The sling is getting more and more annoying by the minute. Come on now, when the hell will this arm heal up? Brandon groans and shakes his head as he heads back to his apartment after stopping by Kent's shop. He's getting tired of buying ice bags, it's taking away precious time from his weekly ramen time. He can't just keep eating cup noodle all the time...well he can, but at the same you can't just beat a beef bowl will all kinds of cut meat all surrounded by broth and noodles with some nice seasoning and other shit. Just thinking about this is making his mouth water...but he snaps out of it. He can't afford it at the moment sadly. All he can do is just finish up what he's got on the fridge then make another run at the grocery. He never did like the grocery shop, nothing much happened there.
He picks up his phone and checks the time. 9, not really a great time to be here with all what's happening...but still reasonable enough to walk back to his apartment. He lives nearby so it's not all that dangerous to be out here. Plus, if anyone even dares to try to even mug him...he can always just punch em in the chest. A kick to the groin is never used, that's just cheap and it goes against his code to go underneath the belt. Some habits die hard. He looks to the side and sees some people trying to talk to someone. They appear to be ganging up a poor shop owner, perhaps extortion? It's not uncommon for small time gangs to pat down people for their services, hell thats how he got his arm acting up all we- ...anyway. Perhaps he needs to stay away from this. So far nothing super serious nor dangerous is occurring, so maybe he can just try to ignore this.
Brandon stops, as he keeps staring from afar.
Maybe they won't do anything stupid, like drag out the guy's family or some shit. Maybe they won't threaten him with harming his family if he doesn't pay for their protection against other assholes. Maybe they won't grab his wife by the arm and their small child that appears to be 6 years old out in the open, grabbing the kid and not letting go. Maybe they wo-oh God fucking damn it.
Brandon puts up his hoodie and removes the sling and slowly approaches the group. Group of 3, no visible weapons. More importantly, no guns. This is manageable, Brandon ponders as steam pours out of the gaps of his jacket and visible mutated arm. If they had a gun then that would be a problem. They could shoot him right in the face without him even reacting, and he doesn't even have his helmet or scales active on his face. It's hard to form scales on his face, so he usually leaves it alone, plus he mainly tries to place more attention to his body whenever they want to pick out a target to shoot at. With this, he can just walk up and stop this situation. Hopefully they don't have anymore asshole friends hiding from plain view, like it's not like this is a small gang. Right? Brandon's scales grow, with some popping through his jacket.
"Alright. I think we can put a stop to this." The thugs and the victims stare at a mysterious hooded figure with a scaled arm, with slight steam pouring out of his arm. "Leave them alone, and maybe I'll go easier on you three." A growl comes out of from that figure, as if he's threatening the thugs. "You got a lot to lose here, so maybe-"
"Yeah...'bout that, kid." Brandon didn't need to turn his head to realize that there were more people behind him. So this WAS indeed a small time gang trying to exhort a small store, who would have guessed. Is he holding a gun? A tazer? A crowbar? He can't be sure, and he can't risk it...but there's really no need to. After all, once enough steam pours out, it'll start burning up the poor idiots. So for now, just stall for time. "Oh, wow. Surprise attack...very smart. I gave you guys too little credit. Most of the time, you just show up with all the crew in these kinds of situations. You just keep watch of the police, do you?...Pff. That's hilarious."
The vigilante known as Drag-On is slowly returning back to life.

