● waiting, waiting... i fall asleep She made a zooming sound, albeit very softly, as she ran through the park, her mother this time with her, holding a picnic by themselves so she would not get lost, tangled into the mess of the bushes and so on, albeit she avoided those in her play by play action. She tried to imagine how the next scenes of the Animal Rescue Team movie would go, because they were getting a movie! The tight schedule would be horrible and she wanted to enjoy every free minutes she had with roaming around outside, doing whatever she wanted. She was now playing out a potential scene where Glinda was in trouble but trying to run away, her new temporary ability in the movie would be that she would be a flying squirrel, so hence why her hands were stretched out and she was running around.
There were a few things very nicely done about being a squirrel-girl, even if she was fifteen, many people assumed she was younger and thus gave her the ability to do whatever she wanted to do outside without batting an eye on her and not comparing her mostly to the girl that was in the movies, soon she would play the Egyptian Princess lost in a foreign country named Islankadi but well she did thank god not have to remember how to pronounce the name correctly. When she got tired, she picked up her drink, a simple can with a straw and ran around a little more before climbing into a tree and looking around at the people that were hanging around in Tokyo Park today. She wiggled with her legs, her tree not directly at the path but close enough to see the joggers, the couples, everything. She wondered how Jisatsu was doing as she had not had time yet to visit Yuuei. It was a shame really, she had wanted to go as soon as possible but with meeting, new contracts and three things filming in a short time, it was impossible. She had not wanted to tell him that she was an actress so it was better not to point that out, maybe she should text him for fun! Or maybe she should just wait, she did not meant to bother. She swung her legs back and forth again while sipping from the lemonade in the can, not too much sugar for she would have enough, she was only allowed during movie scenes as she would have to make use of her quirks ability, her mother probably wanted her now to become tired for the rest of the day and she did not mind. Hmm what to do more for today? MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

It had been a rather crazy morning, way too busy for his own liking. Lucas sighed as he recalled his business meeting earlier that day. Essentially just looking at various graphs all day long and listening to some Japanese individuals speak. He was there merely as a formality. They already knew how to do their job, the individuals all had highly respective resumes, not to mention their job performances were top of the line too. All he was there for currently was to just sign his name and give permission to approve the budget. It was honestly so dull that staying at home just seemed to add to the dull, boring drab actions of the rest of the day. Deciding he had enough of inaction, Lucas slipped into something a bit more casual and made it towards Tokyo Park. Despite the time he had already spent in Japan, he never found the time to head to the beautiful location. It was now or never. Perhaps a bit of a dramatization, but it was what Lucas needed to push him out the door with a shoulder bag filled with various books.
It was a lovely day outside. Of course, that only meant that there was going to be multiple people who had similar ideas as him. Perhaps they weren't going to the park to enjoy nature and read books, but that was his immediate goal. Letting out a quiet sigh, Lucas walked down the path as he looked around. The grass certainly seemed soft without him even touching it, the trees giving plenty of shade, the breeze was just enough to keep him cool but not too bad to cause his book's pages to go flying with every gust. He was already forgetting about his boring day as he kept walking, eventually finding a nice spot to set up near the path. A large tree, with no one else underneath it. Perfect.
He slowly sat down underneath the tree, leaning his back against it. Without even thinking, he closed his eyes and let out a long sigh as he took in that fresh air. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. As long as no one expected him to talk to them, despite being in public, he'd be just fine. Pulling out one of his books from his bag, his fingers only touched the back of the cover. His eyes flashing a dull blue for the briefest of moments, the book opened up seemingly all by itself. Of course, it was actually opened up by his quirk, right back to the place he had last left off. A murder mystery novel, one brought from his family home in Europe. Written in Swedish, he highly doubted anyone else spoke it around here in Japan. Considering it wasn't English or even Mandarin, he simply assumed most other foreign languages didn't get much representation.
