The Weight of my pride do i really need that? It was not quite a nightmare, but a strange dream nonetheless.
She was in a field of irises, standing among familiar faces that shifted with each iteration. Sometimes it was just the Masters of Kashima. On other nights, Elise would be there. Sometimes Kenshin, even Kirk. Friends, family, loved ones, they were all by her side, watching the same thing she saw. For but a few meters away from them, in a dry patch in the sea of blooming irises, was Tetsuko's mother. Upon both her feet, with blades drawn. Her signature tanto and katana combo, clashing against the blades of a faceless opponent.
The people around Tetsuko always cheered, they shouted for the pride of Shindou. At the start, Tetsuko cheered too. Her lungs crushed with each bellowing roar of support towards Miku Shindou, the greatest warrior she'd ever known. The fight dragged on, however. It twisted, slowly, cruelly. Miku would begin crumbling away. Her body breaking off like stone chipped from a slab. It happened slowly some nights, quickly on others. Every time, the dread of watching would be exacerbated by the unique immobility one could only feel in a dream. The want to move, but the inability to command oneself to do so.
She couldn't even muster a scream.
As Miku crumbled away, piece by piece, the cheering would quiet. The people who watched would turn their eyes upon Tetsuko, and stare. Her dread would build and build, compounding within her and threatening to crush the girl from the inside, to pull her very essence inward until it tore her body asunder. Then, in some short time, as the unnatural sensations reached their height...
She'd awake.
With a jolt, Tetsuko would bolt upright. A hand gripped the sheet draped over her, she choked out a sputtering gasp for breath as her surroundings came pouring in. A sudden stimulus of reality that quickly calmed her spirits, as she glanced over the room around her. Illuminated by the dim light of the early morning, this room... Her room, was a comforting sight that brought about much-needed feelings of safety and warmth. This was her childhood home, after all, and she was in the great city of Kashima.
Though, she'd be departing from it later that very same day.
There was some time, but Tetsuko always had been an early riser. That, and she dared not rest her head again, lest her dreams return to her. It wasn't the first time she'd had that very one, no, ever since Tetsuko had been told that she'd be accompanying her Grandfather and his trusted Masters, she'd had them... Dreams of the iris field. Dreams of their destination.
The beautiful city of the blooming flower. Itako.
The place where swords would meet; as had been decided by her Grandfather and his oldest rival since long before Tetsuko had even been brought into the world. A decision come to when two legends fought an epic duel among the blooming flowers of a city in the middle of their two home cities. The legendary clash between the Shura of Ibaraki, Ryouichi Shindou, and the Master of Katori swordsmanship... As the tale goes, they swore to meet again and trade cuts of their blade, and as word spread, soon many swordsmen and their schools were coming to Itako. To experience the tranquility of the irises blooming, as they practiced and sparred and clashed and dueled amidst fields of the noble flower.
It was a veritable festival of swords these days. Schools met and trained together, clashed somewhat safely and made quite a bit of money for the locals. It was quite a time, of that one could be certain.
Tetsuko only hoped she could be a bit more excited for it.
As the Shindou girl pushed off her covers, she lamented with a soft sigh how well things had been going, until she'd discovered her Grandfather's intentions to have her attend this year. Evidently, he was pleased with her performance, and figured now as good a time as any to display his granddaughter to the other sword schools. Tetsuko knew he had his reasons for not having her come in prior years, but to have have herself so suddenly accompanying... Should have been more of an honor, really.
Yet the last time she'd been was before her mother was brain-damaged cripple.
Such thoughts kept spoiling her mood.
With another sigh, the Shindou girl departed from her bedroom, under the early morning light and into the halls of her house. The girl did take solace in one thing; she'd been allowed to have Elise come with her. Thanks to Elise's growing renown since taking up her parents' research, Ryouichi Shindou was quite comfortable with the idea of showing off her as an 'asset' of the Shindou family too... Right now, she'd still be asleep, having been given a guest room of the Shindou family home. It had belonged to someone prior but... They were long since passed.
