Flashpoint: Nakano
The Japanese Hero Program has put new vigor into the Tokyo Police Department (Keishicho), but large-scale cooperation between Keishicho and Pro Heroes has yet to be tested. With the triumph and hope for the future from the UA Sports Festival fresh in public minds, the Government has decided this is the perfect time to unveil a new initiative: Heroes and Police, working side-by-side to bring order to Tokyo’s most dangerous neighborhoods.
Keishicho has set their sights on the Nakano district, an infamous den of vice, at heart of which is the Broadway Shopping Arcade--a massive mall where nearly anything can be bought. For decades, Nakano has been controlled by the Inagawaro Family, a Yakuza group that has basically become the local law. The Inagawaro Family sell drugs, weapons, and flesh, while collecting “dues” from locals for protection.
Meanwhile, a third party--the Railworker’s Union--has found themselves caught in the middle of this brewing conflict. Formed in the decades Nakano was considered too dangerous to operate in by the police, the Railworker’s Union is an organization of average, working-class citizens organized into a loose-knit “neighborhood watch” to keep the neighborhood safe. While they’re no friends of the Inagawaro clan, they also aren’t too fond of the police running around--many of the Railworkers are small-time criminals, and decades of corruption have shattered their trust of the law.
Stage One:
This event begins with a three-sided PvE event with a PvP element. Tomorrow, a “Nakano” forum will open, and players can begin to explore a new side of Tokyo, and align themselves with a faction. In addition, there will be signup threads for faction “missions,” moderated by storytellers.
When flashpoint threads are submitted for grading, they should be specially tagged as “Nanako: Faction”, with the organization the character is aiding in the thread in place of the faction.
At the end of the month, the faction with the most XP will “win” the first stage, and gain control of Nanako.

FAQ:
Wow, I noticed these factions line up pretty well with Hero, Villain, Vigilante. Who do I support?
- You can support anyone you want to, baby. Even different factions in different threads, you dirty two-timer. Just make sure when you submit your thread for grading to add “Nanako: “Keishicho," “Nanako: Railway," or "Nanako: Inagawaro"Will there be Storyteller Threads?
- Yes! It's going to take some work on my part, and I may need volunteers, but there should be storyteller threads for each faction.
- This event isn’t really meant to center around students. However, the police will mark secure areas that UA students can go to. There, students can clean up the streets, provide medical care and food, and fundraise. Going outside the cordon as a student is considered vigilante activity.
- No. Not at all.
- Pride and a sense of accomplishment. Also your new NPC buddies can maybe help you out if a storyteller is in a good mood. As for extra XP and EP, we're still hammering them out.
- That’s not a question! And no, it isn’t fair. Consider this a test. In the future, I might weigh factions. Even if your faction loses, you’ll probably end up with cool NPC buddies anyway, they’ll just not be in control of Nanako.
Will this event close on time?
- God no. But I’m going to try.
