"HIYA!!"Kenshin was busy training. However, this was a different kind of training than what the boy usually did. As skilled as he was with a sword, he would need to learn how to fight without relying on a blade if he wanted to continue being an effective vigilante. There was no way Kenshin could protect anyone if he could not even protect himself effectively without relying on a weapon. It was very fortunate, then, that Kenshin would be learning from (in the boy's mind) the very best. Having asked G to help him get stronger without having to rely on his sword, Kenshin was relieved immensely when G did not just immediately turn the boy down. Of course, seeing as the man had saved his kidnapped daughter and had to take her to the hospital, Kenshin knew better than to ask right away. He waited over a week, letting G spend time with his daughter without being bothered by the boy's unwanted presence. Speaking of the kidnapping, that was yet another reason Kenshin wanted to learn martial arts. In his battle with Mirai, his transformation had run out sooner than he expected. If not for the fact that another villain grabbed her and fled with her, the boy may have had a far worse beating. Hell, he may have just been killed! The boy's bat had been shattered effortlessly. There was no way Kenshin wanted something like that to happen again. He did not want to feel weak, a useless burden holding the rest of the Storm Knights back. Kenshin was happy that his training would take place in the headquarters of the Storm Knights. Whenever the boy had free time that he wasn't spending with his family, sword training, or kicking criminal ass, he was spending time in the vigilantes' hideout. It was like a safe place for the boy to stay whenever he needed to take a break from his daily life. Almost like another home, just like Shien's Dojo and his actual house. G had not arrived just yet, so Kenshin took the liberty of setting up a few training dummies he borrowed from Shien's Dojo. Placing the three dummies around himself, Kenshin assumed a battle stance and began to land punch after punch. "HIYA! HIYA! HIYA!"As the boy continued to land more punches, he patiently waited for G to arrive so that the master could show him how it was really done. | Word count: 408

G was on his way to the Storm Knights HQ. Today was the day he was gonna train Kenshin and show him the way.... of being badass. G was still surprised Kenshin chose him over Toma, but hey! He wasnt complaining. G just found it hilarious at how many people wanted to be trained by him. He only offered to teach Chise because she was the underdog, not even in the hero course. He wanted to give her an edge. But somehow, now he has 5 students!! How is this possible "I'll never be a super secret Vigilante this way. I mean I already have some spotlight on me because Im number 1!!.... Then again, I cant complain about being number 1. It strokes my massive ego and I love it." G thinks to himself
He arrives at the hideout and enters only to see Kenshin already training. "Well.... looks like things are already going well" G said to Kenshin
Kenshin was already training, he was probably eager to learn martial arts. "I still cant get used to this" he thought "SO... what you've been doing?" G asked to see what did Kenshin work on prior to G getting here

Three punches to each training dummy, and then three kicks to each one. Three more punches, followed by three more kicks. Three more punches, which is then followed by an attempted roundhouse kick that fails horribly and causes Kenshin to fall on the floor. However, that screw up only makes the boy more determined to get it right. Getting back up, Kenshin resumed his attack on the three dummies. Punch, punch, punch... As Kenshin began to aim another kick at the dummy, he notice G had arrived. Yes! The real training would be able to begin soon! kenshin was so looking forward to this. "Hey G!" The boy greeted him with a bow. Kenshin began to wonder if he needed to start calling G sensei now. Not that he had a problem doing so. Still, this was a far more casual setting than somewhere like Shien's Dojo. The boy supposed that G was the kind of guy who would not really care so much for honorifics. Still, if G wanted Kenshin to call him sensei, then it was fine. "I'm just practicing punches and kicks on these dummies. Nothing special. It's still a massive work in progress. I'm just eager to see what techniques I'll get to learn from you. I want to see how the pros do it. Because I doubt that the random punches and kicks I've been doing are good enough in a real life scenario."The boy wondered just what kind of lesson G had planned out. Would he get to see G's awesome quirk in action again? Would he have to use his own? Or would it be something completely unexpected? Kenshin was getting excited. Whatever it was that was in store for him, Kenshin knew that he was in for a real treat. "Alright, G. I'm ready to begin whenever you are." | Word count: 308