Tetsuko walked along through the halls, out to the small garden in their home that gave one ample opportunity to bathe under the rays of a rising Sun. It was always curious to her, and inspiring, how a moniker like "Land of the Rising Sun" had attached itself to the country of Japan. The Sun rose everywhere, did it not? Yet only Japan had allowed itself to be defined by the coming of Dawn.
How fitting then, that its history be colored by bright lights following times of darkness.
The swordswoman couldn't help but scoff to herself couldn't help but scoff to herself a little, as she took a seat at the edge of the garden and gazed out. Such silly thoughts were all she could do to keep her mind off things, it seemed. Tetsuko leaned back against the floor, closing her eyes a bit as she looked up at the sky, growing brighter with the morning rays. It would be time soon, to prepare get going to this new event... Tetsuko only hoped she'd be ready to face them all.
To face these unknown fears that plagued her so.

Dreams were the spice that made life worth living. It was a saying Elise had once read in a book, and it was one she had grown surprisingly fond of. It was a saying that taught her that dreams were a source of inspiration and motivation, something that helped a person overcome the trials and hardships that reality often forced upon them. Perhaps it was for that reason Elise was a dreamer, someone with plenty of dreams and ambitions, but the strongest and most wonderful of dreams always were connected to the root of her feelings, they always involved her beloved childhood friend. Indeed, whether it was the childish dream of someday marrying her iron-blooded knight, or the noble quest to help Tetsuko's mother regain the ability to walk, it were all dreams that were so closely interwoven with her lover.
Perhaps it was for that reason that even during something which might had been considered a vacation for her, Elise had still been studying diligently to keep her sworn promise. Indeed, while it was in the middle of the night the Eisenberg lass was still busily seated behind the table in one of the Shindou residence their guest rooms, a book spread open and a tablet next to it as Elise's usual playful expression was turned into a serious and focused look. For hours she spend looking into the past materials of researchers and doctors alike, theories, discoveries, but none seemed to help her gain the knowledge she needed to continue her research into continuing the legacy of her father. A gentle sigh escaped the Eisenberg lass her lips as she stretched her arms into the air and climbed back onto her feet, taking a seat at the window and gazed up at the starlit sky.
It was a beautiful view, one she wished to see alongside Tetsuko but she knew her lover needed all the rest she could get. After all, for Tetsuko Shindou the day that would follow would be far from a vacation, it would be a trial where she could show the world just how much she had grown. Perhaps it was the importance of such an event that had made Elise decide that today she wouldn't sneak into her lover's bed to snuggle to sleep, instead being satisfied just hugging the plushie of her that she secretly brought along.
With time already having long wandered past midnight the pink-haired lass could feel exhaustion slowly taking its toll upon her, a soft yawn escaping her lips upon which she considered it a sign to go to sleep. It didn't take long for her to change into her pajamas and climb into her bed, hugging the Tetsuko plushie close against her chest as she felt the drowsiness slowly take her into its embrace, slowly but surely drifting off into the realm of dreams.
Fortunately as of late Elise's dreams were pleasant, no doubt the result of the positive atmosphere she had been surrounded with recently. Despite the fact she often acted in a way that made people believe she had a solid grasp on her emotions, that was actually only a partially correct answer. While Elise had firm control over her feelings, it came at the cost of forcefully suppressing them, a skill she had learned during her childhood, but to be entirely honest: Elise was quite an emotional person.
Whether it was feeling blissful joy at the fact her dream had become a reality now that she was dating Tetsuko, or the feeling of grief at having lost her father, immense emotions were a natural part of her existence, and as such they often influenced her wellbeing. It was a dangerous trait to possess, she knew that much but she also realized that emotions could be a powerful source of strength for one to call upon in their time of need.