Kenshin was getting stronger. He could feel it. All of those weeks of training and remembering G's teachings were really paying off. His punches had more force to them, he could do things longer before running out of breath, and his close-combat skills have gotten better. Although that training was only really meant to buff the boy's base form so that he would not be as screwed when his transformation ran out, Kenshin could feel that his quirk was getting stronger too. His armor felt tougher, his dash speed felt faster, and his sword arm felt more powerful and durable. Naturally, when one sees improvement in their abilities, they feel the need to go test out their capabilities. Kenshin was no different. He was looking for a good fight. One that could show him just how far he had pushed his limits, and how much farther he needed to keep on pushing. That was why the boy was going out on patrols more often. Wearing his usual cap and hooded jacket to conceal his very distinct hair (while also wishing he had a motorcycle helmet instead), Kenshin walked down the streets of Tokyo, keeping an eye out for anyone in need of help and criminals in need of an asskicking. A couple of minutes of walking later, and Kenshin found something. A group of people, none looking too friendly, and a hooded person with a scaly arm. Hiding behind a corner, Kenshin listened to what was happening. It didn't take long for him to put the picture together. Lowly thugs coming in to extort innocent people, and the hooded person, presumably a vigilante or maybe just a person with a good heart, calling the thugs out on their crap. The boy could not help but smile. Things were getting interesting. Stepping out of the corner and revealing himself, Kenshin called out the thugs. "Hey, dumbasses!" Naturally, this caught the attention of the ones who were just now focusing on Brandon. It was clear that they did not expect the arrival of another person, let alone what seemed to be a child. "What's the matter, can't fight someone one on one without worrying about getting your asses handed to you? Really need to have numbers to make up for your lack of brains?"Perhaps one could say that picking a fight with several dangerous thugs was just unfair and would lead to a one-sided beating. Kenshin would agree. Maybe if there were something like 20 or even 30 thugs, then it would be a bit more fair. As it was right now though, Kenshin was looking forward to kicking these scumbags' asses. That was if mister hood and scales did not mind the assistance. "I'm giving you thugs only one chance. Leave these innocents alone and get the hell out of here right now, or I'll have to beat the stupid out of you all and hand over what's left of your sorry asses to the police." Kenshin felt that it was only fair to give the one warning before coming in to serve a nice hot dish of asskicking. It was a shame that most criminals never took the boy's advice to run. | Word count: 533

While Brandon was trying to heat himself up to make these thugs burn up for a while, a voice was heard from behind them all. Brandon becomes a bit shocked at the audacity that this one figure had, explicitly trying to pick on a semi large group. He's a bit impressive. But there was something a bit...off. You see, while normally Brandon would be all gung ho about beating the shit out of these guys, he wouldn't mind any help. Especially since, you know, there's something being held up next to his head at the moment. But the tone of the voice that was spouting out these words...was it a kid? Seriously, was it a damn kid? What the hell is he doing here late all by himself? Waltzing up here and expecting that maybe the actual criminal would pay attention to anything he says? Okay, Let's assume that this kid might have some sort of powerful quirk...alight, still, the hell is he thinking do this?! He's still a goddamn kid, bro! Either that or a very high pitched adult...although with the way the thugs are acting it makes more sense to assume that this is a kid.
Murmurs going around, even letting out small jokes about this kid. It's clear that they aren't taking him serious enough. This could end badly for him...or them. The family is panicking a bit while the leader of the bunch starts outright mocking the kid. "Aw, come on now, kid. D'ya really think you can just, walk up here and expect us to listen? This is reality, kid! All of this real, just like this big ass gun I got right!" He aims his weapon at the kid...only for a hook to come out of nowhere, aimed straight at the gut. The man collapses and drops the weapon, causing Brandon to step on it to make sure no one else gets it. "Come on now. Rookie mistake here asshole: "Always have more than two...wait is this a... Slightly lifting his foot, it's clear at day that this isn't a real gun. "Pfffahahahhahah! Oh god, this is hilarious, you actually tried to threaten me with a airsoft gun! Oh man, I was just content with you burning up from the steam, but this is way more hilarious! He then kicks it away from everyone, and stares right at the kid. Slightly hot steam pours out of his forearms, using it as a smokescreen. It's enough for the thug that was holding the family to be distracted enough to let go, causing the family to retreat back in the house. Listen up, idiots. You too, dumbass kid. I'm tired today so let's just wrap this up quickly. He then readies himself in a boxing pose, and runs up to the nearest thug and quickly delivers a right hook, knocking them to the ground. "Huh...this arm ain't hurting that much....Heh. He readies yet another punch, when he sees a thug trying to enter the small store. "No you don't, asshole. He runs up and grabs the guy at the collar, then head butts him. The impact from the slightly visible scales on his forehead is enough to daze the man without hurting him too much, giving Brandon enough time to get another gut punch in. "Alrigh, who's ne-"
Brandon stares at several thugs on the ground, and others trying to fight off this kid. When he thought this kid might have had a quirk...he didn't really expect this to happen. He was assuming at the very least some sort of power quirk. This though...this was unexpected to say the least. "The hell?" He growls out in confusion.

