Tai had a couple of stops to make and some answers to get. Among his stops, was an old acquaintances home. Or maybe they were a friend? She probably wouldn't be too pleased to see him; he did leave kind of suddenly, but Tai had some personal matters to take care of in China.
The answers he needed here? Why the hell did she abandon his shop when he specifically requested she watches over it in his absence? He went through hell trying to clean the place up of both the dust and filth that had accumulated. He looked at his phone and viewed her contact information, double-checking to make sure he was at the right place. It also revealed several sent messages on his end.
Something was off. He didn't remember it looking quite like it did right now. Tai couldn't quite put his finger on what was so different. Nonetheless, he was relying on his memory to get him to his destination and damn was that a nostalgia kick.
Tai remembered the exact words she said the first day he met her and hauled over that heavy box of scrap supplies. He wondered what she did with that junk anyway. It put a smirk on his face. "Hmph." he audibly tried to disguise a chuckle. If she got all pissy for his disappearance, maybe he deserved it. Just a little.
The people were definitely different here, they felt a lot more... hostile? His status as a stranger seemed to threaten them or alarm them. As if they were wary of strangers. 'Well, there goes the neighborhood' Tai thought, probably having to add this to his list of patrolled locations. Entering the elevator, he pressed the number '5' and tempered his expectations. He was pretty sure she wouldn't let him in. For all he knew, she was ignoring him or she just flat out moved.
Tai remembered the exact deal he made with her and that silly little military salute she gave him. Slipping his hands into his pockets, he could've sworn he heard a door slam when the elevator doors opened. He tilted his head to look down the hallway and kept walking.
After finally approaching her door, he removed his right hand from his pocket to knock. He paused for a second, bracing himself. Who knew what was coming next? Yelling? A slap? Shit flinging?
*Knock.* *Knock.*

Kyoko had been sitting on her couch, some chopsticks in one hand and a bowl of ramen in the other. She was kicking her leg over the edge of the couch before notification after notification bombarded her computer before she visibly got annoyed. She stood up and checked her computer, oh what's this? Various tenants in her building had been talking about a man just casually walking into the building. What? Kyoko turned on the camera function for her computer and almost dropped her spoon. TAI? HE'S ALIVE? fuck fuck fuck seriously? Kyoko stood up and began to freak out. Wait, why did she care so much? So many things have happen since then, she felt like an entirely new person.
She originally thought he had died during Semper Fi, leaving the body shop to rot. But now he's back and walking up to her floor? WHERE WERE THOSE IDIOTS WHO WERE MEANT TO STOP THEM. Hell she was going to leave one NASTY message tomorrow to the rest of her group. She sighed and knew there was going to be a LOT to catch up on. Oh god, did he know she's oracle? Welp whatever too bad their promise was pretty much null and void, she had harmed plenty of people using her quirk now so that was a bust.
She messaged all her tenants at once to calm down, he was a visitor for her and that he meant no harm to them. She sighed, lord she was like a mother now..a mother with some real strange ass children. Soon a knock was at the door, great. She sighed and peeped through the peep hole to see him, yep that was definitely Tai and not a strange twin or something. She opened the door, putting her hand on her hip and a visibly annoyed face. "So you didnt die huh? Sure was nice hearing from you after everything went to shit in semper fi." she said leaning in on the door way. It was a bit needless to say that she was NOT happy to see him, well she was but she was not going to let him know.

Waiting at the door, he took a peak to his left and right, awkwardly fixing his jaw. Waiting sucked, but he heard rustling from inside the apartment. If that was Kyoko in there, she wasn't being very subtle. She probably could've just hid or stood quiet if she didn't intend to open the door, so he assumed this was a good sign.
The door finally opened and Tai managed to get a good look at Kyoko. She largely looked the same, just a little more annoyed. Maybe a lot more annoyed.
'I died?' he thought, having little to no idea what that meant or why she thought that was the case from the event. Then again, he knew very little about what happened at Semper Fi. He remembered going to the event, but he didn't really plan on going for several events like so many others. He wasn't around for the pandemonium.
"Well, I'm sorry you thought that." He said, realizing that was probably the wrong thing to say. He quickly added "I mean, I didn't realize that you thought I was the kinda guy to get mixed up in all of that." He lied, he was exactly the kind of guy to get mixed up in all of that, but Tai was never really proactive in his vigilantism; he was very... reactive. If he had been at the scene, he may very well have been a dead man.
"You... weren't mixed up in all that were you?" Tai asked, bracing himself for the answer. To be honest, he didn't quite know what 'all that' entailed.
"I had to take a short trip. I left you a message before I left you know. But I see you didn't get it" Tai added, he scratched the back of his head with his right hand while doing everything in his power to avoid having to apologize. It wasn't exactly a great excuse and if she cared enough, she would probably want more than that.
"So, you gonna let me in or are we going to talk about this in the hallway?" Tai asked, still blissfully unaware that it probably didn't matter if he asked to talk privately or in the hallway. He tried to take a peek around her into the apartment like any good vigilante would. Or maybe just like any old nosy person.

