The request to the Arts Club had come as a little bit of a surprise to Jasmine. Normally they didn't many requests from anywhere - if any at all - hence this one had caught the lioness somewhat off guard when Arata had approached her with it. Supposedly Tokyo Elementary wanted some students from Yuuei to come over and introduce the school to some of the more gifted children there who were already being taught how to use their quirks. At first Jaz wondered why the Arts Club had been chosen specifically: it felt like Darren's Martial Arts Club fit the bill better than her own little band of ruffians. Arata quickly revealed that the kids in question were actually the Arts Club of the Tokyo Elementary that wanted the showing which, again, surprised Jasmine, albeit in a nice way.
It was fun to know that kids were interested in heroism at such an early age, especially in a budding society such as the one they were in at the present time. Even more so was the idea that the elementary's Arts Club had actually looked them up. Looked like her club was gaining some speed in that regard. That particular point wasn't surprising considering how much the members have been improving.
When the call first came Jasmine had realised that most of the members were busy at this particular point save for a select few. After a quick message in their chatroom Yumi had popped up as a volunteer. The girls had agreed to meet up near the entrace of Yuuei with their own equipment. "Yo," Jaz greeted the redhead when she finally arrived, offering her a quick salute and a grin as she did so. The two of them shoveled their stuff into Jasmine's duffel bag, hopped onto Bumblebee and went zooming down the streets towards Tokyo.
It didn't take them long to reach Tokyo Elementary, by which point one of the teachers was already waiting for them by the entrance, "Ah, Yuuei High School, I presume. A pleasure! I'm Mizuki Rentaro," the man would introduce himself with a short smile.
"Jasmine Noir," the lioness would reply, an equally friendly smile on her face. She'd give Yumi some time to introduce herself and to see if either of the two had any questions between each other and for her before the two of them would be led to the appointed classroom.

Yumi certainly hadn’t been expecting the call on the art club either when Jaz had invited her along to see some young kids at the elementary school, but the opportunity was a really sweet one and one she didn’t see herself passing up any time soon. Her warm smile almost presented in just her messages as she tip tapped on her phone to send messages back, humming quietly to herself, asking if she should wear the school uniform or more casual clothes to attend, and showing up for the meeting place with whatever jasmine suggested. They were sorta representing the school afterall, but it was a personal club, so it could go either way!
When the day came and the two were meeting up, Yumi had made a bit of an effort solely so she didn’t er…scare the kids, for lack of a better term. Uniform or no she was wearing fingerless gloves just so she didn’t have to explain the still healing wounds on her palms from her tournament battle with Darren, and despite hating makeup she’d applied just enough to cover the few bruise marks still present on her face. If she was in her uniform, it would be simply that, and she’d be wearing it with her shirt untucked but at least had the decency to do up her buttons given they were visiting kids. If it was her casual clothes, she’d be wearing roomy cargo pants and, while normally as it was getting warmer she’d switch to tank tops, she had a long sleeves jacket over it, again to hide a few bruises. Not ashamed of them, she just didn’t wanna explain to a room full of kids why he classmate beat the shit out of her.
“Yo, good to go?~”
She’d hop on back without any fear and start riding along with Jaz towards the elementary school, enjoying the soft rumble of the engine beneath her and holding onto Jaz for a steady ride before they arrived at the school, Yumi herself fixing her hair a little, before smiling brigjhtly at the person waiting for them. In truth it was hard to hide her excitement, she always thought she got along with kids super well, and she specialized in drawing cartoons so she really hoped her talents might actually be useful. “Yumi Tasukai, at your service.~” She bowed her head low in respect with her hands on her lap/ knees as her legs remained straight, lifting her head back up with a beaming smile. “Before we go in, I was curious, what sort of age range is this art club made from?”