Nonetheless, after a peaceful slumber Elise found herself slowly stirring awake, a lazy yawn escaping her lips as she gazed up from the comfort of the pillow she had been resting on. A brief cursory glance at her phone suggested it was already a few hours past the usual time she woke up, no doubt a consequence of studying so late, but fortunately, it was still a fair hour to wake up at.
Getting changed into her clothes Elise had quietly opened the door leading into the guest chamber when she spotted Tetsuko seemingly lost in thought, seated at the edge of the garden and gazing absently ahead. At times like those Elise really praised her skill at being sneaky, almost soundlessly encroaching upon her lover till she was right behind her, upon which she would finally act. Her hands sneakily made their way for Tetsuko's chest, slipping underneath her clothing and teasingly tickled along her abs while she mischievously whispered into her lover's ear. "Scoffing with such a frown is a no~go" Elise chimed playfully as she ceased the tickling and instead tenderly embraced Tetsuko from behind, whispering in a more endearing tone. "A smile better suits my hero~"
And with those words spoken she slipped beside Tetsuko and gazed onto the garden before them. "Hehe~ Remember how we used to play in the garden? I still remember how much laughter filled the garden after you proclaimed that you were my knight~"
A sheepish giggle followed as Elise's hand trailed for Tetsuko's own and gently squeezed it. "A time without worries or concerns, a time where we could laugh and have fun without having all those troubling thoughts plaguing our mind..." She turned her gaze sideways toward Tetsuko and leaned closer, planting an innocent kiss on her knight's cheek as she continued speaking. "We'll make those times return, together~ It might take a while, but together I'm certain we'll overcome whatever challenges the future might hold."
She raised a hand to her cheek and mused softly. "Although try to refrain from having limbs impaled please, it's not good for my poor heart, even if I studied diligently to be able to treat such injuries~"

The Weight of my pride do i really need that? As the morning's gentle warmth began to rise, engulfing Tetsko, an equally kind sensation would also arrive with the sudden sensation of Elise's soft hands against her abdominals. Her gentle touch was one Tetsuko was familiar with; those fair hands of hers. "Oi!" The ironblooded lass blurted out with a slight giggle at the tickling. Turning back to smile warmly at her lover. An expression that took on a more contented and sombre visage, as Elise embraced her and whispered her usual graces, that always served to put Tetsuko's heart somewhat more at ease.
"...Good morning to you too." Was all Tetsuko could manage in response a light voice. A smile... Did it suit her so? She wasn't so sure herself. If Heroes needed to smile. Even now, Tetsuko wondered if Elise's assertion was really the case. Did she need to smile to fulfill her duties, her responsibilities? Such thoughts often plagued her at times like this, when the weight increased by many times. To the point where Tetsuko wondered at what point she was better off sacrificing her happiness for duty.
The dark hue of these creeping facets of her mind were something Elise served well to hide. At least... Some of the time. On other days, Elise just reminded Tetsuko of what she had to fight for. The Germanic lass mused over the garden before them, one of the many images of their past together. "You really do enjoy bringing up things so embarrass... Yet I do recall you having an eagerness to playing the princess as well." Tetsuko teased lightly, forcing a half-grin on her face. Those days were long behind them now, those memories one of the many parts that made up the sum of Tetsuko's past.
The 'Past' she needed to preserve, protect, and restore. Such was the pinnacle of her goals, such was why it would have pained her so to remember any more... To recall how her mother had scolded them for running around her flowers so recklessly.
Even as her hand was lightly squeezed, the mentions of a time without worries had her expression becoming even more conflicted. Returning to then, was all she could hope for. Yet, Tetsuko had also come to understand the importance of the future, the futility of time itself... So the ironblooded lass remained at an impasse; one that created much of the conflict within her heart. It was why she found such hope with Elise's claim that they could, and would, regain that past and return to those times.
The better times, back then.
The days when this city, this family, and her mother were all... Whole.
