Note: This thread takes place sometime late November of 2072, right after the events of this thread.
It was 8:55 PM. Alaster was just outside Ramos's Bar and Grill. In a few minutes, he had to go inside and meet with Revolver, the leader of the Deadlock Gang, the gang that Alaster had once worked with before being betrayed by the lot. It was only the previous day that the leader had casually walked in the alley where Alaster had fought some nosy girl who interfered with Alaster's 'fun'. Spike, the gang member Alaster was torturing prior to the girl's intrusion, was shot dead due to his incompetence and failure to get the jump on the white-haired man. After shooting at the girl to make her flee, the leader then proceeded to shoot, kick, and beat Alaster for about half an hour before essentially threatening him to show up at 9 PM sharp at the bar or else. Naturally, Alaster was pissed as hell at the gang and its leader, for several reasons. First, Revolver had the nerve to threaten him with a picture of his beloved Meiko. No one hurts his lavender angel, or threatens to, and gets away with it! Second, there was the matter of Eyes, one of the Deadlock Gang's three admins. Alaster had no clue just what the man's deal was. Did he hate him for not being an incompetent moron and easy to boss around like the others? Was he jealous that Alaster could get the job done with far more consistency than the others? Or was he merely afraid of him, worried that Alaster would try to rise to power and take over the organization from within? Whatever the case was, there was no doubt that Eyes would tell Revolver anything and everything he could to obscure the truth and make it seem as though Alaster was the problem. And despite Revolver generally being fair and just to a degree, he was also biased towards the admins, who were also his good friends. Still, it wasn't as though Alaster had a choice. He needed to show up. He could not risk Revolver actually going through with his word and trying something on Meiko. Despite the rather grim situation, there was a tiny glimmer of hope. A silver lining. The owner of the bar, Enrique Ramos, was a good friend of Revolver and let him use the bar as the Deadlock Gang's hideout and base of operations, since they had nowhere else to work from. That way, the gang would not have to try to seize territory and risk being noticed by the big boys like the Kobayashi clan. However, this stay came with a condition, one that no one in the gang, not even Revolver, could break. There was to be no fighting of any kind within the interior of the place. It would be very bad for business should that happen. This fact was the only thing keeping Alaster safe whilst in the confines of Ramos's Bar and Grill. He would not be attacked inside, that he was sure of. Outside, on the other hand, was a different story. Alaster was wearing his usual caped villain outfit. Unlike most of the time where Alaster would go out as Crowley, he had no weapons on him. No knife, no guns, no anything. He was sure that the boss would have him frisked and checked for weapons. So what was the point in bringing any? The only bright side was that there were a few crows perched on the nearby rooftops and just flying around in the vicinity. Assuming that the gang wasn't smart enough to try to scare the birds off or outright kill them, Alaster could use his quirk and theoretically use the crows to ensure his escape. However, he was not counting on it. Just outside the bar, there was a disembodied eyeball floating around the roof and scanning the area. Bollocks! Of course Eyes would think to use his quirk to look around. Walking up to the door (and honestly surprised that there were no gang members around to ambush him), Alaster sighed. He supposed it was time to get this fiasco over with. He pushed the door open and walked inside. The instant he had done so, Alaster was immediately grabbed by two huge men. One was shirtless to show off his muscles, while the other had a body made of stone. Pex and Boulder, of bloody course it would be these idiots. Alaster growled as he felt their filthy hands feel all over his body, looking for anything that he may have possibly concealed. Since Alaster had nothing to conceal, the two grunted and shoved the man down on the floor. Pex then called out. "Oi boss! Crowley's clean! Ain't got nuthin on 'im!" As Boulder tried to pick Alaster off the floor, Alaster used his hand to swat him away. Gritting his teeth in pain from how much it hurt to slap at something so hard, Alaster growled at the man. "Keep your bloody hands off me, you oaf! I can walk over there myself, thanks!"Getting up, Alaster scanned the bar. Naturally, there were several other gang members around, ones Alaster recognized all too well for the most part. Jaws, Sponge, Mummy (who was one of the few people here who wasn't a waste of a life), Moose, and several others whose names Alaster didn't even bother to try to remember due to how irrelevant they were. At the counter serving drinks was Saori Madaraki, the friendly female bartender and the only other person here that Alaster could actually tolerate. Finally, sitting down on a table near the back were three people. To the left was Eyes. One of his eye sockets were empty, due to that eyeball being outside. He did not even acknowledge Alaster's presence. The person on the right was Nails, the female admin and girlfriend of Revolver. And naturally, the big man himself was seated right in the middle, wearing his trademark cowboy hat and smoking a cigar. There was an empty fourth chair that was in front of those three, presumably for Alaster. Ignoring everyone else's glares, stares, hisses, sneers, and Saori's minuscule nod and half-smile, Alaster made his way to the table, stopping just short of the empty chair. Alaster would not sit down yet unless told to. He didn't care about manners or respect for the people who in his mind did not deserve any. He was just here for business. "Well? I'm here now. What do you want?" WORDS 1083 TAGS Rosey NOTES This is gonna end well, I'm sure |

Minutes, the man had only minutes to show up and to be fair, it would be rather disappointing if he did not. "Seen him yet?" He grumbled while holding on to the cigar, "No." He could not help but sigh, it would be about bloody time, did no one ever be punctual? How would he function with this job. He actually had high hopes for Crowley to come, had he not been clear enough with beating and that girl. Did he even care or had he called her up and run off to think he could safe his hide. No, Crowley wasn't that stupid. The person on his left, his admin and friend, would sit upright, which was enough for the man to understand what was going on. Crowley did arrive, alright, alright, he was on time, good for him.
