i fall asleep It was at the end of the afternoon, the magical time where school was out, jobs were done but you did not have to have dinner immediately, the magical time of about four in the afternoon. She had done the shooting for the whole day, running around as Glinda of Animal Rescue Team and she had done her two hours of school after that, there was a whole, big stack of homework waiting on her but before dinner, Honey had to just be outside. The squirrel inside her or well, her nature, she already looked like a squirrel so also the outside, made her want to go outside. Dressed in a simple outfit of green shorts and a light yellow blouse and flats made her run around outside. She needed to get rid of all the energy if she wanted to be able to focus on her homework tonight.
So that was she was doing, in a corner of Tokyo park, she was running around, as if she was jogging but without actually a good rhythm or pace, running from left to right, missing the path, speaking to other squirrels up in the trees, chasing after them, going through the bushes (even when the notes on the flower perks said not to do that) and so on until: tud. She was stuck. Honey pulled, stretched, did everything she could do in her mind to continue forward until the tears appeared in the corner of her eye. Now even when you are small and even when you have short hair, it can get stuck in the thorns and vines that were around the bushes of the flower perk at the park. She had to sit herself on her ass, to not pull too much further than she already had done but by pushing and pulling and so on, she had made the mess of her hair a lot worse and to be honest, there was also a little bit of blood, thank god she was not someone to freak out because of that, but the thorns had made a little cut on her head. Trying to peal her hair out without being able to really sit it, hurting her own little squirrel ear, she made the mess even worse. In the end she simply remained seated, not happy that she had not taken her phone with her (which her mother had specifically said to do all the time) and hugging her own tail. She needed a plan C... Plan A was getting herself out, Plan B was to call her mother and now plan C was: hoping her mother would come to find her within an hour or two before dinner. If it would continue on like this: today would suck. She wasn't sure if people would pay attention to a small squirrel girl sitting in the park, she wasn't shy, but she also wasn't ready to randomly yell at a person that passed her to help her untangle her hair, she was afraid it would hurt too. There were places and activities that Hye-Rin shouldn't do.
It was obvious to anyone that knew the excitable Korean that she couldn't be left alone. Being distracted was one of her few specialties, and it had nearly gotten her killed a plethora of times. If it hadn't been for Saito or Reddarcc accompanying her wherever there might be traffic then she would have gotten flattened by a truck a great many times. It was this same brimming curiosity that brought the flower pot out and about for the day instead of staying cooped up in either her own or her boyfriend's dorm. One might think that she was lost, but the Korean had convinced herself that she was just wandering- a tumbleweed dressed in frilly pink that stumbled into Tokyo Park on complete accident.
A soft pink dress with an over-sized, knitted beige cardigan was the outfit of her choosing for a day of freedom, kitten heels clicking across the pavement as she took shorter steps than usual. Saito had always, unintentionally of course, left her in the dust if not glued to his arm. It was an exercise when it came to keeping up with the love of her life, so walking without a care to catch up with anyone left a comfortable smile on her face.
Reaching out a hand to brush against a tree to her left, the Korean's eyelids shut with a content sigh. The flowers that bloomed across her skin tingled blissfully from the sunlight cast on them, and she lifted her chin towards the sky to bask in it for a second longer. Her curious amber opened, and her smiling lips parted to breathe the first words that came to mind-
"I'm super lost...!"
Well, at least she was honest. For now, she'd try to enjoy the sunlight. After all, Saito would surely come find her!
Her eyes would shift down back onto the path, but they quickly noticed something odd. Sat in the bush just beside the tree was... a squirrel? No, not that. The girl was much smaller than herself, with a short brown bob just like her own. Atop of her head were two furry ears, and stuffed in between her arms was an even softer looking tail. There she sat- the thorns and twigs from the bush curled and caught in the girl's shiny locks of hair,"Oh! Are you alright?" The words came out on their own, the Korean's body kneeling before who she thought was an injured elementary school student before she even had a chance to process it. There wasn't a bad bone in Hye-Rin's body and putting people's well-being before her own came as naturally as breathing.
