Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse Third. Third. That was..that was okay, that was good, third. How the hell... words, no swearing. For crying out loud she could not understand what happened, surely it made her excited, to behind such great names and yet all she did was...nothing. she needed to be better. And that better will only come if she knew what she was doing, she needed to go back to her roots. Back home, she could not take a trip to Cape Town, she did not want to bump into her mother anyway but she had to do something. More training was not possible, she did not want to bother G at the moment of this issue, his son was more important than her Martial Art training. Much much more important than her issues. She sighed when she thought of that.
She put one foot in front of the other, on her way to get something for turning back to her roots. She needed a spear but actually not a spear because she could not walk with that item the whole time around and she did not want a pointy deadly edge, wonderful. Someone in the hospital gave her some advice, trying to talk to her about something unrelevant to the fires and the deaths that she had to endure. So now that she had found the address, she looked with a frown on her face at the store. Hmm, was this a good idea? Yes it was, there were no other options, the nurse wanted to become better and the issues were maybe not that far yet or dangerous but you could not convince her that something was brewing and it would be hitting them rather soon. It had been too quiet with the incidents from before, where was that painter or the bucket or after all... thunder.
She walked towards the store for the last few steps and hesitated when she took the door. What would the others say, was this even legal? But the government was not listening to her every whim so she had to do something else and if they did not want it and yet she wanted, well... screw them. Again Nimue words.. She felt like the whole situation in Tokyo was so much distracting her, eating a part of her brain so she could not think straight or maybe it was her fighting-spirit that wanted to bust some ass. NIMUE! Oops?
She opened the door and entered, looking around to see if she should run away or try to get that help.

A slight dripping sound was heard from the sink. Those were the results of whatever the hell happened yesterday to the kitchen sink. Kent has spent most of the morning trying to fix it up. He may be a good inventor, but he still struggles at other fields, such as plumbing. Although, it wasn't that hard, he assumed, to replace a drainage pipe. He has some in the shed that he found, they look workable at the very least. But upon looking at the actual damage, he realized that this was far more worse than he assumed. There goes his morning plans to make the armor, he sighed. That heap of junk needed an upgrade...guess it's gonna have to wait more.
Before, the water sprayed all over. Now though, it was mostly fixed...saved for the dripping, of course. That damn dripping. It's one of those things that can just annoy a man...so might as well tape it up. "Water proof...water proof...there you are." He grabs a package of tape in order to quench the noise. It won't work for long, so he'll probably have to, you know, get an actual plumber to look at this. As much as he wouldn't mind looking into that field...he would rather stick to what he knows, thank you very much.
Though, for a while, it was the ONLY thing he knew about himself for a while.
Kent stands there, holding a wet rag, staring at it for a while. This always happens whenever he thinks like this. He shakes his head, trying to dissolve himself of any of those lingering thoughts. No time for that right now, what if there was a customer here? That wouldn't be good for business. Tossing the rag in the sink, he heads to the living room/reception area, only to find a woman there. He stares at her (or, well, squints at her considering how he appears to be closing his eyes all the time) and slowly walks up to the makeshift desk. How did he manage to miss the bell ringing? See, this is why he needs to stop having those introspective moments...nothing good ever comes out of that. Well, now's not the time to worry about that...now is the time for some work.
"...Welcome! Do you want something fixed or something to fix?" He greets her with a smile, adjusting the goggles on his neck. He's back in his element, no need to worry now. Although...there was something about his customer now that he thinks about it. Maybe he saw her in the news or something. Could be possible. No need to mention that, though.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse The idea of a poll for pro-heroes had kind of annoyed her, she did not know, and to be fair she had voted so she had wanted someone to be number one. Nimue did not know too much of her colleagues so it did not help much but she knew Siegfried and Junko and they were both doing very well what they should do and she believed they were doing it for the right reasons. Was she herself doing it for the right reasons or was she now disappointed that she only got third or was she disappointed that she got third and maybe not showing her indifference in getting a spot in that top. She had even voted again for the new lists because of well... maybe habit, she did not know but the last couple of weeks, she herself started to bother herself. She should find a moment of peace. Very funny that it was in the period where everything was busy.
She was preparing for internships, training the students in the infirmary, her speeches at the hospital, her second important research, working... a lot of working, prepping classes and giving classes. She took another deep breath and tried to focus on the here and now. She needed peace and that peace was how she would get it by working more, stupid! But... she had thought fairly that she wanted to focus on things she knew more for fun and maybe she could use it later.
The thing that went to her mind when she stepped into the vague looking store, it did not look scary, it looked pleasant enough but she reminded herself: You are alone. Again, stupid. Did she not learn anything from her disdain thoughts, her freezing like an antilope, anything? Nope she did not, she was like a lemur, too curious but not very smart or skillful when alone, albeit lemurs still could be very irritating when alone. Besides, technically she was never alone which was also something that could make you tired, annoyed, anything and peace would be harder to achieve but fine for now it was a positive thing if this was a trap, something bad anything (hello too much movies), she could get the help of Uphondu. Not that she wanted that, she was looking for something to get.
"Hello." Try to be open-minded and eh... well just yourself would be goode nough, she told herself and smiled at the clerk. "I kind of was looking for someone to make a design I had in mind, it's not that difficult but it needs a bit of a modern touch." She said to the man, he seemed to be nice, the smile certainly helped and he seemed so relaxed. "It's sort of a weapon but I got a license." Maybe she should start to learn to not talk about her license all the time if she wanted to remember her conversation with Ai, not that she regretted telling it to him, she also did not regret listening to his words but she wasn't ready to do it another time. Not yet.