He gave a short nod when the two picked him up to check for weapons. Again, Crowley wouldn't be that stupid. It was procedure though, caution. The man wasn't stupid, neither should he be. He looked at the others, enough, the reason why they were here was to keep an eye on the situation and just get going when this boy thought he should leave town, should leave this bar, he had a lesson to learn and apparently he had not learned it enough. He did not respect him! As he stood in front of the table, he did not sit down, he simply swore to his fellow mates and now he sort of demanded answers. Now, Revolver found himself a decent man, business needed to be done, money needed to be made and when things got slow and caught, less money was made. He had to be careful for that. He dropped the cigar in the ashtray and kicked the chair in front of him. "Be decent and sit your ass down." His eyes going from Crowley to Eyes. "Don't you have the slightest idea why you are here? I thought you were smarter than that."
What he did to Spike, well it was to be expected, he should not have asked for them to work together but what did exactly happen and why it happened was beyond him. Weren't they a family? A gang that stuck together because they had to? Why did he fail his missions each and every time, was he not reasonable to let Eyes handle it and just let him stay while they were losing money. Revolver felt kind of irritated the more he thought about it and that up tight attitude the guy showed in front of him. He decided, as he picked up the cigar again to play it the way the boy would want, "Now tell me, your part of the story." It was just a trap, a lure to talk and he eyed his admin shortly who seemed to not be happy about the commanding part, to be honest, Revolver doubted that Crowley would even answer him, but he would see, his patience was already running thin so he better come up with an answer soon.

Alaster rolled his eyes, though Revolver could not easily see it unless he was looking into Alaster's squinted eyes. "Whatever you say, boss." Adding emphasis on that last word, Alaster knew that he was being rude. But did he care? Honestly, not really. He knew exactly why he was here. Because Revolver wanted him here. Because Revolver wanted to hear his side of the story so that he could then listen to Eyes lie and contradict everything Alaster said and then believe the admin over him. Still, Alaster decided to sit down. May as well be comfortable whilst dealing with bullshit, right?
Of course, Eyes glared at Alaster and was about to comment on his rudeness, when Nails glared at Eyes. Though she said nothing aloud, the message was clear. 'Shut up and don't make a scene in front of Revolver.' Alaster noticed this but could not care less. Nails wasn't a part of this. Nobody in this bar except for Alaster, Revolver, and Eyes was relevant to this matter. After the boss finished speaking, Alaster cleared his throat and began to speak.
"Oh boy, where do I even begin? Let's see..." Alaster then turned to face Eyes. "Before I start, I must request that Eyes here not interrupt me at all until I've said everything I need to say. Then once it's his turn to speak, then he can go ahead and utter his lies. Okay? Okay." Back to looking at Revolver, Alaster sighed and began to say his piece.
"I honestly don't know when things went to the shitter. All I know is that everything was all peachy at the start when I first got hired by Eyes. He gave me the jobs, I completed them to the best of my ability like always, I got my pay, everyone was satisfied. And then somewhere, somehow, everything just fell apart. Now let me get this out of the way now. I don't give a bloody hell just what kind of bollocks Eyes has been telling you about me. But let me make one thing perfectly damn clear. The recent strings of botched missions? That was not me! I am competent, I have brains, I can actually think, unlike all the other blokes in this room besides Mummy and the cleanup crew. Maybe, instead of blaming me for everything that goes wrong, perhaps Eyes should stop being a cheap bastard and stop hiring brainless idiots who can't even hold a bloody gun the right way! Maybe, it's okay to have to pay more money to ensure you have a crew who can actually get the job done! And maybe, you should stop blindly believing everything your admins tell you, Revolver!"
A short pause, and then Alaster continued, once again glancing at Eyes. "Really, I must question Eyes's motives and reasoning here. You have a group of people you know are incompetent idiots, and you know this because you yourself has hired them so you can cut corners and receive a bigger cut for yourself. And you have someone who has shown time and time again to be a hard worker who's determined to get the job done without fail. And then one day, something goes wrong, something that's beyond anyone's control. Now you tell me. In what bloody world does it EVER make sense to blame the smart guy? Huh?! Are you freaking kidding me?"
Alaster was careful to not elevate his voice too much. He would not yell, despite how much the injustice pissed him off. He would be calm. But he would not let Eyes get away with pushing him around. "Time and time again, I get the blame for something that wasn't even my fault, and I'm the one who gets punished! Did an outsider go and shoot someone that was not supposed to die? Blame Crowley! Did Pex miss his shot for the thousandth time and notify all law enforcement of our presence, thus forcing us to flee and abandon the heist? Oh that's fine, just blame Crowley! Is it raining when you wanted it to snow? Blame Crowley! Did someone fuck up massively and now you gotta pick whose pay to cut? Well why punish the one who actually fucked up when you can just blame Crowley instead?! It seems like every single time something goes wrong, Eyes just LOVES to pin it all on me!"