As it was, the last thing she wanted to do was for this precious squirrel girl to be scared and alone,"I'm so sorry I didn't notice you sooner! Do you need help? What's your name?" Her hands hovered hesitantly near the girl, not wanting to touch the girl unless she was alright with it being so. Besides, Hye-Rin didn't even have the slightest plan on where to even start when it came to unraveling the strands of hair from the bush's grasp.

i fall asleep Oh! Someone was close by! It was a girl and Honey her eyes fixed desperately on her, even if she could not see her very well anymore in a second because of that tree and she could not turn her head. She squeezed her tail a little and hoped that once the girl was done whatever she was doing or thinking about, she would look up and see Honey. She squeaked softly but it would not be loud enough to get attention, but after what seemed to be only short minutes, the girl indeed looked at her. Oh, those flowers on her skin were so pretty, how did that work?
When Hye-Rin asked Honey if she was alright, the squirrel shook her head, not considering why she was stuck again and she hissed a little now that the vines tangled more in her hair. Stupid. "I am stuck." She said desperately her big eyes following the pretty girl that came over to her and she squeezed her fluffy tail a little more, she looked very friendly so that was good thing for Honey! She almost nodded but right before starting the motion, she told herself not to do so and sat still, only her eyes followed the girl that came towards her. Now that rescue was close by and Honey could relax because it would fix her issue, she got a little more happy and excited. "That's okay! You are the first to come over." She grinned now hoping that the girl knew enough about plants to not hurt herself and untangle Honey's hair, maybe it was an assumption though but she believed so considering the flowers on her skin. "I am Hirano Honey, nice to meet you!" She said with the grin still on her face, she had now high hopes of being let go and that was a good thing, no weird looks of her squirrel look and her tail so that was a good thing.
Her small ears perked on top of her head trying to catch every word the beauty would say. "You are very pretty." She thus said immediately, which was typical Honey behaviour, why hide compliments, you should spill those thoughts immediately. It was a good lesson for Honey to stop playing in the park away from the path though, this would not be the last time, that was for sure, but hopefully the last time to be stuck, because this was definitely a first. The Korean listened to the smaller girl speak, nodding along with a comforting smile curved on her glossed lips,"Honey-chan? That's a very cute name!" Though the squirrel had gotten herself caught in a troublesome situation, it was up to Hye-Rin to pacify her anxious thoughts. After all, that's what being a Support Studies student was about! Seeing this as both a test of all that she'd learned during class and an opportunity to help a stranger in need, the flower pot was ready to begin untangling the fluffy bob of caramel-colored locks from the bushes merciless grip until-
"You are very pretty."
Needless to say, the Korean wasn't prepared.
Her fingers tensed and froze as she stared down into the eyes of the sweet girl, blinking surprisedly,"...Eh?" It was all that Hye-Rin could manage in the time the compliment had hit her, dots of vermilion roses sprouting across her cheeks and nose like Springtime had come once more. The skin underneath was painted red, and a flustered gulp was returned in response to the squirrel girl,"Ah... Th-Thank you for thinking so...!" The honeyed words from the tinier girl was enough to momentarily derail the flower pots train of thought and she was, unfortunately, not as quick to recover it. It was only moments later, which were filled with many missed opportunities to help Honey, that she decided just barely shook off the embarrassment.
The petals of the roses that had bloomed on the apples of her cheeks blew gently with the wind as Hye-Rin took a deep breath,"Okay, I'm going to try untangling this! Try not to move too much, okay?" As gently as she could, the Korean began her attempt at unraveling the squirrel's hair from the branches and leaves. Much to her dismay, the flower pot hardly knew anything about botany other than the buds that grew from her pores. Still, it wasn't like her to give up on helping someone in need.
