Well then. This is an odd day. Kent searched around the homeless area scavenging for some broken and/or spare parts. On his free time he tends to search around the streets looking for some materials to use for his small 'experiments." One time he found a broken microwave and some televisions. With those, he managed to create a top of the line security system monitor that lasted for at least 2 days before it frizzled out and bursted into flames. Another time he found a bunch of broken car parts and managed to make a remote controlled toy car that lasted for a week before it frizzled out and bursted into flames. This time it was Brandon's fault. Another time, he has managed to take old pcs and make a better computer build. This one...actually worked out quite fine, barring the occasional glitches and blackouts. But this? This is something...much more different. It's partially complete. It has at leas several complex mechanisms that required at least knowledge in the field of robotics or mechanical engineering. Who would throw something this...amazing away?! Kent pondered as he lifted up the broken "machine" up. Searching for anything possible to identify who could have created this, Kent has found something...personal? Is personal the right thing to describe this? This feels like a sort of brand. Kent lets the usual circles know about this finding. He only described the general shape, but he's not worried that someone claiming to be the owner would show up. What he is worried, however, is that the person who owned this machine might have thrown it away on purpose, and would attempt to erase any traces of it...including the person who found. Just in case, Kent has a baseball ball behind the counter. Not that it would do him any good, though. It keeps staring at him. Like...it's begging for it to be dissembled. Like it wants to be experimented on...No! What if the owner waltzes in and sees their creation being massacred? He can't just do that to a machine all willy nilly like that! What to do, Kent yawned. It's almost dark. He should be getting ready to close u- There was a knock at the door.

Why am I here? Goro repeated to himself yet again, as he waited just outside of “Can’t or Kent”’s door. Why did he let some random nonsense about ‘some weird tech’ steal his attention so badly that he had to actually investigate it. He’d even come in slightly less formal attire than usual, just a dress shirt and jeans which he found unbearable scratchy. He shouldn’t have listened, this had probably just been some kind of ploy to advertise his store.
Of course, the logo that he’d described was what had drawn Goro in. The description certainly sounded familiar; maybe he’d seen it before, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t remember where. He could almost picture it in his head, even with such a simple description. Perhaps he’d even based his villain persona on it somewhat. That uncertainty was what compelled him to even bother with this visit.
Of course, it was only once he had already left the hotel that it occurred to him what a mistake he’d made. He’d never seen this ‘10sai Eye’ figure in the villain chat, which suggested he was probably not one to look upon Goro’s actions under the guise of Black Out Rogue Devil with approval. He could very well be a vigilante himself, so showing up suited up was just asking for trouble. But at the same time, Goro had made his villain identity pretty clear in Tokyo Underground, not overtly but enough that he was at least clearly a sympathizer with the Tokyo5 hijackers, if not one himself. All Goro could really do was hope that 10sai hadn’t read up on the chatroom beforehand.
Finally, he brought himself to knock on the door. A few moments later, Goro lost his patience and just opened the door himself. Immediately, as the door’s creak echoed through the room, Goro was overcome with the sheer amount of random shit in the room. Some of it was probably things that 10sai had been hired to fix, certainly, but that didn’t explain the presence of what appeared to be a life-sized cardboard cutout of… somebody lying flat beneath the counter, or the several plastic toy snake pieces scattered over the floor, or what Goro could barely even describe as a TV anymore, what with the random components of… what appeared to be a blender attached to it.
Certainly, this was someone who appreciated mechanical design as much as Goro did, but his expertise in maintaining any kind of aesthetic sensibility in his creations was severely lacking. That made it all the easier to identify the reason that he’d come there in the first place; the bizarre machine that 10sai seemed engrossed in examining.
The man behind the counter looked unassuming, almost weak from first impression, but considering he was marketing his services in Tokyo Underground that seemed more a facade than anything.
“So, that’s the machine, hm?” Goro cut right to the chase, not seeing the purpose in asking about 10sai’s name or attempting small talk. He stared 10sai right in the eyes, or at least attempted to, since they were almost entirely shut. What’s up with him?