Of course no one was going to take the fourteen-year-old boy seriously. Honestly, who would in this situation? However, this did not really bother Kenshin all that much. He was used to being looked down upon. And that was perfectly fine. It just made it all the more satisfying when they get their ass handed to them by a mere kid. It always felt great to take those arrogant kind of people down a peg or several. And then once they took the boy seriously, then he could expect a good and challenging fight. Of course, that was if these thugs had any semblance of competence. Kenshin merely raised an eyebrow when the guy who seemed to be the leader of the group tried to pull a gun on him. Did this guy really have to try to be threatening by pulling out a gun? On a kid no less. That was just pathetic. However, the boss had no time to actually do anything with the gun as hooded guy came in and knocked him down to the ground, making sure no one could get the gun. Kenshin resisted the urge to just laugh at the fallen man. "What's the matter? Need a gun to actually try to threaten a kid? How sad."And then it was revealed that it wasn't even a real gun. Now Kenshin could not resist laughing. "Ahahahaha! Are you freaking serious? Man, I thought you were stupid, but this is reaching new levels of..." Kenshin was cut off when a thug tried to run up and punch the boy. Ducking, Kenshin extended a leg to make the man trip and fall on his face. "...pathetic." Two more thugs ran up to the boy. "Speaking of pathetic..." Kenshin moved out of the way of the first, landed a hard punch to the gut on the second, and aimed a kick at the first thug when he tried to approach from behind. The thugs were surprised. How could a little kid punch and kick so hard? One of them got up and tried to go after Kenshin again. That only resulted in the boy punching the man's gut and sending him down to the ground once more. "My advice? Stay down." Kenshin was smirking. These guys were total pushovers! He didn't even need to use his quirk yet! Still, he would not fall for the trap of underestimating his opponents, no matter how weak and pathetic they seemed. Kenshin took a moment to glance over at the hooded guy to see if he needed assistance. It appeared that he was more than capable of holding his own, so Kenshin went back to focus on the thugs that were surrounding him. "Man, you idiots sure are persistent." He then heard the hooded man speak, referring to the thugs as idiots. However, he also referred to Kenshin as a 'dumbass kid', which made the boy roll his eyes. Still, the man's suggestion wasn't a bad one. Wrapping things up quickly sounded good to the boy. But then the thugs tried to attack the boy while hooded man was talking. The thugs all made the mistake of running toward Kenshin at the same time, so the boy lowered himself to the ground and tripped all four thugs with one sweep of his leg. Man, G's training is doing wonders for my asskicking skills, the boy thought to himself. "Alright, since you dumbasses seem to be hard of hearing, I'll say it once more. And pay attention this time." Kenshin looked down on the fallen thugs. "Stay the hell down. If you get up again or try to move, I'll have to actually use my quirk."The boy then looked over to the family to see if they were safe. Seeing as they had already retreated to their home, it was safe to say that he did not need to worry about their safety anymore. The boy smiled. This was good. Now to finish up here and anonymously alert the police to come pick up these dumbass thugs. Oh, and make sure that hooded man continued to not need any assistance. | Word count: 690

The family stares from the door window, seeing what will happen next. The fact that these two vigilantes came to their aid was unprecedented. Not even the police bothered to give them the time of the day. Some of the thugs remained on the ground, unable to more. Was it out of fear, to avoid getting punching in the gut again? Or was it out of complete shock that a kid drove them to the ground in a few seconds. If anything, it would make Brandon a bit unnerved to see a kid this age actively seeking out crime to stop on their own. That's something idiots do, and that means that Brandon is the perfect fit for this role. But a kid? A literal kid? The hell is wrong with him? Did he even have a quirk? Sure he said that he didn't have to use his right now...but the point remained, he could have gotten severely hurt if he wasn't paying attention.
He cracks his neck as he stares at the remaining assholes. Hazard begins to shake, cueing him to realize that his normal time is up. Anymore and his arm will go a bit haywire. He shakes it off and continues to walk up to the kid. Some idiot tried grabbing onto his leg, but as any person knows, when you're on the ground you leave yourself open to a surprise attack, and to be fair, at this point ya honestly deserved it. A swift kick to the head and the guy's knocked out. Alright then, lets get back to business.