Silently, Tetsuko smiled and squeezed Elise's hand as she felt the peck against her cheek, and the reassuring words that Elise offered. The Germanic lass was the only one Tetsuko could show such weakness to, so she was ever glad to have Elise by her side. No other student even knew of this plight, nor could they. No one else could know the shame of the Shindou; the shame within the pride of UA's Number 1. No one but her. No one...
Not until Tetsuko restored what was broken.
Her eyes almost lost in the morning haze, Tetsuko chuckled lightly at Elise's impaling comment. leaning back into her lover and holding her hand close. "I'm afraid I can't make any promises. It's evidently an effective strategy." The Shindou girl said cheekily, pressing a light kiss against the back of Elise's hand before continuing. "Really though, you don't have to worry. We don't spar with shinken - edged swords -because we're technically not supposed to." Some, of course, still did... The Shindou family itself had gotten away with using proper weapons for some time. Tetsuko in particular, thanks to her abilities.
The Shindou girl straightened up her posture a bit, before getting to her feet, helping Elise up too if need be. "We should be ready to go, Mom and Dad should be ready soon." Miku and Masaru Shindou would drive them to the Dojo, upon which they'd transfer vehicles to something that was bit more... Of a showoff. Ryouichi Shindou wasn't going to let 'that bastard from Katori' show him up, after all.
As she gazed forward towards the heat haze, Tetsuko had visions again, of the irises of Itako, the destination of the next chapter of their shared path.
"Hey, did I ever tell you?" The Shindou girl said absently, almost lost in thought, as she recalled stories of the post, memories of then. "That my parents got married in Itako?"
His daughter had always loved irises.
In Japan they were as symbol of spiritual protection. The purification of evil. Ryouichi Shindou wondered if that was what had drawn her to them. If the woman who believed in the righteousness of her family, wanted to shield them from the specters of darkness, and purify the evil that threatened them. Or perhaps, it was just how they looked in her silver hair. Like in the photograph Ryouichi held, of the day his daughter had married a great student. In the city of Itako, amidst the irises.
He wondered if she'd ever smile as brightly as she did then.
"Grandmaster?" A knock at one of the doors to the larger estate by the Dojo was heard, the tall old man turning towards the familiar voice of one Master Ueno. "We are ready to await Miku-sama and Tetsuko-sama." The stoic voice uttered, earning a simple and firm reply from the grandmaster. "Very well. I'll be out shortly."
The man set down the photograph, not daring to look any longer, as he huffed to himself. This was the first time in quite a while, he'd be seeing that old bastard again. As Ryouichi touched the scar across his eye, he recalled the words from back then.
"Let our blades cross, when the irises bloom."
Back at the smaller estate, Tetsuko and Elise would hear a door opening shortly after Tetsuko's fun fact, and the sound of wheels across the floor were heard as Miku Shindou and Masaru Shindou made their way down the hall. Tetsuko just nodded lightly to her father and mother, looking more towards the former as the latter almost absently sat back. "Ready to go?"
Masaru nodded, an unusual tension about him.
"Yeah. It's time."

Hearing Tetsuko's giggle was like music to her ears, the way she smiled, even for a moment before looking more content and somber after the pink-haired lass whispered her endearing words to her lover. "Good morning~" Elise chimed in response, yet it seemed her words left an impression on Tetsuko, the thoughtful look on her lover's face being more than easy enough for Elise to read as she chimed softly. "In my opinion, a hero who smiles is one who reassures those he fights for, after all a smile is much more reassuring than a thoughtful frown." A sheepish giggle escaped Elise's lips as she talked almost as if she had read her lover's thoughts just from her expression alone, or perhaps it just showcased how well the two of them knew each other.
Nonetheless, the heavy burden of such thoughts was briefly dispelled when she decided to comment about their shared past in the garden, Tetsuko's response earning a sheepish grin upon Elise's lips. "Of course~ Being your princess is one of the things I love the most in my life~" Indeed, even as children there was this endearing princess and knight dynamic between the two of them. Tetsuko Shindou, the iron-blooded knight who would always protect her princess, and Elise von Eisenberg, the spoiled little princess who would always do her utmost to help and support her knight, to ensure their happiness was at its greatest in each other's presence.