He sits behind the makeshift greeting desk (or as Brandon likes to call it, "the junkplace"), and whips his hand off it. It's not really effective, but it's good to get rid of any excessive water that could be on your hands. No need to great a customer with weird wet hands. Of course, he could explain away the water stains on his shirt by saying it was a 'job.' That's kinda the problem when the only person who lives here is also the only person who can fix things out of one's respective group of friends: you get distracted by their issues and other outside issues such as broken sinks. They don't let you do what you really want to do...like creating and making new inventions, for once.
Kent's ears perked up when he heard the mention of making a new design. Now this is what he lives for. The invention and creation of new ideas made manifest onto reality, the modification and alteration of concepts made flesh...he can try to twist it anyway he wants, the fact is he is livid about making new things. "Really? Well then, suppose you came to the right place! I would be honored to be able to help you out on this...what is it, anyway?" He ponders.
A weapon? Interesting. So his inklings were correct, she was, at the very least, a pro hero. Most people with a license with a weapon of sorts barring quirk created ones usually belong to heroes. Even those who were quirk created need a license to do it out in the open. Interesting! While this wasn't the first time he worked for a hero...this is the first time he worked on a weapon design for a hero! He could barely hide his excitement!
Well, actually, he can.
He gives off a smile and nods his head. "Aright, sounds good! What sort of weapon do you need? Or, well, what kind of weapon do ya got?" He asks her.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She wasn't ready for a lot of things yet, even when she thought so. Maybe it was a little disheartening, she had a lot to fix, do and understand in her own small bubble and that bubble was expanding and expanding and one day it would burst and there was no one but her to catch her. She tried her best not to sigh, the clerk looked nice and she did not want to bother anyone anymore with her stupid thoughts. She got an apartment now, she left Siegfried alone, she... stop, else she might burst into tears with every stupid thing she had done.
So she explained that she wanted a weapon with a modern twist, she wasn't sure if you should actually call it a weapon, she was sure people would call her primitive with a spear but to be honest, she wasn't a fan of guns. That was primitive, immediately trying to kill off the other, what a work. "It's a spear, I need it to be made of a material that can hold on quite well in potential eh well fights." She decided to shrug it off considering it might be easier for him to understand and let it go. "As well as have a system so it could be in separated pieces perhaps, I can't walk around with a spear all the time, but if it's sort of folded or with little locks being put together made into the length of a spear it would fit in my bag." So that was the modern twist that she meant to it. She did not have anything, she could not have traveled with a spear from South Africa to Tokyo when she was just eighteen. The routine of the dance of her warrior upbringing, her shaman being, everything was there and yet she was here. Stuck in a vicious loop of not doing where she came here for and yet loving what she was doing now anyway.
So many questions and wondering. "I know where to get a spear point of that's a difficulty but well the rest just seemed a bit, odd." Maybe it wasn't the right word, the word popped up in her mind because of the name of the shop and what the person at the hospital had said. Surely she knew a lot of people nowadays but that did not make it easier in understanding each and everyone and sometimes Nimue felt more lost in everything that she tried to do. Maybe she should let go of the whole part of her past that she missed, let go of trying to get a spear. What would the others say when they saw it, with that she meant the pro-heroes... would they laugh at her? Should she just focus on healing? But what had she gone through all these training days with G for... she really needed to get better and work on her style with Uphondu if she wanted to be more than just a healer.

