Maeko Lee: Burning Desires 665 WORDS
OOC: N/A | Maeko had wasted enough time in Japan just waiting. Waiting for something. Some big thing to make her step out of the uncomfortable box she had found herself in. She wanted something to do, rather than just continue to live life like any average person. She wasn't normal, she could breathe fire and crush stone with her hands with ease. Pretending like she was just content with a normal job was like telling a lie to everyone including herself. She wanted to do something, be someone, make a name for herself even if she wasn't publicly known. She wanted people to fear her name, or at least, the one she has chosen to represent her villainous persona.
Or rather, one that she will choose. At the moment, even if she was still bouncing between names internally, it wasn't as if it mattered at all. Nobody knew who she was, she hadn't done anything at all, hell, she hadn't even burned anything outside of her apartment since she had arrived in this entire country. The itch was growing stronger and stronger, and who was she to deny what just felt right? She was finally free to do whatever she wanted and yet she still felt like she was somehow locked up. Restrained by rules, society, the law itself. Why couldn't it all just burn to the ground and give her the freedom she so desperately desired? She wouldn't admit it, especially not to herself, but she was certainly scared. What if she got caught? One little house fire and suddenly she'd be tossed in jail. That wasn't a good plan.
Perhaps, she should start much smaller. She got a wicked gleam in her eyes as she glanced across the road as she walked down the street. The flame on her hair seemed to visibly flare up a bit, growing in length as she grew more and more excited by the idea. Start small, and slowly work back up until she knew how to handle this land. Not seeing absolutely any flaws in her idea, she attempted to subtly walk down an alley, but considering her quite visible nature she was an easy person to spot. Regardless, she would walk back around the building and find herself in a little alley stuck in between buildings. Trash and junk as far as the eye could see. Fire escapes and other ugly architectural structures, like telephone poles, all seemed to want to crowd into this tiny little space. A quick look around and she didn't see a single camera. Perhaps it was poor businesses nearby, or maybe nobody cared, or perhaps she missed them altogether, but her quick look made her more than confident enough to be sure there was nothing.
Peeking her head up over the dumpster's edge, Maeko gagged slightly from the sick smell. What in blazes was that? Some rotting fish? Whatever it was, the cardboard the metal container was filled with seemed to be soaked with some strange, gross liquid that she could only assume was something not particularly pleasant. However, despite her problem, she couldn't help but smile extremely widely. Nobody would complain about a small dumpster fire, now would they? It was the last thing she had publicly burned back when she was a child, it made sense to start here all over again. Taking a deep breath, away from the bin so she could actually breathe, she puffed up her cheeks rather adorably before a burst of fire suddenly began to spill out of her mouth and straight down into the trash. Within mere moments, the trash lit up in flames. Crackling to life, sparks flying upwards and fading away into the night rather quickly. It might not be the most impressive, but to her it was everything. She finally, for the first time in years, felt right. She couldn't help but stare, mesmerized by the glow of the fire, attempting to ignore the horrible smell that came with burning rotten garbage. |

Niso’s search for chaos in things around him was sometimes a fruitless one. Especially in Japan of all places. For every weeabu or otaku breaking the social norms there were a hundred mindless drones who had to do right by their family and fulfil some sense of honor, righteousness, duty or what have you. Still, he got by, surviving off his own ideals of chaos and loving it as he did. Maybe it wasn’t perfect but with his mind always following his whims and desires he knew how to satisfy his itches at the very least…he just wanted everyone to be like that. Scratching every little itch whenever they arose and living in complete bliss as they satisfied their desires without question and without regret.
Dipping into a store he sought to satisfy one of those urges. Some aisles were just…not watched, he found. They expected kids to steal sweets and snacks, never bread or essential meals. It was all too easy for him to walk in, glance about for when the store owener was busy, and stuff a box of cereal under his jacket. He was feeling like something sweet today and grabbed a box of fruit loops…or some Japanese off brand make. There were multi colored loops on the cover that’s all that really came into the equation. He shoved the box up under his jacket and made his way out with ease, and with that, another craving was satisfied and Niso let out an oddly satisfied sigh through his nose before continuing down the street, getting a fair distance from the store itself before retrieving his cereal, sliding open the lid, and shoving his hand right into the internal bag, shoveling the colourful mix into his mouth with reckless abandon.
Aaaah…the sweet taste of chaos.
His mind wandered aimlessly as he just enjoyed the taste he was piling into his mouth, only brought back to reality when he’d been moving to take a shortcut down an alleyway he used to use during Saturdays as a place to sleep, but rather than the empty alley and the possible homless man resting against the wall that he expected, his eyes instead grew wide with intrigue as he spotted the flaming hair of a young woman, probably his own age. He maintained his distance, tossing a single fruit loop up and catching it in his mouth as he leaned himself against the wall, watching the girl and her nature…she had a very obvious quirk, and that already caught Nisos attention. Those with obvious quirks were more easily subjected to Niso’s own experience. Abused by those who didn’t have quirks and wanted to take advantage of the abuse they could more easily dish out onto those who had them…and in turn, they were all itching to unleash themselves, just like Niso.