Elise's gaze shifted lightly, knowing all too well that the conflict her lover was feeling was no doubt related to her mother's condition. It was a pity that despite the healthy amount of progress they had made in her father's research, the theories and concepts could not yet be put in practice, incomplete as they were... Perhaps it was that knowledge, the fact that she was 'currently' still unable to help Tetsuko save her mother, that Elise felt it was her task to ensure her lover wouldn't lose hope, after all that was one of the things she currently wasn't helpless with, she could keep Tetsuko hopeful for a better future.
Indeed, it was a shared secret, one that only the two of them knew. Just like Elise showed her true nature so readily toward her lover, so did Tetsuko show a weakness that nobody else knew about, and she felt honored and obligated to help Tetsuko carry that burden.
Elise couldn't help but pout playfully at Tetsuko's lack of a promise on her concern of impalement, making the young doctor exclaim with a grin. "Well, if worst comes to worst I'll take care of you~ Fortunately, I tend to be compensated quite well for my work~" A mischievous snicker followed as if she hinted at the playful tickling of Tetsuko's abs or the more handsy touches to those pillows she adored so much.
"O mai~ already bribing me with such an endearing gesture? You know showing affection gets you anywhere with me~" Teasingly poking out her tongue the Eisenberg lass nodded her head lightly at the explanation. It was true, actual edged blades were considered somewhat forbidden, since they classified as weapons, and similar to the laws about guns, Japan was quite strict in that matter. Still, she did know the Shindou family had their way of practicing with proper weapons, no doubt because of the special talent that was found in their bloodline.
As she was helped back onto her feet Elise turned her gaze toward Tetsuko who was right amidst some muzing when the revelation of their destination and the fact that her lover's parents got married in Itako brought a crimson hue to Elise's cheeks! "Y-Y-You didn't tell me that we're going to the place your parents got married at!" Fidgeting lightly at the spot Elise continued to mutter softly. "If I knew that I would have picked a more fancy dress, to think we're about to go to the city of flowers... Got to make certain that you'll be holding the most beautiful flower of the city in your hand~" Elise exclaimed the last part with a wink.
Nonetheless, it didn't take long for Tetsuko's parents to arrive, Elise's expression turning more gentle and calming as she raised a hand in a gentle waving motion. "Good morning~" She answered in a greeting, while at the same time nodding lightly toward Tetsuko at the inquiry about whether everyone was ready to go or not.
"Tell me more about Itako Tetsu~ What is it like? I heard my parents went there once, but I never been there before~ Although I do know they call if the city of flowers due to the iris flower that blooms in abundance there~" It sounded like quite the paradise for a hopeless romantic lass like Elise!
Perhaps it was for that reason she was also wearing a rather pretty summer dress, one which complemented her feminine figure quite nicely! After all, out of the two of them, Elise was rather known to be the one to prefer feminine clothes, and fortunately, they suited her quite nicely also.
Still, it was a pity her mother couldn't attend the trip, she would have felt more comfortable knowing someone more experienced like her mother was around in case something happened with Tetsuko's mother that needed medical assistance, but unfortunately, she had been occupied with something work-related.
Still, little did Elise know just what type of adventure would await the two of them in the city of flowers, for while Itako was known as a city where the Iris bloomed in abundance, it was also a city where those that adored flowers were known to search for the rare and beautiful specimen, and if there was one thing that could be said... Then it was the fact that Tetsuko Shindou was in possession of a flower that was well and truly one of its kind, and that today would be a day where she would have to fight for the flower that was her princess~

The Weight of my pride do i really need that? Tetsuko's conflicted expression flashed just a hint of a warmth, a smile, as Elise assured her that a smiling Hero was indeed the ideal one. It wasn't something Tetsuko was yet sure on herself, but her lover's assurance did lift her spirits a bit. To know that, at the very least, there was someone who wanted her to smile. It encouraged her all the more to let herself be open around that same person... It was easiest, after all, to put on that smile, if she just had these few moments of weakness with Elise. None else.