The leader of the small group is struggling to stand up. Brandon helps him out by grabbing him by the collar. "Alright then. How about we make a little deal. You leave this little store alone, or me and that asshole...Hey what's your name, kid? A snarky reply introduced the kid to Brandon as Red Edge. "Yeah, him. Either you leave that family alone, or else your 'reputation' will sink way further down below the depths of the...depths of the...you're gonna have a shitty time with your friends is what im sayin." He pushes the man away, and with a signal, he tells his men to get the hell away from these two. The crew who were able to move obliged, while the others remained on the ground, unable to move. Brandon sighs as he shuffles over to the kid...and proceeds to yell at him and punch him in the shoulder. "What are you, stupid?" He growls at him. "That's my job ya know, don't need any kid to go around and risk getting hurt over some dumb out of nowhere bullshit." He shakes his head. "Now listen, I'm gonna go check out the family and I get back these fuckers better be gone...and so will you. Alright?" Brandon turns his back only to see a struggling young man trying to aim the airsoft gun he picked off the floor. He probably could pass as 17. Are you serious, man. Brandon shakes his head in disappointment. "See? This is what can happen to you. You can end up like this goddamn idiot trying to shoot us with a fake gun." Brandon looks at the kid and rolls his eyes. "What do you think we should do with him?" He humored the kid a little. It was obvious that at this point the kid wouldn't listen to him, plus he can't deny that the actually has some great moves and good training behind that attitude of his. With the way he's been slacking off on his training, there's no point in trying to pick a fight right now....no that will come way way way later.
----
The gang leader growls at himself and starts yelling at someone from inside a van. "Listen..I'm gonna need some real backup for this from you..." He steps back for the door to slide open, with someone stepping out. "So much for an easy job, huh?" The man snarks at him. With a resigned sigh, he tells them where the shop is, and the man grabs a crowbar and loads a taser. "Intimidation time's over. Time for the fun part."

Kenshin honestly could not tell whether he should be disappointed or relieved at how much of a joke these guys were. On one hand, it meant that there was no longer anything for the family to worry about, as this 'threat' was easily taken care of. But on the other hand... was that really it? Was this all these thugs could do? It was a shame that the boy could not get a real workout. Oh well, it was probably for the best. No fight is worth putting the innocent in harm's way. The hooded guy began talking. Kenshin decided to just remain quiet unless he was addressed. That did not take very long, however, when the hooded guy asked for the boy's name. "Just call me Red Edge." Kenshin doubted that the thugs would listen, but he hoped that they took hooded man's advice to leave the family alone. Otherwise, they'd have to suffer the humiliation of getting beaten by a kid for a second time. Surely these idiots aren't completely brainless, right? Then the hooded guy walks over to Kenshin... and punches his shoulder while essentially scolding him. To say Kenshin was surprised was an understatement. The hell? I just helped your ass handle these goons, and this is the thanks I get? His expression shifting to an annoyed look, Kenshin waited for the hooded man to finish until he replied. "Okay, five things. First, ow. That's not how you thank someone for lending a hand. Second, this isn't my first rodeo. I've been kicking criminal ass for almost a year now, and I don't need a lecture from anyone. Third, you could at least introduce yourself. Or would you like me to refer to you as Hood Guy? Fourth, wouldn't it be wiser to have the cops show up to make sure these morons don't just escape and go on to hurt others? I'll leave once I make sure these scumbags are taken into custody. And fifth, I don't know. Lump him in with the rest of them?"It was sad to see someone so young be with these idiot thugs. Still, Kenshin did not feel too bad. The guy made his choice. Everyone makes choices, and he chose to do crime. It wasn't his concern if someone chose to not do the right thing. Kenshin was far more concerned with making sure these thugs would not be escaping anytime soon. Unfortunately, it seemed as though the trouble was only just getting started. | Word count: 416
Notes: A punch to the shoulder. No other way to start a conversation can top that.