So, the man of the hour finally arrived. Kent slightly opens his eyes and looks at his new customer. "Hey. Want some fixing or something to fix?" He calmly states as he picks up the machine and places it on a bigger table. There's no use in trying to assume he's not here for the machine. Only someone who knows of the sigil would even bother to come up front in person at this time of the night. If they were an average customer, they would either come at the morning or the afternoon. Anyone who attempts to go to the shop at this time of the night then must be either a fellow rule breaking vigilante...or someone from the underbelly of japan. He reminds himself of the baseball ball behind his small counter as he signals the winged man to come closer.
He's wearing a plain and simple dress shirt, with some ruined jeans. Can't insult the man for his fashion taste, since hes wearing what is basically huge ass shirt with no style or grace. If it weren't for the man's wings, he would have passed as any other regular joe. Must be a pain to walk around with those wings during this climate. With how many quirk criminals tend to be mutated, the average mutant cant even walk around in Tokyo without grabbing some bad attention. Feel kinda bad for the guy...although that might quickly change depending on what happens tonight. He's here for one reason, and it's safe to assume that he'll do anything to obtain it...one way or another.
Let's hope it ends peacefully.
Kent glares at the machine and turns it around. He shows the symbol to the winged man, displaying it's winged gear shape to him. "So, as you see here, it's some sort of brand. Either you own this machine...or you know someone who made this. Probably helped them create it, maybe you created it. Doesn't matter to me, I just wanted to ask whoever it is in person." He glares at Goro. "So then...what is this creation then? An engine? A defense system? A combustable machine? A jet pack? Every time I look at it, I have the urge to just tear it apart and see it's insides, just to know what it actually is. That's why I asked you to come. I wanted to ask you..."
Kent opens his eyes, showing his crimson burning eyes. "I want to destroy this machine and examine it. Will you allow me to?"
He'll be disassembling a possible complex and technologically advanced machine, possibly the only one of it's kind. He can't just do that willy nilly. What he needs is confirmation. Confirmation from anyone that he can tear it apart with his own hands. It's an urge that's constantly increasing bit by bit. And it's about to burst.
By this point, even if the Winged man says no, he'll do it anyway, even if he has to do it in front of him. That's the sort of drive he has at this moment.

The actual meaning of 10sai's greeting - a slogan of his own making - eluded Goro entirely, and he sighed in response, not bothering to hold eye contact with him. "You know what I'm here for, just get to the point." He walked stiffly a little closer to the table the machine had been transferred to. Actually laying eyes on it, he was finally able to recognize it, and after only a moment's thought he understood why. He'd never actually seen one in person, after all, only snippets of leaked blueprints or occasional coverage on news channels or magazines. He'd had no idea what it was like to hear its shape, to see it from so many angles at the same time. Until now, of course. He barely took notice of 10sai speaking, too immersed in his own mind and the memories the machine brought back. He had to take a moment more for his brain to even register he'd been asked a question. "Oh, I'm not a direct associate of the manufacturers," Goro said, his focus clearly more on the branding than his fellow man, "But, I know a good deal about this all the same. This logo is for a company that formed back when Quirks were first emerging, in the 30s if I recall." He adjusted his glasses and continued, now thoroughly absorbed in his own history lesson. "The founder had a Quirk of his own, so that alone meant he would find it exceptionally hard to secure reliable funding for his projects. But, what certainly didn't help matters was his focus." He ran his hand over the engine's sleek metal, and while his tone or posture didn't change, his excitement at the item in front of him was betrayed by the slight twitch of his wings. "His - their, the whole company, NighTech - goal was not to merely make the lives of Quirkers equal to any Quirkless, but to augment their powers even further through technology. I'd say they were ahead of their time, but even today the thought of Quirkers reaching such heights doesn't appear a popular one." "This, in particular, I believe was a prototype for augmenting Quirks capable of enabling flight." He turned it over, running his hand over the exhaust and leading up to what appeared to be the straps of a backpack with weird indentations across the length. "Making one fly faster, remain in the air for longer, taking some of the strain off the user. They intended it to fire automatically, depending on a wing's position but…" Goro's mind, tired of hearing him speak, finally reminded him of what 10sai's question actually was, and immediately he lost his train of thought, speech devolving into brief stuttering as he composed himself once more. "W-well, indeed it's only a p-prototype. The last I-I'd heard, the project was cancelled along with the dissolution of NighTech in the early 60s, and all the prototypes had already been disassembled and their parts sold to repay loans. Th-they never got to the point of making a version that was, well, safe." He pushed his glasses up again, even though they hadn't slipped much since last time. "Taking it apart is something I've wanted to do myself for a long time. If you allow me to have a part in it, and you truly have the expertise to ensure it isn't left irreparable without us learning anything from the process, I have no objections."