Let's unwrite these pages And replace them with our own words
In all honesty Jasmine has always told herself and others that she's bad with kids. The first thought she had whenever she thought of them was that they were messy. Messy, loud, obnoxious. It never went well whenever she was dealing with them and she was well aware of this fact. Then again... back in New York, many would argue that the blonde lioness was actually really really good with kids. Back when she was living with her friends, in a makeshift shelter for the many outcasts rejected by society, she had been the one to bring food on the table. The one to care for everyone with a smile on her face. Back then she had put so much care into how she treated children one would think that the infamous Jasmine Noir actually had some kind of motherly instincts.
Don't tell her that, though. She might deck you in the face
Because of this Jasmine was really fucking glad that Yumi had agreed to come with her on this little adventure. The redhead's bubbly personality undoubtedly made her good at handling kids and that's a far cry of a comparison to Jasmine's own, often cold demeanor. Then again... the thought that she may bond with the kids through art hadn't escaped the lioness' consideration. One could only hope they weren't the type to draw genitals on paper and think that was funny. What? Yeah, they were young, but kids were kids and kids were annoying little shits.
She heaved a rough breath. Fuck I hope that's not the case.
Having temporarily been caught by surprise by Yumi's question due to having been zoning out for the past few moments, Jasmine shook her head, "Huh? Oh. Sorry. Yeah uhh..."
"You'd be taking care of eight graders, so between 11-13," the teacher added, noticing how the blonde one of the two Yuuei students had completely spaced out for a moment. He chuckled uneasily at that, then again he couldn't blame the girl - she was probably worried about handling kids, which wasn't something he could fault her for.
"Yeah, that. Thanks," Jasmine said, another breath leaving her as she shook her head. Come on. Head in the game, Jaz!
Before long the teacher finally let the two teenagers into the Arts Club room, welcoming them inside where about nine kids were seated, all about the age that the teacher had specified. All of them watched the girls with some curiosity and... awe? Looked like it, anyway.
"Kids, these two are Yumi Tasukai and Jasmine Noir. They're from Yuuei High School, here to join you for your club session," the male introduced, later turning to the girls, "My apologies, I have a class that's still in session. I trust you girls can handle this, yes?" The question was kind of odd considering the guy left without even waiting for an answer. Jasmine rolled her eyes, fucking typical.
"Ha, hahaaaa..." Jasmine said, turning to Yumi, "Floor's your's luv. Break a leg," she added, patting the redhead's shoulder as she did so.

Yumi’s relationship was kids was mostly a good one cause she still thought a lot like one. She tended not to get social norms or boundaries. Where a lot of kids asked why so they’d understand, she knew why, and she still didn’t understand, so with kids it tended to work to her advantage. Where an adult might lie to protect a child’s mind and young innocence, Yumi was honest, yet thoughtful in how she revealed her information, and most of the time she found kids loved that. A young cousin of hers once sat with her and had a long discussion about their parents getting a divorce. Yumi was the first person to talk to them without them being in tears by the end of it.
Snapping back to reality as her mind had wondered for a moment, she was introduced to the fact that they’d be dealing with an 11-13 range of kids. A bit older than she was hoping for but hopefully they’d still appreciate her approach…they were probably already a little set in social norms and the like but they were still kids and Yumi felt she’d get along with them much better than some her age. She glanced to Jaz, realizing she didn’t seem all too sure about herself if Yumi was reading her right, but giggled a little as she seemed to throw herself back into the action as it where. She herself adjusted her hair a little and started to follow along the main teacher’s route, curious to see what kind of kids formed the art club of this school. Was it kids with a genuine passion, or kids who felt like it was a nice place to relax? Or could her hopes be dashed and clubs were mandatory, and this was seen as an easy out…
Her firest impressions were actually quite pleasant. A small group so it didn’t seem like some huge mandatory club…were some of them impressed? Was Yumi all that impressive just walking in? She looked over herself, wondering why the kids looked so awestruck before ffocusing back on them, trying not to look toooo weird by just examining herself like that.