Kenshin was eager to learn, like an eager child who will get what they wanted really much. He said he just practicted how to punch and really wanted to learn from him. G then nodded "Ok. Lesson the first. You're about to learn G's trifecta of fighting. Strength, endurance and reflexes. Strength for offence and punches. Endurance is stamina, its how long can you fight and how much punches you can take and then there's Reflexes. That's speed and dodge ability. Now lemme just see how you punch, I wanna see how strong you are. Because you can punch as much as you want, but if you dont have power behind your punch, then you might as well just mildly poke your enemy." G said He wanted to see how good Kenshin punches. Sure Kenshin was already doing that, but G didnt really get to see much as he arrived because Kenshin stopped as soon as G entered. After a while of punching, G would test his reflexes, his ability to dodge. Much like how he did with all of his other students. Those were the basics. For street fighting. Yes, that' right G was gonna teach him street fighting. His martial arts were exclusive to him, Miku and Chise. He didnt want to make his martial art well known

Like a good student would, Kenshin paid attention and listened to everything G had to say. He wanted to make sure not to miss anything important, or anything at all for that matter. Strength, endurance, and reflexes. In truth, the boy was rather lacking in the first two. Those would be where Kenshin needed to improve. Reflexes were not as bad, but Kenshin saw room for improvement there too. G then instructed Kenshin to show him his punching. After nodding, the boy closed his eyes and began to concentrate. He needed to show G a good punch, a great punch. Not some wimpy little kid punch that would just be embarrassing to watch! Kenshin was going to hit that dummy as hard as he could. Not half as hard, not some arbitrary percentage. No, he would go all out. To help him get the motivation, Kenshin began to imagine all of the horrible people he had once fought against. The wicked and despicable shadowy swordsman Yamitou, those two thugs who had hurt Kumoko, all those bullies who had ever tried to hurt Kenshin's family and friends in the past, all the quirkist assholes that continued to run around doing whatever they pleased without punishment of any kind. A great raging inferno of righteous fury began to build up inside the boy, growing more and more intense by the second. And then, once it had reached its peak... "HIYAAAAAAA!!!"With as much force and precision as the boy could muster, Kenshin slammed his fist onto the dummy in front of him. The dummy was knocked over and fell to the floor. Breathing heavily, it took a moment for the boy to calm down. He then checked his hand to see if there was any bruising or injury of any kind. Fortunately, the boy lucked out, and his hand was fine. Kenshin then turned to face G. "Whoops, I think I may have overdone it a little bit." Laughing nervously, Kenshin then awaited G's verdict. "So, what do you think?" Did he do well? The boy hoped that he did not somehow screw this up. | Word count: 353

He watched Kenshin, he had to focus, focus all his strength into this one singular punch. As he watched, Kenshin knocked over the dummy. Which was good. Kenshin then turned to G and asked what did he think "Its good, but you need to work on your strength. I cant see you pulling these kind of punches regularely. It looked like you needed time and buildup for this result, something you dont have in the heat of battle. Ok. Time for another test. Reflexes." G said and then started the 2nd part of the lesson
"When you're in armour form, you will use your sword beam blade, right? But when you're in this average and normal form, thats when you'll fight hand to hand. That means I need to see your reflexes in this form, so" G then summoned Goliath "Now dont worry, he wont slash you. Instead he will blast you with water. It will be like you're being drenched with a water hose, so nothing really serious. Just some splashing, the worst you'll get is wet clothes. So this is the test of reflexes. You need to be able to dodge attacks. Ok? Ready steady DODGE!!!"
Goliath then fired a stream of water from his mouth, his typical Hydro Gun attack at Kenshin

