The worlds a stage! [Melody]

Melody had shown up to Eli's performance to support him. She had been asked if he could have the music room to himself some times, and by sometimes that means a lot so Eli really put in some effort to master his instrument.  She had shown up that day not wearing her U.A uniform for once, it was such a drab piece of clothing despite the fact she wore it with pride. She wore some jeans today with a white sweater for a top and some Truck's (vans) for shoes. She looked REALLY out of place with the crowd there, after all Eli really liked old songs from her grandmother's time so there was a lot of fans dressed up in that type of clothing and then there was basic girl melody who had no business really being there aside from showing up to support her friend.

She made sure she was front row and waved really dramatically to Eli to make sure he saw her. She even gave a thumb's up once she was sure that he saw her. During the song melody took notice of Eli's skills, he had made amazing strides in his progress! The boy could barely keep the rhyme before but now he was playing whole song's fluidly! All the time he put into practicing really seemed to pay off. After the song was over Melody rushed over to the back room where Eli had been hanging out. However right before he swung it open Melody dramatically kicked down the door "ELI." she said frantically. realizing she almost killed the boy with the power of just her foot. "Oops, sorry. BUT BESIDE'S THE POINT. YOU DID REALLY WELL!!" she said really happy for him. She rarely got to have a moment like this, she felt like a proud mom even though she really didnt do much to help him really since she was clueless when it came to his instrument. Once she calmed down she reached into her bag and pulled out a small box for him to open, she bought him a present but since she hadnt seen him during Christmas she decided to give it to him now. "Sorry I didnt see you during Christmas but think of this as a congratulations present too for a really good performance!" She said smiling as she handed it to him.

Once Eli opened the box he'd see a VERY expensive set of headphones abuse (Beat's) headphones. She saw that his usual outfits carried headphones around his neck as an accessory so when she went shopping the other day she thought he might like it. They didnt get to talk very often but Melody thought Eli was a really nice guy, besides! People should be rewarded when they work hard! "And dont even think about trying to decline this gift. You earned it." she said smiling "Do you like them?"

Melody was glad Eli finally somewhat accepted a compliment on his instrument playing. She was also glad that now she'd be able to have the music room for herself some more now if ELI WOULD STOP DAMN PRACTICING ALL THE TIME AND LET HER PLAY IN IT. But aside from that she was happy he was doing so well, jealous even. But she knew her time in the sun would come eventually, ...right? A big grin came across her face as he tore through the paper wrapping, he was just like a kid during Christmas. As spoiled as it sounds Melody never really got a gift she appreciated before, her mother showered her in them but they were just so many she stopped appreciating it. She could tell her mom had no clue what she wanted and just bought her things she thought a teen would enjoy. It was just that, a thing.

Melody immediately got to work discrediting that final thought "Of course you earned it, don't say that! I noticed it and soon so will others." she said walking up to Eli and adjusting the headphones for him to make sure they looked right. "Hmm, maybe I should change it to black like your old ones." she said as she got in closer to adjust them correctly, they fit him but she felt like the color was wrong for him. "Are you sure you don't want me to get black ones instead? I don't mind going to exchange them for a different color." she said concerned if he was telling lies.

He moved on to talking about her dancing in the crowd, and enjoying the music. She turned a bit red and stuttered her words "I-I-Yeah i did..I didn't have like a favorite part really, it was just the group of people were really cool and appreciated your music." she said awkwardly, she wasn't really a big fan of the genre but she always did appreciate the technique that is required for it, you gotta have the right atmosphere, the right kind of people, hell just one look at Eli's fingers could tell you how much time it took to get them calloused to play without hurting himself. "So what are you up to next?" she asked curiously?

Ohhhh... "Ok I'll just get you a second one then." she said plainly since she really didn't have a good concept of money since she never had to really worry about it that much. In fact she kind of wondered where that money was coming from now that her mother passed...maybe she set up something with the bank to set up an allowance if she had passed? maybe her dad was in charge of it. Oh well that didn't matter at the moment. Oh god he's staring at her, her face kind of turned red as she remembered the words he had asked her the first time they had met 'Will you go on a date with me?'  Those words echoed through her mind like a flash from a camera with images accompanying them, them going out and having fun. She got cold feet the first time but she was starting to warm up to Eli thanks to the U.A chat, she wondered if he'd ask her again.

She listened earnestly to Eli, he was seriously into what was considered classic rock by their time standards...she was kind of mad that she knew so little of the subject cause it made it a bit hard for her to talk about it. In fact she had no idea which song that was from the ones Eli played. Maybe it was the one she danced to? Oh well she tried to move on from the subject to keep the conversation flowing easily when suddenly Eli suggested they go to his dorm room. Melody didn't really have anything to do that day since the Cheer-leading stuff was tomorrow so she agreed "Sure I'll come, im going out to cheer people on tomorrow with Jisa from cheer-leading so i gave myself the day off." she said somewhat excited and anxious to get out there and to talk to Jisa, he was a rather interesting character especially cause she hasn't hung out with anyone like that before. 