After all, Honey was deserving of her effort! Such a sweet girl had no right to be captured by a shrub! |

i fall asleep Honey touched her cheeks in a happy gesture when the girl said her name was very cute, because it clearly made her happy. Her parents had picked her name hoping on international fame but at themoment she was okay with not having that and just working in the industry and the tv shows that she did. "What's your name?" Honey asked curiously to Hye-Rin because she had just jumped the gun to introduce herself and learn something about this girl, but before she could answer, Honey would already tell her that she was very pretty. She loved the little flowers that she could see from the corner of her eye. She was excited that someone would be able to help her and that this girl was so kind and pretty that she blurted it out but she felt rewarded when she noticed the flowers that sprouted on her cheeks. "OH!" She exclaimed, "That makes you even prettier! How cool!" She was almost jealous, her quirk made her a bouquet of flowers how cool and how pretty. She could not stop thinking that but that would mean that she wanted to turn her head and stare at Hye-Rin while she was tangled in this mess, it was a disaster if she did. So her hair pulled her back to look in front of her and she said nothing anymore but smiled at the student who thanked her, so modest, Honey liked her a lot already!
But now it was time to get untangled and she nodded, for three seconds than pulled a painful face and sat still. "I try!" She felt so energetic now and wanted to chitchat but she should sit still, to focus on that, she almost shut her mouth and not say a word without her noticing. She did hold her breath from time to time, at the moment it did not hurt, Hye-Rin seemed to be very careful with what she was doing, which was something that the squirrel could really appreciate, maybe after this she would learn to stay on the path, at least for a month of three before she would forget and in her enthusiasm do it again. "My name...?" The Korean's eyes stayed locked on the silky smooth locks of chestnut hair as she continued untangling Honey from her leafy prison,"My name is Kang Hye-Rin, but most people just call me Hye, I think!" There were very few friends before Japan to give her a nickname to call her own. 'Freak' and 'Weed' were common when she was growing up, but Hye-Rin had never encountered a group as welcoming and kind as her classmates at U.A.!
As the Korean watched as the squirrel girl's enthusiasm radiated out of her like a walking ball of sunshine, a smile couldn't help but crack across her lips. The same kind of curious questions and near-endless joy just from the smallest of things reminded the peanut-haired daffodil of herself, not to mention that the girl even resembled her. It was this realization that brought her to be even more careful with Honey as both her hair and the branches around her head were freed, knowing that that same warmth was as delicate as a flower and just as easily squashed down. Her touch was gentle- just as soft as the petals that adorned the Korean's face- and it wasn't long until all of the trapped hair atop the squirrel's head was untangled,"There we go!" Hye-Rin stood up, careful not to reveal anything with her dress before reaching her hands down to Honey to help her up if she allowed her to,"Now that you're freed, Honey-chan, would you like some ice cream? My treat!" There was a frozen yogurt parlor just a block away from Tokyo Park- accustomed with all the sweet toppings needed to satiate a warm day such as this one. Hye-Rin was always a kind soul, and didn't entirely realize that asking what appeared to be a child to join her for ice cream wasn't a sound plan. Though, if it was her, ice cream after getting out of a helpless situation like that would have made her happy!

i fall asleep She liked Hye-Rin a lot, she was so pretty, the good thing was that Honey wasn't jealous, she just liked her a lot and she was happy that the girl bumped into her and offered to help her as she had sat here utterly quiet to not pull the hair out of her head, right now it hurt still a bit but Hye-Rin was really slow and that was good, slow in a positive way by helping her untangle and thus hurt her barely, sometimes it pulled a little but the other girl could not help her with that. "I really like your name, it fits you very nice." She wished she got a nickname from people but Honey was different to change into a nickname and she didn't take her artist name, she was called Honey Lemon as actress because her mother had wanted to at least protect her a bit from the stalker paparazzi that could be out there but at the moment Honey wasn't too famous enough to know about her in public, this wasn't going to hit the wrong magazines yet. Maybe after making the movies. "I bet you know a lot of nice people!" She said enthusiastically now that the conversation felt a little quiet because she had been thinking about how this had happened again. She kept talking to distract herself too from the little issue that she had come into and tried to keep reminding herself that else she would not have met Hye-Rin which would be really a shame. She accepted Hye-Rin her hand when she helped her up and hugged her new friend around the middle, "Thank you Hye-Hye, I am free again, without you it would have hurt a lot more." She would have to pull herself out eventually. She looked up with shiny happy eyes when the girl mentioning getting ice cream. "Yes! That would be great Hye-nee." Immediately adopting the other girl as if she was her elder sister, they could look a bit alike, if only she had no fur on her face, Honey would probably have a pretty ivory skin like Hye-Rin, of course, she would not have the pretty flowers.
