Daydreamer

Oh shit the effect of pregnancy on her body. She worked so hard for this. She could not think clear and put her hand on her now still flat stomach, of course, the winter jacket did not make it better. "Please don't leave me when I get fat." It was actually a joke, "Will you walk me home?" She found it too cold to stay outside all the time and as she did not know what to think. It felt horrible to think of a way to distruct something. And normally she liked destruction, it was her job with the Lady Scandal columns but not now. It felt horrible, it felt not normal. What did she think! She felt a sob in her throat and that came out when she could not stand the words anymore. "I am sorry. I know. I eh I want to, I think." She held on to his jacket. She just realized tjat he was in uniform. What had he said about being worried and not seeing her and she had blurted out that she was pregnant. 


She held om to that jacket. Kissing him softly on his jaw. More she could not reach without tiptoeing. "I love you and I think I want to keep it." Which was basically what she thought before. It was horrible. The word. It would be their child. She could not make a plan of destruction on a child, her child. Her brain was yelling at her but she thought it was the right thing to do and it would make him happy. Right? She had no idea what to think anymore. He should be happy and maybe she could get used to this idea, they had time, not so much as she wanted but it was something. She shivered, it was cold. "I really want to go home." 

She couldn't help but chuckle, considering he wanted children she did not actually think he would leave her for her pregnancy body. "No, I just wanted to make sure." She smiled but also blushed, in sickness and in health was a marriage thing right? Her future had turned upside down. So many things made no sense yet. But at this point it was maybe good to not talk about it, like G said the situation was new and she was obviously panicking about too many things. She wanted to go home but he held her close and she felt save and warm and she wondered how it would be in a couple of months. Would it be good? Would she love the child? She would have to tell him that, she really wanted to try and try was not even the right word as there was no error trial that she could try. She would be a nice mother, a much much better mother than her own had been. 


She kissed him, the right decision for them. He would love the child and she would learn to love it, it would be fine. He was so surprised same as herself, only because it makes sense. She wanted him happy and if this was what it was than why stop that? Why not come to learn and love it to. She kissed him, multiple times with short but loving kisses. But it was cold and she did shiver and thus suggest to go home. She smiled at him shortly and took his hand as he walked close to her and brought her home. "Sorry, for not texting you." She really had forgotten about that. "We should consider things for the future. It comes a bit faster than I realized." She stopped walking and looked at him shortly, "I didn't even look at the papers." She held up the paper from the hospital it would make a guess for how much weeks or so she believed. She took his hand again to walk to her home about three streets away. Passing the cafe where they met again after so many years. She leaned against him, "Do you-do you think I should continue kickboxing or something?" She did not want to bring it up but considering Haruuhi, who was even a hero student, shouldn't she train or something? Especially now?

She was glad it was fine, she surely would not react so casually if it was the other way around, she might be furious, jealous, thinking the worst things but she already realized that G might be better at relationships than she was, considering he was the one keeping them together after the strangest ideas jumped up in her mind because else they would have broken up twice already, maybe even more but she did not want to think about that, because they did not break up and now there were consequences because of that... that consequence was called a child. And they had made that mistake. 

"You know result of the blood test. Oh I mean I did a blood test to see what kind of virus I had. When I thought I was ill." She had not told him that she went to the hospital a week ago to get a blood test and see what the results were today. She might have known, why else would she go visit instead of calling and going to work after. "I didn't want you to see me like that." She muttered, considering she did not look all too charming during the moments that she vomited. 

She felt tired of all this but she decided to go home, the thoughts only had made her tired and panicky, not the best way to go to work. She giggled when he spoke about bubbles and she looked up to him. "If only that worked." She smiled though and nodded, yes, maybe she should ask or use the search bots online but she wanted to be able to protect the child, for now. Now that she decided to keep it. She hoped she would not regret it. No trial and error. She could see the entrance of her building and did not want him to leave her yet. But she had no excuse to keep him here. The corners of her lips dropped and she looked unhappy. Couldn't they just stay together forever? 

She looked up when she felt a little squeeze in her hand and heard him say Let's go. Which made her smile immediately, she did not want to complain, not at all because well she knew how busy he was and she had been in a form of hiding because of her well, moments of puking and had wanted to hide that. In the elevator, she leaned against him again and waited for them to arrive at her home. She closed her eyes, just tried to relax. When G apologized her eyes flung open again, "Upset?" What about? That she had to pick a side, that she had to decide if she wanted to keep the child? "I-I am just surprised, I thought we were so careful." She muttered, fiddling with her fingers, she should call the hospital that they would save her gloves for her. Maybe she should just buy new ones without being so difficult.

