sometimes you want to go
WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
It had been far too long, that the Fourth Corner had gone without working televisions. It was just prior to the passing of its prior owners that the last of the outdated screens had finally gone kaput, and several more weeks had passed until Delta Ivey ultimately stopped putting off the extra investment, and purchased a set of functional new screens to entertain her many guests with whatever big game was on at the time. What had prompted Delta to have them installed, however, had not been any typical sporting bout. It was instead the extremely intriguing upcoming U.A. Sports Festival, an event the likes of which had never really been seen before, a sure sight to behold! It was her own, personal, impulse that had ultimately been the deciding factor in this new renovation.
Though, that wasn’t to say she wasn’t noticing the effects! It was outside of the bar’s usual peak hours, but the place was far from dead. Indeed, quite a few had arrived at the establishment, many in search of a healthy and hearty atmosphere while they viewed the festival. Not everyone could get a seat at the actual event, of course, given how limited they were. A few television screens were present, 3 in total, as they televised the current event, which happened to also be the one most exciting for casual watchers. A full-on battle tournament, the likes of which seemed straight from fiction, as superpowered teens duked it out for the top spot!
Delta giggled with glee at the enthusiasm of her clientele as they spectated the proceedings. She herself was manning the bar as always, her amber eye keeping a watch over the place while her multitude of arms mixed and served drinks to those who came to the bar counter. Many were with friends, grabbing their drinks at the bar before heading back to their tables or booths, where some placed petty bets on the fights proceeding. It was easy to tell when something exciting was happening - scattered cheers would erupt from those who’d put their money on the right horse, while sighs of despair escaped the lips of the men and women who weren’t so lucky.
The hours were far from late, and the fights were still ongoing, so Delta expected plenty more joy and merriment from the clientele of her lovely establishment while the day continued, and the festivities and fights of the brave boys and girls of U.A. kept all their eyes glued to the screens… However, given the content of the fights, she was expecting some very interesting guests to arrive eventually. More interesting than usual. As always, once a new guest arrived, Delta acknowledged them with her usual greeting:
”Welcome to the Fourth Corner~”
