It was starting to get late into the night. The alleys were thick with fog and only the lowest of the low would dare walk these streets at night. In the back alleyway of a rundown bar is a small group of five men who are going in and out of the back door of this particular building of ill repute. Each thug is hauling a large crate and they appear to be quite heavy due to the look of strain on their faces. As one man sets a crate down, the other drops it down with a loud thud! The sound echoes far louder than usual, with an almost ear rending crash, and cuts through the relative silence of the night.
"The fuck you doing!? Don't you know what we're haulin' here?" Barks the first man.
The other just shrugs nonchalantly. "Who gives a heck? Ain't this just a buncha coke?"
The third guy smacked him upside the head. "Ya mook! Don't you dare question the boss!"
"Who questions me?" A voice growled.
The men turned around in shock at the sound of the voice. There, standing in the doorway, was the silhouette of a large man. His eyes were sharp as they glared daggers at the men and his grizzled jaw was set so tight that it was causing the veins in his neck to pop. As he took a step forward in the direction of the second man, he emanated a deep and guttural growl. His hulking figure cast a shadow over the man, nearly blanking him out of existence.
"Was it you? Answer me!"
The man cowered in fear, but squeaked out a tiny response. "W-Well, yes. I mean no...please sir! I mean, it's just some coke! Who cares how fragile we are with it!"
The grizzled man breathed in deep and then let it out through his nose, causing smoke from the cold air to billow forth into the alleyway. He put a hand on the man's shoulder and gave him a firm nod. "Just some coke? Is that what you think this is? You know something? I feel you deserve a raise for your bold statement, my little friend."
"Really? Gee, thanks boss! I-EH!?"
His sentence was cut off as the bigger man let out a ferocious roar, grabbing the man's crotch with his other hand. He raised the thug up high above his head and threw him against the brick wall. The sound of bone breaking caused the thugs to wince in fear. As he crashed onto the hard concrete below, there was a nauseating wet squishing sound. There was no further movement coming from him.
The leader turned to the remaining four men with a snarl on his face. "Oops, my mistake. I wasn't fragile with him...does anyone else wish to question the might of Sergei the Indomitable!? The man who would take down Thunder Shock!? EH!?"
The group of men all lowered their heads in terror of the man's booming voice. Non of them dared to say a word. Sergei rested his hand on the pommel of his sword, sheathed on his right hip. "Good. You are not here to question me. You are here to serve me. Now...GET BACK TO WORK! I needed this shipment loaded hours ago, you filth! Get the lead out!"