The man adjusted his glasses as he went on a bit of a tangent about this machine's personal history. To think that this concept was considered at that point of quirk development...it honestly sounds impressive to think that one company tried to perform this act of self improvement. Although...this does beg the question of that if this company was in itself without any ethical troubles. Perhaps there was a shadier half to this company, and maybe this was the reason why they went under. He’ll have to research them later on his own time. For now, this will do. Just this alone has confirmed the fact that this guy can be trusted with this machine. He won’t ask where and how he knows this info…that’s for much later.
Kent nods as the man continues with his lesson. He’s a sucker for these sort of history lessons relating to technology, it reminds him of why he loves science so much. Good or bad intentions, it doesn’t matter. The pure thought of trying to improve ones wing based quirk is honestly impressive and...kinda neat. Kent gives off a small smirk as the man seems a bit embarrassing for rambling for too long and agreeing to disassemble it. So this is how Brandon sees him whenever he starts talking about his latest project, huh? “Prototype, huh...yeah figures. By the looks of things, doubt it’ll ever fly. Shame too, would have liked seeing these out in the wild.” He circles the contraption, still fixated on the symbol and holding a screwdriver. “This fancy brand was wasted on this. Is this really the company’s logo, or do you think its a sort of “Easter Egg” of sorts, something to never be found until someone gets lucky?” He ponders out loud. "Maybe it's the mark of the guy who pushed this project...guess we'll never know."
“Well then. Guess we gotta get started. Um...just gonna call you Glasses, alright? No need to give out any real personal info right now, argree?" He asks the man while glaring over the machine. "...Alright then. To begin with, we need to separate the outer shell. Look for anything sticking out like rivets or screws or seared together panels. We can use the tools over there, on the table next to me.” He nods in the direction of the tools. This was something of a first for him: working on something mechanical with someone as equal minded as he is. Brandon's great and all but the guy's a musclebrained idiot. He's saved his life several of times when it came to the heavy lifting and the actual part gathering, but sometimes it's just nice to work on something and be able to properly discuss it without constant "eh?" or "What?" or "Hey stop rolling your eyes on me!" He glares and spots one large screw. "Let's staaaaaart here…" He mutters to himself as he gets to work.

“Indeed, a shame. I would’ve liked to see it in action, myself.” Goro agreed. “It’s not the usual logo of the company, obviously NighTech marketed themselves with something far less… elaborate. I’m not entirely sure on what the symbol’s meaning is myself, only that it appears on the blueprints for a few other projects of theirs besides this. Projects who’s blueprints leaked in a cleaner fashion than this one’s did.” He had his own personal theories on what the marking meant, of course, but he didn’t want to share it with someone like 10sai.
He continued after 10sai was done talking, a little irritated by his nickname suggestion. “I would prefer if you didn’t, but you are right on one thing. There’s no need for either of us to exchange personal information right now. So, I suppose ‘Glasses’ is fine. For tonight.”
While 10sai busied himself with a large screw, Goro’s Quirk had already pointed a fair few points of entry to him before they’d even finished talking. He grabbed the smallest screwdriver off the table without turning his head to look, and quickly undid the first of the small screws.
It was odd, working on something like this with someone else. If the Underground needed him to make something back in England, asking for help was the last thing he’d do, and he’d rarely trust someone else in Japan enough to allow them to work with him. He wasn’t sure why 10sai was an exception, especially with how obnoxious some parts of his personality seemed, but there was just something about the man that Goro couldn’t help finding endearing.
Despite that, Goro still wasn’t one for small talk, so he didn’t bother trying to break the silence that was starting to set in between them. Instead, he was contemplating the marking’s meaning as he worked. When he’d seen it for the first time years ago, his assumption had been it represented the group who’d funded the thing; there were rumours for the entirety of NighTech’s existence that it was funded by all sorts of shady groups, from Quirker liberation groups to the Yakuza to secret government agencies. He didn’t believe most of it, but considering the time NighTech was in business, it wasn’t too far-fetched to think some of their funding had come from less than reputable sources.