G had a point. This may have been a training exercise, but no competent opponent would give Kenshin the prep time to make a punch like that in real life. Sadly, it looked like the boy was lacking in strength. Alright, so that was one area the boy needed to improve. That was good. The more flaws that were pointed out to the boy, the better. That way, Kenshin would know everything that needed to be fixed. "Right. Need to improve my punches and strength. Got it."Next up was reflexes. Kenshin liked to think that his reflexes were pretty good. Still, it was best to double check and get an unbiased opinion on that, just to be safe. G wanted to text Kenshin's reflexes while the boy wasn't transformed, so he summoned Goliath to help out. Kenshin smiled upon seeing the isopod. He always found Goliath to look badass and menacing. Thankfully, he did not need to worry about having to take on its claws. Once Kenshin heard the word 'DODGE!!!', he instinctively covered his face while trying to jump to the side, all as quickly as he could. The good news was that Kenshin had moved just fast enough to avoid the worst of Goliath's sudden stream of water. The bad news was that Kenshin did not react fast enough, and thus could not completely evade the Hydro Gun in its entirety. As the boy jumped to the left, he felt the right side of his body get soaked. After getting up from the floor, Kenshin sighed. "Damn, not fast enough. Still, at least I managed to avoid getting water in my face. So that's not too bad, right?"Even if Kenshin were transformed, it would honestly not have made much of a difference. Sure he could move around at moped speed while his armor was on. But this was not about that. Kenshin figured that the point of this test was to test his initial speed, the instinct to get out of the way when the attack is first coming. And even though he could move at moped speed while transformed, he could not react that fast, armor or no armor. It seemed as though Kenshin could add reflexes to the list of things he needed to improve on. In addition to G's assessment of Kenshin's performance on that particular exercise, Kenshin was curious to know how well or horribly he would do on the next exercise. | Word count: 410

G watched Kenshin perform. Truth be told he was surprised the boys reflexes lacked. G always had the impression his reflex and dodge abilities were top notch. But he guessed thats what his Quirk boosted. Thats just one thing he couldnt wrap his head around as his Quirk did not offer any boost. G was just an average man with no superhuman strength, endurance, durability, stamina or anything. His Quirk was centered on his Spirit Animal and so if anyone was getting a superhuman buff, it'd be Goliath
Once the dodge excercise was completed, G spoke "Yeap, you need to work on that a bit more. But now since we have a rough idea what we need to work on. I'd wager its best we start by buffing your stength. We need to build the 3 foundations if you want to fight good. Your test of endurance can simply come with the strength training, how many weights can you lift. How long can you run, that sorta thing" G explained and then looked around him "Do we have any weights here, I actually dunno" G asked Kenshin, as he actually wasnt all that much in the Storm Knights HQ Hideout. Usually when he'd come, he would be more focused on Toma or his partners and a mission at hand, rather then the layout of the place

Yup, G had confirmed Kenshin's thoughts. The boy really did need to work on his reflexes. Kenshin sighed. He really had a long way to go before he could be considered useful outside of his transformation. Still, the boy was not discouraged. He was determined to prove that he was not useless without his quirk. That he was a capable fighter and warrior of justice, armor or no armor. Quitting was not an option. Kenshin would see this training through no matter what! It seemed as though the next step was to start with improving the boy's strength. Kenshin was not exactly scrawny by any means, but he was definitely far from buff. Resisting the temptation to imagine himself with an extremely buff body and bulging muscles, Kenshin listened as G asked if there were any weights here. "I'm not sure. I'll go check." Fortunately, Kenshin found some weights, dumbbells, and other exercise equipment stowed away in the back. "Perfect! I'm guessing these will work just fine?"Looking at some of the bigger weights, Kenshin knew that there was no way he could lift any of those heavier weights anytime soon. The boy was no Goliath, that's for sure. For now, he would have to settle on using the smaller weights and gradually building up from there. Kenshin had no doubt that he could lift the lightest and second lightest of the dumbbells. Maybe even the third. Still, it was probably wise to start at the lowest kilogram weight and go up from there. It was even wiser to first check with G to see what Kenshin should do. The boy patiently awaited G's instruction, ready to carry it out. Alright, time to lift some weights now, I suppose. Hopefully I don't screw this up somehow. I need to get stronger, so if lifting weights can help with that, then bring it on! | Word count: 313