At this point, Alaster took a deep breathe to remain calm. "And yet, not once have I ever heard a word of apology from anyone for the injustice of it all. Not once did anyone bother to raise any questions or bother to investigate and find the actual truth. Nope, it was all just 'use Crowley as a scapegoat' and 'send Spike on a mission with Crowley and then have him try to kill him!' Real bang up job there, by the way. My point is WHY. WHY am I the one being blamed, ridiculed, even attacked by my comrades?! After everything I've done for you all, this is the thanks I get? I've never crossed you, any of you! Sure I may have done some things on the side here and there for my own profit, but I've never turned on the Deadlock Gang! Ever! I've given my all. Hell, I gave more! I almost died for this gang! Several times, and all to ensure our continued success! And for what? So that Eyes can be jealous of me and try to do everything he can to make me disappear?! Because he thinks I'm dangerous just because I'm not a bloody moron like the rest? Tell me, Revolver. Where the bloody hell is the justice in that?"
Alaster sighed. Why was he even wasting his breath. It wasn't like anyone here was going to care about 'honor' and 'respect'. Unless Revolver actually proved him wrong and decided to be reasonable about this? Alaster doubted it. He no longer had confidence in the gang.
"Well, I've said everything I needed to say on the matter. I believe that will suffice." Now to see how Revolver would react, and of course, the shit Eyes will try to pull out of his arse to try to convince Revolver that everything was still Alaster's fault somehow.

He almost crumpled the cigar in his hand. The nerve that this boy had, he had taken care of him, he had given him a place among them, he had trusted him to do his job and all that was happening was that they were losing money and now he got the attitude. He had to stay calm but something was ticking inside his head. Like Revolver thought before, there was this small edge left of him losing his patience and you did not want to see that. He noticed Nails looking at Eyes, he noticed everything, why would anyone underestimate him or be uptight and arrogant to him. One more thing and he would just shoot.
Revolver let go of the strong grip on the cigar and looked at the boy, he might be considering himself a young man or a man but to Revolver he was nothing more than a boy, but his arrogance, his despise of the world was making him perhaps think he was much more. "It is done." Revolver answered because he agreed with the demand he made and stared at his admin with the same angry look in his own eyes and looked back at Crowley. He did note that the boy said that Eyes would speak in lies and he was afraid that it was the truth but he could not change much, if he had to make a decision and he had to, he just had to get rid of the thing that would be the biggest obstacle and that obstacle did not sit on his right hand, it sat opposite him. So much for that decision was already made.
Words. Lots of words that showed the annoyance, the arrogance, the irritation but he noted it down. Surely the boy was smart enough to understand a bit of the problem, and maybe he had a fair way of saying it but with what money thanks to some idiot either sabotaging it or Crowley really doing a shitty job, they could not hire all those high rank people, he wanted them to be here just as much as every other idiot in the room. "Stop it." He said ominous as Crowley spoke to Eyes, before his admin could jump up to accuse the boy of words that he did not want to hear, he slammed his free hand on the table to stop it without only using words. His eyes lingered on to the admin beside him, who seemed to not be able to control his own emotions such as Crowley could or such as Revolver himself could, he heaved up his large hand to make sure that Eyes would stop but the man had to be on the edge himself, yes Revolver himself was annoyed but that did not change the deal they had made. To be fair it annoyed him, if this was true, a big if, that meant that all his money was going to the man on his right hand. Tactic play. He heaved his head to look up and give off the authority that he had, "Do you really ask for honour in a criminal organisation? We are lions, it's being eaten or being used and if you are the wrong one, than you will be eaten. I do not give my opinion yet, I haven't heard all the matters I think, but do you speak about honour while everyone just wants to keep their heads?" He wasn't entirely sure what to do but he knew Eyes longer, so why would he doubt him, he understood that if Eyes was afraid of Crowley's job or well of his work to take over his own job, he respected the man for trying to wiggle a way out. It would be interesting to see how he would have managed.
"You did try to kill my man, you are commenting on my work, my gang as if you are the damn leader yourself, the nerve and arrogance Crowley, you can see I can't work with that either. I can't apologize for things I have not done, you can't apologize for things you have not done but it might be better if we split don't you think. I can imagine you will not feel trusted if you work for us again." He noticed and he wondered if Crowley would that he said us, he and Eyes were a team, Crowley was just a boy.

Respect was a two way street. The way Alaster saw it, people were only deserving to get his respect if they first proved that they deserved to be respected, that they could respect him. He did not ask for much. He did not need the money all too much, at least not anymore. All he wanted, all that he asked of not only the Deadlock Gang but anyone else he worked with, was basic respect. Don't screw him over, don't look down on him, don't betray him, don't pay too unreasonably low, etc. It all amounted to respect. That was all Alaster wanted.
It was clear then, by both the gang and gang leader's words and actions, that they held no respect for him at all. They didn't care. They were not like the gang back in England, who actually looked after one another, who actually treated its members like family. The ones who had rewarded Alaster's hard work and dedication by saving up money for a passport, new identity, and a plane ticket to Japan to start a new life and try to escape the gang life. That was what a true gang was like. To Alaster, THAT was how it should be done. But no, the Deadlock Gang are a bunch of greedy, vile, and backstabbing little piss-ants who would not understand a damn thing about loyalty and respect. They simply used people and each other and then disposed of them when they were either finished with them, or they proved to actually have more than five functional brain cells. They did not see the value, the power of loyalty.