Once arriving upstairs, she took off her jacket and looked at the mirror near the coat rack, obviously nothing visible but she wondered how that would look and what would she wear and... too far into the future! Or how far in the future? She had not thought about this too much and she did not want to show her panic, "Maybe we should tell, some people?" She looked back at Gil because what if she would show before she dared to open her mouth. Maybe their boss at least because what else would Gil say when he returned to work, she did not want him to return, telling him he would become a father was a good excuse not to go back any time soon, right? 

She leaned against G, yes, they had been careful, right? She wasn't even sure, that's now what she thought about when they...you know. Why did her cheeks turn crimson while she thought about something like that! How childish was she, "Yes, maybe." Meant to be. She never thought about that, maybe it was meant to be. She frowned maybe it was to step over her insecurity and not be wrong, universe telling her she would be an okay mom. A good mom. Ha funny, she could not even be nice to his kids, she would freak out if they would have to tell Haruuhi and Miku, as she was trying so hard to make a good impression on them as well as showing that she cared about their opinions and what they wanted and here she was again ruining their life. Good Job Hanako, best ever. 

She took off her coat once upstairs and looked into the mirror, she still looked like herself, albeit tired and pale but that was normal if you did not feel well, which was okay. She almost pulled herself out of his arms because it surprised her, which was stupid, she could have seen him coming in the mirror if only she paid attention. "Ha, tell that to me in like eight more weeks." More... did she just spill the beans in a not careful way. That was a rough guess, of course, considering the papers that she had looked into very shortly. She was going to miss this body, it would never come back to her probably. 

"If I don't tell you and kidnap you, can you stay?" She said with a small smile hidden in the corner of her lips, her eyes only betrayed the fact. "Yes, it might be smart to tell him." Because it would make sense to tell him why, for some reason she felt that if she said it, that she would jinx the feeling she had now, being reasonable okay with it. "What about the girls?" She said softly because that made her more afraid than Metropolitan's boss. 

She blushed because she loved it what he said. The next 20 years, oh god she actually did not want to think about that but she also did not want to ruin the mood, because it was going rather well even after her panic moment and being unclear to herself and the rest of the universe. She turned around in his arms and kissed him shortly and softly, showing how she loved it. "That's a deal." She replied that meant he was stuck with her for at least twenty more years... Wait of course, for forever, they get a child together. Which made her wonder how well this was all thought, too many questions left but the most important one was to ask who they should tell, their boss at this point made sense. Unbeknownst to each other, they thought the same, to not split up at this point. 

She looked at him surprised when he said he didn't care. "We should at least say it before I get a baby bump, I mean they aren't dumb or anything." Considering she might see Haruuhi much more often in the future she was very afraid of that, maybe it was time to already go do some shopping. She felt happy though when he said that he was focused on her. She nodded and took a deep breath, "Yes, we should." She nuzzled in his arms, "You have to stay now, I demand it." But she couldn't help but softly laugh about it. She would get out of his arms to grab her good phone and she dialled the number, the only problem was that she had to call and she looked shortly up at Gil with a worried expression on her face. She had no idea how to casually say that she was pregnant because that was like a whole bombshell in her own mind still. 

Well, maybe she should see it as ripping off a band-aid. So she clicked on the green phone and waited till it went over. The conversation went something like this, she could not even remember because it was like her brain shut off.
Hi, Mizuki here. I thought I should call and I am sorry for not calling before. 

Mhm Mhm

Ehm so yea today I got the results of my blood test and youknow I am eh pregnant. 

Mhm, yea. He's here. Okay.

Which was where the boss realized that they were together and that G must be the father as he knew they had been dating so he suggested already himself that he stayed around. Considering the man had left an impression on the boss after saving Hanako from the gorilla. 

She nodded, yes so much stuff was going on, maybe too much stuff at this point and she could not even think straight or make up a thought in general. She could not even make up a good mindset but she had now already said yes and she mostly got excited by how he was excited and she wasn't sure what her own thoughts tried to tell her. Well, the good thing is that he wanted kids, she could not imagine that he would now leave her while she was pregnant, that would be a hell and would totally make her sink into despair, but there was no need for that. So she decided to call their boss and do it by herself for as far as necessary because well he had not heard her voice or seen her face in a few days. Better explain why. 

She shifted her blue eyes at her boyfriend and tried to catch what he was saying while the boss talked to her through the phone. She shook her head, no he wasn't mad, that's what G said right? She hung up after saying goodbye and was glad that she did not have to discuss that G would have to stay, "Since you were here, he already suggested that you took the rest of the day off with me." She smiled so sometimes good things came with this. She put the phone back on the kitchen table and walked back over to G, she had so many questions, she just wanted to forget those questions, she had seven more months to think about them at the very least right?