Seemed this girl hit his idea of her right on the money. In seconds she was starting a fire and just continued to watch the flames. Niso briefly wondered if there was more to it, if she had some weird quirk where she’d breath in the fire to fuel herself or something, but nothing seemed to come. He slowly walked up without a sense of hesitation or even sneakiness, the girl clearly too mesmerized by her own flames to even care all that much, and leaving Niso with ample opportunity to creep up behind her and examine what was going on. Leaning his head almost over her shoulder, getting on his tip toes a little to do so better.
Eventually, a loud crunch would fill her ear as he shoved another load of cereal into her mouth, speaking through crumbs and saliva soaked fruit loops.
“Schmo…yoo twyin tu shee yoor fuchure in da flawmes?”
He'd then shove another handful into his mouth, waiting for an answer to his question as he looked to her curiously. Most he could do is hope she was trying to scratch some itch and he would be more than happy to help. On the other hand if she really could see the future in flames…well he’d probably try and kill her. No one got to tell him his future and force him to adhere to some sort of order and destiny.

Maeko Lee: Burning Desires 535 WORDS
OOC: N/A | Maeko was too distracted by the sight of her small victory, the flames burning up out of the metal dumpster, to even notice that she was being watched. As her excitement grew, so did the flames upon her head. Growing longer and longer, burning brighter and brighter. The air around her would likely shimmer from the heat quite visibly so. However, Maeko didn't have alot of time left before she finally noticed the man. A loud crunch seemed to echo across the back alleys to her, sending a shiver of fear up her spine. She quickly turned around, eyes wide with fear.
It was just some kid about her height. Stuffing his face full of cereal, talking with his mouth full like what he was doing was the most casual thing in the world. She didn't even understand what he was saying, but her body was already reacting on instinct. What if this kid told someone? What if she got in trouble with the law so soon? Everything would go to waste. The little scratching of her itch would turn into a big open, obvious wound metaphorically speaking. If anyone else knew what she was doing, she had no idea how to handle anything of the sort. Before she could even think to respond, she suddenly whipped herself around. Her long hair flailing along with her, likely smacking alongside the individual as the intense flames would burn across his skin.
Unsure what to do, she began to panic slightly. They saw her face, why the hell did she turn around, to begin with? They could identify her to the cops! She had just arrived in Japan, it would be horrible to have to hide from law enforcement so quickly before she even knew what she was going to do. Turning around once more, her hair would kind of whip with the reaction, fear fueling her adrenaline to make sure that this didn't get out of hand. It was fight or flight, and before she knew it, she chose to fight. She would attempt to end this quickly.
Waiting for him to burn alive would be too slow. She could burn the body afterward, perhaps, but for now, she just wanted this over with. Using her momentum from turning around, she would attempt to slam a fist directly against the boy's chest. Assuming all went well, the mere force might outright break his ribs. The intense heat from her hand burning away at his clothes might potentially catch him on fire if her hair didn't already do the trick. Fear gripped her as she would attempt to grab onto his chest, lifting him up and into the air just enough.
Without a word, Maeko too a deep breath and would attempt to hold him still as she let loose a heavy breath of flames, uncontrolled and wild. Any normal individual would be roasted alive, and so far, she had no reason to suspect that he was any different. Just someone at the wrong place at the wrong time and she wasn't exactly thinking straight either. Panic was visible on her features every second of her actions, trying desperately to do something, anything, to not get caught.

As the girl turned about to face him, Niso pulled back a little but not enough to not be caught by the wide whipping motion of her hair. One of his hands lifting his cereal box out of the way as the side of his clothes caught fire. As invincible as he thought he was, fire could still hurt and he quickly started to pat it down, though more in worry for his clothes than his own flesh weirdly enough. Kyoko had given him money for helping her out recently so he’d finally managed to get new clothes for the first time in a long while, even if he had made the choice to go to a thrift shop all the same. “Aw come on I like this shir-WAH!”
With the second turn about, not even fully paying attention to the girl, the carboard of his box of fruitloops had managed to catch fire this time and his eyes widened in more alarm, a face of despair washing over him as the box in his hand was set alight, thinking to drop it but then realizing that would mean he’d spill his cereal. Even as the fire from the box started to lick his palm, Niso lifted it above his head and rapidly started to try and pour the cereal into his mouth. Yeah. He had his priorities straight, totally. His hand was about to catch fire and here he was trying to down fucking cereal like it was a keg of beer.
A shot of pain ran through his torso and Niso staggered back, finally forced to let go of the box and looking down at himself, cereal stuck on his throat, winded by the punch to the lungs, ribs hardy but clearly at least fractured within his torso from such a punch, surprised by the strength of the girl, and furthermore, fire now spreading from his chest, his side, and up his arm, searing signals of pain roaring through his body and forcing odd giggles out of him as his body reacted to pain in the unusual ways it had grown accustomed to. Before he even fully registered the situation he was in, he was off his feet, staring down at the girl before him.