The material of a weapon can help determine the flow of the fight. Stronger and more durable material are tend to be noticed in larger weapons or artillery. But that's the thing..those tend to be more heavier. So then, the kind of people who would use those sort of weapons would be the ones with reasonable to super strength, training, or have a sort of platform to holster them onto to properly use. Weaker material are more lighter and therefore can be taken with them with ease...but it's weaker for a reason. Those things can easily break off in the span of a second if not used correctly.
Spears in that regard, need certain criteria to be considered effective. They need the proper length in order to allow the user to use its reach properly. It needs to be light to be swung around but also sturdy enough to withstand other attacks. What's she asking is also something that can be easily detachable and reattach-able, to be easily carried or stores away in case of times of trouble. It's an interesting system that can lead into problems. First things first: The separated sections attaching and reattaching.
"...Alright...Let's see here." he grabs a piece of paper and a pencil. " First things first: I'm thinking of two ideas: Folding system and separated sections attaching and reattaching. Those two systems allow it to fold up and/or separate with ease...there's some problems with it if done poorly. The lock system is a nice idea, but if done poorly, the sections will be loose and can either flop around or just plain out fly out mid swing. If used on a foldable system, it can mean a jagged line, unable to be held correctly, and more time needed to properly align and lock into place." He scribbles out lines illustrating what he means. "On the other hand, it's far more compact. Heavier, yes, but it's more easier to get it ready for battle. All it needs is unfolding and locking, and blam, a spear." Tapping the pencil on the table, he continues. "Now, separated sections are...more difficult. More modular and therefore adjustable. Some cases don't require a spear, sometimes they need a bigger one. Who knows, but you can determine what kind of length you need with a modular system. Plus, one piece gone and it isn't the end of the world. Just a shorter weapon. However, separated means more pieces on your person. Let's say you have 4 sections to a spear. That's 4 pieces you need to carry around on your person at all times. Not only time, you need time to set up and lock into pieces to use it. What's also an issue is that for the lock system to work, you're gonna need some sort of protection over the 'joints' of the spear so it doesn't just break or fall apart the moment you touch it."
He ponders over it then gives off a smile. "So then, which one do you prefer? Either way, I can work on it."

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse Even if it was something she wanted, it was all in her head, sh ehad no talent or quirk to make new items, fabricate them or anything, she simply had an idea. In her town, no more like in her tribe they had learned to fight, it was a simple old tradition. Some of the elders thought that indeed they would be needed to fight again but she wasn't so convinced about that nor actually ready if it would be true. She had focused on healing for a reason but if she wanted to be more prepared in a world like this, she needed to get back into that. Maybe that is what the elders had foreseen. She had never bothered to ask as she had not agreed and now it was too late to even consider it to be a question. Maybe she should call her mother, but would the tribe allow her to call? Was she not a traitor or anything else? Leaving them without a word as well as without a shaman.
She tried to focus on the man behind the desk and leaned closely on it, hopefully not too much in his personal bubble, she wanted to stay friendly. She simply looked at the paper and listened to what he said about both systems. She wasn't a fan of the folding system, the only reason why she had said it was because it had been the first thing that came into her mind when she wanted the spear to be able to fit her bag. It should be a blunt spear-point too but again that was not the most important issue at hand right now. She thought that the locking system for attaching and reattaching would be the best but when Kent reasoned it, she wasn't entirely sure, "I only thought it might be sturdier." She said to give him the idea that she had no intention to correct him or not, she was afraid that the folding system would not work or that it would be bend and she wasn't sure what she thought of that. She looked at the paper that he made to write it down, the pros and cons now in her head. She frowned a lot, "I am not sure." She looked up at the man and gave him her worried frown, "both sound difficult when it comes to how it works, what do you suggest would be best?"