She walked side by side with Eli to the dorms, what was in the other bag? She was kind of curious and nosy to find out.

"Your rooming with Darren now?" she said remembering how Darren's room was the first time she had gone, ugh bad memories. She had gone to his room to try and find her water gallon that she initially accused him of stealing but really she had just found his stash of QED. She didn't really peak into the room out of respect for Darren's privacy, also the fact she'd rather not dwell on the anger of him ditching her. However the next action would make her forget all of that, Eli suddenly grabbed her hand and was leading her through the door. She kinda freaked out at first since she really had no idea how to handle someone else being interested in her. She kinda freaked out a bit but continued to hold his hand, she wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. "It's ok I already know he's a pig. I broke into his room looking for my water bottle when I thought he stole it from me as one of his pranks." she said trying to brush off the full extent of that situation.



She sat on the bottom bunk bed as Eli went to go do what it was he was gonna do while she looked around for things to talk about so that it wouldn't feel so awkward. But before she could say anything Eli had suddenly thrust something in front of her, initially she flinched for some reason but after she looked at it, she realized it was something rather cute. She stared at it for a few moments, it was a bear holding an album from Bloomer and Socks. The show she watched when she was younger..but that's not really what got her, what had gotten her was the bear. She put the vinyl after smiling at it and locked eyes with the teddy bear, she collected many plush dolls through her life time but the bear looked familiar to her. It looked EXACTLY like her old stuffed animal from her child hood. "T-Tovito..?" she said softly, the bear was exactly what her old toy used to look like the one her mother first gave her. Tears immediately began to well up in her eyes, a small gasp escaped from her lips. She got up and hugged Eli. "I-I love it, thank you..." she said, she wasn't sure what was causing the tears, was it joy? or nostalgia? she couldn't really label it. "It looks exactly like my old doll from before my house burned.." she said weakly to herself. It had been the first time, in forever that someone got her a present that actually had emotions tied behind it, it wasn't just a meaningless object meant for entertainment or greed. She pulled back from Eli as she smiled softly, how did he know? Was it just pure luck? She had a million questions. But the questions meant nothing while she realized she just stood there staring at the boy.

Melody stood there completely fixated on the bear Eli told her that there was some stuff in the bathroom to clean up her face with. He tried to run around and clean up his clothes to try and ignore her crying face. Normally she'd be embarrassed about someone seeing her so vulnerable but at this point it was too late and she was ok with Eli seeing her like this. It was kind of therapeutic actually, finally letting go and letting the reserved girl wash away and reveal the emotions she had been hiding for several months. "It's ok" she said wiping the tear away with her finger, oh shit it was stuck on her finger now. Melody frowned at the tears being so stubborn so she activated her regeneration ability to suck up the water on her finger and her face. "It's fine..I hate make up cause of how it mixes with my quirk so i don't wear it.." she  explained to him.

The stare felt like it lasted for ages, melody just stood there and it was like time had stopped as it paused on the most awkward moment possible for the two of them. However Eli sliced through that moment in time to make his move, he leaned in towards melody but she was still stuck. He kissed her and she felt a surge of emotions run through her again, however it felt different. Usually when she felt a surge it was anger, rage, or sadness even but this time she felt happiness for some reason. She hadn't felt that in a while really and she was so glad it was with Eli. WAIT THEY ARE KISSING, her face turned red immediately and she just stared at him. She knew that he found her pretty and that he liked her..hell she started to acknowledge all those boys who were chasing after her like rabbits..but Eli felt different. There was something about him, a calmness in his soul that eased her own worries. She found comfort in it and with that comfort she managed to do something that was a bit out of character for her. She let him do it, in fact she closed her eyes and tilted her head. His lips felt nice in an innocent type of way, she barely ever had touch contact so this sensation was new and nice.

As they broke the kiss she kind of stared at him like a goof and said.. "wow.." just stunned at the moment. "I-I..that was nice.." she said immediately blushing right after.

Melody immediately reacted to him apologizing "No- Dont be sorry." she said putting one finger on his lip to stop him after he finished his sentence. She had gained this sudden rush of confidence in her, her shifting mood became very evident in the way she spoke. She knew that Eli liked her now so maybe that made her a bit more confidant? Or cocky? Well whatever she felt, it was nice. She also wanted to put him at ease for his action cause she was sure he was freaking out too with those pauses in his words. She gathered the Teddy bear which she held extremely close to her bosom and the record too. "Sure, I'd like that" she said smiling at him, her heart was still beating kind of fast but Eli insisted on walking her home so she indulged him. "How'd you know I liked Bloomer and socks album by the way?" she said trying to create some conversation between the two as he walked her. Regardless of what she said, she kind of regretted denying him that first date, maybe she would have learned she liked him sooner if she hadn't said no.

She leaned her head on him as they walked to try and see how he'd react to giving her contact. She was kind of uncomfortable with touching someone else but she was always so starved of contact while she was young she wanted to know what it felt like.
