 'Hero Schools' are still largely untested. You'll have the eyes of the world on you, waiting for you to make us proud." Izanami threw up her hands in a shrug, beating her wings as she looked over the building at the police scene below. "And... you'll be out there working alongside the existing Pros. Stealing some of the limelight, carving out your own place." It did sadden Dragon Queen a bit that with each passing year Heroes were going to get more and more common. U.A. was like a factory, churning out competition for her. All the more reason to cement her position in the ranks.
Izanami nodded when Kirk said trial and error, she could see the obvious disappointment she didn't have a miracle cure all solution. "MMhmm... But I prefer to call it experience and good judgement." He followed up with a baseball reference, which threw her off slightly. "Suurree... whatever metaphor works for you Darling. But with practice comes experience. In time you'll get a 'feel' for things. That sixth sense that every Hero and Vigilante has. You'll understand me better someday, when you've got real world experience." She didn't know what else to say on the matter, some things could only be figured out with time. If you could teach good judgement in schools, teachers certainly would.
The dragoness was caught slightly off guard when Kirk did his grand heroic entrance. She actually clapped in excitement, nodding her head in approval. "I like it! You should roll your R's like a wrestling announcer, it makes it more dramatic. Maybe add a voice modulator on your costume so it sounds like you're speaking through the speakers at a sports stadium too!" Izanami was already awash with ideas. "I do like Super Slugger, I get your sports theme now. Also alliteration is good, rolls off the tongue well. I tried to think of a suitable 'D' Word to pair with Dragon, but none had the right feel I was going for. Damsel? Too needy. Duchess? Too formal. Diva? Too bratty." The woman shrugged and let out a sigh. "Eventually I settled on Queen, it seemed the best fit at the time." The truth of this was her brief story was mostly a lie. The reality was simply Izanami named herself in homage to her father's secret Vigilante persona.
Dragon Queen shook her heads, "No no no, that wasn't what I meant Kirk. I don't ignore people in trouble, but I do focus what crimes I go after." She pointed to her belt and tapped on a pouch. "I keep a police scanner handy, I like to put in an earbud and listen in one them as I fly around on patrol. If I hear anything that sounds like it needs my help, I fly in to save the day. That doesn't mean I ignore low level stuff, it just means I'm specialized in focusing on bigger threats the police can't handle."
She tapped a finger to her chin, mulling over how best to say it. "Ok, here it's like this. Every Hero discovers what they're best at. Some Heroes focus on rescuing people from disasters, some stop Villains with powerful Quirks, others work in the shadows to investigate crime rings and gangs. For example, do you know the Thread Hero: Artisan? His Quirk lets him control fibers of clothing. It's very useful for sneaking around. He can use it in close combat to make whips and lashes, he can tie up thugs, cover people's mouths, use it to climb walls and hang to ceilings. He does a lot of stealth because of this, sneaking around at night doing investigations into underground activities. It's easy for him to blend in, he can remake his clothes at will to assume disguises."
Izanami then extended out her wings, her tail swishing behind her and her undamaged serpent tendrils locking their gaze on Quirk. "Now... compare that to me. I can't sneak around to save my life. My skin is lilac, I'm covered in purple scales, I have big ass wings, it's not a sneaky look. But I can fly, so I can cover a lot of ground easily. I'm super humanely strong, I breath fire, I'm resistant to fire, I regenerate my injuries, and I turn into an enormous dragon. I'm no good for espionage, but you want me front and center in a fight. If I need something sneaky done, I'll call up Artisan to be my private eye. And if he is dealing with a Villain that uses fire or has super human strength, Artisan knows I'm a quick text away from coming to his aid." Izanami exhaled, that was a mouthful. "So yeah, you'll find your niche. All that matters is at the end of the day you're saving lives and doing the best job you can."
Dragon Queen took a seat on the building's railing, crossing one leg over the other as she listened to Kirk's final question. "Well, firstly. I wasn't technically a Hero for ten years. Up until the government started pardoning Vigilantes a year or so ago I was just that, one of them. I worked in the shadows like everyone else. We couldn't afford to be showy an grandiose with theatrics. The police and the government wanted us just as badly as the Villains. So 'people' didn't really get a chance to like me. Most didn't even know who I was. Obviously the people I saved thanked me, but most of Tokyo didn't even know I existed."
Izanami stood up from her perch, pacing around Kirk as she mulled further on his question. "That said, since going Pro-Hero, I think it took about... four months? Most of it is just building up a reputation. You have to start from the bottom and work your way up. It's like being a celebrity, you have to work on your brand. At least that's how I see it. Some of the other Pros don't like my style. They think I'm a diva trying to commercialize Hero work, maybe they're right. But I adore my fans, and I know they want to buy my stuff." Izanami gave the boy a cheerful smile, it betrayed how greedy she was. She say Hero work as an untapped market for media, a new frontier for the entertainment industry. And Dragon Queen wanted as big of a slice of that pie as she could get.
A graceful hand reached out and placed itself firmly on Kirk's broad shoulder. "Kirk, Super Slugger. No one is going to hate you for being a Pro-Hero, except the Villains. People might be envious, jealous, maybe even annoyed. But at the end of the day you're out there risking your life to save people, and that's a very admirable goal. I did say everyone needed their thing, and it looks like you found yours. For the record though, you should read your history books more. Yamata no Orochi was an eight headed Dragon, not a Hydra. When you cut off my heads two more don't grow back." While his ignorance annoyed her, it wasn't enough to truly peeve the woman. Not after all the things they'd discussed, the wisdom she'd tried to impart. ๑