Even with both ideas having their issues, he cannot deny that both systems have their appeal to him. To be able to fold it and store easily into a bag is really nice, and to have a modular weapon to mix and match the parts to whatever you deem to be required, it's pretty cool! Amazing, isn't it? Fantastic, isn't it? He heads his head left and right, trying to determine which one to make on his own free time. He then slightly snaps out of it. Focus, Kent. This is for a customer. What they want is what you're gonna make. You can't just try to place your own spin or make your own things while someone is here asking for a request.
"Sturdier? Yeah, could be. It just depends on how one makes the lock system. If one chooses to, you can make movable metal covers that can slide and cover up the ends at which each section connects, then lock it down at the ends. It could be a simple pin system, or even a complex latch one. Either way, it would be sturdier that way if you include that and some sort of connecting point at the end of each segment as well. That way you can make it fully modular. If you have that spear point, you can even modify the end of that so you can attach and reattach it with ease. Honestly, I would go with that." He taps his pencil onto the table. "But...hmmm...."
He ponders over it. It would be more work...but at the same time...it would allow him to divulge in more constructing time. He would really like that, to be honest. "Alright then. How about this? I'll make the modular system model...as well as a foldable system one. You'll only have to pay the price of one. However, it's gonna take some more time if you want them together at once. So then...do you just want the first one right away, or wait for both at once? It's totally up to you." He turns his chair. In a way, this was really selfish of him to enjoy his work as well as benefiting a customer. All he's doing is giving him a way to make more tools. He already got himself sucked into his way of thinking, so might as well help her out with it. "Either way, we're gonna have to discuss another thing...material. What kind of material would be good for you?" He asks Nimue.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse Well at least the good thing was that she wasn't as stupid as she thought, the clerk seemed to be interested in the form of the spear and what to do with it. The pros and cons listed down and still he seemed to be unsure which one would be a better pick. That might mean that both were not as good or that both had a sense of something that could become great. Nimue surely hoped the latter part but she wasn't entirely sure. She asked him if it wouldn't be sturdier if you had the what she called click-system in her mind and he said it could be. But he had a good point about the lock system, twist and turn, up and down, anyway to lock it apart so she did not stand with two separate parts or even more when she was fighting, she surely did not know anymore how to fight with it, or well not completely. It was not something she forgot it was simply something she could not imagine how to use at the moment. She listened to him, leaning a bit back while looking accidentally at the ceiling of the store as she tried to picture it. "As long as that doesn't make the differences between the cover and the spear base too deep so I could cut myself while moving the spear, that seems like a solid idea." She basically brought up the issue that she had, if they were brain storming, she surely felt to be the dumber one of the two but she could point out issues, he would probably know how to shape that. But a human could not think of everything at once, hence why they worked so well together with more than one of them. She had to admit that she was happy when he said that he would go with that, as that had been her original idea.
However there was a but, which was a little bit of dread.
She turned her attention back to the clerk as he seems to be forming a proposition. She frowned when he said he would make both. She had to think about that a bit, "I can wait." She finally decided to say, "It's not like I used them before so it's only a bonus." She smiled that's how she would like to see it. "Do you have an estimated time?" She could still wait but it was a nice idea to have a guess. But after that came the difficult question that made her feel more lost than the previous conversation had done and she looked at him with mild panic and yet a blank expression because she had no idea. "I would not know." She only had the wooden versions with metal points but that did not work here in this modern high-tech world. "Isn't there some sort of strong but light metal?" She asked helplessly, only feeling more stupid. The thing was that she decided to say, better to ask and be corrected than not ask and be sorry.

If you think about it, that's a perfectly good answer. How long would it take to make this? If he had the right materials he could be able to dish it out in a week if he worked nonstop...and to be completely honest, since this is something that he would often engross in, it's not an option that he would immediately dismiss. He can totally find himself working in his workshop area just minding his own business, ignorant of the world around him as he engrosses himself in this project. After all, it's a spear, right? Nothing complex as a engine or any other mechanism that has several internal systems. Those are like...a month at best if he were to work nonstop.
"Well, if you're willing to wait for at least a week...then I can make that. That kind of material is easy to get for me, at least. You don't even need to pick it up at the store if you wish to. I can send someone over and deliver it to your place or something. I got someone who can do that, no problem." He adjusts his googles. "That's all there is to it. I can get you your tool in about a week or two. Any longer and I'll discount it for you. That's how it is, plain and simple." he smiles.
"...Sorry for asking though, but why a spear? Is there any particular reason why you gravitate towards that?" He questions her, while drafting the list of materials to get. "Is it just your style?"