She waved cutely as she was introduced, but became briefly flustered as Jaz seemed to give her the floor, shooting her a luck that clearly said she had nothing planned before deciding to deal with it all the same and standing forward a little. “Well…introductions are kind of done for us, but I guess we haven’t learned anything about you guys huh? As far as Jaz told me you guys pretty much requested to see us right…right?” She glanced to Jaz, making sure she had that right. Her memory was never the best for small details so she made sure she was on the right page.
“Right! So why don’t we hear from you guys and ask why you wanted to see us?”
The group seemed a little quiet for a moment, the school kids not too sure how to speak up. Briefly they all looked to one of the older kids in the back, a boy who Yumi now assumed was the group’s leader…president? Probably that sounded like the right term. Well they were that. Eventually though one of the younger kids piped up, Yumi smiling warmly as he briefly stuttered but had the courage to stand up at least. “Go on, we don’t bite.”
Clearing his throat, the young boy, his voice on the verge of cracking by the sounds of it, did his best to speak. “W-we erm…we heard there were still clubs like ours when our teacher was telling us about UA…a-and when we heard there was an art club…well…”
Another kid piped up, one of the older ones. “Well…it seemed weird thinking the training heroes had hobbies and stuff.”
Yumi was sure this wasn’t the only reason all of them wanted to see Yumi and Jaz (leaving room for Jaz’s writer to give other reasons too) but it was a nice start. She looked over the two that had spoked up and giggled a little, though still held a warm, reassuring smile. “Yeah, we still have hobbies. Personally I prefer a nice bit of dancing but we don’t have a club for that.~” Her tone was playful, trying to treat the kids a little more like equals than anything else. “But seriously, as much as training’s important for us, heroes are people too, so we need to relax!~ Some of us like games, some of us even go for a nice drive.” She pointed her thumb across to Jaz with a cheeky smirk. “Jaz has got a kickass bike and I bet she can admit she must enjoy taking it for a ride now and then.~” She folded her arms and continued. “But most of all, I can tell we all at least have art in common…any of you like to draw anything specific?”

Let's unwrite these pages And replace them with our own words
As opposed to Yumi, Jasmine wasn't exactly somebody that minced words. Brought up in an unrelenting world dead set on tearing everything that she ever loved asunder, the girl had quickly learned that she needed to be strong. Failed once? Get back up again. Twice? Try again. Again, again and again. Then some more until you can't even stand and yet you still have to get up because at the end of the day there isn't going to be anyone helping you out. It's kind of why Jasmine never minced words. She would tell you how it is without giving too much of a shit in regards to how you felt about it.
That and the girl was rather practical in how she approached situations. Instead of talking things out she'd try to do something to fix the situation. She could clearly remember one time back in New York with two of the kids that had been shacked up with her at one point. A brother and a sister, abandoned by their parents and far too young to survive on the streets on their own. The sister had once returned all by her lonesome self, worried to tears that something had happened to her missing brother. While everybody talked to her and tried to comfort her, the lioness went out and found said brother. Granted she had to bust a couple of skulls along the way, almost breaking her shoulder doing so, but it got the job done.
In any case, the blonde lioness listened to Yumi speak, a brow raising in wonder at how good the redhead was with kids. Honestly on some level it felt like Yumi was pretty well cut out for this whereas Jasmine herself felt a little out of place. The kids had eventually started speaking as well, catching the blonde's attention.
One of the kids had also added one more reason into the mix, one that Jasmine had been expecting to hear, yet that didn't make her any less unhappy about it. On the contrary; the girl actually smiled, "I- uhm..." the girl spoke up meekly, trying her best to get the words out. "I was thinking about joining Yuuei after I graduate here, too..."
That was always nice to hear. In Jasmine's mind, she was happy that kids wanted to become pros. Even if it was nothing more than a dream at this point, she knew well how dreams could affect somebody going forward, molding their mentalities and their decisions in life going forward. Having a dream to help people from a young age was a noble quality to possess.
