Tsuji took it in - the cold breeze, the sounds of rushing water - he was just taking some time to relax, which was well deserved: he'd gone out and was already pretty tired when he did, so he headed over to the forest, his usual "spot", so to speak. He let out a sigh of relief, and rolled over, crushing some small twigs and leaves underneath him in the process. With his head turned up to the top of the winding brown trees, pointing up to the sun, Tsuji smiled, and closed his eyes, ready to drift off.
"Ah... great... some quiet, finally..." he said in a soft, chilled-out manner. The thoughts in Tsuji's mind cleared, as he reached zen - at least, he would of, if he could get comfortable enough. The dirt and sticks were poking him a little bit, but it could be forgotten about. No, it couldn't. It really couldn't. Tsuji turned more, rolling his body onto a new patch, which was better - albeit at the cost of his face on the floor. "Well, at least my jacket's fine.", he said, with a exasperated tone. He looked over to the nearby tree he hung the top half of his outfit on, and then went back to trying to get snug. Maybe this patch could work? Possibly. It might take a few tries to get perfect, but it'd be worth the effort. Tsuji shifted himself a little more, digging himself into the dirt slightly. Maybe the effort could be used to move the sticks and leaves from the original patch instead... nah.

“Gah, there’s a lot of trees here.”
Brandon wipes some sweat as he runs through a forested path. Kent recommended this area to jog through, and seeing that he had some free time, he took him up on that offer. Unfortunately, Kent wasn’t able to handle the intense workout and soon stayed behind, eating the food they brought along. Grumbling, Brandon jogged alone, finding himself immersed in the outdoors. The it was a bit underwhelming in Brandon’s eyes.
As he runs ahead, he glances over to the side. He’s seen some small animals there and there, but this one took the cake. A bird was appearing to be following him, so he had a sort of spectator to his training. Personally, Brandon didn’t mind it at first, but now it’s getting annoying. He didn’t mind people glaring at him jogging, but you can’t predict what a bird would do. They’re sort of like the wild cards of the wild and-
Brandon stopped in his tracks, and the bird flew on ahead. Leaning on a tree was...a bear. Brandon looked at it with a dazed look. The only times he has ever seen a bear up close was at the zoo. Did Kent knew about bears living up here. Well whatever, as long as he doesn’t disturb it, there shouldn’t be any trouble.
The bird returned to annoy Brandon. Trying to shoo the bird away, he managed to slap it only for it to hit the bear. “Oh no.”

Tsuji felt a large thing hit him, which gave him a fairly big shock. "AHH, WHAT TH-" He looked down, and saw a bird, not too small, but not that big either. Clearly it was hurt, and there were a few feathers on the floor around it. "Oh, oh no! Are you alright lil' guy? Is your wing broken?" he said, in a quick voice, starting to feel panicked. He started to look up a bit, and tried to make out the trajectory of the bird. A directly straight line... but how co-
It was at this point Tsuji saw he was not alone. A worried-looking, brown haired man was standing nearby. He looked down at the bird, and then back up at the man. "Um... did... you... do that?" he said, relatively inquisitively. Tsuji didn't know this guy, whoever he was, but he did know one thing: he looked kind of worried. His expression changed to an attempt at a smile. "Oh, uh, don't be scared, I'm not like, feral, y'know, haha! Ha..." he trailed off slightly, as he was looking at the bird again. "Uh... my name's Tsuji. Tsuji Kuma. Do you wanna help me out with this lil' guy here?"

Brandon stares dumbfounded at the talking bear. Why was there a talking bear? It doesn’t make sense, especially for someone simpleminded as Brandon. Staring with an intense glare, Brandon freezes up, determining the course of action to take.
Was it possible to attempt to converse with a talking bear? It knew how to speak Japanese, and it has a name, so clearly it has intelligence. The issue is whether or not it shared the same morals as humans. Does it understand the morality that every being follows, that there are those who break it for their twisted means? Or does it follow Bear Morality (tm), the line of thinking that many bears follow and obey? These are important questions to ponder about
Also wouldn’t it like bite someone’s head off? Like, jeez, look at it, it’s big! On its 4 legs, it s barely near Brandon’s size. Now imagine him standing on 2 legs. That’s horrifying. He can walk up to the bear and he would pale in comparison to its height.
Brandon puts up his fists with a worried face. “I-I, Uh...stand back! I’m not afraid to, uh, fight back!” Brandon has fought many foes, but he has never fought against a bear. He has nothing to compare to, not even quirk users who can transform into a bear! “S-so, get back!”