Alaster was not stupid. He knew that most criminals did not believe in honour. But there was a difference between being dishonourable and being disloyal to the people that help keep an organization running. Without taking care to check on the foundation or structural integrity of a building, it was only a matter of time before it collapsed. How could a king lead if he did not give his subjects the incentive to follow? If a leader could not naturally be respected by his subordinates by showing respect to them in return, then they would only grow to resent and hate that leader. Then that hate would grow and fester, and then it would not be long before someone chose to rise up and revolt.
But if the Deadlock Gang chose to not be grateful for everything Alaster did for them, then why be concerned with keeping them afloat? Why bother showing respect to those who did not deserve it? If they were done with him, then he was done with the lot of them. They could all be wiped out by the big fish like the Kobayashi for all he cared. Besides, Alaster did not need them anymore. He had Meiko. Meiko was all he wanted and needed. And now that he was able to support her without their help, what use were they to him? He was the villain ranked seventh of all of Japan! Who the bloody hell were they?
"Very well then. I see that we don't see eye to eye, Revolver. I doubt that we ever did to be honest. And honestly, it's a bit sad. I was hoping to actually see this gang grow, for it to prosper and maybe even be able to compete with the big leagues. But if you insist on getting rid of me, then so be it. I cannot force you, Eyes, or anyone to listen to reason, so why bother?" Alaster shrugged before getting up. "Anything else you have to say?" If Revolver did, Alaster would spare him a minute to listen. Otherwise, he turned his back on him. "Then I suppose I'm done wasting any more of my time here."
As he made his way to the door and ignoring the various glares, jeers, and snickers from the gang members, Alaster stopped as he reached for the doorknob. He then smiled as he delivered his final message to the gang leader for the night.
"Oh, and by the way, consider this a declaration of war."
Silence. For a brief moment, nobody spoke. Several quiet murmurs and whispers, some shaking heads, and a look of worry from Saori behind the counter.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Pex was the first one to laugh. Then Boulder joined in. One by one, the whole bar was filled with laughter from the gang members. The only ones in the room who were not laughing were Alaster, Revolver, Eyes, Nails, Mummy, and Saori. Mummy remained silent, Saori looked even more worried but did not dare to say anything, Nails looked to Revolver to see what he thought of this. However, none of their reactions came close to matching Eyes's. The man was livid. Pulling out his gun, he pointed it at Alaster.
"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU SHUT THE HELL UP!" Silence. The man then glared at Alaster. "What, you think this is a joke?! Are you really that stupid? How DARE you-" But Eyes never got to finish talking as he was immediately punched in the face by Nails. The female admin glared at him. For a second, Eyes looked pissed enough to pop a vein. But then he looked at Revolver, and the look of utmost horror was written all over the admin's face. He knew that he fucked up. "I'm so sorry, Boss! I lost control and stepped out of line. Please forgive me!" Putting his gun away, he got off of his chair and bowed on the floor, hoping and praying that Revolver still found his quirk useful lest the boss just drags the man outside to be executed for his foolishness.
Meanwhile, Alaster chuckled. "No, Eyes. This is no joke. You morons may laugh at me now, but in the end, I'll be the one laughing. Laughing at all of your bloodied corpses. Laughing at how you fools crossed and mocked me and think you could escape my wrath. Mark my words, fools. I'll personally see to the Deadlock Gang's demise." And with that, Alaster opened the door, walked out, slammed it shut, and braced himself for whatever was waiting for him outside.
Because surely there was no way that this meeting was not just a long and elaborate ambush, right? It would be an even bigger surprise if he really was able to escape without a fight. WORDS 1069 TAGS Rosey NOTES Well that escalated quickly |

The way the boy spoke, only made him more like a boy in the eyes of the man, in the eyes of the leader. "So you are telling me, that we can bring this all back to the point as if nothing happened, I am letting you go, boy. That's more than I have done to anyone ever before, we might not see eye to eye but believe me, this is a favour for you." The arrogance, the irritation and well the vanity to believe that if Revolver ever kicked someone out of the Deadlock Gang, that they would survive, no he respected Alaster, he knew he could do more and would in first instance not be in their way. They did not have the same goal any longer, he was letting him go but Crowley made a mistake. The nerve people had these days, but the boy only made it worse.
The man said nothing, lowering his head so the brim of the hat he was wearing covered his eyes, but they were not closed, the ominous look on his face would say all. He watched the boy go, this time crumbling the cigar he was holding, but he would be prepared, the next steps would be making it worse but he would sit here, he knew what he wanted, all he had to do was give the boys the signal, if he wanted them to fight or not. He hated how he had hired idiots, he hated when the arrogance of the boy pointed out a few things that were right but he was the leader, he was the one that was going to fix this and that little boy that stood now opposite him, albeit Revolver was no longer watching, annoyed him the most. He would not take his job, he had not learned enough from the world, it was eating or being eaten in this world, in this gang because above them were the ones that would eat them with pleasure. The laughing of Pex, almost made him look up but he did not. He could not trust a darn person in here but Nails and he could not depend on them for the life of him but Nails.
A declaration of war.