He didn't even really start reading before he heard an odd noise. Glancing up above the tree, he was expecting a simple bird or maybe another tree-dwelling animal. And yet, he didn't see either of those two things. A girl, just sitting in the tree and drinking something. Apparently, this tree was already taken by someone. Not having the immediate heart for conflict, Lucas quickly stood up. Rambling instinctively in Swedish, he spoke. "Sorry, sorry. I'll just uh, find somewhere else to-" He finally got a good look at the woman's face and his words slowly fading out. He recognized that face!
Blinking a little bit in shock, Lucas nervously began to ask. Actually speaking out loud in Japanese this time. "H-hey, you wouldn't happen to uh, star as Glinda in that uh, TV show? You know the uh, Animal Rescue Group? Wait, no. T-team. Yeah." He's clearly nervous as he speaks, but that's pretty much constant with almost any social interaction. And yet, his sudden curiosity was overwhelming. It didn't matter if it was a children's show, and even if he had seen it a few times, that still wasn't the point! The main idea was that she was an actor, pure and simple, and his love for all kinds of media and storytelling immediately won over in the end.

● waiting, waiting... i fall asleep She did notice of course that someone was coming towards her tree but as a warm and kind person she did not mind if someone would sit down here against one side of the tree, she could always climb out through the backdoor so to say or the other side of the tree and hurry back to her mother when she wanted to. She first decided to simply remain sitting and continue to swing her legs without making much nose. Of course, the branch chipped a bit and made a grinding noise because of that but not too loud in her opinion. Most human beings would not pay attention, which was a shame, many were simply blinded to the beauty of nature and the sounds of it but this guy, he wasn't. He looked up at her and her brown eyes looked curiously as he quickly stood up again. Oh how odd, how polite, she immediately started to smile because she found it funny.
Most of the time the people she met did not care if she was first or not. She simply shook her head because she did not understand what he meant, that had been funny when she met Aya-Aya and Su-Su. She had not been able to understand them for a few times either but the twin had found a solution of a magic mushroom, this was going to be a little more diff- oh he spoke Japanese. She tilted her head and her happy brown eyes stared at him and her smile growing out into a grin, "Yes I am Glinda." She said happy Galinda, Grinda, anything you wanted to pronounce it, it would be alright, she herself spoke it with a perfect English-American accent as she spoke the language just fine since her father his family originally came from America but he was Japanese, his family had moved from Japan there and had come back but her name Honey was picked with that in mind as well as stardom. "So you watch Animal Rescue Team?" Her voice not making any sound of judgement, she was excited, not many did recognize her as many thought it were just aesthetics in the series, not a real squirrel girl! She would wait to see if he would answer, "We are getting a movie." She grinned some more not sure if it was a secret actually, the idea was just the excitement behind it and Honey was bad at keeping her mouth shut anyway. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

It was that smile of hers that convinced him to relax a little bit. Maybe it was awkward, but it didn't seem to be a pitiable smile in any sense. Regardless, he smiled back as soon as she confirmed his suspicions. So she was Glinda! His own excitement piqued once more, overwhelming his anxiety for a brief moment as he continued to speak."I mean, well, not all the time. I've seen it every now and then. I just uh, turn it on in the morning because it's... Nice, yeah. Nice." While he supposed admitting he watched a show for kids was probably embarrassing on some level, admitting it to the actress herself and still feeling embarrassed about it would simply seem quite rude. Despite that, his cheeks took on a slight pinkish hue.
Seeing her sheer excitement about the concept of a movie made his own eyes widen. Oh goodness, he surely hadn't expected that at all. Being fair to himself, he wasn't entirely knowledgeable on a lot of Japanese media, but he was certainly learning. It was easy to realize he was face to face with an up and coming star. Despite not knowing how old she was, it still felt appropriate to give her a small bow out of respect. "That's awesome news! I'll uh, certainly be on the lookout for it!" Considering how he was actively talking with the lead actress, he practically felt obligated to at this point. After all, if he somehow eventually ran into her again, and he never did watch her movie, what exactly was he supposed to say? That he forgot? Would that even be socially acceptable? He didn't have the slightest of clues.
