Hellion
Anti-Gel Line
The hero profession was a growing one and it was only natural that the businesses around the world adjusted to cater to this growing market. And while the discovery of quirks slowed technology for a while, many businesses and corporations were making leaps and bounds to catch up to the time that was lost. One such organization was the Hellion Corporation. With the first professional hero school opening up this year, the tech business wanted to break into the hero market by providing services and devices for the budding heroes of the world. Japan was going to be their first market and their first line of products was being made and was just about ready to be sold. And that first line was all about non-lethal villain capture. There were very tricky quirks out there and capturing them was not easy, so the Hellion Corporation was going to help close that gap. They were going to help the heroes that were helping everyone else.
This product was going to be shown as a commercial. On phones, during videos, on the radio and even on television, they had bought a massive amount of ad space to try and get their product well known. While some disagreed, marketing was usually the largest expense put into a product between development and sales. And this commercial was here to put the Hellion Corporation on the map.
The scene started with a shot of downtown Tokyo. It panned down from the sky to a business sideways on a sunny afternoon. It was just after the lunch rush hour and their streets were filled with actors playing businessmen walking in various directions to get where they needed to go. The scene finally settled in front of a bank. It was the ever classic scenario of a criminal robbing a bank for money. The shot zoomed through one of the bank's windows to show what was happening inside. The patrons of the bank were grouped together n one side of the lobby. They were bunched up into a group and had a weird brown slime wrapped and stretched around them to prevent them from moving. Likewise, the tellers behind the glass panels were forced to stand at the counter with their hands stuck to it by the same weird brown slime.
All but one of the tellers were unable to move from where they were. And the last? They were being forced to gather the money in the bank and stuff it into bags. They had to fill each bag up as much as they could and bring them to an area on the other side of the door that separated the tellers from the lobby. As for the slime's origins and the one that was robbing the bank as a whole, it was an actor playing the part of a villain. They had a sludge-based quirk, which was the example the commercial wanted to provide for the line of products the Hellion Corporation was soon to reveal. He stood there as a humanoid shaped blob of brown slime that was yelling to the teller to hurry up before the police arrived. "Get the money in the bag before I suffocate them all!" He yelled in a hurried tone.
The scene was a troublesome one. It was the type of scene that people played in their heads whenever they went to the bank. With the advent of quirks and villains, especially after the recent announcement in the news, the idea of something like this happening wasn't all that far away. It was a danger and worry that most common folks had. And that was why it was chosen as the setting for the commercial.
The scene cut to an alley not too far from the bank. A man stood there in a business suit walking with a briefcase in hand. On his hip was a small radio that was toned into a fake police line. And on it, a message could be heard. "Possible bank robbery at 555 Okane Ave." The silent alarm at the bank had been triggered and the police were being notified. "Possible hostages at the scene." A second message that only lent credence to the urgency of it all. It was at this point those seeing or hearing the commercial could imagine themselves being that hostage, or better yet, being that man. That ma that was the hero. He dashed out of sight of the camera for a moment. The sound of his briefcase dropping only for it to fall to its side into view of the camera a moment later. Then, with a quick pan of the camera upward, a figure int he distance could be seen flying off into the sky.
The scene then cut back to the bank where the last of the bags of money were being placed on the counter for the villain to take. The teller backed away from it, obviously frightened and worried. The villain quickly scooped up what they could with their slimy body. But just leaving wasn't enough. To ensure a quick escape, the slimy guy wiped out his arm and knocked the teller to the ground. In the process, a band of slime strapped them to the floor to stop them from following the villain. And now that they had their money, the villain ran from the side exit of the bank.
But as many people watching were asking by now, where was security? Just as the villain made it to the door, a gunshot rang through the halls of the bank. From behind a desk, a security guard had popped up and fired at the escaping villain, COntent with just letting them escape, seeing how cruel they were to the frightened teller emboldened the guard to finally step up and do something about what was going n. Unfortunately, the gun had no effect. The bullet shot straight through the slime and hit the wall in front of the villain. It did stop him, however. Not because it hurt, but because it made the villain angry. The slime person turned around with indignation and cocked one of its arms back. The villain's aim was to fling a shot of slime at the guard's mouth. Covering it would suffocate the guard and grant the villain the petty revenge he was looking for.
