all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ The nerves did one thing right, they could not keep Hanako quiet, as there was so much to do and so much to wait upon hearing from the government, her friends and the company that was selling the gym that she had found with G a few days ago, she wanted to have answers immediately, what did you mean waiting time? But that meant that she would learn how to do something else if sitting still was too difficult. That meant that she had to find something to do and if she would go out of the house, she would be giving G more time to take care of Kai on his lonesome without her butting in every second, which made her real nervous but she did not want her fiance to know. He already had an anxiety attack before, so why would she try to make that worse.
It was late in the morning on a Sunday that Hanako read something in the blogs that she was scrolling over with her tablet. Something about a new VR game at the Elysian Garden's arcade. That might be something for Haruuhi, they played games right? Did Miku not tell her during Christmas and had she not bought games for them at that time. She could not remember, and she looked at the mood ring that Miku had given her, oh well, it showed the dark black colour of nerves... which was easy explained. She decided to go upstairs to Haruuhi's room, who was staying over the same as Miku for this weekend. "Haruuhi? Do you have any plans for today?" She held up her tablet in case the girl opened the door and came to watch what she meant. She still wasn't sure how they were now but she sure thought their bond was a lot better now that they spoke honestly and that she had called her mom, not that she wanted to point that out in her face. "They have this escape room as a virtual reality game, I wondered if you want to try it with me?" The description of the game was a little vague but that did not matter, she would try something to do for Haruuhi, especially now that she and G got back together, it was better to do something fun instead of being reminded of the bad things.
G would be on baby duty, bottles were in the fridge, she could have a two hour break for now, right? |

Now that Hana and G were back together, Haruuhi could finally relax… at least a little bit. She had been so wound up since they broke up, stressed about anything and everything that Haruuhi had picked up more than a few nasty habits. The most prominent of those was alcohol. While she didn’t go out as hard as she did when the two weren’t together, she did still take to drinking almost every night.
She didn’t go crazy, but damn shutting off her quirk just enough to let her get some good sleep was absolute bliss… it was like a high that Haruuhi just couldn’t get enough of!
This was one such day, Haruuhi found herself sleeping in after drinking just enough to reach that point, smiling as she snuggled comfortably into her pillow, all warm and cozy within her sheets.
*stomp stomp stomp*
The house wasn’t exactly very quiet, and Haruuhi both heard Hanako’s footsteps, along with the approaching radio signal that was her tablet. She yawned widely as she sat up in bed, lazily scratching the side of her head where her messy red hair lay in tangles around her. As she heard Hana reach the door however, an empty can of beer caught her eye and Haruuhi very very swiftly jumped off of the bed and kicked the can underneath it where it would hide with the rest of the junk metal she had been gathering for her projects.
At that moment, Hanako walked into the room and started talking to her about a virtual escape room she had been reading about, and it took Haruuhi a few seconds to really catch up with what Hana was saying since she was still waking up.
“Hm… unh?”
She asked as she then looked over at the screen. Hanako played the preview for her and Haruuhi’s eyes lit up.
“Yeah! I heard about that place but I never thought about actually going to try it!”
She exclaimed contently, still a rag tag mess of pajamas and messy hair.

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She had knocked, believed she heard a sort of come in and opened the door to peek at the girl who seemed as if she had just woken up and Hanako simply raised her eyebrow. Maybe she had lost track of time with her son and not being able to sleep in anymore but it was at the end of the morning, quite a time to sleep in. She said nothing about it and oblivious about the girl her drinking habits. "Morning to you, you should open a window here, it's such nice weather." But she did not immediately waltz over to open the curtains but went to show her the tablet with the virtual escape room.
She turned to look up at Haruuhi as she was showing her the explanation on the tablet as well as the pictures of what they could show you and she played the preview for Haruuhi because she wouldn't be surprised if she was simply bad at explaining something and the preview would help her a lot. She wasn't sure if Haruuhi would push her away like every teenager potentially might do, but she was really trying hard. She exclaimed that she never thought of actually going. "Does that mean you rather not go or that you want to go?" She got a bit lost in the talk of Haruuhi, once the girl said that she wanted to go, she ushered her to get cleaned up and get dressed and that she would prepare her some breakfast and reserve a spot at the arcade. She would take her tablet downstairs to talk to G that they would leave for the afternoon for a few hours. When she came with G, he was holding Kai, holding the baby boy carefully in his arms. Since Kai couldn't play with his hair like he does with Hana's. G would just extend his index finger over to Kai, so the boy could grab his finger and hold it. As he was spending some nice quality time with his lil son, he heard someone coming. He saw that 'someone' was Hana. She spoke to G how she and Haruuhi would leave for the afternoon for a few hours. Most likely to hang out with each other"That's cool" G said and then turned to look at the baby.He was fine with that. Now HE gets to spend some alone time with Kai for once. G wondered when will kids start actually like crawling around. "The baby bottles are in the fridge okay," She said and she kissed G on the cheek quickly by tiptoeing, "I bet everything be alright but call me if you need me." She left the living room to go and make Haruuhi some breakfast before they would be able to leave. Yes, everything would be fine, she convinced herself. |