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She was sure she should not lean on the counter, give him some space, what kind of intimidation she might give off (probably not much) it was just personal space bubble, so she leaned back a bit but kept a sweet smile on her face. She was already glad she found this and that it went better than expected, which was saying a lot. Her dramatic change even after speaking to Mia still made it that she was looking for answers and solutions, soon she would have to guard three students and even if it went fine with Emi in Nakano, it surely was a lot harder work with three around her. And the hard work she would have to perform to patrol now too.
A week? He really surprised her, she looked around the store, was he focused on her job, was this his only job, how did that work? Or did he not sleep and work on anything for twenty-four hours a day and customers were actually a bother because they stopped his eh... creating time? Tinkering, that's the word. Well thank god the material she had in mind was easy for him to get so another relieve on the side of Nimue and her smile only become happier, she wasn't sure what she should do now, just go away and return in two weeks? Because he said the payment would be when she saw it and picked the one. "No it's fine to come here." She smiled because to be honest, she could not even remember the address of her new apartment and she could not give up the school, albeit it wasn't a bad idea. "Ah you don't have to, I mean if something comes up that's fine. I can wait." One week or two was already a lot faster than she had thought and she brushed her hair behind her ear and looked at the paper with the notes again before looking up at Kent. "Ag, I don't think I really have a style but I am not from here, I am from South Africa, my tribe taught me the training of fighting with a spear and well maybe that makes it my style but I thought it might be a good weapon in case of well my job." Really trying to be vague made her say well a lot of times. "So yea, it feels familiar and useful." Especially if her quirk focused on brute strength and she did not want that.

Kent looks a bit surprised. "Really? Huh. Your Japanese is pretty good, all things considered." Foreign hero, huh? That narrows the mental list down...not really. But her origin does help out on who she was. Took him a bit to reach into his mind to pick out the mentions about this lady. Still, it doesn't matter that much in the end. What she wants is a simple and effective spear, and nothing more. "Makes sense to pick something that you're used to. Picking up a foreign style out of the blue would often hamper someone's ability, so it's good that its at the very least familiar. Maybe I can make the weapon feel a lot more stronger then, since you're used to it. Most beginners would..." he started to trail off, muttering to himself as he sketches out potential plans on how to make it.
He managed to break back into reality, though. He gives off a small laugh and and grabs some stacks of paper. "Alright. Think that's it for now. Is there anything else that you need? Anything minor to make? Fix up? Find out? I can consider adding that onto the plate." He adjusts his goggles as he grabs a schedule and jolts down his customer's hero name on it. Thinking back on it, he hasn't really asked her his name. It took him until he wrote it down to realize it, making him a bit surprised. So that's who she was, interesting. "Other than that." he mentally shifted tracks. "I think we're good." Two more heroes that he knows. Seems like a potential source for gathering info in the far future...no, don't do that. They're customers, nothing more and nothing less. One can't abuse the sacred contract between crafter and customer, or else you'll just be abusing everyone else's trust in you for your own selfish needs. Need to calm down, Kent.

Nimue Nakahara Yuuei's Nurse She laughed shortly about the compliment, "Thanks it took me a while to study but I found it very important to do so." Also to make it easier for her to study but all things considered, she wanted to find a connection with her father, maybe she had a talent for learning languages, she did not know and to be fair she did not care, she knew quite a few and that was enough for now, the most important ones were good, she had sometimes moments where her Japanese failed but more in the way of how to pronounce such words or where to put them in a sentence. It did not work to know four languages that were based on a different concept. She nodded as she agreed with Kent who said that it made sense to pick up a style she was used to. She had trouble with the street fighting style G had given her but combining it with what she already knew had proven to make it easier. "If you could that would be wonderful." She said when Kent offered to make the material stronger, it would proven to be more useful indeed.
Anything else she needed, fixed or found out.. She eyed him shortly, she wanted to know what Oz was up to or where her father was but at the moment she wasn't sure if she was mentally ready to find her father or be deserted by him again. She followed the motion of his hand, reading upside down her hero name without her having said it, that at least saved her the issue of having to introduce herself this far within the conversation. "No, I have nothing." She muttered not entirely sure if she should ask him or not, she wasn't sure, she wanted to but she rather would chat about nothing than open wounds that she did not want to be open and that she could not take at the moment, so with that she decided to take her leave and she thanked Kent again, feeling stupid that she did not know his name, maybe she could ask when she would pick up the weapon. Maybe when she just entered the store now that she knew that she did not have to be nervous and so on. "Well see you in a week or two." She would see when she had time that week to come by and see if the spear was done. She did not want to push him or anything.