Tsuji started to feel worried. This man, whoever he was, was clearly afraid now. "No, please, look uh, sir, I may look like a bear, but it's because of my quirk, I promise! I don't want to hurt you! Would it be ok if you could help me with this poor bird, please?" Tsuji stood upright, and moved towards the man slowly, bending down to pick up the bird, trying to hold his paws still. He cupped it, and showed it to the man to try and calm him down. "It'll be ok, we just need to help nurse this poor guy back to health." The bird chirped softly, and it moved a little in his paws, which helped with his mood.
"Look, he's already healing a little bit. Please, we need to get him somewhere safe." Tsuji said, slightly more reassured. The man's expression was still the same, though. "...Please, just... listen, what's your name? I can't just call you 'Guy', can I?" he felt it was a foolish attempt, but maybe it might have gotten through. Maybe? Tsuji wanted nothing more than to make a new friend, and get this bird someplace where he could be safer than in his paws. This man couldn't be too stubborn, right?

"Haaah...haaah...alright let's not do anything hasty..."
Brandon moves away from the bear, who has now admitted to be a quirk user. Well, there goes the thing about bear morality. But now he's coming towards him, and the fear of life returns to Brandon immediately. He's way bigger than he imagined to be, and he can't read his expression well. His words suggest he's nice, but his face? He still looks like a bear. There's no changing that, and there's no way to remove the mental image of a roaring bear from Brandon's mind.
He calmly puts down his fists, and attempts to calm himself down. Get too angry or agitated and his quirk would activate, scaring the bear into doing something irrational and harming him. "Look I- I didn't mean to harm it but it kept surrounding me and try to pick my eye out! You understand, right?" Brandon nervously smiles at the bear. "Uh, hey! Maybe we can get this bird nursed up or something?" He attempts to divert any attempts at angering the bear, plus he felt a little bad for the bird even if it was its fault for bugging him. Nevertheless, Brandon remained on his toes. If the bear attempts any move, he can't hold himself back to retaliate in response. Brandon nervously smiles.

"Well, that worked better than expected", Tsuji thought. "Oh- oh, yes of course, we can get him to a vet, I know there's one not too deep in town." he said, trying to be reassuring. He didn't want the man to act irrationally, Tsuji had had enough of that a while back, but at least progress was made. "I understand your problem, man. Birds sometimes land on me when I go to school, trying to stick around when I get to class. It's bothersome, but hurting these guys isn't the right choice." Tsuji was pretty glad that this guy didn't have a major problem with him, he was used to the initial reactions to his general bear-ness, and he seemed like he was making his way to accept it.
Tsuji could still sense his nerves though, and started to speak more calm and collected. "...I know you must be kinda freaked out, but trust me, I mean you no harm, if anything I... I wanna be friends!", Tsuji said, with a small smile. He cupped the bird in his left arm, holding him steady, and with his right, extended his arm out for a handshake. "C'mon, let's shake on it, Mr... uh... man. You have a name, right?"

The bear extends his hand. Brandon begins to sweat nervously. There's no telling what could happen next. He could attempt to give him a handshake only for the bear to immediately tear off his arm. Or he could grab on to it and bite his head off clean. Or even worse, he could rip apart his tendons and ruin his arms forever. The sweat feels like its pouring out of his body, and slight steam begins to come out of his emerging vents.
"Ah-ahahhaha...sure man...u-um...it's um, Brandon. I-Its nice to meat-meet, i mean meet you, uh, Tsuji." He extends his hand for the handshake. What he experienced was a strong and nearly bone crushing handshake, but it wasn't bad either. It was between "pleasant" and "oh god please this hurts so much make it stop." Brandon has never shaken hands before with a bear, so this is an interesting first experience. It doesn't erase away the pain however.
The handshake lasted for what felt like an eternity, so Brandon was a bit relieved when they stopped. caressing his hand due to how sore it was, Brandon grabs his back and looks back at the bear. "You, um, lead the way I guess. I have to meet up with my friend though so if you don't mind I would like to at least let him know."