She blinked at him for a few seconds, sorry was all he had? Really? She pinched the bridge of her nose, wow he was a lot dumber than she remembered...or was he? She squinted at him giving him a rather confused look. "Where the hell have you been? You just ran off with the circus?" she said leaning on the door wondering what the heck he was doing all this time. So he had no idea of what ended up even happening at Semper fi? strange...Kyoko had assumed everyone in Japan knew of that horrific event. "Well no one there wanted to be involved. The government just began to arrest a bunch of Quirkers out of nowhere. but luckily, no, I wasn't there that day." She said to him. "I'd have probably died or be locked up in jail like the others who were." she said with a small frown appearing on her face as she looked on the floor. If she was there she probably could have helped some people.
He went on to tell her that he took a trip to somewhere, interesting, he left out the detail of where exactly he went. Convenient. She paused for a moment, putting her finger on her lip as if she was trying to decide if he should be allowed in or not. After all, he still had no idea who she really was. It was weird, she was Kyoko Hiromasa with him, not oracle. Only 2 people knew her actual name at this point, Mr Big Bad Ol Thunder-shock. Luckily she had just cleaned her apartment so all of that eternity stuff was put away or stored in her computer at this point. "Fine, but you're telling me about this trip of yours. I'm still crossed with you for just up and vanishing." She said as she opened the door and let the man in. When Tai walked into the apartment it would look extremely different than the first time he was here. The apartment had white marbled floors, a white couch it was like a studio apartment except there was 2 rooms on the east and west sides.
She moved over to the couch area, she was wearing a tank top and some shorts since she was in her own home. Kyoko lifted her finger and a table popped up out of the floor automatically. "I've had a little upgrade in this apartment since you were gone." she said smiling a bit to herself, it was nice to see Tai again. Not because of himself, that was just a bonus but because it let her see how far she's come. "This Apartment is synced up to my internal computer. I can control everything that's electronic in here now." she said with a small smile, it costed her a small fortune but with how well Eternity was doing it was going to pay it's self back in a small bit. "You want anything to drink?" she asked curiously as she plopped down onto the couch.

He shrugged, well the event had passed. He didn't know what the hell the government was doing, but if it had passed then it didn't matter to him now. "Sounds like hell." Tai commented with a shrug. "Nobody I know got hurt though," he added. Sure, it was a bit callous of him to say, but he would easily have jumped in to help someone if he were around. For whatever that would've been worth.
Tai whistled when he was conditionally invited in, surprised by the look of the apartment. He looked around the room; it was surprisingly clean. It was very 'white', so much so that it could've used a bit of contrast. Though, he was no interior designer. He stomped his foot lightly against the floor, just to check if it was real marble. "Sure, I can tell you about my trip if you really wanna know. But I don't think it matters too much." He concluded in his usual deep and raspy voice.
Tai took a seat on her white couch and leaned back. He'd be lying if he said it wasn't comfortable. "Sounds like a kids movie. Something about a house run by an A.I. that basically becomes obsessed with being the families mom." Tai said, responding to her being able to control everything in here. He didn't know if she saw that movie, but he forgot about it as he asked for a drink.
"Sure, got any Epsi Cola?" Tai asked, raising a hand as if he was accepting it already.
"But if you're really curious, I took a trip to China. I got news of some guys I used roll with being there." Tai paused. He didn't really talk much about the incident and he wanted to be a little cautious about his status as a Vigilante. Not that he didn't trust Kyoko, but... he valued his secrecy.
"For some context, these were the guys that torched my..." he paused, she didn't need to know what happened to his father and thus he omitted those details. "...my shop. Not recently, a long time ago. So, I went to go confront them. And to bust some heads." Even though he was supposed to be a good guy, he wasn't above getting revenge for what they did. He didn't kill them, but they weren't as pretty as they were before.
"That said... how'd you get all of this?"

