Hi Guys!
So judging by the explosion in discord, there's a few things that people want to address with the new site skin. If you notice anything buggy, or anything that might benefit the skin as a whole.
I don't want to hear any negativity about how this or that is shit. I want constructive criticism only.
No, we are not going back to the old skins, no we will not have another 12 skins. To be quite frank, you guys aren't the ones having to update multiple different skins. We will have a LIGHT theme and a DARK theme only.

I think the light skin could use a bit of tweaking! Specifically, I think it's too light, and would be helped a lot by more contrast. I think the top of the page (with the site directory and links to go where you came from) works a lot better, mostly because of the black text. Black goes with everything. On a side note, maybe I just never noticed, but being able to navigate from that lower bar is really neat! I think the Bakugou side of the blank space is fine, but the first time I looked at the Deku side of the page, I felt my pupils contracting. Somebody else had to point out to me that there's white dividers between the subforum boxes on the front page. It's too darn bright and while posting is still very managable, I think I'll be sticking to the dark theme for now. (Also, I'm pretty sure this is just a 'me' problem, but my character name is too long for the font/size and awkwardly gets shoved down onto a new line. Sad.)
(Also also, posting this makes me realise that some posts end up being grey on white and I think that's not too great for reading either! Contraaaast!)
(Also also also, it's really not a related or important thing but this makes me really want to see a full-on minimalist theme. I see elements of it in the default pictures and staff pictures up top, and it makes me want to see it doubled down on across the site!)

First of all: I love the colours, I love the profile/hover picture and the hover information! It looks so cute with the pictures in there and yes for app and tracker in there, that was so bothering in the old one as it copied the heart, cloud and book and made it double, so yay for fixing!
Things I did notice is that OCD wise the hover information is too long, but I wonder if that's because of the last link, should we all remove that and the problem is fixed? Also some profiles have 0 EXP in the top left corner of their profiles, such as yourself and for example Junko. The names are cut off: Crim - Son. Chim - Era. And for my own eyes (I do have to admit I am not having my glasses on my nose) on the starter page/home page, the light blue of the topics that was last post in, are quite difficult to see. I wonder if the text could be a little bit bigger as on the home page the names of characters and so on look small while in posts they look fine. Same goes for the dark text on the right that explain what the section is for (the reply section that is).

Is there a way to make the new skin formatted like the dark skin? I love the graphics of the new skin, but really liked/like the newer proboards format of the old skins/the dark skin. Plus in the new skin all of the avatars and stuff are busted because it's the older format. If it's too difficult a change that's fine. I just believe that the newer proboards format looks way better and it would be better to have both skins in the same format.

Honestly, having light colors on light colors just does not look good, and makes everything needlessly hard to read. That's my one major issue with the new theme, there's minimal contrast and no real definition to subsections so it all just kind of muddles together despite being designed to look less bulky, unlike the old format which was clear and easy to read on most if not all of the themes. A bit thicker font would be nicer on the subsections to make them a bit easier to read, maybe a slightly darker color for the lettering so there's a bit more contrast, so I'm not straining my eyes to read it.

No. Old skin is being abandoned completely, and if you read what I posted on Discord, there will be a Dark theme in THIS format. I jsut left the old one temporarily because some people can't look at light themes.

Honestly I think the only thing making it 'too light' for people is the background. By all means if you find a nice background with the same thematic colors link me and I will change it (Greens, like Deku's hero costume) As for the white lines... those aren't actually supposed to be there ^.^;; I'll fix that... eventually. As for the character name issue, it's not a you problem. for some reason the mini profile here breaks, when it looks just fine on the test site. Not sure WHAT is wrong... probably interference with one of the plugins. Am looking into it. I also know about the grey text thing. Every other post uses grey, which apparently is a default setting of the skin. again, will fix. First of all: I love the colours, I love the profile/hover picture and the hover information! It looks so cute with the pictures in there and yes for app and tracker in there, that was so bothering in the old one as it copied the heart, cloud and book and made it double, so yay for fixing! Same goes for the dark text on the right that explain what the section is for (the reply section that is). So I am looking into why the link itself is posted in the mini profile, since it should come up just saying APPLICATION. then you click on it and it takes you to the application itself. Again this is something that works fine on the test site. Asking for constructive you butt, not "This sucks" *insert mad face here* I also don't share the same view that it looks bulky. In my opinnion, the previous site skin was bulky and was the major reason for the change. The text will also be changed to black when I figure out how. the dark skin /old format's sidebar images are now busted. otherwise im down for the change. Of course they are, because the code is being changed to fit this site skin, so now things aren't lining up for the old skin. It's just remporary.

I think you mentioned fixing it but the text colors when going to the sections on site are a little blinding and hard to read to the point I strain my eyes to have to read it(or have to zoom all the way in to get a glimpse of what it is supposed to be). Although i do like this theme a lot more than the default one before (it was hard to navigate and the colors seemed a little "eh"). Other than what was previously mentioned i see no issues with the skin and it does look nice overall!

One suggestion I think should be made is to change the subforum names to black, meaning changing it to #000. I also noticed in the code itself, this circled area is in a bunch of muddled, unnecessary coding. Just change the code to be this. This not only cleans up the code a great deal but it allows you to actually code in my second suggestion - adding dark grey borders to the bottom of each row of cells. In order to add the grey borders, change the code to this. This is what it should look like after. If you do all these changes together, this is what it will look like. In my honest opinion, this is better. A few changes to the current light theme would make it look a lot better. There's no need to completely overhaul it.

I liked the old skins waaaay more than the new one. I do not understand the reason for the sudden change but I know I personally dislike it. The new one simpy feels way wayyyyy cheaper looking. Besides, I think at least the black one could be kept as legacy. The new skin is just not aesthetically pleasing at all. To me this looks like a MASSIVE downgrade compared to the old one. It gives wayyy less info, has wayyy less cool character images and it blends everything together with green on green colors that makes it hard to read. Here is my problems with it summed up in comparison to the old one in this side by side img I cooked up. As I said, it is not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It's way too minimalist for the sake of being minimalist. As far as I am concerned, I like the old one better. It can be improved for sure, it's just that right now it's really lackluster compared to the old one. I hope this helps improving it if we're keeping it.

Some times they'll add random lines that seem to do nothing, but somehow make sure the whole thing doesn't fall apart.

That's nice Yusu, but again im not looking for anyone to say how 'shitty' the new skin is. The switch is permanent, and we aren't going back. There were about 12 other skins, and no way in hell i was going to do regular updates on every single one any time 1 little thing needed to be changed. Please make sure to actually read the instructions to a thread before posting ^.^ Thanks.

It's kinda hard for me to type out exactly what needs to be changed because I can't really access the theme editor for the site itself, to do what I did above, I just did inspect element and toyed around for a bit. Still, I can help point out some of the code that is responsible for so and so if you'd like me too and tell you how to fix it or change it if you'd like. Also, another suggestion. Besides just the light and dark theme, would it be possible to add in a large light theme and large dark theme? I'd like the option to have the wrapper (the actual site itself) be much larger than it is now. Something along the lines of 1300px rather than the current 950px.