Later on he figured it’d be a little stupid for a group like that to publically admit to that association, let alone demand their mark be left on NighTech’s prototypes. Next, he’d convinced himself NighTech’s founder was a villain himself, perhaps one of the first, and that the mark was his own personal mark in the underground. That he would spend his days fighting for the liberation of Quirkers, and spent his nights working to do the same in more violent ways. Of course, under scrutiny that theory fell apart for much the same reasons the first did. Why would someone bother with a secret identity, if they were going to put such blatant references to it in their regular life?
He didn’t know what the real answer was, and no amount of research could find him the truth. The most likely answer was that the designer or lead engineer left it as a personal signature, and that was that, but it just didn’t seem enough to Goro. It just seemed a little too simple, too mundane.

The word 'blueprints' has piqued his interest. Kent's crimson eyes slightly open more at the mere mention of possible leaked blueprints containing more hidden creations stored away from the common eye, all while plastered with the same symbol. "Blueprints, huh...mind if y-...hmm..." He stops himself from speaking, making the only thing Glasses (presumley) heard was an audible 'hmm.' Perhaps that will make him sound "odd" or "puzzled." It's not like he was out of his field on this. He was a little, but with someone else helping out, he's sure to crack this machine's code. He doesn't want to give off the illusion of uselessness. He doesn't want to give off the impression of being a Brandon (bless his protein-obsessed brain).
That symbol though...that very same symbol is said to be in those same blueprints. Why though? Is it out of vanity? Is it really some sort of weird easter egg awaiting for someone to find it? Or is it...is it something bigger? Who knows. There's very little info to gather from here. All they really know is some person just loves plastering their symbol all over the works they do...wait, hold on a second. Why did he assumes it to be some'one'? As in...someone specific? And why doesn't it sound...weird to him? Normally you would assume it to be part of a group in-joke. It sounds suspicious that he attributes it to one person as if it were fact...but...
He shakes his head a bit. This is no time to think about the what-ifs and specifics of a word. Right now he's currently doing a job. He can't be distracted. Not now, at least. Not while he's carefully removing the outer shell. His fellow companion Glasses has managed to find smaller places to remove, as if he scanned it. Not bad. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who enjoys talking with others. Shame then, because he enjoys hearing the sound of his voice with others. "Interesting...hey Glasses, found something. Seems this little guy functions with an internal combustion engine, though this one seems...special of sorts. Doesn't appear to run off gas or oil as most ICEs work. It's as if it was specifically designed for a special fuel...Something that might have been one of the reasons why this didn't get off the prototype stage." A strange smirk arises from his face, not his usual cocky and smug smirk, its as if he found an old friend of sorts. "It's as if they wanted to make it go faster than before...beyond the limit of normal and quirk restraints...amazing isn't it, fantastic isn't it?"
Static of some weird shapes form in his head. His crimson eyes widen more.
"Think about it. a specific synthesized fuel for a specific engine for a specific purpose: for the empowerment of flight quirk users. Why did NT choose to do it like so? Doesn't that intrigue you? Doesn't that…" He slowly starts removing the engine and places it aside. "Doesn't that make you interested...in completing it?"
More static. More shapes.
A small beat, then Kent closes his eyes again, laughing it off. "Pff, we're getting ahead of us. We can't even remove the outer layer without destroyed some wires, see? Ha, even if we wanted to get this flying, we need to make a new engine just so it can run properly. Still, a large dream is still a dream." He mutters to himself, having broken off of his weird trance. "Hey, pass me that small tool on your side, I wanna try something."