He held on for a second more but the look on his face was that of pure wrath as he looked up, giving the sign to the others that after Crowley would leave the bar, he had to leave Earth but now he had to deal with Eyes first. He could not show his madness at the man he called his admin, but he was going to be punished for them being humiliated if he had not become that greedy, that idiotic, this whole conversation would not have to be hold and he would not be the one losing face, who was the leader here! Ha! Not this good for nothing! He hissed as Crowley left the bar, "You will pay me back, every single coin that I lost now because of your arrogance, you will pay for the loss we have made, you will pay for the arrogance and lack of respect that is showed to me, Eyes. You hear me, I will not tolerate this imbecile behaviour ever again, if that boy is right, let this be one warning because there won't be a next and you follow in his footsteps."
The sign was already given but they had to wait for him to get out of the bar, which he was now and the man stood up himself, the chair making a harsh sound on the fake wooden floor. "Now what are you all... waiting for?" His voice cold and ready for bloody murder, he himself would follow only to see that the job they got would be followed, he did not wanted to be underestimated, he could not lose more officers but a bullet to the leg would or foot just put people down for a few weeks, it would only make the listen to him more, but first... they needed to take care of the boy.
"Mark my words, boy, that attitude will be the death of you."

Of all the members of the Deadlock Gang, nobody knew Revolver better than Eyes did. Well not counting Nails, of course. After all, it was those three that conspired to overthrow and assassinate that pathetic shitstain that was the former boss. So obviously, when all the laughter died down and everyone was afraid of Revolver's reaction, nobody was as frightened as Eyes. Unlike the others, he knew just how Revolver could get when he lost his patience. He had seen in person what the boss's wrath was like. There tended to be plenty of gunshots, screaming, and blood. In fact, the fact that Eyes was even still alive right now was proof of how close he was to Revolver. He needed to be careful. Taking the boss's words to heart, the man nodded, remaining silent in fear of saying anything stupid that would get himself a fate worse than death.
Meanwhile, Alaster had not taken even five steps from the bar before already being surrounded by five goons. To him, faceless goons whose names were not even worth remembering. Of freaking course. Why would things ever be easy? Then, some footsteps were heard coming from behind the goons. Two of them stepped to the side to make room for the person behind them. "Going s-s-somewhere, Crowley?" Alaster sighed. Viper, of course this bloody prick would show up. The man with the serpentine face grinned upon seeing Alaster. "I jussst got word of what you sssaid in there. A war? How pretentiousss of you. Fool! You think you can ssstand up against usss? Know your place, ssscum!" A hiss and chuckle later, Viper continued. "I'm sure the bossss isss not at all amusssed by your idiocy. Now why don't you turn around and accept your punishment like a real man, inssstead of making sssuch arrogant and empty threatsss?"
Alaster just stood there and resisted the urge to laugh at this joker. "Oh really? And who's going to make me go back? You? And by the way, I don't make threats. I make promises. And here's a promise for you, Viper. If you and those idiots there don't get out of my way this instant, I'll murder the lot of you." Viper laughed. "Ha! Big talk coming from you, bird brain! Boysss, drag thisss idiot back inssside the bar!" Rolling his eyes, Alaster shrugged. "Fine. If you all want to throw away your lives so badly, then I'll indulge you." Two of the goons rushed in to try to punch Alaster. However, he just sidestepped out of the way and watched as the idiots ran right into the wall of the bar. The third goon was slightly less stupid, running towards Alaster from an angle that would not result in him crashing into a wall should he miss. Unfortunately, the goons did not coordinate their attacks very well, as when Alaster moved aside to dodge, goon number three crashed right into goon four. Alaster laughed. What a bunch of morons.
Unfortunately, the one moment he left himself open was enough for the last goon to come in and jab him with a knife. Bollocks! The goon chuckled, but soon became shocked when the knife failed to do anything to stop Alaster. Seeing as he had endured far worse pain in the past, having to pull out a cheap knife that did not even go in too deep was no big deal to him. "Silly fool. Here's how it's done." After gritting his teeth as he pulled the knife out, Alaster quickly swung the knife with all the force he could muster, aiming for the goon's neck. Being too slow to get out of the way, the goon felt the knife make contact, watching in horror as a vital artery was cut. He tried in vain to keep his hand on the deep cut to stop the blood flow. However, it was no use, and the goon collapsed, succumbing to the blood loss and dying within seconds.
"SSSTABBER!" Viper ran to his comrade, shocked that the man's life was taken so quickly, so easily, and so mercilessly. He hissed and roared loudly. "CROWLEY! YOU BASSSTARD! I'LL KILL YOU!" Alaster could not help but chuckle. "I did warn you morons. What did you bloody think was going to happen? Ah, but don't cry, Viper. I'll gladly send you and the others to Hell so you can catch up to that idiot. And then the rest of the gang will soon follow." Shaking in anger, Viper ran up to Alaster and punched him in the face. "Ugh!" Falling to the floor, Alaster heard the other goons getting up and rushing towards him. He sighed. Not because these goons were any threat to him or anything. On the contrary, the goons were all weak, and Viper was not much better. However, if Revolver decided to go out and deal with Alaster himself, then that would spell trouble. Alaster could not afford to waste any more time with these jokes.
Looking up, Alaster noticed several crows flying by. Six of them. Unfortunately, Viper also noticed the crows. "Go ahead, try to call your ssstupid crowsss with your pathetic quirk. Four shitty birdsss won't do you much good, Crowley." Alaster chuckled. The poor fool. "Well if you insist, Viper." With a grin, Alaster cawed loudly, activating his quirk and taking control of the crows. He then roared loudly his command to them. "KILL THESE FOOLS!" The red-eyed crows immediately swooped down to carry out their master's will.