“H-hey so maybe we talk about this before you-“
And then he breathed on her like a Charizard. Flames spreading rapidly down his body, his whole body squirming in agony and kicking the girl in the chest, dropping to the floor as his body found the strength to squirm out of her grasp, or maybe the part of the shirt she was holding just burned off. Either way he was soon on the floor, making far more of a scene than the girl may have hoped, his body ignited and screaming in agony as he squirmed and kicked on the floor, rolling left and right before the flames eventually started to peter out. The top layer of flesh across his arms face crusty and hard and no longer a strong fuel for the flames. He was left on the ground, his skin a harsh, crackly red as he glared up at the girl who’d just set him alight…but though it was hard for his skin to shift, he seemed to be…smiling? Some small flames were still on his clothes, but an eerie little chuckle rang through his lips as he forced himself to smile wider, giggling to himself and trying to slowly push himself up, though barely managing to get off all fours. There was an almost sickening crack whenever he tried to adjust his elbows, shoulders, knees or hips, the dried and burnt skin cracking at those fine points.
“D-do you…b-burn everyone you meat?” He snickered at his cheeky comment, brushing off flecks of burned fabric, his shirt and jacket barely hanging onto his body by scorched threads now, his upper body from the waist up seeming to be subjected to huge patches of horrendously burned skin before he’d managed to roll out the flames…but despite being in agony that would make most people unconscious, Niso managed to giggle through it, and even worsened the pain by trying to stand whatsoever.
“Got a name there…flame girl….?~” He snickered and giggled, dropping back to the floor, unable to stand for long. “OOOOH GOD THIS HURTS!~ HHAHAHAHA!~”

Maeko Lee: Burning Desires 471 WORDS
OOC: N/A | Whoever this man was, he had to be certifiably insane. It wasn't as if she was any better, gaining pleasure from burning things. In the last moments of his life, or at least what she assumed was going to be, he began to down the cereal he was eating straight out of the box as if it was going to save him or something. She had absolutely no idea what to think. All she realized, was that she should have muffled him beforehand. Now he was screaming in pain, and that was sure to attract attention if anyone cared to investigate. Unsure where to go, or what to do, she simply slowly backed up with eyes wide.
He... wasn't dead. In fact, he seemed to be laughing through it all. His skin was boiling alive, his clothing charred and flaking away as the flames began to be rolled out. As he eventually got on all fours, she stared even wider. He was going to just get back up after that? Like she hadn't just attempted to make barbeque out of him? The cracking sounds she heard sent shivers down her spine, staring and thinking about just how much pain he probably was in. To get back up so, well, giggly about the whole thing was unnerving on a level she didn't quite understand. Uncomfortable to say the very least.
As he stood and began to speak, Maeko put up her fists as he just continued to laugh. If he was going to fight, even after all that, she wasn't going to hold back. And yet, despite how slowly he had gotten up, he had crumpled to the floor almost instantly. He was clearly in absolutely no position to fight from that, let alone laugh as creepily as he was. The whole situation was growing quite a bit uncomfortable. Stepping closer, she began to kneel down just enough to look at him. Her hands up, ready to do something if he tried something. Of course, just being close to him, the heat emanating from her body was sure to be quite uncomfortable paired with his current injuries.
"... Why don't you just, uh. Give me your name first." She spoke, almost a bit afraid to burn him some more unless he got some twisted, sick pleasure out of it. "You sure seem to uh, be having a fun time there, now aren't you? I don't think you're in the position to ask me anything right now. Sneaking up on me like that in a dark alley, huh? What kind of man laughs when he is about to die?" Almost as if to prove her point, she let out a heavy breath as flames just seemed to trickle out of her mouth, almost like how one could see their breath on a cold morning. |

Slumped onto his side as his body lay there in utter agony, a grin still pushing across his lips and his teeth grit through the pain, drool seeped into the dry cracks of the skin around his cheek, forcing him to endure further, stinging pain, but at this point it was all blending together, and with a life like he had lead, even this kind of pain hardly seemed to get past his outer layers and truly register with him. His eyes were oddly sharp, the blood shot nature of them actually seeming to recede as Maeko looked into them, the prominent veins against the white rapidly returning to the very edges of his eyes, healing them first to make sure he could see her face.