"Yeah sure, call me Hood Guy." Brandon laughs a bit as his scales start to recede back into his body. He then stops laughing as he starts to cough a bit. Crap, ran out of time. With a sore throat he looks at Red Edge. "P-police huh? Sou-COUGH, sounds good to me. I jus-just wanna make sure the family's alright before leaving, you get that, right? Like you said, not your first time." He then looks at the kid shaking but still aiming at him, his throat still burning up. Usually, this wouldn't be a major problem if he came prepared. Maybe some water bottles, a wet rag, anything can work good. Maybe not wearing this huge hoodie would be good, perhaps even bringing his helmet. But unfortunately for Brandon, he didn't plan on doing this and he just finished his only water bottle an hour ago.
"You heard the kid, dumbass. Stand down or join the rest on the ground. At least if you give up now, you can pretend to the others that you managed to beat up some vigilantes before being arrested. S-sounds good, huh?" He's making a show of it, but to anyone it sounds obvious that he's struggling to remain intimidating. Unfortunately, the kid is starting to pick up on that fact. Aiming the gun at Brandon, he musters enough courage to try to pull the trigger. If he aims right, even a Airsoft gun can do a lot of damage. It can take someone's eye out or burst someone's ear drums, among many other possible end results. A gun is a gun, no matter the end result.
"Alright then, d-don't do anything you'll regret." He reaches out his mutated arm in front of him, just in case he does decide to shoot. And shoot he did, as that one comment made the kid pull the trigger and and at Brandon's head...but since he has no idea how to aim it didn't his head. Instead, it hit his shoulder. "AH-GODDAMN IT DUDE." He growls a bit, then walks up to the guy and punches the kid to the ground with his non-hurt arm. "A-awwww....goddamn it." The kid scurries off, past Red Edge. "T-these kids nowadays are finding new ways to kick my ass..." he rubs his shoulder. "At least that's all of...huh." He looks past Red Edge. "Hey kid, are those your friends?"
Three men walk in. Only holding a crowbar and a tazer, another with something in his pocket. The previous leader hides behind them. "Hey there, idiots! I see you met my new friends!"

Upon hearing the hooded guy talk, Kenshin could not help but raise an eyebrow. Hearing the guy cough and sound less and less intimidating raised several alarm bells in Kenshin's mind. Was something wrong? What was happening with Hood Guy? Was it something to do with his quirk? The boy could only guess what was wrong. Still, he could sort of relate in a way. Nothing sucked more than beating up criminals only for his transformation to wear off. That was why Kenshin always tried to finish his battles quickly. Sadly, he could not always do that, and in those cases, he would be forced to fight without his armor. Was it a similar case with this guy? Regardless of what it was, things were only getting worse as the kid suddenly raised his gun towards Hood Guy. Shit! Kenshin began to think of ways to get that gun out of the kid's hand. Sadly, he doubted that there was anything he could do on such short notice that could get the gun away without the thug pulling the trigger on someone. Damn it! And of course, the kid fired anyway. Fortunately, he was a terrible shot, shooting Brandon's shoulder rather than his head. And the shot did nothing to stop Hood Guy from going over to punch the kid. Unfortunately, the kid began to flee. Of course Kenshin was not about to let the thug just leave so easily. However, there was a problem. As soon as Kenshin turned around to try to give chase, he noticed the presence of three men. They were armed and did not look friendly at all. The boy doubted that these three would just let him give chase to the kid that was presumably their ally. "Shit." Kenshin muttered. After hearing Hood Guy's question, Kenshin rolled his eyes. As if he would ever befriend idiots like these. "No, and from the looks of it, I doubt they're your friends either." Still, it was not all bad. Maybe these guys would prove to be more of a challenge. Perhaps the boy would actually have to use his quirk here. From the looks of it, it was getting more and more likely with each passing second that Kenshin would not be able to hold off on using his quirk for much longer. "Alright you dumbasses, listen up! You can either turn around and get lost, or you can end up on the floor like your buddies there. And unlike with them, I won't be holding back. The choice is yours."Kenshin then addressed Hood Guy. "Yo, you're still good to fight? Or would you rather I keep them off you if you need a moment or two?" Either way, it seemed that a showdown was looking to be inevitable. | Word count: 464

Brandon look at the group of guys who just showed up. This really isn't a good thing to have happened now, he really needed a break. His temperature is rising due to his mutated arm's letting out more excessive steam than usual, as if it didn't get the memo yet. Steam is starting to pour again from underneath his torn up jacket, causing him to roll up that sleeve to just keep it from accidentally burning him to death somehow. He really didn't need this happening about now, and if he keeps fighting there's a risk he'll suffer a serious fever or worse...BUt still, if he doesn't then that family could get hurt over what he did...he can't let that happen.