No one else could know, how broken the mighty Tetsuko Shindou was.
As they called back to childhood memories, of knights and princesses, Tetsuko did her best to hide those memories that haunted her so. Even with Elise's research, that lingering feeling, that she would never again, the mother she had once known... It threatened to crush Tetsuko, almost every day. That the past was lost was one of her many fears, such that all she could do was feverishly fight for a future that she could control. So that this honor, this hope, this old way of theirs, could be restored.
This futile struggle, this inability to understand the immutable nature of certain events, underpinned her struggles. Struggles that would no doubt continue in the blooming city of Itako. Tetsuko could not guarantee her own complete safety during the days to come, so it was fortunate that Elise was willing to help her. The Shindou girl let out a chuckle at Elise's insistence that she be compensated, having expected as much. Of course, helping to alleviate Elise's fears was also a priority of Tetsuko's.
"Bribing? A Shindou would never do something so illegal. It's just... Encouraging." Tetsuko teased, before explaining why there was nothing to worry about it when it came to cuts and stabbing and other related injuries. They would not have the genuine blades of the Shindou family; not the ones forged by Tetsuko's own body, nor the ones created by the Kashima steel and her family's trusted blacksmith. Instead, they'd have much less deadly weapons, sparing Elise any potential heart attacks.
Tetsuko's idle musings, as she became lost in the morning sunlight, earned a response from Elise that was enough to snap Tetsuk out of her deep thoughts. She quickly turned to see Elise blushing so harshly, Tetsuko's cheeks flushing a bit too. "E-Eh? It's not that big a deal really, they just have this tradition there, and one year my parents were the couple..." Tetsuko blurted out quickly, and without much other explanation. Elise would eventually find out what was meant in Itako, of course.
Of course, Elise didn't remain flustered for long, and soon enough was teasing Tetsuko again and causing the ironblooded lass to be the one with reddened cheeks. "W-Well, of course I intend on that." The Shindou lass said, scratching her cheek and mustering all the faux confidence she could.
Soon enough, Tetsuko's parents had arrived, and they were greeted by Elise cordially, Miku smiling back at her with a soft yet still distant look. "Good M-M-Morning." She stuttered out, with a shaky smile. Masaru just give his usual gruff look and nodded. "D-Do you have e-e-ev..." Miku inquired, pausing to collect herself. Her stutter was always so troublesome. "Everything, T-Tetsuko?" The ironblooded girl, with an almost pained wince, would nod to her mother, speaking in a soft and almost delicate tone. After all these years, Tetsuko was still...
"Yeah. I packed everything into the car last night." Tetsuko explained. Masaru gave a shrug before ushering everyone along, moving Tetsuko's mother along while Tetsuko walked alongside Elise as they made their way to the car. During this little walk, it seemed that Elise had some questions for Tetsuko, namely about the city of Itako itself.
"What's it like? It's... Um..." The question was harder to answer than she would have thought. After taking a moment, Tetsuko just shrugged her shoulders lightly. "Honestly? I think it's something you have to see for yourself." The Shindou girl uttered with a light grin. The city of flowers awaited them both, but first, a brief meeting 'fore their army marched.
After getting into Masaru's old reliable car, the four of them would be transported to the Jikishinkage-ryu main dojo, the very same one that Tetsuko and Elise had visited many times before. However, there were some notable things about it this time. For one, two of its most esteemed Masters would be standing outside the entrance as Masaru pulled up. Master Ueno, looking as stiff and upright as ever, alongside one Master 'Gai', the relaxed and darker-skinned man waving enthusiastically as the car parked itself in front.
Also notable, however, was that there was another vehicle parked in front of the Dojo... A rather expensive-looking stretch vehicle, one that could hold a fair few of them to arrive with some grace.