It hadn't occurred to him until just now that he hadn't even properly introduced himself! How in the world was he expected to hold a conversation if he couldn't even introduce himself? Fumbling over his words for a brief moment, he eventually spoke. Being quite clear to try and be as calm with his words as he could possibly be. "My uh, name is Lucas. Lucas Rydell. It's uh, a pleasure to speak with you. In person, I mean." He eventually quieted down, blinking a little bit as he tried to remember her actual name. Shoot. He couldn't just ask her, could he? After all, he approached her because he knew her! Well, knew the woman she played on television. Hopefully over the length of the conversation it would come back to him.
"I'm relatively new to Japan. If you uh, couldn't tell by my Swedish outburst." He laughed quietly, gently rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to casually segue into more polite conversation without making anything awkward. "But I've uh, always been fond of Japanese entertainment. So Japanese is pretty easy for me, at least. However, I noticed that er, you have a bit of an accent. May I ask where that is from? If that isn't too much of an invasion of privacy, in any case?"

● waiting, waiting... i fall asleep "It's a motivation in the morning." Honey beamed in happiness to tell Lucas that she loved her program, she was rather proud of being a part of it, being the main hero in that story was something, it made her realize that she could at least be a motivation for younger kids that might one day follow her friend Jisa-Jisa to the hero school, you never know, maybe it would be inspirational, that's what she hoped to achieve now that she thought about it. "To be honest, I barely watch it, I like to sleep in or I am already at work when it's on tv." Which felt a bit weird to say after she said it was a motivation in the morning, "I am not really a morning person." She giggled and she did not notice the embarrassment that Lucas felt about it or that his cheeks turned a little pink, she simply moved her legs back and forth, still sitting on the branch and looking down.
"Ehehe." She said laughing a little about the man who told her that he would look for it, maybe he had a little niece or nephew that was a fan of it, or just watching something in the morning could be nice, nothing too difficult. "Yes, it's a rather busy schedule but today is my day off so I am enjoying it in the park, how about you?" She smiled happily though, never one to think bad about people and loving to socialize. She jumped down out of the tree, with the ease of a squirrel that she was when Lucas introduces himself, because even when he spoke to her about Glinda, she did not think about not introducing herself, pure out of a form of politeness, so she offered her hand, "I am Honey, Honey Lemon." Almost saying Hirano as that was her real surname, but this was talking on a work level so she would have to use her artist name. Lemon. Because her parents were so creative.
She giggled again and nodded, not that she had known it was Swedish but it surely was interesting. "Oh, it's probably from my dad. You see my father is Japanese American and that's also why they gave me a name that fit both countries, Honey and my mother is from here. At home I try to speak English with my father, he hopes that it helps me in my future career." And so did her mother but well she would see about that, at the moment it was already busy enough when it came to what she had to do or not. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

He couldn’t help but grin a little bit wider seeing the happiness that spread across her face as soon as she spoke. There was just something so special about seeing this young girl actually enjoy the work that she did. Her program, while it was meant for kids, was definitely enjoyable. It was the same thing as anything you put effort into, at least in his opinion. Acting was a very impressive skill in his opinion, growing up with a heavy dose of Japanese media had instilled a very strong sense of respect for anyone in the movie business.
At the question, Lucas cleared his throat before speaking. “Well, uh, this is actually my first day heading to the park. It’s been... “ He chuckled quietly, shaking his head at the dull, boring memories of the morning came back to him. “It’s been both extremely busy and extremely boring, if you can imagine it. Work doesn’t just wait for me to only show up on the interesting days, you know.”
Lucas was quick to shake her hand as soon as she offered it. He had become so used to the Japanese custom of bowing to each other, that the familiar action was incredibly comforting to him. He internally let out a sigh of relief as she said her own name. Honey Lemon. That certainly wasn’t a Japanese name, but every famous celebrity seemed to have their own preferred name and title. In his eyes, this was absolutely no exception, she was somewhat of a celebrity, at the very least, even if she was rather young.