She was immediately hyped and asked the other girl where to go, looking left and right at the path that she would now carefully take to not be caught up in the other leaves and branches or thorns again, it would be a promise to herself, oh boy ice cream, this was a great day! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

Compliments were still an odd subject for the Korean. They were much more common to come across than they were back home, but it still didn't mean that she was any less embarrassed by the tricky things. Hye-Rin was still a confused and her mind always went to disbelief, but she still accepted them no less,"Thank you for thinking so, Honey-chan...!" She smiled, her cheeks flushed red with roses.
"I do! I'm a student at U.A., and everyone is really nice." The more time went on, the more that the Korean kept finding the small similarities in the younger girl. It was refreshing to find someone whose brain worked the same way as her own, and she was sure that Honey could make the world a little brighter with how kind she was! As Hye-Rin helped her to her feet, the girl thanked her graciously. It didn't help the red petals that were already scattering to the wind as they stood just in front of the shrub, and she made sure to nod and smile,"I couldn't just leave you there, silly!"
Her original plans to wander until she found something to do were fulfilled as Honey accepted the ice cream offer, calling her 'Hye-nee' in the process. Just hearing the words made her heart skip a beat and she blinked as she processed it, her hand coming up to faintly clutch at her chest. Hye swallowed back the flustered lump in her throat,"Hye-nee, huh?" A bashful and airy chuckle left her glossed lips and she smiled, patting the top of the younger girl's head,"I like it."
She'd always wanted a little sister to look after- someone to keep out of trouble and make sure a smile was always on her face. It brought fresh roses sprouting onto her cheeks, along with a smile so wide and genuine that she only ever shows to the love of her life.
When asked which direction to go, the Korean looked around at her surroundings. It wasn't too long ago that she was completely lost in the park, but she could have sworn there was an ice cream shop nearby. She'd never gone through this area of the park before, but Saito and herself had frequented the parlor whenever the day's heat became too unbearable. It just became a matter of navigating her way there...
"This way!" Hye-Rin pointed towards the trail ahead, away from the way she'd come to discover the squirrel girl trapped, and took a step forward before holding her hand out for Honey,"Come along now...! I don't want you getting lost!" |

i fall asleep Uuuhaaa Hye-Rin her quirk was making it even more prettier and Honey was lost for words when she stared at the Korean her cheeks that flushed red with red roses, how cute! It fitted her perfectly, she had obviously seen the flowers before but now that she blushed to which her quirk responded, it only got cutter, she clapped her hands in enthusiasm, but quickly learned that she would have to sit still to not make the issue worse than it already was and she pulled her little nose back forward so she wouldn't look and distract Hye-Rin from untangling her hair.
When Hye-Rin told her that she was a student at U.A. she sat utterly still and she would not know what to say. Jisa-Jisa was at U.A. and Honey wondered if she dared to ask about him, because well they had not seen each other again because she had not been able to go to Musutafu and she fumbled with the hem of her clothing before finally opening her mouth. "Hye-nee, do-do you know Jisa-Jisa?" The fact that she repeated first pieces of people their name again but she would get to that point in a second, yes hero students probably could not help but try and help out in all situations, Jisatsu had proven that point too and she was very thankful for meeting the two of them, it felt like it made her daily life a little brighter to meet people that seemed to be doing something with their life, surely she was a mini actress but not meeting a lot of people that weren't there for business was making her life a bit small and especially the circle of friends. Hopefully she could meet Jisatsu and Hye-Rin again at some point, being a U.A. student must be a very busy life too.