G was satisfied when he did saw some weights here. Now would come the ideal test of endurance "Ok, here's what you'll do. We'll start with easiest weights. And this will be the test of endurance. I'll see how much you can use them before you get tired. It will be building up your strength, but testing your endurance and stamina. It'll allow you to perform a task longer. Okay? Best to start it small and simple" G said
And then he proceeded his way to the minifridge to get himself a drink, some good ol booze like beer. G opened the bottle and found a place to sit down and observe Kenshin and his weight lifting and training. "I need to organize em all. But I cant handle huge official classes. I think holding lessons with 2 students at max is the best. But I have ideas and I dunno what to do. And I need to organize teams of two either way" G thought to himself
But he had 5 students, Chise, Akio, Haruuhi, Miku and now Kenshin. Well, obviously that would mean someone would get a week off or something. Oof, he hasnt thought of a proper schedule too

Kenshin listened to G's instruction. Okay, lift the lightest of the weights for as long as he could. Not only would this help build up strength, but also endurance and stamina, all of which the boy needed in spades. Kenshin nodded and bowed. "Understood, sir!" Okay, maybe the 'sir' part was a bit unnecessary, but Kenshin was taught from a very young age to be formal and respectful to his teachers. As G went to get himself a drink, Kenshin was busy at work. The weight felt light. Not heavy at all. Still, G had not told the boy to move on to the second lightest weight just yet, so Kenshin continued on, keeping a mental count as he lifted the weight repeatedly. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6...Once Kenshin reached 30, he would switch to his other hand, lift the weight 30 times, and then switch hands again. On and on the boy would go until he heard otherwise from G. Seeing as the weight was very light in comparison to the others, it would take a while before the boy would come close to feeling tired. 69... 70... 71... This is easy. I can do this all day! Perhaps I should go with one of the heavier ones? 72... 73...As Kenshin continued lifting the light weight, he began to wonder just what other types of exercises he would have to do. Well whatever it was, Kenshin looked forward to taking them on. Anything to help him get stronger. | Word count: 252

G took his booze. He loved drinking beer. And he had plenty of reasons to drink it! Though shame, as sadly he couldnt since he was teaching Kenshin.
The boy was working hard, training and lifting weights, no doubt thinking this would be easy peasy. G then spoke up before the boy could "Oi, dont think this is easy. You're gonna be lifting those weights til you drop. This is building stamina. Doing the same repetative chore of a task as long as you can." G said and then continued drinking. He then took out his phone and started surfing the internet
No one said that G's lessons would be fun. Kenshin was already a good fighter. He just needed to strengthen his 3 foundational pillars before he could do any hand to hand combat lessons.
G just looked up some sites, mostly some forums he could troll. And then he looked at his uTube account and looked at some of his comments to see if he could snark at some negative comments. Negative comments would feed him and make him smile at how negative they are. Considering G himself is quite of an internet troll. Some negative comments would simply feed him