The explanation that she was part American easily explained why a handshake was such a casual action, let alone explaining the accent. “Ahh, English. Boring language, honestly.” Lucas spoke, using English to do so with his signature accent before switching back to the comfortable Japanese. “I will admit, it’s useful for business. But it’s a mishmash of many languages, with defined rules. But then exceptions to those rules, and exceptions to those, It’s just a hogwash.” A quiet chuckle escaped his lips almost immediately after he finished speaking.
It took a few seconds for him to realize that he wasn’t as nervous as he was before, and he blinked a little bit in sudden surprise. Usually when meeting someone new, he was more than accustomed to the nerves staying the entire time, but they had faded without even realizing it. His smile suddenly grew a little bit wider almost immediately, quite happy with his progress in socializing, even if it was with someone younger than him. “So, do you often come to the park? Anything you can recommend? Or rather, any trees good to read under asides from the one you have taken residence in?”

● waiting, waiting... i fall asleep It was not always fun considering the limit of free time she had but she really liked acting so that worked out. The strictness of her parents was also something that she was used to so she had no idea if it could be different or if she wouldn't really understand but she never looked at it from that perspective, she simply was happy with how things were going now, with the movies and the series itself and well she could let go a lot of her energy by dancing around and her singing classes were going fine as well. She had a lot of energy being a chipmunk and it was just nice that her parents have found things that she liked and could do and get a lot of energy from and immediately drop that in her work. It was better than sitting still in school.
Her eyes turned bigger when Lucas said that this was his first day, "Woow!" She almost ran around but the luck was that she was still sitting on the branch, "You missed a lot!" She would show him, yes, when they finished talking, she will show him the best spots in the park, she nodded to herself, and the ice cream parlour that Hye-nee brought her, yes, yes. "Ah you need another job, my job is different every day and much fun!" She threw up her hands as if she was a little confetti orb and grinned, "Everyone should do jobs they like." But now that she said that, she realized that she had no idea what he did, "What do you do?" She squinted a little, waiting for him to speak about a desk job, with a cubicle, those were the worst things, she knew not all desk jobs were horrible, her father loved his and she admired him for that, especially with the big books in front of his nose all the time, but hey to each their own.
Ah she realized that she had not said her name and that she would have to keep in mind to use her artist name, she almost blurted out Hirano, that might not be so bad towards Lucas but there were moments it might be and she had to get used to it. She extended her hand, that's how her father greeted people. She was glad he shook it without difficulty, she picked the right gesture, no little bow, she found bows weird anyway, she snickered. Honey went on to explain that she was American for 50% and it seemed to Lucas as something boring, "Oi!" She pouted but giggled again after that, "They picked Honey Lemon, it sounds strange, I am just Honey." She nodded to herself most likely, "A hogwash?" Surely her father spoke English to her, because it was good for the industry and so on, also that's why they gave her this cute name the whole world would understand, it was their plan all along but she had no idea what a hogwash was, even in Japanese she felt a little lost now, maybe she was hold small by her parents, she mostly asked them if the script used words she didn't understand. "My accent is still funny in English, but my father said it's good for business too, that's why he speaks to me in English but my mother speaks to me in Japanese."
It was good to see that she did not bore Lucas, he grinned widely and Honey copied that rather easily and she liked the question about the park and made a little run around the tree as he made a comment about that. "Hm, this one is nice because you can watch people but they can't see you. I get of the road a lot, hmm there is a part of the park where barely anyone comes, because they think you have to go around the thorns but you don't have to, also the fountain is pretty and the teahouse in the middle serves great drinks but it's often busy especially in the summer but there is an ice cream shop right outside the park, Hye-nee brought me there and they have so much ice cream, even walnut flavour!" What more could she tell Lucas, no, he seemed to want a tree that not many would visit and she liked him, she would show him her secret spot. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