Honey beamed brightly with her smile when Hye-Rin patted her head and said she liked the name she had given her that made Honey happy, she wished Hye-Rin could be her real sister, so she would be less lonely but for now, they would have so much fun together and so much ice cream! She took Hye-Rin her hand happily and grinned, "I know the park very well I won't get lost." More like stuck again was a high chance. Her tail bounced behind as she skipped a little to follow Hye-Rin while holding on to her hand. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"Hmm? Jisa-kun?" Hye-Rin was, indeed, familiar with the kind little seat neighbor of hers! It hadn't taken the two long to become friends because of their complimentary personalities and all-around happy nature, so the flower pot perked up at the mention of the hare's name,"Mhm! I sit next to Jisa-kun in class! He's really sweet, isn't he?"
Once Honey was freed from her shrub prison and the Korean was finished inviting her to the ice cream parlor, Hye-Rin took the bright girl's hand. It fit nicely inside of her own- small and soft much like her own. The Korean was terribly used to her large boyfriend's even larger hand, which practically ate her hand when they held hands just like this. But now wasn't time to distract herself now that she had company.
Once Hye-Rin decided which way to head with a confident finger held in the air, the pair would set off. Her own heels would click against the pavement once more now that she was moving along now. It made her feel a bit older than she truly was. Hye-Rin had never had a real mother figure in her life, but she could imagine that this is what it would have sounded like- a child trailing at her side while her own heels made the satisfying clatter against hard floor. But, the girl would be herself in this situation... right?
Though, even now, she couldn't help but steal short glances down at the girl beside her. The furry ears that were perked up atop her head really were incredibly cute, and a content smile curved at her lips just at the thought that appeared in her mind.
I wouldn't mind having a daughter like her.
Perhaps this was the way that she had gotten lost in the first place. Daydreaming about such happy times that could possibly be her future brought an even brighter smile to her face, and she'd barely noticed that the two had wandered far enough through the park to arrive at one of it's many exits. Just across the street was the ice cream parlor she'd recalled with the faint lights on it's pastel sundae sign being outshone in the sunlight,"Ah! There it is!" The Korean would look both ways before stepping into the street. The hand that held Honey's would be tightened the entire way across, and would only loosen once both of her shorter legs were safetly on the pavement.
The front entrance was held open with a door stopper- most likely left open to keep both the customers and workers cool on such a hot day. Hye-Rin would release the squirrel's hand, letting her go first inside. A wave of cold air would hit them as soon as they walked in, along with the sickly sweet scent that only a candy shop could complete with. It was less busy than the Korean had expected it to be, but that just made it much easier to see all of the flavors to choose from past the glass,"Pick whatever flavor you would like!" The flower pot told Honey, already having her own personal favorite picked in her head. The hand that held onto the girl would hover just above the clamps of her purse- ready to open it to pay for their sweet treat!

i fall asleep Honey and her stupid big mouth, is what she thought the moment she asked about Jisa-Jisa, would Hye-Rin know him? It would be safe if she said she did not but of course she knew him, how many people would go to the new hero school right? Right? She wasn't sure at all, she was not knowledgeable about all of that, or about schools in general, she just, she wanted to see Jisatsu and right now all she could do was... well not text him as she did not dare. Eeeh? How big was the chance and Hye-nee sat next to him in class. She looked up with her green eyes at Hye-nee and nodded, yes, he was really sweet. What more should she say, she felt like her cheeks were already burning bright, yay for having a little fur skin because that would make it less obvious, though in her case: not invisible.
She was glad that Hye-R/in would take her hand and walk with her to the ice cream parlor and she was not sure what to say anymore, she was musing a bit about Jisatsu and about Hye-Rin and how it would be really cool to become a hero at all. She simply followed the girl obviously as she was holding her hand to the ice cream parlor, which made her skip a bit because she was so small and because she was excited for the possibility of ice cream! She looked up at Hye-Rin when they had to cross the street, instead of looking at where traffic was coming or not, she had no attention span for this but she had been surprised as Hye-Rin held her tightly, it definitely did not hurt but it just had surprised Honey and she also noticed when, as soon as they hit the pavement on the other side, the tight sense loosened up a little and they were just in the safe zone again and it made her giggle a little. "Hye-nee is so careful." She giggled and looked up again, now that they were close to the ice cream parlour, she had to consider what flavour she would want.