The boy was almost startled when G spoke. It was almost as if G had a mind-reading quirk or something, as though the man knew what Kenshin was thinking and was scolding him for believing that this would be easy. With a nod, Kenshin spoke as he continued to lift the weight. "Right! Understood, sir!"As Kenshin continued to lift the light weight, he slowly began to wonder if this whole exercise was just to test his patience. To see if he would be bored enough to want to leave. Well there was no way that would ever be the case! Kenshin's desire to get stronger no matter what burned far too much. He was no quitter! No matter how boring and monotonous this was now or how difficult and exhausting it would undoubtedly be later, Kenshin refused to give up. He would do what he was told without complaints. The boy really wanted to train under G, and there was no way in hell that he would ever allow G to regret his decision in taking the boy in as his student. ...142... 143... 144... 145...... On and on the weight lifting went. Some time passed, and although a few signs of fatigue began to show, Kenshin refused to make any of it too visibly clear, nor would he allow them to slow him down one bit. He was far too determined to succumb to exhaustion just yet. ...775... 776... 777... 778...Kenshin found himself wondering what G was doing while the boy was hard at work with the weight. Was he relaxing? Overseeing the boy's progress and making sure he wasn't slacking off? Checking the news for nearby criminal activity. Well whatever it was, it was no concern of Kenshin. The boy mentally scolded himself for allowing his thoughts to wander. No distractions! Only the task at hand! ...898... 899... 900... 901...If G were to watch Kenshin at that moment, he would see the boy becoming more and more visibly tired. Still, Kenshin would keep on going, not stopping for anything besides the occasional wiping off his forehead of sweat. Although Kenshin could not keep this up forever, he was just quietly lifting the weight with a razor-sharp focus, as though he could do this all day. | Word count: 382

G was surfing the internet "Heh... boobs" he thought as he watched on his phone on mute. But then he'd also glance at Kenshin who was hard at work
He was honestly impressed by Kenshin, G didnt think he'd last this long. This is exactly why G couldnt see Kenshin as a student, rather as an equal. Even though he was tired, he was still focused, at this rate Kenshin might reach a 1000, which is incredible. G knows he wouldnt last because: 1) He was lazy, 2) He'd get bored easy, 3) He doubted he'd have the patience to do it for THIS long, and 4) His Quirk did the job for him. G would summon his Spirit Animal and the fight would be over.
Compared to most heroes and villains, G was mostly an average man who had average adult strength and a good knowledge of techniques and a lot of experience. He had no superhuman strength, speed, endurance, stamina. G was just normal as a Quirkless man. Goliath was his muscle, his everything.
Kenshin though? His Quirk was Red Armour. His Quirk just gives him armour and an energy blade, his Quirk requires Kenshin to be physically fit. G curiously watched Kenshin to see how long he will last

As the minutes went by, it began to get harder and harder to lift the weight. Kenshin could finally feel himself approaching his limit. It was as though his body was crying out 'Please stop already! You've done enough!' If Kenshin could make a reply, he'd say ' Shut up and stop your bitching! We're doing more!' There was no way he would stop now. No whining! No quitting! ...966... 967... 968... 969... 970...The boy was so close to hitting a thousand. Ignoring his ever-growing exhaustion, Kenshin kept going and going. He would not stop until either he collapsed from sheer exhaustion, or G told him to. Whichever came first. ...993... 994... 995... 996...So tired... ...997......but so close... ...998... ...999...Breathing heavily, Kenshin smiled as he slowly lifted the weight once more, making the total count... "One... thousand!"Yes, he did it! One thousand total lifts of the lightest weight! Letting out a loud sigh, Kenshin was relieved to see that his mental prowess was able to overcome his physical exhaustion. He had made it all the way to one thousand! But why stop there? ...1001... 1002... 1003... 1004... 1005... 1006...Unfortunately, Kenshin's body decided to scream in protest at that moment, deciding that enough was enough. Unable to lift anymore, Kenshin sighed as he turned to face G. "1006 total weight lifts. That's not too underwhelming, is it?"Kenshin really hoped that G was not too disappointed. The boy knew that he could do so much better. But hey, that's what this training session was for! To make the boy's body less of a whiny bitch and more like a manly champion. One who could kick criminal ass and more importantly, save and protect people. All without always having to rely on his armor to get the job done. Kenshin was determined to become strong, and no matter how tired or exhausted G's training would make the boy feel, he was determined to see this training through to the end and endure whatever G decided to throw his way.