To say 10sai seemed distracted was… an understatement. He'd cut himself off, then spent a long time thinking to himself and shaking his head every so often. God knows what he was thinking, but if it was something about the machine that Goro had missed, he'd rather 10sai not keep it to himself. "If you've made a breakthrough, don't keep it to yourself." He snipped, continuing to undo the smaller bolts. It wasn't as if he'd have to worry for long though, as 10sai launched into another long winded speech about the device only moments later. 'He must love to hear himself talk', Goro thought to himself, 'or maybe he thinks I do.' At least it was something of value, even if it took him far too long to get to the point. The thing wasn't designed for a traditional fuel source, huh? That made some amount of sense. Gas or oil burning in this thing would probably burn the wearer before they even got off the ground, or at least would weigh it down considerably. But, for the life of him, Goro couldn't remember what the fuel they used actually was. Had it even been in the blueprints? Speaking of which, for someone who'd allegedly only just found the jet today, 10sai seemed remarkably familiar with it. For a moment there, however fleeting it was, he'd almost sounded more familiar than even Goro. Had he lied to him? Goro handed the tool over, but just gave him a nod and a mumbled "here", too focused on his own thoughts to speak properly. 10sai was, just by looking at him, obviously too young to have worked at NighTech, so that was out. Plus there'd be no reason for him to put a call out pretending to not know what it was, were that the case. So, perhaps a child, or relative, of one of the engineers? Maybe, he'd heard about it, even had basic knowledge of how it worked, but there were enough gaps in it that he'd need someone's help to finish it. And, considering the business NighTech had been involved in, it would've been reasonable to conceal his relation to it. That still seemed unlikely. So, maybe he was another one who'd viewed the leaked blueprints, and had put out the call in the Underground in a last ditch effort to find someone who'd really worked on it? No, no, if that were the case he'd have been more disappointed when Goro had said he hadn't. There was, of course, the distinct possibility that he hadn't lied, and was just kind of a weird dude, but Goro wasn't one to take a stranger at their word, endearing or not. "...For someone who'd never seen this machine before tonight, you certainly know a lot about it." He finally spoke, his tone not giving away how suspicious he really was. Oh, wait, 10said had asked him a question in that mess, hadn't he? "Oh, and I wouldn't mind finishing this. As a matter of fact, I've wanted to do so since I first laid eyes on the plans. But, yes, we are certainly a while away."

Kent looks at the somewhat bemused bespectacled man and gives off a sly smile as he starts picking out specific parts of the machine with the tool. "Who knows? Maybe it turns out I was merely the son of one of the engineers? Maybe I am a truly genius amazing prodigy? Maybe there's a secret remnant of NightTech that I'm a part of? Maybe I just found it lying on the trash and making this up only to get a rise out of you? So what? You confirmed that it was real. Even if I was involved in this project and I'm just covering up my tracks, this specific piece of tech would have been gone the second it would have been found." He points a screwdriver at him. "The fact that we're dissembling it togethers means you gain a position in this deal as well: you get to have internal knowledge on a secret piece of technology never before released to the public...and I'm the only one who knows of it as well. Is'n't that a nice bargaining chip against your fellow tech friends who have only heard of the blueprints?" He messes around with a screwdriver. "Think of the potential offers you can find if you go down this tech rabbit hole...wouldn't that be nice...One day." One day indeed, as he gives off yet another small smirk as he messes around with the spoils he got with the small tool. "Here. Let's get a better look."
"Right here...you can consider it the entire reason why this machine would work. So...that means..." He steps back a bit, opens up his eyes wider as it turns from crimson to bright blue, and shines a projection of the dissembled machine. "If we were able to find a replacement for this part, we could potentially re-create it through trial and error. Not to the expected results these guys wanted out of it, but we could jury rig a potential add on for a flight pack. However, the main goal behind this is a sort of lure and bait. Say we want to complete it: we need to find anyone out there who also knows of it. Think of it as a public invitation. Might attract large groups, like that one I heard of lurking, something eternal, plus those behind the tv jacking on Christmas. At least, that's i want out of it. Might get some good info out of them if they comply." He swipes his fingers around the 'model' to mentally trigger it rotating for Goro to see. "You are right that we are a while away, but that doesn't mean we can't get started on it early. The first step is always about collecting these pieces. It's like a jigsaw, everything has to connect, and this is nothing more than a puzzle to be solved." He zooms the perspective in onto the signal. "And maybe then we can find out who placed this here."
He finally snaps out of his focused state. "Oh right. You got anything you want me to show you? Some part to highlight?" He asks Goro, accidentally blinding the poor basterd with his quirk. May or may not have been intentional.