"Lucky you, some of my coworkers weren't so lucky." she said remember some of the villains who had fallen during semper fi. Those dog's of the military shot them down with no remorse cause of one moron's orders. She wanted her revenge on the government for it but she knew damn well that she was not ready by any means. She still required more social power in the villain chat and more power in terms of her own quirk. It had always been relatively powerful but she knew compared to their tech they could probably beat her.
She snapped back to reality, Tai offered to talk more so about his trip. Interesting, her interest was peaked but she wasn't sure if he'd give it up so willingly. She could remember back during the short time she spent with him that he wasn't really one who enjoyed talking about themselves. But honestly asking him about his past before was already like trying to rob a bank so she didn't even bother that attempt, she remembered the last time. She did however smile at his stupid comment about the A.I house "Well I take offense to that, im sure im much more advanced than that silly movie~" she said "But I was a fan of it at one point." she told him, letting him know a fraction of her past, she had her own demons to keep hidden.
As he told her that he wanted an Epsi cola she opened up a screen console and typed a few things, a few seconds later a little table with a wheel came over and presented a cola to Tai. "You like it? I bought it brand new, I made friends with an engineer who made him custom for me, i call him Boopler" as the little robot let out a boop noise at it's name and raised his arms. As he talked about his past she was a bit surprised that he was willing to share. Oh? He was violent? Sound's like he went to beat some ass from his statement. "Interesting, I didnt take you for the type to go take revenge with your own hands like that." she said with a small smirk as she sat back into the pillow behind her and she hugged a second pillow in front of her as she crossed her legs. Soon he asked her where she got all the money for this stuff, oops. She never had to explain where all this tech which probably costed her an arm and a leg ( which it did) came from, she couldnt remember what she told him last time "Well, my mother passed away...and when she did she left me her fortune. When she did I bought the entire apartment building from that lady you met last time. Now I own the entire thing and I bought this stuff with all the rent money and savings." she said fabricating a small story, well the mother passing away was fabricated. but she did buy this apartment with her money! Also thunder's money but that's just a minor detail.

For a moment, it had gotten a bit quiet. She seemed to zone out; she an all too familiar look on her face. His guess, she was thinking about the people she lost or something far worse. But he wouldn't probe her about it, he didn't like talking about his own problems and far be it from him to pry.
"Oh? Sorry to hear that." Tai added, not sure what else to say. It was hard to lose people and he knew that from experience. He smirked and stretched out, slouching into the cushions. He smirked and crossed his arms, sneaking in a little joke.
"More advanced, well you always seemed pretty basic to me." He shrugged, well aware of the game he was playing. Her reaction may vary, but oh would there be a reaction.
Tai reached for the cola after and the friendly little guy that boop'd and waved. "Well look at that. That's pretty neat. Where did you get one of those?" Tai asked, assuming it was store bought; though he didn't know any stores with something like that. Or maybe she built it, he never did ask what she wanted all those junk parts.
"Or was this why you were collecting those parts?" He promptly asked. He looked it over, examining it. Anything visible on the outside he was kind of capable of figuring out, but he was no engineer - so who knew how this thing worked.
Shrugging off her comment about him taking revenge; he couldn't help but thing maybe it was a little low. Then again, after what they had done - they had it coming. They were more lucky that he hadn't outright killed them, but Tai wasn't a killer. However, the thought did cross his mind.
"Yeah, I get it." Tai listened to Kyoko talk about losing her mother. He could sympathize in a way. "That's how I got my shop. It was my father's." He added before uncomfortably changing the subject.
"But I never would've guessed you were a rich kid. I want to make a point of adding that your renters seem to be pretty aggressive. It kinda felt like I was gonna have to fight my way up here."

She turned her head back towards him, he just called her basic? Really? If he was a villain kyoko wouldn't have even hesitated to try and slice at him, but Tai was a civilian. Plus who knows how hard that robot body of his actually is. She wondered for a second if he was still shy about his quirk, he shouldn't be. At least around her "Oh, ha ha. Very funny and creative." she said with a sarcastic look on her face. She wondered what about Tai had changed, he seemed more comfortable.
Or was it Kyoko who changed? She was much more serious than she used to be, oh god she was the dumb blonde before. Oh wait he was talking to her. "Boopler? Uhhhh." she said taking a moment to think about it, she had wondered where exactly she had to explain where boopler came from. "Boopler was made by me. I had someone else teach me when you left and they had some higher end parts." she said telling a straight up lie she had one of thunder's connections make a robot for her and she built the A.I for it. She still was not very good at making stuff with her own hands. Boopler's little light turned pink and he rolled off as if he got shy as they talked about him. "Oh look what you did,you made him shy." she said playing around.
He went on to finally divulge some information about himself to her, something he seemed to always dodge doing. However he pressed her further, talking about her mother who was not really dead. Well she was dead to kyoko at least "Yeah, no one would really know. My past life is dead to me." she said "I only have myself, and dont mind them. They're just extremely protective of me." she said letting him know about them. " I worked with a charity that supports ex slaves, they pay for them a small sum of money to help them build a new life for themselves." she said telling only a half life. They ARE ex slaves, but kyoko bought them herself from thunder and then released them so they became loyal to her and were her eyes and ears on the streets.
Someone casually walking into her building without her notifying them was sure to cause some side eye glares and angry faced. What if he was a threat to her? They had never heard of him before but she hadn't notified them that he was not a threat so they never jumped him. So now it was time for business, what did he want from her? Well no use guessing "Ok so, what exactly do you want from me? You made a trip all this way to just ask me what happen to the shop im guessing?" she asked a little annoyed, Kyoko's a busy woman. Not that he knew that really but still she was annoyed that he just popped back into her life.