"What? No no no I do want to go! But like? Right now? Oh god, okay... I just have to... yeah exactly."
Hanako had told her to get cleaned up, and that's exactly the point that Haruuhi was trying to stumble her way too. She needed to shower and brush the shit out of her teeth. If she was going to be in a closed room with Hana, she couldn't exactly smell like she'd been drinking. It had been about 12hrs though, so how much could she smell at this point?
Hanako offered to make her breakfast and Haruuhi would bumble a thank you as she gathered up her clothes and darted for the shower. She tried to make it quick, turning the heat up to scalding, washing out her messy hair, scrubbing herself so hard that her skin turned red and brushing her teeth like a madman. Hell, she even flossed and gurgled that nasty listerine breath killer stuff! When she got out of the shower, she smelled like a fresh damn daisy!
She promptly got dressed into a pair of blue jeans and a cute tank top covered by a thicker red vest. She tied her hair up into a pigtail while still wet then rushed downstairs, not wanting to make Hana wait too long, or make them late! This was going to be so much fun Haruuhi was basically bouncing off the walls with excitement~!
Haruuhi was smiling brightly as she walked into the kitchen to the sight of G holding Kai, and Hana making her breakfast. She was a little hesitant about getting anywhere near G considering everything that had happened between them... would be still be able to pick up on the scent of booze, even after that deep scrub? She'd been so careful after their last encounter… she hadn’t been able to kick the habit fully… finding the sweet embrace of booze’s silence far more enticing than the inevitable slap she got from G. Still… in time she’d get over it, but for now she just had to be careful.
“Morning…”
She said to G hesitantly before walking over to the table and sitting a safe distance away from G, even though he was holding onto baby Kai. She returned her attention to Hana, smiling once more at the thought of the invitation to go to this virtual escape room thing.
“Hey Hana. what made you think about the Escape Room anyways?”
She wondered aloud as she waited patiently for them to start getting ready to leave.

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ The way Haruuhi spoke had made Hanako a little lost and she tilted her head and asked if this meant that she wanted to go or not wanted to go. But Haruuhi quickly and kinda excitedly corrected herself or Hana's thoughts and went to say that, yea, she had to get dressed and stuff. She gave her a polite smile and watched her go towards her bathroom while turning around and heading down the stairs to make her breakfast, now that wasn't the most difficult thing in the world.
When she got downstairs she bumped into her cute little son and G and well to be honest she did not want to leave their side but no, it was time to pick up where she left of in trying to form a bond with the other two and with Miku she had worked in the garden last week and now it was Haruuhi her turn and well luckily she bumped into the article. She was working on an easy sandwich when Haruuhi already came downstairs and she was surprised how quickly the girl was. She even turned her face to the clock on the wall, before turning her attention back to Haruuhi, "I made you a sandwich." Was all she could say and she checked if she was done before she pushed the plate a little closer to Haruuhi so she could eat. She herself still had to pick up a few things, put on proper shoes and her jacket before she was actually ready to go and her eyes quickly went to her little baby but she mentally shook her head again, they will be fine.
But she was glad to see Haruuhi so excited, "I am almost behind, I should quickly get my purse and stuff before we leave, but eat your sandwich." She wanted to walk away when Haruuhi asked her how she came to think about the escape room. "To be honest, I was reading a blog about it and I thought you might like it and thus I went to ask you and well here we are." She smiled, "I follow a lot of stuff to figure out what is cool nowadays or new and well it could be fun." She felt like her explanation was dumb but it was the truth, that's how she kept up with the outside world, and yet she had missed the festival where G had taken her towards but that was now beside the point.
She let Haruuhi eat her breakfast and get her right shoes, her purse, one mobile (which still was a weird feeling) before ending up back in the kitchen. "I claimed a room in about an hour and I asked for the taxi to be here in about twenty minutes, is that okay?" She had taken that in the meantime when she went upstairs to get her stuff, her eyes again drifted towards Kai, oh she did not want to leave without him but she could do it. |