Tsuji had mixed emotions at this point. He was glad he was able to befriend someone, but he also didn't feel like it was genuine just yet. "Well, thanks for telling me your name, Brandon. Sorry if the handshake was too much, I'm still trying to get to grips with it! Huh? Haha... sorry." Tsuji felt that the joke was unnecessary, but anything to lighten the mood would be good. He noticed the sweat on Brandon's brow, as well as the weird gas emanating from him. "I think you'd better go wash your face a little bit, cool down, you know? There's a small river right here. Is it your quirk by any chance? Who am I kidding, it probably is, you know I used to know a guy back in elementary school, good guy, lo-" Tsuji stopped himself before he could continue: he was rambling about himself when more important matters were at hand.
"Yeah, sure I'll uh, lead the way. I know these woods well enough to make it out of here in around about 15 minutes or so. Also, yeah, you can uh, notify your friend if you need to. Lemme just get my clothes. Hold him, will you?" Tsuji placed the bird in his paw and handed it to Brandon, and went to get his jacket, rubbing himself down and shaking the dirt off before putting it on. "Sorry about that, I like to come up here to rest. Winter's a weird time for me, I need to sleep a lot, but I can't cause I got stuff to do, so I'm usually real tired and I'm rambling again, I'm sorry."

"You, uh, come here usually? Weird..." Brandon looks at him grabbing a jacket from the tree. So that was his, then. He didn't expect it to belong to him. "Is that jacket, like, stretchy or something?" Brandon quietly asks as he calms down, the steam slowly decreasing from his body. He then sighs and grabs for his phone, only to realize something. "Aw crap. I forgot the phone back at the pitstop. I'm going to have to tell him myself." Brandon looks at Tsuji with a slanted smile.
"Hey, um, do you wanna come with me to the car? I'm guessing its hard for you to get to one place to another without attracting some, uh, unwanted attention, especially for someone your size." He still didn't know how old this guy was. He sounded young, but at the same time he has met some people whose voices didn't match their appearances. "So, uh, you seem pretty big for your age." Brandon attempts to ease into the subject without agitating him. "Im guessing like you grew pretty big during your high school days. Thats what happened to my muscles" Brandon flaunts his arms, not realizing that he barely has any noticeable muscles on them. "Bet you were the talk of the class."

"Did I grow? Of course I did man! I mean, uh, Brandon. I've still got some growth left too, I'm only 15. Looks like your kind of growth was good, too.", Tsuji said, point out Brandon's arms. He could see some muscle in there, but he didn't want to be rude and possibly lose a friend he just met. He finished putting his jacket on, and picked out his gloves from the pockets, putting them over his paws while he continued talking. "As for my high school, I've only just started at UA." One glove. "I feel like I'm making my mark though." Two glove. "And uh, sure, we can walk to your car, what kind is it though? I don't wanna break it, I broke one once a while back. It took 2 years to pay that off."
Tsuji felt much more comfortable at this point. He didn't apologize for rambling, his speech was more free - to think this started with a bird was pretty odd, but he was glad he managed to make a mountain of friendship out of a molehill of... a bird... dilemma. "Brandon, I'm glad we met. Shall we go? I'm sure our little avian ally can get some good treatment if we make good time."

"UA? 15?" Brandon was shocked. To think he almost threw up hands with a 15 year old. To think he almost picked a fight with another student. "I know someone from UA! I train her from time to time, she's pretty good at fighting. Makes sense though, I AM helping her." He proclaims, almost bragging. He looks at Tsuji, still holding the bear in his paws. "Oh, right, yeah the bird. Yeah don't worry, we drove on a small car that was loaned from our boss, so we should get there in time. Though, can ya omit the part of me, ya know, smacking it?" He sheepishly requests, shoving his hands in his pockets in a "sorry i messed up" kind of mood.
Noticing a smile from him (or at least he thinks it's a smile. It's hard to tell with bears), Brandon returns one and shows him where Kent is. The vents on his skin have retracted, and his inner temperature has cooled down. For the moment, Brandon has successfully stopped himself from fighting with a bear, and also from fighting with another kid. For Brandon, this is a personal achievement. Maybe he can convince the be- kid to train under him. He wouldn't mind practicing with someone with a bear quirk, it sounds exciting.

"For you, Brandon, anything. I won't tell a soul. Let's go." Tsuji tapped his nose twice, and smiled. "So he knows someone also in UA? And he trains them? That sounds cool. And he has a boss, that's like, proper hero stuff, maybe he could show me the ropes. I should ask- no, it's too early.", he thought. He couldn't just ask someone he just met to train, besides, it was getting kinda late, and Tsuji never really got that rest time. It could wait, though. He was happy that he made a new friend, and despite Brandon's hesitance at first, he was glad he could manage to get someone to see him as he really is - not as some weirdo, but as Tsuji Kuma.
However, there was no time like the present, so Tsuji began to walk down with Brandon, heading out of the forest, back into the world again. He might not have gotten that sleep time, but he felt oddly refreshed nonetheless. The cold breeze and rushing water were far behind, as the duo headed towards back to civilization. He let out a yawn, and grinned while looking off into the distance. "One more person to call my friend.", he thought.