“Niiiiiisoooooooo~” He chimed as she asked for his name, trying to force himself up again with a few more sickening cracks, but giggling as he fell once again..though a few patches of burned, reddened skin seemed to fall away around the tips of his fingers. Fresher, gooey flesh residing under the outer layer that had fallen away. It was almost as if Niso was some sort of insect, slowly molting his outer shell everytime he tried to push up off the ground, only to fall with another chuckle, making more progress each time. “My name is…hahhaha!~ Niso Koooonto!~ Though…ow-ow-ow-ooooow!~ M-m-my friends c-can call me Pinocchio sometimes!~ Heeheehee!~”
“As for having fun…” He began, finally pushing himself up enough to at least sit, he rested his head back against the wall behind him, even that light pressure just furthering his pain. A few chunks of his charred hair fell out…only for Maeko to be able to watch it growing rapidly again before her eyes, chunks that had turned to charred messes just molted out entirely as if he was unnaturaly bolding, and in it’s place, fresher strands started to push out from his scalp, returning to the length of the hair that had once been their before. He maintained his grin even as he continued. “I am in complete and utter agony. But what’s new there?~ I’ve just learned to laugh through it.~ It’s like being tickled! You hate and oh fucking GOD do you want it to stop, but something about the fact you’re laughing makes it more durable ya know?~ Like your finding joy in the fact someone is hitting all your nerves in all the wrong ways! Hahahhaha!~”
He just took a few deep breaths. His lungs hadn’t been burned but he now focused on his throat, the outer, crusty layer of flesh molting away so he could breathe easily, looking to the girl before him with a dimmer expression as he more genuinely focused on surviving this, though the fear of death he constantly held was not present in him now…he didn’t think this girl was a killer of the brand he needed to fear. She would kill. She proved that. But did she have the tenacity to kill him? No. As such he held a weak, but still present smile. “Sure I’m the creepy stalker, and you’re the girl who burns dumpsters, and people, without permission.~ Shall we call it even stevens or does one of us need to talk to the police here?~”
He quirked his brow suggestively as he asked that. He had no intention of calling them of course. Not him of all people, but by god was one of them in way more trouble than the other right now, even if they could tie Niso to all his past crimes, right now one of them was a potential murderer if Niso’s quirk hadn’t gotten involved, and the other wasn’t, so he knew Maeko didn’t have much room to negotiate here. “So…your name now?~”

Maeko Lee: Burning Desires 793 WORDS
OOC: N/A | So his name was Niso Konto? At least, that is what she understood from amongst his laughter and cheeky grins. She didn't even want to know where the name Pinocchio came from, but she wasn't exactly about to ask. Still, watching the way his skin just seemed to flake off was a bit creepy to say the least. It was almost as if he was just regrowing an entirely new body at an extremely rapid pace. Even as he sat up and his hair fell out, new hair grew in almost immediately to replace it like some kind of magic trick. If she wasn't already so frustrated at the boy, she might have been a little more in awe of his quirk. To heal from something like that was nothing short of an amazing ability.
His explanation for the laughter, again, unsettled her. It was like tickling? In what way was being roasted alive like being tickled? Perhaps it was some mental block, experiencing pain so much that he could only handle it if he made that mental connection. At least, that is what made sense to her currently anyways. However, there was one part of all of this that made her even more upset than anything else he did. He didn't seem remotely scared. She just attempted to cook him, and he's suddenly attempting to suggest talking to the police? All it did was make her, quite visibly, angry. Her hair almost immediately flared up, the flames rising upwards amongst the updraft the sudden shift in temperature created.
"You still think you're going to tell the cops?" She couldn't help but seem shocked at the very suggestion. So far, he just seemed to heal, heal, and heal more. If he could just take the punishment but not dish it out, then this was definitely no position of power he held over her. Without her name, all they had to go by was her quirk. She could hide, right? That was easier thought than done, of course, but she was hoping that she could figure it out. Regardless, Maeko was growing tired of his words. If he wanted to keep yapping his mouth, then perhaps it was about time she taught him to keep it shut.
Assuming he wasn't able to react in time, Maeko would quickly swing a hand around and grip around his neck. Her hand would be physically burning into his skin, squeezing down tighter and tighter as she attempted to get him to listen. Quickly standing up to her full feet, she would attempt to lift him up in the air by his neck alone, squeezing tighter and tighter. He'd heal from this, surely, but even she had watched more than enough horror movies to know what to do. If you can't kill them, make them think you can. "I think... It's time we had a different kind of chat."
She spoke softly, moving her free hand around to idly toy with her hair. "You won't be calling the police, Niso Konto. In fact, you won't be calling anyone at all." Her hand would hopefully grip even tighter around his neck, hopefully choking him just enough to not be able to speak, while still burning him all the same. "You don't know what you've just given me, do you?" Hopefully, her general inexperience with making this kind of speeches didn't show. She was certainly more than a bit unsure of her words, seemingly struggling to think of a few of them all of a sudden.
"You just, uh... Gave me exactly what I wanted. Yeah." She'd smile, glancing at him up and down. "A living being I can just... burn and burn and burn for as long as I want. I wonder how long it would take for you to stop laughing, hmm? Maybe uh... four, five days?" She honestly had no idea what she was going on about. Maeko wouldn't even be able to take him home anyhow, let alone keep him anywhere. Hopefully, he didn't know that, however. She was strong, but she sounded like the most unsure person in the world.
