11pm… The place was dead… The bar nestled between two shops where the entrance was barely noticeable was dead… Hell the neon sign above the entrance that advertised that the ‘Tipsy Kitsune’ was open was working right?! The only people in this sleepy mess of a bar were the passed out regulars and one asymmetrical bar woman who looked thoroughly bored as she cleaned the same glass for the 10th time in the last twenty minutes. The place was a mess, tables and chairs were strewn all over in a haphazard way, no matter how much effort was put in to arranging them the odd number and irregular sizes made it impossible to have them arranged in a symmetrical manner! The bar on the other hand was a picture of perfection, cleaned and all the hard liquor at the back was arranged to make a symmetrical pattern with one big bottle of Kraken Rum in the middle taking the pride of being elevated on a slightly higher shelf than all the rest. The mirror at the back reflected the scene that was in front of the bar and that was the only thing keeping the bar woman sane.
Certain areas of the dark varnished Teague bar were oddly a strange grey, as if the colour had never existed there at all. Only for it to be splattered around different areas, mostly by the door but there was a good few chunks of blotches here and there on the Dark tile flooring. The walls however were not touched by this oddity of an effect, they were covered in cheap anime memorabilia and art revolving around nine tailed foxes and booze. It in all was quite weird that this place was considered a dive bar… that is until everyone remembers that this place allows any and all comers… and that usually lead to tension and fights. Which might explain the odd colouration effects as the bar woman who was polishing her glass had a quirk like that.
“DAMN IT! Why do I always get stuck with a dead shift and the same drunken layabouts! It’s a week night go home! You have families, right?!” Anka had blurted out after placing the glass down behind the counter and slamming her dainty looking fists onto the wood. The small stir this had caused in one of the less trashed patrons was enough to make the dishevelled man sit up and look at his watch then fall forwards onto his table, asleep before his head made impact.
“Closing in 2 hours!” She announced before pulling out a shotglass and picking up a Vodka from behind and pouring out a double, letting her eyes move away from the door. She was bored of waiting for something to happen and needed one of the many free drinks her Employer allowed her to have whilst on the job… aslong as she was sober enough to kick trouble makers out and make sure they paid they didn’t really care.

It had been a long day of hero work, and a good few miles down wind of her usual bar Mia had been walking home just looking for anywhere she could grab a drink along the way. Her last job for the day had her in one of the seedier parts of town, but that didn't bother her too much. By now her reputation had spread enough that the big red Horn on her head was a giveway as to who she was, and in turn, that no one should really be messing with her even if she was 'off duty'.
Having dipped into an alleyway to change into her casual clothes, she was dressed in a loose white shirt, a red flannel shirt over that, and some scuffed up jeans and boots, a set of attired more common in her home of Texas than was the style in Japan, but for her it still worked and that was all that mattered. She finally caught the lit up sign of an open bar and shifted her way inside, catching a drunken patron stumbling out past her, giving him a wide miss since he looked like he might throw up if she bumped into him wrong.
Stepping inside, she took in the unusal decoration and the odd paint job going on....buuut really, she just wanted a drink. She didn't care too much about taking this in as a potential permanent spot. She dipped past a man sleeping at a table and walked right up to the bar just as the last call was being made, smirking idly and taking up a stool at the bar itself. "Hope that means I can still make an order. Don't worry, I don't plan on getting too drunk...and unlike one or two of these guys I'm pretty sure I can pay." She smirked, holding up her wallet.

*Thud* The shot glass had hit the table before the asymmetrical villain noticed the new customer striding up to the bar with a confidence that Anka had not seen in this place in days. The most she had served were the spineless men avoiding their wives, or the people down on their luck and looked just as down trodden. The horned tomboy that came in flashed a wallet and looked… well for Anka she looked pretty perfect, aside from the obvious scar on her horn the new customer was a breath of fresh air in this dump. The music player had looped the same depressive song for five runs through the night… it was time for something new. The bartender with a sly smiled picked up a remote from under the bar and pointed it to the jukebox, forcing a change, and clicked a few buttons to remove the loop. ‘I’m the kinda trouble you know you wanna get into~’ played throughout the sleepy bar and for some reason seemed to fit the scene well. Anka slid the used shotglass to the side and looked at her new, soon to be paying customer with a pleasant smile. “You can order, a paying customer is always welcomed.” She spoke, her tone soft and sweet as she leaned forwards and rested her elbows onto the bar, and her chin on to her palms, awaiting a reply. This was day seemed like it could only get better, and it was already looking as if it was. “Much more than those layabouts behind you.” She said, her tone not shifting from the kindness she had shown a second a go but the words were full of venom. “What can I get you miss? We have a special on the hard liquor today.” Anka stated, it being her obligation as the bar woman tonight. It was better to present the option of cheaper hard stuff to lull the customers into a sense of drunk security before they moved more expensive purchases. “Hell, I will take a drink with you, it’s close enough to closing that I should be sober enough to lock the door on my way out when we’re done.”

Catching the remote as the other woman across the bar pressed it for a change of song, the blonde's eyes shifted across to the Jukebox and then back to the woman flashing her a smirk. Maybe she was just changing the song for a general change of atmosphere, but the fact the first line was 'I'm the kinda trouble you wanna get into' was a firm start for making Mia feel...'welcome', to say the least. She slipped into a stool at the bar and placed her card on the bar. Even if there were only two hours to drink, this woman underestimated her if she didn't think that was enough time to be worth setting up a tab. "Put my card behind the bar beautiful, you're gonna be swiping that thing more than a few times tonight.~"
Hearing she was definitely still welcome though was more than a good start, and Mia took in a slow breath through her nose as she just took in the atmosphere of the place. Definitely a bit rundown but the girl running the joint was more than eye catching enough for the whole place to be worth a few more 'points' in the blonde's eyes. As the offer was given to her that there was a deal on hard liquor, the Oni tapped her chin, then shrugged with a smirk. "Eh, i tend to prefer a softer, refreshing beverage, but why not. Give me the hardest shit you got, in the biggest glass you got." Before Anka turned away however, she'd lift a hand to stop her and specify. "Now, to be clear, I don't mean one of the harder liquours, in one of your bigger glasses, I mean hardest, and biggest.~" She smirked a little wider before the woman turned away to sort out her order, Mia herself glancing about the remaining customers before turning back to her served drink, lifting it in a small cheers before dowing half the glass without even flinching.
As she lowered the glass, flicking her tongue across her top lip to catch the liquor there, she considered for a moment before speaking. "So, what's a girl like you running a bar like this? I usually only see girls with your looks managing the top end bars. Owe the owner a favor or something there?" She took another, more casual sip from her drink as she awaited an answer.