"Language," Jasmine said after that 'kickass' part, flicking the side of Yumi's head playfully. She then turned to the children again, figuring she might as well add her two cents. She was the club president after all. No point in dumping this all on her partner in crime for the day, "Yeah. Like Yums here said we have hobbies of our own, too. Our main goal is to train to become strong enough to protect the people, that is a given. But what we can't ever forget is that we're part of those people too. We're human just like everybody else. We breathe, we eat, we love, we laugh, all of those things. These tattoos?" Jasmine quickly added, raising her left arm and pulling the sleeve of her jacket down a little to display the large variety of ink spreading all around her skin from the wrist up. "This isn't my 'hero image,'" she explained, showing quotation marks with her fingers. "It's something I like, so I got it."
"From my experience art, just as so many other hobbies out there, is a great way to unwind. To relax. To get yourself back together. We're training to be heroes, after all, so what we must remember - and this goes doubly so for anybody who's thinking about going the same road as us - is that we're supposed to fight the bad guys. That's not always as flashy and heroic as it is in comic books or mangas and it sure as heck doesn't always have a happy ending. We're supposed to put the safety of others before ourselves. That... takes a lot out of you. So having something to focus on can help a great deal."
And there it was. Jasmine's explanation showed her exact approach to kids. At some point she had forgotten that she was speaking with children altogether, basically letting them peer into some of the darkness they're supposed to face on a daily basis. Christ, she kicked herself mentally when she realized the turn she made in the conversation. ...Fuck, I hope I didn't scare them, she thought, glancing at Yumi with eyes that were the definition of ...my bad?

Yumi was a tad worried she was stealing the spotlight even if Jaz had kinda been the one to shove her into it. Still she paid attention to the kids, hoping she was doing well explaining things to them. When one of the kids piped up about wanting to go to UA, she turned her eyes to Jaz to see if she wanted to handle the floor for a moment or so as she took a step back. Her eyes washed over the room, looking over the other club members…just from the look on their faces she could tell not everyone agreed with her desire. Some definitely did, but a few others clearly didn’t want to. She briefly wondered if they’d just been raised by parents who discouraged it or if they didn’t think their quirks were good enough, before something clicked with Yumi. Half these kids might not even have quirks. One clearly did, a kid in the back had very sharp canines that looked like rock poking over his top lip, not that he seemed bothered by him, but the rest of the club was a coin toss. Being around quirkers in such high numbers at school briefly made Mia forget they weren’t entirely the norm yet (in this setting at least)
As Jaz started to speak Yumi finally shifted attention back to her and straightened up her back a little. She repeated herself a little, at least, Yumi felt she delivered the same idea a few times, but it was a good message for the kids reminding them that heroes were people too and one that she was glad jaz was giving them. Something about her free spirit but more firm head on her shoulders made Yumi feel she was the gal for the job. Meanwhile Yumi, while a free spirit, could look a little oblivious and not do so well in delivering a strong message like this. Jaz could display herself more as the norm, while Yumi felt her oblivious nature lead to her being viewed more easily as an outlying factor in the grand scheme of hero personalities.
Ultimately, the conversation did go just a little dark, talking about how exhausting it could be. Some of the kids Yumi assumed didn’t have quirks, and maybe had parents who weren’t keen on the idea of heroes, sank deeper into their seats, seeming to look back on their own ideas of the hero school a little more realistically and feel a bit of guilt…the girl who said she wanted to go to UA lowered her head briefly, but stood up from her chair and perked up.
“B-but that just means you’re extra brave for doing it right? P-putting up with all that and still pushing through…that’s part of the job right?”
Yumi smirked a little, loving her enthusiasm, and shooting Jaz a look and nudging her sharply as payback for the flick from earlier, forcing her to answer the excited little kid. “Well? Go on Jaz. She’s clearly asking you.~” She stuck her tongue out with a playful expression.
