Yui had been wandering around the city again, she kept her shiny box on her just in case Kohaku needed to find her or talk to her. She had been walking around the parks, the crosswalks and the city in general, barefoot. She liked feeling the concrete on her feet even though the ground was starting to get a bit too warm for her tastes, so she decided to take a turn down the dark alley which was cooler! The ground felt much better there, however some gunk and stuff was on the floor so she began to watch where she stepped. Somehow the gunk didnt stick to her feet, which made no literal sense but she wouldn't be able to investigate it for very long because suddenly these guys showed up and wanted to talk to her!
"Hey kid, what'cha doing here?" they asked her Yui looked up at them and smiled "Oh! hello there! Im just exploring around, getting to know the city." she said with a bright smile across her face, the goon who had a shady past and history just looked at her. He was stunned that a girl who seemed so innocent and gullible so he tried to do something. "You need some money for stuff kid? You could do me a favor?" He said handing her a white envelope with money inside. She only recently learned that this green paper in this society can get people to do stuff for you...oh boy! he's just handing it out?! how nice! "Sure!" she said placing her hand out to reach for it, blissfully unaware of how bad the situation actually was since this had never happen to her before.

In retrospect, Jasmine could've found herself in a better situation. Then again the lioness always ended up getting tangled up in the weirdest of messes, mostly because of her inability to mind her own fucking business. If only she could just turn around and ignore what the fuck she saw her life would probably be better for it. But noooo, the girl had to notice that bullshit going on in the alley, she had to keep watching just in case somebody needed her, and she had to listen to that goody-two-shoes nature that she kept hidden deep inside herself. Ugh. Why was life such a pain in the ass sometimes?
Honestly Jasmine's day had been simple enough. Classes had ended and with the gist of her training routines for the day out of the way the lioness had hopped onto Bumblebee and went into Tokyo to get ready for work. Now that she had her own gig as a tattoo artist in the Elysian Garden, Jasmine's days had become much, much busier. Whereas she was just an apprentice in her last gig in Musutafu, now Jasmine was the proverbial master of her own tattoo shop. She was still working by her lonesome self which meant she had to shoulder the workload all by herself. Some might have thought that wouldn't be too hard - the Garden was still new which probably meant that there wouldn't be many patrons. But Rebecca was some kind of a magician - the second the Lioness' Den opened people came flocking like moths to a flame. It was insane. Not that Jasmine was complaining. Honing her skills, giving people body art and getting paid quite handsomely to boot was more than she could've ever asked for.
Jasmine had been in town interviewing a couple of potential new hires for her shop and gathering supplies at the same time. She went from place to place, spending a couple of hours already just by preparing for the day. Christ she really needed to speak to Rebecca to have her order some supplies and equipment for the shop - getting everything herself was exhausting as balls.
And then the magic happened.
While in the more shadier part of town, Jasmine had caught a voice coming from a random alley. Glancing towards it, Jasmine could immediately tell she should've just started her bike's engine and zoomed off without shoving her nose into other peoples' business. Sigh. Just her fucking luck.
Having hopped off of her bike, Jasmine stood behind the corner with her back to it. She peeked around, noticing some dudes around a short blonde girl. She didn't look more than a kid, and boy did it seem like she was at the wrong place and at the wrong time. And heavily misunderstanding the situation. The lioness cursed under her breath. Decisions decisions. Yeah, she eventually decided she'd watch and bide her time. Wouldn't do good to punch the shit out of somebody who didn't deserve it and so she thought it best to just wait and see how this situation played out.
She'd be on them within a second if she needed to, though.

Yui was quite honestly unequipped to handling the modern world, she was extremely quick to trust people since she hadn't met anyone yet who was evil. So maybe her clan's tall tales of that talk about the evil of this world was just that, tall tales. Especially when someone just hands you money so you can get things you want! Oh how weird this was to her, in her village you would just ask nicely and promise to help them later down the line with something when asked, however you could.
She took the envelope and opened it up, there was a lot of money and a small little bag with white powder. she grabbed the little bag "What's this?" she asked curiously "Is it sugar?" she said holding it out so he could see it "Why would someone need this little sugar? Surely you'd need more if someone was going to make sweets." the man looked there completely flabbergasted and stunned, HOW IN THE WORLD COULD SHE THINK IT'S SUGAR? He was so confused by her but he didn't let that stop him from furthering his goal with her.
"Yes, it is sugar! However this sugar is EXTRA special, the person only need a tiny bit of it which is why it's in such a tiny bag." He said with a small bead of sweat forming on his forehead and a smile on his lips. Yui stared at him blankly trying to process, she was convinced for a moment before asking him a question. "If this is sugar why is the color off?" she asked curiously but before he could even answer "It's also a lot more dense than sugar, not even confectionery sugar is like this, it's more fine." she said analyzing the bag. The man began to panic at this girl slowly realizing his ploy "Im sorry but this is-" was all that could escape her lips as soon after the man grabbed her wrist and yanked her over. Well he couldn't let her go now, she might go blabbering to the nearest person she said handing the bag over "You just couldn't keep your mouth shut and do as your told huh brat? What? You gonna sell me out to the cops for holdin some coke?" he said to her as he was beginning to get rough with her.
She began to panic, what the heck?! was going on? WHAT IS COKE? ISN'T THAT A SODA? Yui began to freak out she was told to not ever use her quirk forcefully on others but she didn't know what to do, she couldn't focus. Some wind began to stir up around her since she wasn't able to focus but began to use her quirk. However the guy being rough with her quickly snapped her out of it. "Let me go please! I wont tell anyone if that's what your scared about!" she said worried on what to do.