Haruuhi nodded as Hanako explained how she's gotten info on the escape room. Honestly it was a fair answer, if this was 2 years ago, Haruuhi would have been doing the same thing. She would look at page after page of useless click bait on the internet or look up local events and stuff just because she couldn't sleep, and what else was there to do in the wee hours of the night?
"Oh right, that's true"
She said simply as she reached for her sandwich happily and began to munch on it, her smile still spread from ear to ear. If she wasn't a tad bit scared of G right now, this setting would be like it was out of a dream for her! It was just missing Miku. Where was her sister anyways? As she munched away on her sandwhich, she would send Miku a text using only her thoughts.
<< Mom and I are headed to an escape room! I've been so wrapped up in robodogs upgrades this weekend I can't remember if you were at the house of back at the dorm... sorry, if you want to come you better hurry! Moms called a car over already >>
She texted her sister as she would then chance a glance towards G and Kai. Her gaze didn't last long on G, instead looking to Kai and smiling gently. She couldn't believe she had been scared of him coming into the world... scared that he would replace her. Sure they spent a lot of time with him but he was a baby after-all, and not like she needed their constant attention. She was just happy to have them around and to have them care about her.
"hey boy~ we're really going to have to give you a proper name soon hunh."
As Haruuhi finished her sandwich, the large mechanical dog she had created came walking up to her, nuzzling it's head on her lap as it looked up at her through lensed eyes. She pat the dogs head before standing up then crouching down in front of him.
"You'll stay here and keep an eye on dad and Kai okay? I don't want anymore spies getting close to them."
She would whisper to the dog as she reached back into his scruff and under the metal plate of his back. She flicked a switch then booped his nose and sent the dog off without another word. She would then walk passed G and Kai silently to find out if Hana had found everything she needed.

Miku was in her room being really bored and just surfing the internet and looking at a uTube video she is mildly interested in. She was just bored and didnt know what to do. Her parents were with Kai and Haruuhi was with robodog. She was just solo, bored and might as well be sleepy when she just yawned now.
Suddenly her phone vibrated and she looked and saw Haruuhi's text
"Whoa whoa whoa, WHAT!" Miku said and quickly typed
Miku: WAIT!!! DONT LEAVE ME!!! LEMME GET DRESSED!!!!
She quickly sent that to Haruuhi and quickly went to get her clothes. Why? Because she was dressed very homey and casually and stuff. Actually its best not knowing how Miku is even dressed when at home, because she was raised by G. Miku grabbed some clothes and rushed out of her room to freshen up before dressing up and leaving. Miku then quickly ran to the door, hoping that Hana and Haruuhi were there
"DONT LEEEAAAVE ME!!!" Miku yelled in panic
G meanwhile shushed Kai to keep him calm and protected his ears from Miku's panicked loudness. G probably realizing a feeew parenting mistakes he did on her.
Miku meanwhile just hoped to see Haruu and Miku.