However, her next sentence was spoken with total clarity of mind and purpose as if it was her true mindset. She would drop him as she spoke, assuming she had picked him up to begin with. "My name is Amaterasu, and all I want... Is to burn. Everything I want. Anywhere I want. Whenever I want. And I won't give up until I get what I want. Are we uh, clear?" Of course, she had to stutter at the very last part, the threat, the part that actually mattered. She really was inept at intimidation when her mere hand couldn't melt someone's mouth off forever. |

“Ah! Ah! Fresh skin fresh skin!” As his throat was grasped, the girl might notice just how gooey and soft it felt around his throat. He’d had to grow fresh layers of skin under the broken one before it flaked away so he literally felt like a newborn in that spot. Even fresher actually. It was all ruined as her burning temperatures started to crackle his skin again and he winced through the pain before chuckling again as she started to try and intimidate her, his legs idly kicking but the girl likely knowing enough of what she was doing, and having enough strength, to continue to chuck him out. The Flailing of his body knocked more old skin loose, the crackly surface layer flaking away in more and more places, the burned clothes hanging off his body making it easy for the flesh beneath them to flake away and fall off, leaving red, charred remains under him as he kicked and squirmed in the air, smirking despite the pain he was feeling and the screaming signals his nerves were sending to his brain, both his hands clasping around the wrist of the girl as she hoisted him into the air, but even then, as he struggled and pulled as best he could, wanting the pain to stop, he didn’t submit, and his eyes didn’t show a lick of fear. “Come on now! I just got this new throat! You reeeeeally gonna make me get a new one!?~” He snickered loudly as his throat started to burn again, his voice crackling, like he was talking through static as his throat continued to burn. He tried kicking a little harder, but as he realized it was all for naught he started to calm down, his eyes sharp and narrowed in the direction of the girl, showing no signs of fear despite the threat that she gave that she could burn him for days on end. “Ooooh yeah. 4 days sounds about right. Maybe on the 3rd day the cops might even hear my screams. It’d be hard to muffle me if all your muffles catch on fire afterall. So what’s your plan for that!?~ Trust me, everything melts eventually! HAHAHAH!~” He was loving this girl though to say the least, she was trying so hard it was adorable, but under the surface there were hints of some sadistic mind. As she gave her final speech however…Niso’s smile was more genuine as he started to see something beneath the surface. His fighting reduced somewhat, most of his flesh beyond his throat seeming fresh and new but still needing time to settle, while Niso was feeling a little tired from the regeneration taking place across his body. He took a slow, deeeeep breath, pushing through the burns starting to seep internally around his windpipe, and making the effort to speak again. “Oh wow…here we go. Finally a bit of Honesty. Pinocchio like…you wanna watch the world burn? Well…maybe not as literally but…~” A second layer of flesh slowly started to creep over his face, through the cracks of the burns, coating his face in a thick layer of black, slowly parted by two white orbs and a creepy white smile as his new skin layer seemed to make a mask across his face, a sadistic, yet chesire like smile pushing through a black aura of skin as he whispered in his broken, burned voice. “You’re not the only one.~” He continued to let out his eerie little giggles, but he calmed enough to speak. “Why don’t you put me down and we can discuss our mutual love for destruction on more…amicable terms, little girl?~”

His skin felt uncomfortable to the touch, and it unnerved her on some primal level. Skin shouldn't be that soft, it shouldn't be flaking off like this as he constantly regrew new flesh. Just burning someone alive was easy, but watching their body attempt to heal at such an alarming rate was another sight entirely. In a way that his flesh was just some worthless skin he could just shed at a moments notice. He could lose all of his skin and perhaps still stand back up and creepily walk on all muscles until he regrew. Kind of like some horrible horror monster from some movie, the unkillable man. She normally liked horror movies, but this was on another level entirely.
That laughter... It was so genuine that it was starting to give her a headache, and there was nothing she could do. She could probably try and kill him all day but she'd eventually get caught. Even if she could keep him somewhere and try and roast him forever, she would still eventually be found out. She was simply growing frustrated, her hair flaring up in anger. She wasn't scared of him, not even slightly, but she was angry. Why wouldn't this man just give up and die already so she could toss him in the dumpster and be done with it? And yet, seeing that genuine smile of his eventually come through was odd. Like he stopped fighting almost entirely, almost as if something she said made her happy in a way that Maeko certainly didn't understand. Was he happy she was trying to kill him?
And then she saw that face. That dark black face, his creepy smile, his words. He wanted to see the world burn as well. She didn't doubt it for a second, it sounded too genuine. Mutual love for destruction? She couldn't help but laugh, a grin forcing its way onto her face. Perhaps this was a trick to let him go, or perhaps he was simply smarter than he looked, but something about that smile convinced her. Maybe he truly was as insane as he acted... but if nothing could ever kill you, experiencing all the pain in the world, anyone might go insane. At the same time, his threats to report to the police still had her wary. She wasn't going to let him go, but she certainly wanted to hear what he had to say.
She would just let him drop down onto his feet as she crossed her arms over her chest afterwards. "Yeah? What of it." Maeko spoke with an almost accusatory tone to her voice, the flames upon her head ever so slowly beginning to calm and recede. No longer the massive visible flare from before, comfortably drifting back to just about floor length as it continued to billow upwards as much as it could. "I want to set fire to anything I desire, and no snot-nosed immortal brat is going to tell me what I can or can't do. So cut the crap and tell me. Tell me everything." Maeko slowly leaned closer, a genuinely curious look in her eye. Assuming what he said was true then perhaps she didn't have to burn him after all.
"Tell me what you love about destruction, convince me you're not just another aimless fool. Convince me that you want to see the world burn." She paused, that sadistic look in her eye as she nervously smiled back at him. "I don't care about society. I don't care about the rules. I don't care who gets in my way or tries to stop me. A-and..." She faltered for a brief moment, struggling to find the words to say. Her unsure words rather obvious, despite her attempts at confidence. "And... If it turns out you're in my way, I won't hesitate to find some way to end your life. Y-yeah."

Seeing her desire to burn him faltering in her eyes, the fleshy mask that Niso now wore over his actual face didn’t portray the borderline devious smirk that was hiding beneath, but he loved it when they got like this. That falter of conviction, the moment you know something you said got into someone’s brain, worked it’s way under their skin. It didn’t matter if it was something small, like convincing someone white chocolate was better than dark chocolate, or something like this, convincing someone ready to take your life that you might be worth keeping around, a like mind in a world of normies.