Once the car was parked, Tetsuko would depart while her father tended to Miku, nodding her head towards the two masters standing outside the front of the Dojo.
"Tetsuko-sama." Master Ueno said firmly, not even seeming to pay much notice towards Elise. Master Gai, on the other hand...
"Tetsuko-sama, Eli-tan, it's so good to see you again~" Master Gai said enthusiastically, waving with a large smile towards Elise, and earning a roll of the eyes from Ueno.
"Like night and day..." Masaru grunted as he wheeled out Miku, who smiled softly but absently at the pair of masters. Tetsuko, eager to get on their way to the city, quickly inquired after the last one they were waiting on.
"Grandfather, is he...?"
"He's on his way out, he had to take care of something." Master Ueno interjected quickly, giving a subtle glare towards Elise. "Do be on your best behavior, Miss Eisenberg. By coming with us, you come as a representative of our school." The stern master said with a hint of venom in his words. It seemed he hadn't quite forgotten their "trial"...
Master Gai was about to interrupt, before another, deeper, and booming voice did from behind him.
Ryouichi Shindou had arrived.
"Don't worry, Master Ueno. I expect our guest to hold herself to the highest standards. Else I would not have invited her." The Grandmaster uttered, casually admitting his own hand had been it play in allowing Elise to come with the rest of the Jikishinkage-ryu lot.
"Now then... Shall we be going?"
Tetsuko felt a lump in her throat as she looked upon her Grandfather. Upon the Masters beside him. She would but one among many, larger fish in this trip to Itako... Where swords would clash, where irises bloomed.
They had many a trial ahead of them.

To her there was no treasure as precious as Tetsuko's smile, and it filled her with such warmth to know that usually she was the cause of its emergence. Nonetheless, Elise couldn't help but feel a pang of concern, a lingering worry for the state of her lover's wellbeing. Tetsuko carried such immense burdens, and even while she tried to help her by sharing some of its weight, she knew that even then the pressure upon her lover's shoulders was immense.
Elise's concern however was quickly replaced with mischievous enjoyment as Tetsuko teasingly commented about the fact there would never be such a thing as low as bribery among the Shindou, that it was rather: an act of encouragement. Of course Elise couldn't help but snicker mischievously at her lover's words, hands slipping underneath her lover's shirt once more as her fingertips danced across Tetsuko's skin, inching closer to her bosom and giving it a teasing squeeze while whispering into her ear. "Encouragement hmm? I'd have to say that is quite a term to use~" Giggling softly it seemed that at least the girl's spirit was restored somewhat.
"Tradition?! couples?!" Elise blurted in disbelief, her cheeks turning even redder. "I-Is that why I'm invited? I-Is Tetsu going to introduce her girlfriend to the people of Itako?" Still, hearing the Shindou lass mustering that faux bravado of confidence quickly earned a little giggle from Elise as she was reassured that Tetsuko would intend to do just that what she had suggested.
As they walked along the way to Masaru's car Elise couldn't help but pout playfully as she was told it was something she would best see for herself, the grin on Tetsuko's lips already earning the Germanic lass her curiosity. However, when they arrived at the dojo Elise couldn't help but curse inwardly. Why couldn't it have been Master Gai and Master Uwabami instead? No, instead she had to see that four-eyes demon who spoke firmly and seemed to ignore her presence almost entirely. Elise couldn't help but find her smile renewed at Master Gai's greeting, a playful wave of her hand following. "Master Gai~ What a pleasant surprise to see that you will be accompanying us."
Of course, being the tactful lass that she was Elise nodded her head lightly, a subtle light bow of her upper-body in a showing of respect. "And likewise, it will be reassuring to know someone with your expertise and wisdom will be present Master Ueno." Gods, she really disliked him after the events of that one day... Of course, the subtle glare her way seemed to almost stir the Eisenberg into reacting, when a loud voice boomed through the air.
"Of course Grandmaster Ryouichi, if I wish to walk beside Tetsuko that is the least that would be expected of me."
