(this is a wip dont reply to this thread yet)
Hello, I have been talking about this for ages, and I think it’s finally time I stop talking about it and run some trials.
tl;dr: i’m trying to make a quirk sports to have threads in the spirit of that dodgeball match from hunter x hunter, or blood bowl for those in the know
the short version: i wanted to combine some of the most popular sports in the world into something that could be enjoyable to thread, and this is what I came up with. I am first going to give the (quite simple) rules from an IC perspective, and then explain how the matches go OOCly.
And... That’s about it. As I said, this would be a trial run, so I’d be happy to hear your concern, worries, objections, all that good stuff. I’m not entirely sure about some of the things, but after much thinking and DMing and experience from other threads, those are the best solutions I found to make a PvP RP superpower sport work. I’m pretty sure it will need more work, hence those just being trial threads. ICly, those matches will happen at a new indoor pitch that just opened in Musutafu, as to allow not only students to participate (villains will be required to do the usual disguises and whatnot and not cause problems) and so if it ends up being boring shit nobody wants to post in we can quickly sweep it under the rug.
Hopefully though, it will be fun! If you want to participate, please fill the thing below. I want people to sign up as teams, because i just don’t see this being fun with pre-assigned teams, so no individual sign-ups please, find two mates on discord! And try not to make teams comprised only of the strongest characters, that’s no fun. That will be all. See you on the field!

Rules of the game:
Both teams plays on one field, enclosed with grillage on all sides to form a sort of box the size of a futsal field (50x20x20), with two goal areas. Image here (link) The game is played with a spherical ball the size of a football ball, reinforced to withstand the use of quirks, in teams of 3vs3.
The objective of the game is to score goals in the allotted time. The teams play for two halves of fifteen minutes. In case of a tie, the game will be decided by penalty shootouts.
Any player currently touching the ball, with either his body or his quirk, will be considered a ball carrier, as well as any player currently touching the player holding the ball. (in other words, if you carry the ball carrier, you will be both considered ball carriers)
Only ball-carrying players can be targeted with tackles, either physical or quirk-powered ones. Hitting a non-ball-carrying player with a tackle is considered a foul, and will result in a free kick for the fouled team. A player is allowed 5 fouls; upon receiving his 5th foul, he will be excluded from the match.
Touching the ball for very short amounts of time and controlling it that way, otherwise known as dribbling, will by default not be considered ball-carrying, even if a tackle is aimed at the moment the player touches the ball.
tl;dr: score goals. when you’re carrying the ball, you’re a target, every player from the other team can hit you. you can pass the ball however you see fit. use of both hands, feet, entire body and quirk are allowed, and carrying something with your quirk is considered ball-carrying. you’re not considered to be ball-carrying when you’re dribbling, so take advantage of that -- if you have the skills for it. bulldozing the ball into the goal is just as viable a strategy.

OOC Rules:
- the match lasts for 36 posts in total (posts, not rounds: see below) divided in two 18 posts halves
- in order to make the match more dynamic, members of each team post alternatively: red team 1 > blue team 1 > red team 2 > blue team 2 > red team 3 > blue team 3, and back again. this makes for a “block” of 6 posts, so the game should last for 6 of these “blocks”, so three blocks per halves.
- when it’s your turn, you are posting for the whole team. communicate with your team mates to ask them what their character should be doing, conspire to set up amazing goal plays… I don’t need to tell you this is a team game!
- this posting order can be messed with a little, assuming you have approval from everyone involved, but make sure that everyone posted at least once by the end of each block.
- for each block, a dice roll will happen to determine the outcome of the block (aka, how many goal will be scored during that block; see dice table). this throw will happen at the end of the block by default, but can be thrown earlier if agreed upon. if both teams agree on an outcome, then this rule can be compeltely disregarded.

Dice table:
Very simple. Combat abilities are worth 10 points per rank (so for example, a C-rank combat ability would be worth 40 points). Specialist abilities are worth 5 points per rank. Quirks are worth 30 points per rank.
Life skills are normally worth nothing, but you are allowed to designate one life skill as your “Sports ability”, which is then worth 20 points per rank. We’ll be quite lenient with what you decide to pick as your sports ability; it doesn’t have to be a ball game or even really much of a sport, but we ask that you make sense of whatever you pick.
The amount of points in each team will be added together to make the team’s “power level”. Say red team gets a power level of 100 and blue team gets 150. In this case, a d250 will be rolled; if the dice falls on any number from 1 to 100, red team scores, else, blue team scores.