“Gack!” The jolt to his system as he dropped to the floor hurt, his flesh around his throat was tight and black, and Niso rapidly began to claw at it, literally pulling it away like a thick scab.It peeled away relatively easily, and with it his flesh mask just fell off of his face like it was nothing, both bits of flesh landing on the ground with a mushy sound, briefly writhing in place, like a dying animal, as his conscious cells clung to life, then dropped dead, deprived of the oxygen system needed to continue working. Niso’s flesh healed back rapidly again, soft and weak, but that was hardly different from how Niso normally was, he just ended to be more…twig like and frail than soft and mushy.
Once he had enough of his throat back to speak, he’d give it a go. “Well…” He let out, his voice briefly quite broken and squeaky, but rubbing his throat seemed to ease it up. “I’m not going to tell you what to do…or what not to do…most I was doing was telling you the consequences. You hurt me and I can call for the police…but you still have the choice to hurt me knowing that.~” He smirked a little, pushing up against the wall, forcing himself to stand as best he could, a slightly wild look in his eye…the kind only mustered by someone who not only had no sanity, but cared not that he’d lost it, yet, still…a refined element lingered above it. Like insanity had been distilled and refined in his soul.
“As far as watching the world burn goes…I suppose I can enjoy that. The beauty of destruction takes many forms but a fire…oh that’s one of my favorits. Watching the wild flickers of a flame as it whips about with the wind, slowly reducing what it touches to little more than smouldering ash…truly beautiful...” He grinned nice and wide, boldly stepping closer. “But…as much as I love a good bit of Arson…I care more to watch the walls of society burn and crumble…you see. I call myself an Agent of Chaos. I do as I like, when I like, and though their may be consequences, I choose to face them unlike every other john Jane and Jimminy who walks through that street just outside this alleyway.~” He gestured down the length of the alleyway, not even looking at the passerbys.
“Bottom line, you wanna burn everything around you, be my guest. In fact, let me help you!~ Everyone has those desires, to burn, to destroy. It’s why we all step on ants. Why we all kick a can down the road. Why we all pick at that gnawing little loose thread on a shirt. We all have those urges, but most people are just too scared of the consequences to do it…and miss…”
He rested a hand on his chest, and bowed his head. “You just met the man who cheats death…what consequences do I have to fear when death is off the table?~”

She tried not to look too much at his gross flesh, especially after it fell off his body and continued to move. There was just something so completely unnatural about the concept of his quirk that simultaneously began to disturb her, yet intrigue her even more. If burning alive couldn't kill him, what could? A stab to the stomach? She almost doubted it. He seemed to be quite confident in his ability to heal from almost anything. Not to mention, he's clearly experienced quite a bit of pain if he's grown to the point where he laughs in the face of it. This man might be crazy, but she supposed in this world crazy might actually be a good thing to be.
As soon as he was able to speak, Maeko listened intently to his every word. He didn't necessarily want the world to burn as literally as she did, but that was understandable. He wasn't born with the innate affinity for it. No, he was unkillable. His games seemed far more complex than her own. He wanted to watch society burn, unafraid of the consequences. Did he overcome the fear of death, or did he just forget what it was like to be afraid? Regardless, even Maeko had to admit that she liked what he was saying.
It was the offer to help her that made her eyebrows slowly raise in confusion. Not many individuals would attempt to help their attempted murderer, but Niso seemed like he didn't care about that. He didn't have anything to be afraid of. She couldn't kill him. Not to mention, his self imposed title of an Agent of Chaos only implied that he loved causing as much fo it as possible. A smile unconsciously grew across her face as she slowly shifted her weight from one foot to the other. The offer was wide open for assistance, a man who feared nothing, why wouldn't she accept?
With a quiet laugh, Maeko spoke. "You could end up going to jail, I suppose. Eternal life means nothing if you spend it unable to do as you please. However..." She paused, her grin growing even wider to an almost uncomfortable level. A smile so wide that it simply had to be unnaturally malicious in nature. "I think perhaps we got off on the wrong foot, hmm? Maybe we should start over just a little bit. Or at the very least, I should be nicer to the immortal agent of chaos, hmm?"
She slowly let out a soft breath, attempting to calm her body down as much as she possibly could. It eventually began to work, after a few seconds of just breathing and clearing her head. The flames of her hair dwindled, the aura of her own body heat shrinking until it was a much more comfortable level. Only after she had calmed down a reasonable amount, she reached out a hand to shake his with a slight smirk on her face. Of course, Maeko's hand would still be rather hot to the touch. Akin to touching a pot that just got off the stove, but if he truly didn't fear anything then just a little bit more pain wouldn't hurt, would it? Only if he shook would she actually continue to speak.
"Maeko Lee. Just moved here. Fresh slate. America is vastly different, let me tell you. All the fun things just seem to happen here, and once I had the chance, I couldn't risk missing out." She giggled to herself. A light, high-pitched giggle that wouldn't have been out of place coming from a schoolgirl of all things. "And you're Niso Konto, right? Agent of Chaos and all that, but tell me. Just how exactly do you plan to help me, hmm? Got a large stash of oil hanging around somewhere?"

