APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Niso Konto is a rough child by any measure. Typically found in worn out clothes that act as an easy fit, baggy and ill fitting without being terribly oversized or terribly torn apart. He has a lanky build to any outside eye, but without his clothes in the ways Niso is at least moderately toned.
He doesn’t take much care in washing himself, but isn’t completely ignorant of it either. A heavy rain without a shirt and a good application of his hands can be enough for him to consider himself ‘washed’ meaning he can often be seen in a rather scruffy state with patches of dirt on his skin or old bandages strapped to cuts he’d forgotten had healed a long time ago.
Typically he holds a cheery expression and faces the world with an almost eerily positive vibe, but when he decides to break this mood his gaze can appear sharp and cold, almost physically reading as a separate person as the softer features of his face read as angular and dagger like solely from the shift in expression.

Personality:
Niso has no strict way to read him. Never quite a clear headed kid, Niso even now describes his head like a storm of shifting and changing ideas he can never quite grab from. He can run with one idea only to change mid flow and run in completely the opposite direction with ease, but there are a few strict rules to his behaviours.
As a strong start, a small inspiration to his villain alias, Niso hates lying. Manipulation for the purposes of manipulation is allowed. He will fake an identity or pretend to be doing something else when picking a pocket, but when faced with someone in a natural conversation, blunt honesty reigns above all and he will never tell a white lie, or a blatant one for the fun of it or to make someone feel better as the cases may be. Honesty is always best, its more fun, and its easier to maintain. If you tell the truth and someone freaks out, its far more satisfying than a lie you could choose.
Really though Niso’s key aspect is his positivity in the face of whatever he faces. He can chuckle through pain and agony, or smile through the misery of others. It takes a lot for him to snap into a negative or even just fully neutral expression to say the least.
When the shift does occur however, it can be harsh and strong. Niso's rage and anger is not easily earned but when it is brought upon you it is hard to lose. Even if Niso somehow manages to calm down from the urge to literally rip someone apart, a lowkey grudge is near impossible to shake. Someone could aim to solely better his life after earning his ire, and after taking all their gifts he'd still happily tear them apart. If he does it with a smile, it's for his own pleasure and is something he could do to anyone. If he faces you with a true glare and a scowl, you have struck a nerve and forced him to take your existance seriously, for better or worse as the case may be.
A little genophobic, it is easy to throw Niso off his game by presenting him with sexual imagery, verbally created or physically presented, and even lesser items can throw him off balance. Two people kissing passionately can send a shiver down his spine he can't quite explain, and rather than tear at the people presenting him with these views, he will actually recoil and pull away, potentially gagging depending on the intensity of the image.
Despite his potential positivity or fury however, Niso can have his pensive and melancholy moments. These typically come after long periods of being inactive and suppressing his urges to follow his chaotic tendancies. These can be similar bouts to how others experience depression. Lethargy, lack of expressions and the like, but typically a strong enough spark of inspiration can snap Niso out of these moods in seconds.

HISTORY
Niso’s young life is a haze. His first memory is quite literally one of pain. Abandoned to Saint Martha’s orphanage at a young age, Niso never really knew why. He did know however that his quirk had already presented itself by the time he could form memories, and as such it felt like the cause. He’s still sure even now that his parents just didn’t want a kid who figured out to safely rotate his wrist 360 degrees about. No, best to leave that little freak to the orphanage to be the kids new plaything. A rather rough orphanage, Niso, seen as someone who could practically cover his own bruises and injuries, was the punching bag for a lot of older, and even some younger kid’s frustrations. Kicked, tossed about, used like a plaything thanks to his ability to survive more than most.
Growing older and older, life continued to be one big haze. Any attempt to be creative was squashed by pain. His attempts to have fun were drowned in agony. A chance to speak, suffocated by insults and harsh words. He didn’t play with the other kids if he could help it. He wanted to be outside, enjoying the fresh air, but his body learned the potential consequences he’d face.
He watched from the window one day, watching the other kids have fun…and there was red. Across the dull grey playground and harsh blue sky against the brown mundanity of the buildings surrounding the orphanage…a beautiful red. Niso’s hazey life turned vivid for the first time…a young girl with pink hair. His age perhaps? He can’t recall strongly…but she ripped apart two of the orphanages bullies before just…running away.
Niso never got to consider what came after this place. What he should look forward to, when he could see himself getting it…but seeing her run away, Niso finally realized this wasn’t his life. Not forever. It couldn’t be even if for some insane reason he wanted it to be.
The next few weeks and months passed in an odd manner. Niso’s life was both more clear and more blurred. He had something to focus on but it wasn’t the reality around him. He wanted out of this. Out of a life that he felt as nothing but a haze but a life with something new. Something engaging…something…ELSE!
He was being pinned when it happened. A small group of bullies taking out the frustrations of their lost friends. Just this time Niso played a part and didn’t passively accept the pain. Snaps and pops sounded throughout his body as his bones dislocated, his flesh turning to flimsy sleeves for the harder parts of his anatomy. Some of them released him from disgust at feeling his mushy limbs, the others couldn’t hold on, and Niso just…chuckled. It was more pain than he’d felt before in his life at once but he chuckled through all of it, smiling with glee. He’d gotten it to stop…it hurt. But it was on his terms.
There was no flashy Neon with his own escape, but death was involved. His mangled body contorted by the odd utility of his quirk, he’d grabbed whatever was to hand. A chair leg. A rock. A half broken toy slammed into a scalp with force. It didn’t fully register at the time. He was running once it was over unsure if he’d actually killed anyone or not until much later, but when he could finally walk. In a dark alleyway, in the rain, in blood splattered clothes, and most importantly…with his back straight. He smiled again, and with a sense of confidence and odd fulfilment, he continued to walk.
Niso is still homeless, but it doesn’t matter. With his quirk, tenacity, and dedication to surviving not only to live, but to enjoy life, he can make it through whatever happens.