"W-wha? Sssix? SSSIX?! I thought you could only control FOUR crowsss, Crowley! Eyesss sssaid ssso himssself! Ssso what the hell isss thisss?!" As Viper and his remaining goons were all trying to fend off the crows attacking them, Alaster stood up, chuckling as he did so. When he spoke, his voice was a bit raspy, due to the irritation caused by his quirk. "You morons know nothing about what I'm capable of." Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the crows, Alaster grabbed the stolen knife and walked over to each goon, repeatedly stabbing them to death one by one. Whenever a goon died, the crow attacking him would move from his corpse to attack the next living goon. This continued until only Viper remained. He was now being pecked and clawed by all six crows at once. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!"
Unfortunately, the bar door began to open. Bollocks! Seeing that the floating eyeball from earlier was still there, it was clear that Eyes was still using his quirk to see what was going on, undoubtedly informing Revolver of everything he was looking at. Alaster was not sure if a gang member or several were being sent out by Revolver to handle what was happening outside, or if Revolver decided to come out and take care of the problem himself. Either way, Alaster did not want to stay here any longer. He needed to go.
But would he even have a chance of fleeing the scene without being stopped? WORDS 1166 TAGS Rosey NOTES I'm sorry for the way Viper speaks. I just couldn't resist. JK, I REGRET NOTHING |

Not only was there this child who thought he had the right to call upon him and call war, he was basically called an idiot and other words that Revolver did not want to think about but also he had potential trust issues with his right hand. He looked at Nails shortly before he stood up. The small speech to Eyes must have done his job and the others were still seated as he wanted them to go out there. Could they do nothing? He did not want to admit how the people in front of him seemed to be all failures, he could have used a boy like Crowley if he only did not have such a jealous lieutenant. Why was he doomed with this scenario. "You know what, never mind. It seems I have to clean this up myself." Why would everyone wait, what did he have them here for if only Viper headed out. He stared at them all, one by one, with a cruel meaningful look in his eyes before he stepped away from the table on which he sat. His cigar was already broken and now he had to fix this issue himself. It was time to send the bullets back.
War. Don't let him laugh about it.
When he stepped outside in his heavy boots he swore that he stood in blood immediately and his eyes did not need to adjust to the ravage that was in front of him. Right so basically his companions could do nothing. He wasn't sure if Crowley was aware of him or that Eyes kept literally his eyes on him but he first shot two crows to the ground and stared at Crowley. "What's left of you if I shoot them all?" Nasty animals anyway, fore-tellers of death, idiotic and probably smarter when you could control them with a quirk. "Give me one good reason why I wouldn't just clean them all up and focus on you? You have potential boy, I see that but no one likes to be called a target either way." Because calling out a war, did not make you the innocent one all of a sudden, there would just as well as on his head be one on Crowley's own. He did not want to fight, to be honest that was beneath him, effort spend on things that did not really need it but really no one listened to him so he would have to do so himself. That's why he stood there now, he was basically wondering if the others would show up now or if they would cower in fear, that's what they were, no wonder Eyes was leading them behind his back. Maybe he would have to throw them all out and replace them. Keeping a close eye... on the man pretending to be the best and yet cowering at the table right now. It pissed him off that it would not be bad to shoot a few more bullets, simply to let go of frustration, so it had a proper function.

While the fighting outside took place, Eyes was using his quirk to show his boss and fellow admin what was happening. While one eye was outside looking at everything going on, the other eye projected a small image on the table. It was like looking at a video recording. The way Viper and Crowley taunted one another. The way the goons tried and failed to take on Crowley. The way the crow manipulator slaughtered everyone but Viper. The fact that he could mind control six crows rather than the four that Eyes had believed him to be able to control. It was all recorded and being displayed. Nails remained quiet, wondering what Revolver was going to do about this.
And then the boss decided to deal with this himself. Nails thought that it was for the best. How in the hell Eyes could be so incompetent when it came to hiring people for the gang? With how much failure there was, she could not blame Revolver for wanting to do it himself to ensure that this was done right. Honestly, the friendship Eyes and Revolver had, as well as the admin having an admittedly useful quirk, were the only reasons the woman could think of why Eyes was being allowed to live in spite of his blunders.
After Revolver headed out the door, she sighed. "A shame. I wish I could have played around with that troublemaker Crowley." She extended her sharp nails by several centimeters until they resembled razor-sharp knives. "Ah well. At least the view should be interesting." After shrinking her nails back to their regular size, Nails looked at Eyes's projection, eagerly awaiting to see her lover in action. She couldn't wait to see him turn the white-haired fool into swiss cheese.
"Bollocks!" Alaster gritted his teeth. Of course it would be the leader himself coming up to do what his mooks couldn't. Before Alaster could even think of running, there were two gunshot noises. Fortunately, none of them hit Alaster. Unfortunately, two of his crows were not so lucky, immediately dropping dead on the bloodied ground.
"Hahahaha! It'sss you, bossss! Thank god! Pleassse sssave me!" Viper's face was almost unrecognizable with how much blood, crows, and scratches there were. With how much blood he lost, Viper was pretty much seconds away from death, unless Revolver decided to gun down the remaining crows to spare the serpent man. Alaster doubted such a lowly mook would gain that much kindness from the boss considering what a worthless and unreliable failure Viper proved to be. It was more likely for Revolver to just leave the man to die. Or if he was feeling generous, he would just put Viper out of his misery and shoot him right then and there.
