Mia narrowed her gaze just a little as the wolf tried to justify himself, but he still seemed oddly positive rather than apologetic. With an attitude like that and the black fur, the explosive quirk…Mia joked in his head he’d probably have made a rather charismatic villain, but it was mostly just an internal joke. His mouth also flapped too much to be an effective villain anyway.
“Okay, see, you say it’s good to see I don’t have an Ego, but I got NOTHING but ego from you. It’s good to showboat for an audience or something, like, I shout out loud and proud for a crowd that no one’s gonna top me. It’s part of the act, but I’m a little more open to that possibility when among just other heroes. First impression you made on me was literally turning your back on me and seeming to brag down the phone that I was gonna be piss easy to get past. If you’re playing yourself up to a mate, fair enough, play the game and all that, but ya also can’t expect me to be happy when that’s literally the first version of yourself you present to me?”
She rubbed the back of her neck, not too sure if it’d be a bad or a good thing to have them on the same day shift. On the one hand she’d be a lot less tense, and they’d each be able to see eachother as their stage personas…on the other hand he could just be equally as annoying to her…
Still…she tried to give people the benefit of the doubt.
“Alright, alright. If I catch wind you’re on my schedule, I’ll maybe drop you a call if there’s something big I could use an extra hand with.” As much as Mia loved to hold the spotlight in such a situation, team ups also did good for popularity here and there…plus helped her show off by comparing the damage she could do to another hero. Not a priority, but always a good thing to keep in mind…might put this fellas ego in it’s place too. She pocketed the card she’d been provided and sipped again from her drink.
“I usually hang out at the er…hanging gardens? I dunno, it has some fancy name. It’s that real entertainment focused place across the city. Winged woman by the name of asmodeus runs the joint. You should give it a go if ya need a good drink. Booze is top notch and the entertainment’s a nice bonus.