Niso’s own smile started to grow as he noticed the one forming on Maeko’s own lips. Niso, being who he was, didn’t do well empathizing with the emotions or facial expressions of others, but the more he experienced them the more he learned. At the very least the expression Maeko was making was a good one given the circumstances, but as he pointed out the possibility of Niso being arrested, he simply shrugged and chuckled. “Time can be endured. Eventually I’d be released for one reason or another, maybe I escape. So long as I remain alive, that’s all that matters!~” Niso may have been overstating his regenerative abilities a little, but he didn’t care. He fully believed, if he improved himself enough, this would eventually be a truth. He would be unkillable, by the sharp edge of a blade, or the duller edge of time itself.
With Maeko saying they got off on the wrong foot, he dusted off his charred clothes with a simple. “Oh I definitely agree there.~” Lifting his smile back towards her once he’d adequately dusted off the charred and ruined parts of his outfit, not caring about the fact some of his clothes were hanging on by threads all the same, arms behind his back and swaying back and forth with a chipper expression.
With the other girl ‘cooling herself off’ so to speak, Niso took note that her quirk seemed to relate heavily to her emotions, given the deep breaths she needed to take. Of course, when she offered her hand he had no reason to believe she’d still be hot to the touch, but with no sense of caution regardless, he reached in and took her hand in a firm, quick grasp, the kind that forced him to squeeze tighter rather than let go and recoil when the pain hit, but as the flesh of his palm reddened, a hiss through his teeth was soon followed by a hearty chuckle, flashing Maeko a cheeky grin since she must have known she was still so hot. “Devious little minx~” He simply chimed.
With the stinging of pain going dull against the reddened flesh of his palm, he held a cheeky smirk as he endured and continued to shake her hand until she called it quits, at which point he’d pull his hand back, shake it off, and the reddened flesh would seem to heal over rather rapidly compared to the full flesh replacements Maeko’s more serious burns had caused. “Niso Konto, that I be.~” He stuck out his tongue playfully as he took a more ‘singy’ tune to his voice. “As for how I can help you…everyone needs a partner in crime. You want to burn something right? What would be the most satisfying thing for you to burn?~ I’m sure I can not only help you pull it off, but get away with it too!~” He grinned excitedly, as if, given the opportunity, he’d take her hand and run off to the nearest thing she mentioned and burn it to the ground with her gleefully, right here, on the spot.

As he grabbed her hand, Maeko only smirked with a quiet chuckle to herself. Of course, she knew she was still hot. That was the whole reason she held out her hand, to begin with. However, Niso only gripping tighter made her smirk grow even wider. After a few seconds, she let go and pulled her hand back to let him heal once again. No reason to keep burning and torturing him, he wasn't scared of the pain anyways. It wasn't fun if he didn't react so extremely, but at the same time, surprising him like that just couldn't possibly get any better.
A partner in crime, huh? The words encouraged another laugh out of her, letting out a soft breath as she forced herself to calm down. Wandering around town with the massive flames from her hair would only attract attention she didn't immediately need. Still, the question of what the most satisfying thing to burn immediately caused her to pause and think. It was a question she honestly had never thought of before, actually even moving her hand back to slowly rub her chin. Speaking her thoughts out loud, Maeko began to ramble a little bit.
"Buildings are pretty standard, I guess. But people are used to house fires. Never burnt a car before, but at the same time I don't know if it would be nearly as fun as the movies make them out to be. No explosions like Hollywood has. Lame. Although..." She paused a little bit, thinking for a few seconds. "Trees are fun too. It's all the fun of killing something living without any blood. But they don't exactly make any noise, and it's just like burning a campfire. So it's pretty boring all things considered. But..." Maeko slowly shook her head, laughing a little bit. Was it really that hard to come to a decision?
"You know? What the hell. I think I'd be down for a little bit of standard arsonry. Dumpsters are for like, stupid idiots anyways." Once again, Maeko paused before speaking with a slight flush as her flames instinctively grew. "Not that I'm calling myself an idiot, no! It's just beneath me. Yeah. That's it." She nodded her head, as if she just reassured herself rather than anyone else. But that was all that mattered to her, in any case.
"Still, if you're down... Perhaps there's an antique store around here." And with that, her smile instantly came back. Her heat radiating off of her as she continued to get more excited by the prospect. "Like, old clothes tend to spark up in an instant. I can't imagine having and problems. I'm strong enough to rip a door off its hinges, no problem. So, what do you say? Know anything like that nearby? Some old fancy store or something similar?" The idea of actually doing some big time arsonry excited her to no end. She had trouble containing her own emotions, the flames upon her head flickering upwards at a rather lazy pace.

Niso was liking this girl the more she talked, every word out of her oddly methodical about the act of arson, expressing her disappointment in the reality of setting a car on fire, or the frustration she feels in killing plantlife. Close to the real thing, which to him only confirmed she had a mild sense of delight in burning actual people alive, and furthermore, it showed she needed ‘quality’ in her activities. A tree was a living thing, yes, but it was the equivalent of vegan bacon. Sure. It was ‘bacon’ but it wasn’t bacon. Not really. Not where it mattered. And in this case, where it mattered was how much it writhed in pain and agony as it gasped for life.