Regardless of Viper's fate, Alaster did not care. His attention was at Revolver at the moment. He remained frozen in place. If Revolver decided to shoot him right then and there, there was little Alaster could do about that. So for now, his only plan was to talk to his former boss for a bit, waiting for an opportunity to make his move and hopefully come up with a plan that would get him out of here alive (and preferably without him having to dig a bullet out of his body).
"Good question. In truth, I would probably be buggered. But of course, I'm not one to only rely on my quirk. That would just be idiocy." So many thoughts were rushing through Alaster's mind at that moment. If he sent his crows rushing at Revolver now, would they be enough of a distraction to ensure his escape by the time the boss shot them all dead? It was a shame for the poor birds to have to die like this, but Alaster did not have much of a choice.
"One good reason?" Well shit. In truth, there really wasn't one. To say Alaster was screwed was an understatement. Still, there was no need for Revolver to know that. Alright, time to improvise! Let's see what bullshit he could muster on the spot. "That's simple, really. I know Thundershock. Yeah, that Thundershock. You know, the number one villain in all of Japan? Yeah, he and I are close buddies. It would be quite the shame to gun down one of the most trusted allies of the most dangerous man in Japan, thus making someone like him angry at you. Do you want that, Revolver? I doubt that the Deadlock Gang would last very long against the Kobayashi. Hell, isn't that the very reason you chose to make the gang operate in relative secrecy? Isn't that why you chose to not expand? To avoid the Kobayashi's attention?"
Alaster was doing his best to remain calm and expressionless. The last thing he wanted was for Revolver to call his bluff. There was no way he could die here. No! He must escape! For Meiko! He refused to leave her alone in this disgusting world! "You think Eyes's quirk is impressive? Please! That's nothing compared to what the Kobayashi have in their arsenal. They have eyes everywhere! Nothing escapes their attention. They know I'm here. They saw what you did to me last night. They're watching at this very moment. So go on, cowboy. Shoot me. I bloody dare you! But even if you do kill me, you, your gang, your precious girl, your friends, everything you own, rule over, and hold dear. They'll all burn to the ground. So go ahead. Pull the trigger that ends up sealing your fate."
Alaster began to smile as he took a few steps back. Would Revolver buy any of this? Well if he asked for proof of Alaster's supposed alliance with Thundershock, Alaster could always take out his phone and show him Villain Chat. That was proof that the two at least knew each other. Not that they were friends, but again, Revolver did not need to know that.
Keep Revolver busy with conversation as Alaster slowly inched more and more back. That was the plan. If it worked, then Alaster could try to run. But what if it didn't work? Well in that case, it was a good thing that Alaster was very well accoustomed to pain. WORDS 1044 TAGS Rosey NOTES At least he goes big with his bullshit |

Two crows down, four more to go that were here. He was so angry, so utterly angry that it took him a lot to not immediately shoot all the crows. They were not the problem, it was Crowley and the fact that he could control them made them a little convenient at this place and time but apart from that Crows had no use for Revolver and also no drawbacks, they were just there. This boy could have been so useful if his whole plan was not screwed over. Everything, it felt like he needed to start from scratch again, his eyes stared from under the brim of his hat towards Viper and it made him want to spit on that body. Why did he mingle with people like this, why was his life linked to the scum while he deserved more. He was betrayed in a way by his own admin and now lost out of the brilliant portrait that was in front of him.
Scum, all of them except her. Nails, he should have send her to deal with this issue. To clean up eyes, if his goad damn quirk wasn't so useful, he was losing money left and right and the person creating that issue was not standing on front of him. He grumbled and spit out the heavy taste in his mouth. Came to save him, that's what Viper just said. "I shouldn't be here to clean after your ass." He shot, it was a waste of his bullet but with his quirk it made it a lot easier, he did not have to worry about bullet waste. He just had to be done with the waste of space that was there. He did not want to hear another word from those lips, he saved the crows a good deal, who fluttered up and went to sit somewhere to look down on them. He wanted to give the boy a benefit of a doubt and wanted him back but that would not work with the war call that had been brought out.
One good reason.
Thundershock.
Fuck.
There was no other word but that and it was multiple times repeating in Revolver's head while listening to his shit story and that meant his downfall. Kobayashi, he knew Thundershock, that meant he would be screwed up. But there were two things that went wrong. One, by luck and the talkactive thing from Crowley, Revolver did not talk and fall into the trap that the boy set up for him. Lost in the idea of the Kobayashi clan and being known while trying to stay under the radar of the big bad clan, he was afraid he would fall even lower with the shitheads that were in his group and that he would not even live to tell the tail but the second mistake brought word with that, broken out of the information struggle, Revolver noticed how Crowley had managed to step away inches from him every other time, he noticed that the boy was doing it again and he noticed that smile that suddenly appeared.
So the man did what he should have done earlier. He lifted up his hand, activated his quirk and tried to shot the bullet in the lower abdomen of the boy. "Tell your friend Thundershock this, I don't care and you know why my boy. Because you are lying." He might know him, Revolver might still be on the dead list if this man cared about his lower people and about every other lost boy in the city but for now the boy was lying. He would shoot another time and another, "You better run boy, or you will be food for your beloved crows."