However, before all that could transpire, the figure seen in the previous scene had arrived. Dropping from the sky in a classic superhero landing was a muscular man in tights and a cape. It was the quintessential superhero and instantly recognizable for the role he was supposed to represent. His landing caught the attention of the villain, which made them flee instead of attacking the guard. The next scene was a chase one. With the camera following the hero as they chased the villain through the alleys around the bank before finally ending up on the street. The busy crowd quickly dispersed and the area for the showdown was quickly defined.
The villain's escape route was blocked by the hero, but they didn't seem worried at all. Instead, the villain charged directly at the hero to run right at him. Seeing this, the hero rose his arm and attempted to punch the villain with his strength to stop him in his tracks. But as those watching would have guessed, his punch went straight through him with no effect. The villain's slimy body just moved around the hero and he laughed as he kept running. This was where the audience would be left wondering what could be done to stop such a villain. Security and even heroes had failed to stop the people that caused so many problems. Fortunately, the Hellion Corporation had the answer.
From what could only be described as hammerspace, the hero pulled out a weapon. It was a large two-handed gun that was helped like a grenade launch. It was high tech and sleek in design. Nd naturally, the colorization was a black and red color modeled after the company itself. The scene was paused in time as the camera did a slow pan over the gun in the hero's hand before zooming out a bit. Here, the text naming the weapon was shown with a stylized font. "The Liquid Destabilizer!" Then, as time unpaused, the hero fired the hand cannon at the villain. A burst of energy fired forward and hit the villain in the back of the shoulder. It hit them like an air cannon would hit a normal person and knocked him to the ground.
Quickly, while the villain was downed, the hero pulled a small disc from their belt and again, the time paused with the same font. "The Energy Net!" It was tossed at the villain and landed on the ground near them. The light on the top blinked three times as the villain slowly rose up to their feet before a grid fence made of light was formed around them. The villain tried to slip through the obvious holes but was unable to make it, as if an invisible barrier was up.
With a proud and heroic smile, the hero walked up t the villain and pulled out a pair of handcuffs. "Hell's Bucket" was the title given to it as the cuffs were slapped around the slime person's arms. They worked as normal handcuffs would, but the liquid body of the quirk user was unable to slip out of them. They were effectively holding them even though their body was made of liquid. And finally, the hero thrust his hand into the villain's body to pulled out the bags of money and hold them up in the air triumphantly. The crowd around the scene erupted into applause as the hero saved the day.
The commercial then cut to each of the products lined up on a white table with a white background. It was designed so that all the focus would be on the products after such an amazing scene and worrisome scenario was shown. I the middle was the gun. It sat highest on the table with a placard under it to show the name of the weapon. To its right was the disc, set on a stand that held it in an upright position and it also had a placard underneath it. And to the left of the gun were the handcuffs. A pair of them hung on a board that was sitting upright on the desk to keep them together with the rest of the products. The camera slowly zoomed out from the display and revealed the name of the product line above the display. "Hellion's Anti-Gel Line."
It was a line of hero products desired to deal with liquid and gel-based quirks. With all the different things that were out there, some gaps need to be filled as villains became even more bold with their actions and quirks. With these products, all heroes now stood a chase at handling these types of quirks. Whether the quirk just used liquids or if it was a mutation that made their bodies like a liquid as shown in the commercial. But this wasn't just being advertised to professional heroes. It was for the police as well. This fact was made obvious by the small text at the bottom of the screen or sent quickly after a radio advertisement. "Hero License or Police Identification required at time of purchase."
It was clear that this was only the first step for Hellion and their products. The wanted to help heroes and move in on the market that was growing because of them. And with the first generation of professionally trained heroes coming to be, it was the perfect chance for them to enter the market and get their name out there. They had a lot of different things in the works and were aiming to put the majority of the company's resources into this field.
In the end, the screen fades to black with red letters sprawling across the screen. The company's slogan was the last thing to be seen and the most important thing for those watching or hearing to remember about Hellion.
"We help heroes help you."