"Oh, please, kid, all ya did was get lucky." The scared man cockily states from behind his goons. "All those you two beat up were just the rookie dumbasses who just started out in this perfectly legal business, and Im' fraid ya pushed yur luck too early! This is why ye gotta pay attention to wha' you're seeing!" One of them readies a taser and another a crowbar. "It's better to just leave things be, you know. And now, you all are gonna pay the price." He finally takes out what appears to be a heavily modded airsoft gun from the black market.
Leave things be? That's goddamn BULLSHIT! Brandon growls hearing this, and his scales on his active arm start slightly moving around. He can't just leave things be...he can't! Every time he tries to just move on and just try to ignore all this stupid shit, he just keeps getting dragged in, he can't leave things be! It's not in his damn nature! And now, among everyone here, the guy who's hiding has the goddamn gall to try to pull this kind of shit?! It almost makes him laugh. In fact, it did.
"Pff-ehehehehhahahaha...." Brandon lets out a small chuckle. "I dunno, that k*COUGH*-kid did pretty good, probably better than me, and def. better than you." He smirked a bit and looks back at Red Edge. "I t-think I got some fight left in me for the smaller guys. At least before I collapse of heatstroke...not the first time that's happened." He lets out a small chuckle, admitting to needing help. "How about you show me w-why they call you Red Edge, huh?"
The leader's holding a modified airsoft gun, so its most likely able to shoot real bullets. A guy has a taser, other has a crowbar, and others have whatever they have. This seems like a fair fight.

Of course these thugs would be arrogant, looking down on the boy and mistaking his skill for luck. Well Kenshin did warn them. The others were weak, so he did not even need to rely on his quirk. But these guys? When Kenshin said he was not going to hold back, he meant it. "Looks like you made your choice. Too bad for you. Don't blame me for what happens next."But before going into asskicking mode, the boy listened to Hood Guy. And oh jeez, he did not sound like he was doing so well right now. Heatstroke?! Shit! Alright, then there was only one thing left to do. Kick these punks' asses, leave them for the police to deal with, and make sure Hood Guy was gonna be fine. Kenshin began to grin. "Sure thing." He then looked at the guy holding the airsoft gun. Alright, time to kick some ass! "Henshin!"The boy's quirk activated, instantly covering the surface of his body with the green grid of lines. On top of this grid, his red armor quickly materialized. Once that was done, Kenshin began to dash toward the three armed thugs. With the enhanced speed his quirk granted him, it would have been surprising if any of the thugs were ready for someone coming at them this quickly. Kenshin's first targets were the thugs with the ranged weapons. Taser guy and gun guy was the main ones to watch out for. Crowbar guy was less of a threat to Kenshin, but was not someone to be taken lightly either. With a quick punch to the stomach, Kenshin aimed to disarm and take out either gun guy or taser guy, whichever one was closer. Then he would immediately dash to the other guy, aiming to kick the weapon out of his hands before punching him too. Then Kenshin stared at crowbar guy. Extending his right arm, Kenshin focused and transformed that hand into his signature red sword of hard light. With a grin, Kenshin then dashed towards crowbar guy to engage him one on one. "How confident are you with that stick you're holding?"A crowbar wasn't a sword. But it was close enough in function to one. Like two samurai clashing blades, Kenshin swung his blade at the crowbar. Kenshin doubted that the thug was as skilled at