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She had not really thought about Miku, not in the sense that she wasn't around but Hanako had thought to do something with Haruuhi, as she sometimes did something only with Miku but suddenly the girl came storming down the stairs and Hanako stared at her with a surprise in her eyes and turned to look at Haruuhi who patted the robot dog that they or well she had. "Oh, I didn't know you wanted to come too, but sure." She would quickly send an email after the reservation that they would be with three instead of two and she smiled at Miku anyway, "The taxi can be here any minute, are you ready?" The question was more to the both of them at this point and she checked her own bag, but she was sure she had anything as she checked it a few minutes before as well.
She quickly took a few steps to G and Kai and kissed her son on the forehead and her fiance on his cheeks. With a pained look in her eyes she said goodbye, seriously two hours Hanako, you can do this, she told herself and she went back to the foyer and opened the door so the girls could go outside already. Indeed there the taxi was just arriving, "Right on time." She said with a happy smile, okay just focus on the girls, this will be fun. She nodded to herself, closed the door behind her, trying to not look if G was maybe in the hallway to say goodbye because she might sneak back inside to kiss their baby goodbye another time but she should not, so she got outside and spoke shortly to the taxi driver and ushered the girls inside if they had not done so and took the last seat, they would go to the Elysian gardens to have fun, surely. |

When Miku texted back that she was coming, Haruuhi was genuinely caught by surprise! The two sisters barely got any time at all to spend together like this. Normally, the two girls would just meet at night in their dorm rooms, catch up a little bit then drift off to sleep. It was a nice thought to have her sister come along. She definitely tried to drag her feet at this point, giving Miku time to catch up to them outside moments before the group crawled into the cab to head to the escape room.
"Sorry, I thought Miku would love to come with us."
She apologized to Hana quickly before Miku showed up. When she did though she smiled brightly at her sister before scooching over and making place for the girl to sit next to her.
"Good timing Miku! Have you ever been to one of these? I'm super excited, just a heads up this is going to be super weird for me with my quirk... it's going to probably feel about 5x more real to me, but I'm ready for it!"
She stated confidently as she pulled out her phone, looking up the escape room and grinning widely. It looked so freaky and scary... this was probably going to be tough on her to be honest, but she was ready for the challenge. She knew this wasn't real, so any sense of danger she felt was false... She needed to learn to manage those fight or flight feelings now too, so who knows this could do her a world of good.

Hana was surprised that she wanted to come alng. Haruuhi then explained that she wanted Miku to come alng since they actually barely spend time together. Miku nodded "Mhmm, its true! Even though we're sharing a room, we barely get to spend time together like this"
When Hana asked if they were ready, Miku happily nodded. When the taxi came, the two girls sat back as they soon drove away. Miku looked back and saw G was holding Kai and waving bye to the girls. As they drove around Miku and Haruu chatted, with Haruu asking MIku if she ever did this
"Well, I played this video game once that was about characters trapped on a ship, and if they wanted to progress they'd have to go through a numbered door which would lead them to an escape room. Once you solve the escape room you were free to explore another area of the ship. And well, I'll stop there since the story only gets more convoluted." Miku said "But yeah, thats my only experience with escape rooms. I never been one for real. Thats why I was super excited to come along" she looked at Hana "I hope you dont mind"

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ "Don't worry, I simply thought it might not be Miku her thing but if it's than I don't see no problem." She looked from the redhead to the blonde and gave a smile, she really thought about just bonding with Haruuhi but she absolutely did not mind to take the other girl with her as well, and apparently it worked out fine with the reservation too. She looked a little surprised that they didn't spend time together, "So what are you both doing so often if you only meet up at the evening in your room to sleep." And heads up: Hanako had definitely not read the description of the escape room correctly, she thought some fun detective story as that's how the blog had described it but she would see when they arrived.
She shook her head, "Girls, why would I mind to spend more time with either of you, I always feel like a bore not knowing what is hip so to say and what you like to do. Do you both know how difficult it was to find nice Christmas gifts, oh December for me feels around the corner and I haven't have the slightest idea for this year." She teased the two of them but it was also nice to do something with just them and not spend all her attention to Kai, albeit, she missed him already and looked over her shoulder to the window but she could not see them, not even with her glasses on and she turned her attention back to her lap, her phone with a picture of G and Kai as background was okay, the other picture was Haruuhi and Miku but the lock screen was in the way of that. She wasn't sure what to say now and hoped the girls would continue talking because it surely was nice to simply listen to them tell her things. The smile would not go away from her face, for now. |