Alaster smiled. Though he knew very little of Thunder Shock personally, it was abundantly clear just how big the man's name and reputation were in the criminal underworld. Of course the Deadlock Gang's leader would know who the man was and how dangerous he could be. Just the sheer mention of the name was enough to seemingly make Revolver hesitate, or at the very least not pull the trigger right away. This was excellent. Instill fear, and then use the moment of hesitation to be able to guarantee escape. This was a perfect plan!
...Until it wasn't.
Despite doing his best to hide the lie by keeping his expression neutral, Revolver had seemingly caught on to the lie, even calling Alaster out on it. Bollocks! With how much Alaster despised humanity, it seemed that he forgot how to act as convincing as one. Or perhaps Revolver was just that sharp and attentive to detail. Or both. Regardless, he sent a shot right at Alaster. Not being fast enough to move in time, Alaster cursed under his breath and gritted his teeth in pain as the bullet struck his abdomen. Damn it!
Alaster did not need to listen to Revolver, as his legs were already on the move. Run now... Get to cover... Hide behind the wall... Another shot, and a bullet dug into Alaster's foot. This was bad. There was no way Alaster would be able to escape without severe injury, let alone fight back. Revolver was just too accurate with his shots. In all honesty, it was nothing short of a miracle that Alaster even managed to make it behind the wall of the adjacent building without having multiple bullet holes in him. Or perhaps Revolver was just toying with him.
Still, Alaster refused to just run away like a coward. He feared no one! With his quirk's effect about to run out, it was time to quickly use it once more before the crows were freed from its influence and flew out of its range. One last-ditch effort to show that he refused to go down without a fight. Cawing loudly, Alaster felt the uncomfortably irritating sensation in his throat as the signal managed to reach the few surviving crows. It was painful to have to do this, but he had no choice. In an increasingly raspy voice, he yelled out loud.
"KILL HIM!"
The crows that remained glared at Revolver as they flew right at him like missiles locked on to their target. It was useless to expect them to do anything against the leader, as he would no doubt have no issue with shooting them all down before they could hurt him. But attacking was not the point. No, Alaster's true goal was to sacrifice the poor birds to use as a distraction. Even if Revolver saw Alaster trying to flee, the crows would get in the way and prevent him from getting a clean shot. At least not until the crows were all shot down. But by the time they were all dead, Alaster was already running, not looking back at all, and doing his best to ignore the pain, the bullet wounds, and the trail of blood he was leaving behind. Hopefully, by the time the crows were done, Alaster would be long gone.
This is not me running away. This is just a strategic retreat. Mark my words, Revolver. I'll be back! You and your rubbish gang may claim victory for today, but I'll get stronger. Strong enough to wipe you all out! Strong enough to make you all regret ever crossing me! When I said I'm declaring war, I mean it! Enjoy living while you still can, because believe me, I'll be enjoying ripping your organs out piece by piece, listening to the sounds of your screams as I do so, and laughing as you beg for your life. Nobody crosses me and lives to brag about it! I'll murder you all!
Despite Alaster's angry thoughts, it was a miracle that he could keep running. He needed to get out of here. He needed to get his bullet wounds treated. He needed to return to his beloved Meiko. He could not die here. He must return to her side. He could not be too slow, lest Revolver either decides to give chase or makes one of his subordinates do it for him. No, Alaster refused to slow down. Only after he had escaped successfully would he allow himself even a moment to rest and catch his breath.
But would escape even be possible? Would Revolver let Alaster get away? Well it wouldn't be easy, but that would not stop Alaster from trying. The message had been sent, and it was time to get away, no matter the cost! Viper was already dead (not that he ever really mattered to anyone), and Alaster refused to let Revolver shoot him dead too. WORDS 818 TAGS RoseyNOTES Run, boy, run! |

Surely he had been too nice, he had been fooled the whole time, again and again he was risking idiotic things, he was being the biggest idiot. But look at him now, two shots, exactly where he wanted. Now he would have to just finish it off, the warning shots were done, the fact that he called out for a war must be done, this was ridiculous a child of all people. But not only that would go so well, for god sake, he would first have to deal with the ridiculous flock of crows first. One by one he had to shoot them, it did not go as fast as he wanted but that was okay, they might pluck and pull at him but he would shoot them one by one, that were left and the moment he could turn his attention back to Alaster was that, the boy was gone. For god sake those bloody crows!
"Well? Where the hell are you of all people waiting for, you have to prove yourself anyway." He turned to the eye that was on the door, did they not know what they were doing, how ridiculous it was what they were, "Then get him!" There would be blood to follow the trick in the foot, the blood trickling from it, everything, it was useless, he was furious, mad with rage, what the hell did they think they were doing. They were so utterly useless, for god's sake.
"And if you do not find him, I will make sure to finish you off next." That was a lie for obvious reasons because he was sure the boy would be faster than they would be and many other things, they were idiots, he definitely should find better people especially if it was not a lie and the boy was aligned with Thundershock, death was written all over it. Was already tired of this whole idea and went back inside, just a simple wave to the woman behind the bar he went to sit back to Nails, because for the love of it, it was no use anymore. They would not find him, he would not find him, no matter the blood, it would eventually stop, it was no longer necessary, it did not matter. He would build a better group, he would find better people and he would finish off this war that started because of these idiots and yet he was the one that would have to clean it up.
"I am so tired of all of this."