using a crowbar as Kenshin was using a sword. With a hard swing, Kenshin knocked off the crowbar out of the thug's grip. Following that up with a kick to the chest, Kenshin knocked the guy to the floor. "I did warn you idiots that I was done holding back."To the others, perhaps Kenshin might have been coming off as arrogant. The difference between him and the thugs, however, was that Kenshin's words were not mere bragging. He had the skill and power to back up the talk. Still, he doubted that these thugs were giving up so easily. They were already getting back up, picking up whatever weapon they had dropped. Kenshin smirked. "I do hope you plan on actually trying this time. Don't make this too easy for me!"Kenshin then glanced back to Hood Guy, giving him a thumbs up with his left hand. If the hooded vigilante was still worried about the boy for some reason, then perhaps this would be more than enough to prove that there was nothing to worry about. | Word count: 569

"No no no no no, this wasn't-this wasn't suppose- I-was TOLD, THAT THIS WA' BE AN 'SY JOB, AND YA'LL JUST FUCKNG RUINED IT!" An Osaka accent starts slipping through the gun man as the young boy starts transforming. Guessing even idiots knew about this guy's reputation. It took Brandon a while but memories of Kent telling him about a red-armored guy popped in his mind. "...Ah." It has come to light that in the end, the person with the most experience was him. These kids are just getting stronger and stronger, aren't they. First that dragon chick, then that bear kid, then that wind kid...sooner or later they'll just be surpassed in an instant. He laughs a bit over this thought, along with some coughs and more sweat dripping down his head. He really needs some water about now. Otherwise he'll just be like these poor basterds: laying on the ground wondering where they went wrong. Maybe he should stop punching them then, Brandon smirks as he finishes up jabbing some goons in the stomach.
The guy with the taser was immediately brought down by the swiftness of Red Edge, causing the leader to freak out more. "S-sta' back! I GO-I GOT A GUN, DAMN IT! I WONT HESITATE TO SH-" The gun was kicked out of his hands. He stands there sweating up a storm as Red Edge prepares for another attack "U-uh, I got peopl-" He was punched, driving him to the ground. For all his talk, all of his bark, the man had nothing else to say after being forced on the pavement, as if he were yet another poor mook. It says something that the guy with the crowbar was, by comparison, better than the lot. And "by comparison,' that means "didn't lose in 2 seconds." No, he lost in 3 seconds.
Not to say the man didn't give up. Crow-bar grabbed the leader-in-name-only's gun and slowly gets back up, gripping his crowbar. Some sort of grin was plastered onto his face, as if he was awakened with a sort of battle frenzy. Was he deluded into thinking he could take on a vigilante? Was he hit in the head as he fell to the ground. Nevertheless, he had more courage and guts than his supposed leader, who remains on the ground whimpering. Other goons start slowly amassing, just as Brandon starts to punch other one down. "Serio-serious-seriou-" He starts hacking up nothing, already at his limit. But that won't stop him, not by a long shot. "Y-you'r eembaressing yourselves! Co-come on!" He forces a grin at them, not treating them seriously and giving Red Edge a thumbs up. All these idiots, all of these fools deluded into thinking they're able to handle even this kid...they have no idea, don't they?
From inside the store, the owner stares through the window. He couldn't believe his eyes. For months he has asked and begged the police to help him, but the ones to reply weren't belonging to the law, but to vigilantes. It seemed like a fantasy of sorts.