As Kent started to run his mouth again, Goro had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. “A truly genius amazing prodigy”? God, he was probably being sarcastic, but 10sai certainly did seem like the type to think of himself that way for real. The way he was talking though, he was almost certainly not someone actually associated with the original engineers. There was no way they’d respond the way he did.
“I suppose you’re right. Access to knowledge like this would give me an advantage against my peers.” He admitted. “But, I guess, the same applies to you as well. Not that it matters, I don’t expect to rely on it.”
Blinding blue light shone from 10sai’s eyes all of a sudden, and Goro raised a hand to cover his eyes. He could’ve at least had the courtesy to warn him. It only took a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the brightness, but every second felt like an eternity. Eventually, he moved his hand away again, wincing just a little as he did so.
If it wasn’t for how fucking bright it was, 10sai’s Quirk would be of good use to Goro. It certainly helped to have literal projections of what the other man had figured out, rather than needing to use words to explain. Sure, this was also dependent on whether or not the information he projected was correct or not, but that wasn’t Goro’s responsibility. If 10sai got something wrong, 10sai’d have to deal with it himself.
If Goro were a regular person, who expressed emotion normally, 10sai’s mention of the TV hijacking would’ve prompted some kind of reaction. Maybe a cough, maybe a laugh, maybe even just an eyebrow raise. But Goro said nothing and did nothing.
Oh my God, why did he turn to him? Goro’s wing immediately swung around to protect his eyes from the blinding blue light, knocking some of the tools off the table behind him in the process. “Ugh, do you mind?” He muttered. “I wouldn’t mind taking a closer look at the point where the missing source of power is meant to be attached to the main device. I’d be able to devise a better replacement that way.”
He’d already examined it with his own Quirk, of course, but perhaps someone else’s perspective would help.

He honestly has no idea if he is or isn’t related to the original team. If anything, there was a slight hope, some small inkling that Glasses here would refute that comment and tell him about some previously unmentioned engineer that turned out to be him or his mom(?) or dad(?)he was keeping secret to him. It would have been a shock but he wouldn’t reject it. It’s unrealistic and somewhat of a a wish fulfillment deal...but what if, though. That's the problem with experimentation, it gives you weird results, results that can lead you into falsely believing in one thing until it's recreated. You have to be careful when thinking about those hypotheses.
"Yeah. It's all about the 'race.' As much as I hate it, we gotta keep ourselves ahead of the curve." He nopes openly as he 'switches' on his quirk. Seems like his friend here wasn't ready for the brightness of his projections. Though, that was somewhat his fault. He got used to the 'setting' he uses for his projections. It's a handy flashlight or desk light whenever he's working late or if he ever loses power for not paying the bill at times. You know, stuff like that. One time he dazed Brandon and he stumbled behind a wooden table, breaking it. But Glasses here seems to react to it worse than usual. Good to know.
Kent made a subtle sound as he continued his analysis. It can be confused as a slight surprise he found with his quirk, but honestly, it was something else. The event he mentioned right now, the tv station hijacking, is somewhat of an odd topic to discuss in public. Gossip hens would talk about how cruel it was or what should have happened on it. Parents would have told their children to be wary of the streets. Students would be more curious about the whole situation or talk about how fucked up it was. Either it would illicit some reaction. Glasses here kept quiet about it. Normally it would be "it was a tragic event," "the people there deserved it,' or "what the hell were the pro heroes doing then.He said nothing bout it. Maybe he was reeling back from the brightness? Still something to be wary about. He's heard about being in the zone but...who knows. Perhaps he really didn't care about it, or this is the first time he's heard about it. If so then it would be weird, since there's somewhat a worry for bat-type quirk users around now.
Well, if he was simply 'in the zone,' he got a bright light shoved right in the eyes making it worse for him and snap him out of it. "Ahaha, sorry about that. Let me just…" he does a sort of turning motion with his fingers, a neat way to make him control his quirk better. It becomes less bright as he zooms in on the part Glasses required to see. "Alright then. Here's the missing section. What sorts of ideas do you got in mind?"