"haha yeah, sorry I don't mean to be MIA so often. I've been busy with a new tech project I've been developing. When it's done it's going to be aaaaaaaaaaaawesome!"
She explained to Miku with a bright smile on her face! This tech she was developing was on it's own level! She'd never attempted anything like it before, but got the idea when she had watched Kenshin fight back at the hospital. He had been able to transform into his hero gear effortlessly, removing the waste of time or hesitation a Hero would feel by not having a means to quickly change. This could be a major flaw in hero society, and one she planned to fix! Of course it was still a long ways away from being completed... but at least she was close to having a working prototype.
She would listen to Miku speak about her experiences with escape rooms and brought her hand up to her chin in thought. This was like... if you yourself were in said videogame. you would actually be moving around and interacting with your surroundings in hopes of escaping the room before time was up. She had never done one before, but she had read all about them in the past. They intrigued her and looked like a hell of a lot of fun. Especially t his one since it had the added bonus of tech!
Haruuhi couldn't wait to get started, nearly bouncing up and down in her seat as the taxi took them to the Escape Manor. As they drove, Haruuhi would answer Hanako's question though, probably channeling a little too much enthusiasm into her explanation of absence.
"Okay okay I'll tell you! I've been locking myself up in the tech lab at school working on a new project. I'm working on micro bots that will alter the appearance of clothing and armor. I won't go into the specific details of it, but it's basically like a portable wardrobe. Hit a button and I can switch out of my school uniform and into my Hero Suit in just under a minute! It's sturdy and flexible, meaning that - blah blah blah tech blah blah cool "
On and on the redhead would talk about her new project, going into every little detail even though she stated that she wouldn't. She was really proud of her work so far and wished she could show Hanako and Miku now... but she didn't have the device ready to show off yet. That was such a bummer.
As the girl seemed to talk endlessly, they finally made their way to the Escape Manor, the taxi pulling over to let the 3 girls step outside. Haruuhi skipped out, her heart pounding with excitement as she beamed up at the building.

Miku was just hyped to be there, she always wanted to try a real life escape room. Haruu then spoke how she is making some cool gadget gizmo thing. Which just reminded her how she is now inthe Support Studies. Yeah that class seems to fit her more then the Hero Class, still though Miku missed having her in 2B.
"Wow, the stuff you make is so cool!" Miku said to Haruu excitedly. Both of the girls were hyped to get here. And then when the taxi eventually arrived, both of the girls quickly got out as if they had lightning speed.
Miku let Hana to lead the way as she was the responcible and reasonable adult. All Miku could think how excited she was, she'd be in an escape room with Haruu and Hana, and they would have a great time. There was nothing to go wrong. And this was it, so far and yet so close. Miku would glaldy tell the two girls fun stories, but nothing was as cool as Haruu's gizmo gadget story. Any plant or school stuff paled in comparison, besides Miku currently had a one treck mind, which was this escape room hype. That was all she was thinking of.

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako was just zoning out while trying to keep up with the conversation, listening to what Haruuhi said about what she was trying to do, she absent-minded nodded. No idea what the whole technical shebang was about but she was sure about it. She had no idea how the school worked or what they learned and maybe it was high time to speak to them about it because of the little ideas that she got from it, it was maybe considered embarrassing that she as their future parent if they would see her that way would not even know. Without much of Hanako's attention they apparently arrived at the Escape Manor and she stepped out first and looked up at it, well here she would go. She was the first that took the steps towards the building, letting the girls in before following. She walked to the reception and said she had reserved a room for two that she recently changed into three. The girl behind the desk mentioned Hanako's surname and said they would have to wait a bit for the instructor to come and give them information before they would be able to go. She pointed to a bench where the three of them could sit on before the instructor came. Another young person, this time a guy and he greeted them enthusiastic, "Hi how nice of you to come by, I see I see, so a team of three, now you get an hour to escape the room in which we will bring you soon, the room is directed to a virtual reality room, so you will get glasses for that, the space will be the same and it synchronizes with the other two glasses so you will be able to not bump into each other. You will get small tasks to perform to get answers in this mystery to be able to get out of the room at the end, if you don't make it within the sixty minutes we will simply open up the door for you, the record time for someone to break out is fifty-six minutes, so if you can, try to beat that! Are there any questions?" Hanako doubt that with Haruuhi around they would have too much difficulty, but she hoped the girl would try to do this without the use of her quirk, besides the two of them must be smart enough right? She would just be there for the bonus or something like that. She shook her head, Hanako had no questions. |