He remained still as he listened to her suggestions, and at the idea of an antique store his eyes lit up. Relics of old days preserved just for the sake of preservation, somehow increasing in value simply due to the fact they were old and brittle. Metaphorically this was a brilliant target for him, destroying relics that were maintained for the sake of order and culture and the general agreed ‘good’ of keeping them rather than focusing those efforts on progressing and the chaos of the new that lay ahead…yes. Yes. This was a perfect choice.
“An antique shop of all things. Inspired to say the least! So many easy things to burn! We might even be able to blame it on something else…oooh but that would be dishonest. We should try and figure out some form of calling card to prove we were there…maybe stacking up anything metal in a pile, or re-arranging some of the furniture before it starts to burn! Oooo! This is positively delightful and we havn’t even started!” He was clearly getting excited from his gestures alone, wild and energetic with a child like glee to them at the idea of burning the place down.
He raised a finger, and grinned wide. “I know just the place too!”
Niso knew of a particular antique shop not too far from here, and he had…well, he had a personal vendetta with the place, suffice to say. The orphanage he’d been raised in was far from pleasant, and while Niso’s memory of the place was a blur of agony, recovery, and more agony, some people did stand out in his mind. He never remembered the other kids beyond those who used his self healing body as a punching bag. But, he remembered all the carers. Those who would tell him to heal up for guests visiting, abusing the fact he could hide bruises by healing them over to vent their frustrations. Some even leading to him first discovering how he could move his limbs despite broken or dislocated bones. He hated them with a passion, but now he smiled with glee as he rubbed his hands together. The owner of the antique shop he had in mind had worked at the orphanage until he was ten…and now he had a fine excuse to exact the revenge that had been slipping his mind in his pursuit of chaos.
“I have to ask…how on board are you with killing someone.” He asked, forwardly, openly, stepping closer as he asked, fully healed in his throat and looking as he should, though despite the fact he was not using his quirk to enhance it, the corners of his lips slowly curled into an unnatural, chesire like smile as he took a step with every few words. “Someone who…deserves it of course. A cretin. A vile person. Someone who no one would miss and many people would rejoice upon hearing has died…” He was omitting the fact that by now she was just an old lady running an antique store who may just snap at the occasional child who passes by. “I won’t to see her burn…” And this time, Niso offered out his own hand, fully aware of the sting he may receive on holding this girl’s hand, and oddly, welcoming it. It felt like it…solidified the handshake. He had the dedication to hold onto her hand despite the pain and it made the deal they were to make feel all the more valid.
“If I guide you to her antique store…would you let me watch her burn with you?~”
It seemed with Niso, it was in at the deep end.

Blaming it on something would be smart if they didn't want to get caught. But at the same time... Having a calling card was a good idea. Just because she didn't want to get caught didn't mean she didn't want people to know it was her. After all, if she ever wanted to gain a name in Japan, convince people to tremble by her very name alone, she needed to build up that sort of reputation. After all, why else would she come to Japan? Other than the fact that her parents moved back here, of course. She could have easily stayed in some hickstown in the middle of nowheresville in America, but if no one else saw her accomplishments, it certainly didn't have the same sort of appeal. Maybe carving out a big sun into the concrete of the floor. Or rather, even if it didn't have a concrete floor, somewhere. Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, was back in town. And this time, the Japanese Goddess was going to burn.
Knowing that he had the perfect place in mind, Maeko's grin began to spread even wider. Of course, his question only confused him. How on board was she with murder? She actively just attempted to kill him before she realized just how much of a similar person they were and yet he still questioned her? Perhaps she just wasn't convincing enough. Still, she just smiled as he continued to speak. Someone who deserved to die? "Say no more." Maeko immediately spoke, holding up her hands a little bit.
"If you say she deserves to die, and want to see her burn, then I'm not going to argue with you." Even as he held his hand out this time on his own, Maeko smirked once again. He knew he was going to get burnt and yet he still reached out, that was certainly dedication. Her own excitement was building, causing both her hair to flare up a bit and her internal body temperature to rise. Still, he almost seemed to welcome the pain this time. Reaching out herself, she took his hand with a firm grip, squeezing hard for a few seconds as she could feel his flesh burning in her hand. "Niso, I'll light the funeral pyre after we strap her down and burn out her vocal chords. Not a single complaint from me." Maybe it was because she actually had someone to encourage her violent tendencies, but she almost felt no worry at all thinking about murdering this unknown individual, compared to her stress attempting to kill Niso earlier.
Pulling back, Maeko finally let out another breath as she forced herself to calm down. It was one thing to walk through the streets with flaming hair, that was normal. It was another to walk around with a massive bonfire of flames upon her head. People really got upset if she was even extremely happy in public, but screw them. If they got burned that was their fault for not giving her enough space. Still, she doubted the cops would see it that way. After a solid minute of forcing herself to calm down, her flames calmed down enough to just be approximately shoulder length. A good thing she kept her actual hair short, otherwise the flames even at her calmest would be a bit much to handle.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and lead the way. I'll be right behind you. Maybe like, steal some shit while we're at it. Like, I don't know. Money is nice. But like, ancient pottery? Crack it to bits."