Kenshin looked at all the thugs that were choosing to get back up rather than staying down. The boy had to admit that their persistence was something else. At least they were not quitters. Fighting to the very end, despite not standing a chance against the armored vigilante. Now that was something Kenshin could find admirable. It would have made these guys worthy of respect were they honorable opponents. Sadly, that was not really the case for these thugs. Oh well. At least the boy would not feel bad beating these scumbags to the ground again. With a dash, Kenshin began to attack the crowbar guy again, being careful to randomly move from side to side as he moved in to avoid any possible shots from the thug's gun. Even if the boy's armor was likely tough enough to withstand any shot from that gun, Kenshin was not about to take any chances. One swing of the boy's blade aimed at the gun itself, whether to knock it out of the thug's hand, break the gun to make it unusable, or both. Regardless, the thug was now one gun short, and thus even easier to take down. A few sword swings made quick work of crowbar guy. Once he was down, Kenshin then went after anyone who still wanted to try to put up a fight. In about a minute, it was all over. All of the thugs were knocked down once again. The boy was beginning to feel a bit tired, but he was more than capable of continuing to fight should these morons choose to keep on going. "Don't even think of trying to get back up again, unless you want another asskicking. Just give up." Kenshin hoped that he hit the thugs just hard enough to knock some sense into them all. They had lost. The only real option they had now was to wait for the police to come pick them up. Kenshin then looked at Hood Guy to see how he was doing. There was something wrong for sure. Still, there was not much to be gained by asking if he was alright. Besides, Hood Guy knew himself better than anyone, so unless he was being stubborn as hell, he was probably not at his limit just yet. Maybe he was almost there? In any case, now was not the time to worry about him. "Hey, you got a rope, or cuffs, or something to restrain these guys with? I'll probably call the cops soon if the family inside hasn't done so already. I just want to make sure they don't try to escape before the police come pick them up." Naturally, Kenshin had no interest in sticking around once the police arrived. Not that he was afraid of them, but the police did have that nasty habit of trying to arrest the people who made their jobs a lot easier. It was a shame, because Kenshin would not mind them otherwise. "So Hood Guy, you want to split before the police come? And maybe go someplace to take it easy? No offense, but you look a bit crappy right now." Of course, Kenshin made sure that he was keeping a close eye on the thugs in case they tried anything. He was not going to let them slip away. | Word count: 555

He stares at the kid and then at all the people on the ground. "...Fu-fuck if I know, man...they probably got some stuff in the trash to tie them up....Gah..." he slightly stumbles and tries to lean on the wall. He's really tempted to remove the jacket, but at the same time...it's not quite a smart move. He can't really risk exposing his face right now. Not due to fear of getting caught or attacked by them later down the line if he ever sees them again...but he really doesn't want to put up with this bullshit with this kid. He's gone long enough with putting up with kids stronger than him...don't need another one to remind of him that power gap. Plus, if he knows his face...it would be really awkward.
"As for me...I'mma...I'mma head out...no use sticking here..." he moans in a dull tone. It's starting to get to him. He really needs to get out of here. "You're right 'bout one thing...I really feel like shit right now...gaaaaaah." He shakes his head, with some noticeable sweat dripping from his forehead. His mutated arm is starting to let out some excess steam. Once again, he's pushing it. He can't let that happen again...he can't. Not again. "Nice me-meeting ya, Edge. Not bad for a kid..."
The owner of the store peaks out of the door. He appears to be whimpering out a sort of thanks. He looks at him, and just sighs. "Kid you...you handle this shit...I'm done h-here." He waves them off and attempts to leave with grace. Instead he almost trips himself, but manages to get back his footing. In a minute he was gone.
The owner looks at the young man. "..Th-thank you, w-we could't pay them in time...thank you two so much." He appears to be trembling, almost at tears.
The leader of the team can only groan in pain in response.

Bad news: There was not really anything that could be used to restrain these thugs. Good news: The boy still had more than enough time to maintain his transformation to make sure none of these thugs tried to escape arrest, as well as dash away when the police did show up. So overall, everything was looking good. Well, not for the thugs. Jail time was really all they could look forward to at this point. From the looks of it, Hood Guy really did need to go. He was not looking so well. It was unfortunate that Kenshin had to meet him like this. The boy had no doubt that Hood Guy was a lot stronger, but was just screwed over by the bad circumstances. Perhaps one day, Kenshin could see Hood Guy at a hundred percent. That would undoubtedly be a badass sight to see. But until then, it was time for the two vigilantes to part ways. "Ciao for now, Hood Guy."Upon seeing the store owner come out and thank the two vigilantes, Kenshin smiled and gave the guy a thumbs up. "Always happy to help. You're safe now. And if these idiots have any friends who try to cause you any trouble, I'm always around the neighborhood, so I'll be here to kick their asses too. And I'm sure Hood Guy will have your back as well."Once the police were called and on the way, Kenshin stayed for a bit just to make sure the thugs didn't try to flee. One of the more stupid ones tried anyway, but he was quickly stopped with a punch to the gut. As soon as the sirens were heard and getting louder, it was time for the boy to head out. "Have fun in jail, losers." And with a dash, Kenshin was out of there within seconds. Another one bites the dust. Kenshin figured it was time to head on home now. But if another crime scene caught his attention on the way, then he'd make a quick stop there and help kick ass. | Word count: 346