It looked so pretty inside and so cool that her tail shook from left to right and she pushed her eyes and nose to the glass to look at all the flavours, with neat little handwritten signs with what was what. She had never been to this ice cream parlour and stared at it... they had... walnut flavour and her little squirrel tummy started to churn on wanting that, she quickly looked up, "They have walnut." Her eyes shiny with the idea, "I want to try that." She also noticed her nose had left a greasy spot on the glass and she quickly found a napkin to clean with a "hehe" expression on her face, she just liked the idea a lot. "What would you pick, Hye-nee?" Curiousity would never her stop her from asking a lot after all, she wanted to know more about her newly adopted sister. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

Of course it was embarrassing to hear a child tease her about being 'careful'. Though, even as a few more flowers joined the already blooming garden at the thought, she couldn't help but realize just how attentive she was being at watching over the tiny squirrel. Never had she even thought to look after herself in the same way when something distracted her. There had only been a handful of times this week where she'd looked both ways before crossing- each time only if a friend or Saito was accompanying her across. It was odd to think that she had no regard for her own safety, but endless amounts of it when it came to someone else...
Though, that's how it should be, right?
Even now, as her amber eyes watched Honey's face light up as she looked right and left at the flavors, her heart simply melted like ice cream in Summer heat,"Hmm? Walnut?" Hye-Rin wanted to make sure that it was for sure what she wanted, asking again before stepping up to the counter. It was manned by a kind elderly woman- one both her and her boyfriend had seen countless times in their visits here- and the Korean smiled at her,"I'll have the usual please, Oba-san! And a walnut with two scoops, please!" Unclasping her purse to reach for her coin purse, Hye-Rin would count out the correct amount of money and pay it happily, even including a tip from the change that was given back to her. With a nod towards the order, the woman went to work fixing up the bowls of ice cream. She was slow, but it gave time for the Korean to look beside her to Honey,"Did you want a topping, Honey-chan?" Hye-Rin's would move to put the coin purse back into the cross-body purse on her hip, smiling down at her,"Don't worry. One topping is free!" Just as she finished speaking, the woman would finish scooping the ice creams into the paper bowls. Hye-Rin would take hers- strawberry flavor with cubes of shortbread thrown on top- and wait for Honey to give the answer to the woman. Once finished, she'd find an empty table for the two to sit and enjoy their Summer treat.

i fall asleep She had no idea that she did just embarrassed Hye-nee by saying she was so careful, after all, she had no idea. She meant it with her teasing, the fact that they were crossing the street and that Hye-Rin made sure that she was holding her hand correctly and checking left and right twice before crossing the street. She was grinning at her new friend and jumped a little up and down because she was excited to spend more time with the flower, she laughed a little at the flowers that were sprouting on her cheeks. "So pretty!" She pointed out while they were almost at the ice cream parlour. When she was walking into the ice cream parlour to see what flavours they had, looking left and right and wanting to figure out what she wanted, everything looked so nice. "Yess!" It made her hyper and she jumped up and down, it was probably her flavour favourite because she was a squirrel but she did not actually test that but it looked so interesting, she had not seen it before! "Have you ever had walnut ice cream? It sounds new, so interesting!" She said quickly while jumping up, "Wooo two scoops!" She said and clapped in her hands and stared at Hye-Rin and the old lady she made a small round to get rid of a bit of the over-excitement that was in her body. Wait for the sugar rush! She pushed her nose against the glass again when Hye-Rin asked for a topping, even getting more excited, "Oh, oh! Eh chocolate flakes!" She smiled and clapped again and she looked at the elderly lady with a happy smile and ran around again to follow Hye-Rin when she got the little paper cup, she tried to be careful to not fall and run into things and she went to sit on the chair and wobbled her legs up and down. "Aah I am so glad I know this place now, it looks great!" And she went to get the spoon and eat the ice cream, after three bites she shivered, "Brain freeze." She shivered a few times more but giggled and looked up to Hye-nee and she wanted to make it pleasant for her, but she did not know what to ask. So she went to continue to try her ice cream, it was so tasty and she loved the chocolate flakes and the walnut ice cream was the best ice cream she ever had, "Yes, this is the best ice cream ever."
