It all begun early in the evening, while she was still in the dorms of U.A, waiting for Tetsuko to return from her trip to Kashima the burgundy-haired lass couldn't help but sigh as she looked absently at the chatroom. It was something that had been troubling Elise for quite a while: the fact that the attitude of quite a few of the students at U.A was far from the one she had expected those who aspired to become heroes would have. At first Elise was disappointed, and uncertain whether things would improve, but there was still some hope left in her heart. There were certain people, heroes like Hachi-sensei and Mia who did hold the essence of true heroism within them, and students like Tetsuko who aspired to become a 'true' hero also. However, it was when Tetsuko started to subtly express the distress she felt at the combined pressure that taking care of her mother and the sad, borderline pathetic state of U.A's atmosphere in the general chat that Elise felt the need to act. Judging from Jaeger-sensei's attitude Elise believed that the chance this would fix itself on its own was slim to none unless someone like Hachi intervened. Why the hell did Toma approve of such faculty, just a brief recall of recent events made her pretty confident that quite a few teachers at U.A were lacking in experience, ability to deal with students or were downright incompetent. Pulling on her jacket Elise left the dorm building behind her and soon walked along the streets of Musutafu, phone in her pocket just in case, and her wallet in the other. It didn't take long for her to reach the train station, after all she was quite proud and confident about her speed and stamina, but it appeared that this was where the first of Elise's problems would begin. "Uuuh... I missed the last train?" A soft sigh escaped her lips as Elise opened her phone and looked onto the screen, musing softly. "Let's see, the next train won't depart till the morning, and I can't wait that long, Tetsu wants me at her side now." It was at that point that a most creative, silly and borderline insane idea popped up within her mind! "Guess I'll just walk~ But first I need supplies~" Making her way to a nearby convenience store, Elise was fortunate enough the late hour left only a few customers for her to wait for, and once it was her turn she ended up paying for the bag of snacks and drinks she had ordered. Back on the streets of Musutafu Elise soon started to feel something odd, something peculiar even, a feeling that send a chill across her spine. Although a glance around the area shown that she was alone, the girl couldn't help but feel like she was being watched, and even as she walked away from the store the feeling didn't disappear. In fact, it grew closer and closer, to the point Elise couldn't help but wonder whether this was one of those stories she had heard about: Of a stalker?! Then again, who would even end up stalking her? Actually, she could think of a few reasons, but being paranoid right now didn't seem like a good idea, so after yet another glimpse of her surroundings Elise continued onward to the outskirts of the city. And yet the feeling didn't disappear... In fact, she felt like the one trailing her was right behind her. As if to catch the stalker off-guard Elise spun around, a hand pushing forward in an attempt to shove her pursuer away as she yelled. "GOT YOU!" . .. ... "NYA~~~~" An excited mewl came from underneath her, and looking down in bewilderment Elise couldn't help but blink at the sight: A small stray kitten was looking at her plastic bag with wide eyes, clearly hungry. "A kitten... You must be hungry, aren't you little one?" Crouching down Elise pulled a small piece from one of the sandwiches she had ordered, one which had some type of ham and cheese in it, and started giving bits of it to the kitten that eagerly chewed onto it! "Heh~ Cats did always seem to like me~ Now that you are fed, I'll have to go~" Rising back onto her feet Elise started to walk away yet to her surprise the kitten was trailing behind her. "... uuuh, I'm not going home kittykins, I'm going on a long journey~ I need to save Tetsu!" The kitten mewled softly, as if to answer her, yet when Elise turned her back at the kitten the feline suddenly pounced upwards, landing on top of her head with a soft flop. "Nya~~~~~" Of course, the adorable gesture was one that Elise couldn't help but giggle at, and soon the burgundy-haired lass hummed in amusement. "So you want to come along? Fine~ Then welcome to the party~ I'll call you 'Yuusha', you'll be one of the heroes to save Tetsu!" And so it appeared that Elise had gained her first companion on this grand journey! To the onlookers it must had been a funny sight, to see the kitten on top of her head as Elise fed it some food every now and then, and with them already leaving Musutafu behind it seemed the burgundy-haired lass had started to even sing a song! Tell every(nyaa~) I'm on my way A Tetsu to find and snuggle~ With blue skies (nyaa~)head, yes I'm on my way And there's no (nyaa~) else that I'd rather be Tell everybody I'm on my (nyaa~) And I'm loving every (nyaa~) I take With the sun beatin' down, (nyaa~) I'm on my way And I can't keep this smile off my face~(nyaa~) The playful humming of the girl, and the soft mewling of the cat clearly shown the two were in high spirits, but little did anyone know, that this little adventure, this girl's quest to be reunited with her lover... Would become Elise's incredible journey! | |