The light that was filtering through the leathery hide of Goro’s wings seemed to fade, and he relaxed once more. If 10sai could turn the projector’s brightness down, why would he even have it so bright to begin with? How could he stand it? No sense in continuing to complain about it anyway, they had business to take care of. “Well, that confirms an issue I’d suspected would arise.” Goro pushed his glasses up, as his wing had knocked them earlier. “Whatever that connector was intended for, it’s all specialized very specifically for whatever the power source is meant to be. If we intend on repurposing it for an easier to procure source, it’ll take more than just a replacement of the port. We’ll have to alter a good amount of the interior just to accommodate such a swap.” Goro gestured with a screwdriver to roughly where each thing he mentioned would be. “But we’d be getting ahead of ourselves if we attempted that already. As you said earlier, there are missing parts we can find replacements for; it’d be far more worthwhile to replace those first and then begin the redesign.” Actually, looking at the missing part again, Goro was almost certain he’d seen it before. Not in the blueprints, but in the mess of mechanical scrap that he’d looted with Fix long ago. It was one of the many bits and pieces he’d just left in a heap on one side of his hotel room, so there was no way he was misremembering. As small as it was, it was a very distinct shape. But, that revelation posed a problem. Convenient as it was that Osaguwara still produced it, they weren’t the type of company to allow consumers to purchase parts separately. If you wanted something of Osaguwara make repaired, you’d have to pay them to do so. Occasionally, they would throw out working parts or, at least, parts that could be fixed very easily, but the chances of someone just happening to come across something so small, in pristine condition, when they weren’t even looking for it? Astronomically low. In short, there was no way he could just pop up to his hotel room, grab the bit, come back, and not raise 10sai’s suspicion even a little. The Osaguwara truck theft didn’t exactly make national headlines, but news about those kinds of things spread fast in Quirk tech circles, and no doubt 10sai had heard about it too. If he connected Goro to that robbery, then he’d easily be able to connect him to everything else, and that would be the end of their partnership. “You know,” Goro muttered, “I have quite a few spare parts I’ve collected, just in case something breaks. While I doubt I’ll be able to dig up anything specialized, I could head home and see if I already have something of use. No sense paying for something we already have, after all.” He placed the screwdriver back on the table and adjusted his glasses one more time. He’d let Kent respond, then turn to leave. “If you make any headway with this on your own, do not hesitate to contact me through the Tokyo Underground chatboard. I’ll do the same should I come up with anything.” Goro gave a terse wave, then left. No sense in saying goodbye or anything, they’d see each other again.

"Complete modification and redesign...if we can make it work maybe it can be reproducible in the future...not bad, Glasses." He nods as he turns off his projection, rubbing his eyes together after using his quirk for a while. He needs to keep an eye out on that; too much usage and he might get a horrible migraine. Although maybe it wouldn't be as bad as the recent eye searing Goro had, using his wings to block his field of vision to keep his sight in check. Are his eyes sensitive, maybe? Perhaps if he made some glasses to help him out, like his goggles, it could downplay the brightness? Possibly.
He notices Goro thinking about something. Is he perchance thinking about the process for this project of theirs. After a while, he snapped out of it, mentioning that he could have some spare parts lying around near him. Oh, interesting, he also stores spare parts back home. Smart man over here, gotta admit. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he eyes his shop, with a lot of parts in boxes, with far more behind closed doors. "Yup, especially since I'm already so hard pressed on cash....ehehe..." he shakes his head. "Gotta give you credit, Glasses. You know your stuff." he turns back to face him only to see him turn to leave. "Hmm? Oh right, of course. The field of engineering and robotics and physics is a team effort. Can't just hound all of the credit and glory. I'll let ya know if I get anything or find out something about this NightTech corp." He watches as he leaves the shop, not saying goodbye.
He crosses his arms, then sighs. The guy's pretty smart...but there's something about him. Something that doesn't sit well with him. It was already a given since he found him on the TU chat...but...hmm. He looks at the deconstructed machine, glaring at the symbol. That symbol...it just...Hmm. He's not sure. He grabs the plate with the brand and places it inside a drawer, stretching a bit. Well, what's done is done. He and Glassses are gonna try to recreate this guy, and that's all on the topic. Any other issues found along the way can be dealt on the way. Simple as that. Might have Brandon on stand by, just in case. He yawns, looking at the time. Seems it's finally time to rest.
He simply waves his hand at the door, a somewhat pointless gesture since by that point, Goro has already left.
