417 WC Omn nom chicken | "Yippee-ki-yay Motherfuckers."
Chimera was flopped flat against his pillow, an half-full plate of chicken--bones partially gnawed--and a bottle of water on one side and Emi Tachibana on the other. It was a couple movies in and the students had started texting back and forth over the course of the evening for the sake of not talking over the loud explosions and memorable lines spouted by Spruce Billis as he kicked his ass through a bunch of classically 80's style mooks. Ah, the days when this film was made much have been insane. Nowadays somebody like this would be considered a villain, no matter how noble he was being. Only in movie logic could you kill thirteen guys, even in self-defense, and ride off into the sunset.
He reached for a chicken wing and his teeth ripped through the skin like tissue paper. Crunchy, greasy, lightly spiced tissue paper. He loved the way the spicy mix smelled but his stomach could not handle that, especially not when he was already sneaking chocolate chip cookies when he knew he shouldn't.
But it was Christmas. Holiday cheer, merry moments, living dangerously.
The chat reached a lull as the others in the room focused on the film once more and Chimera placed his phone near the food plate, finishing his chicken in two more bites and set the bone aside. Legs had better ones to chew. He then peeked his head up at Emi at his side and her fluffy white coat and pink pajama's. He was glad she'd come. He was glad everyone had come, but he'd been worried about the vlogger who turned him into a star accidentally. He saw her everyday in class, sure, but class was class. This was a party, even just a little one, and with luck she'd feel able to relax a bit more.
These crazy high-strung heroines. Her and Rin were super different in a lot of ways, but they both had this weird air that kept others at a distance. Rin with that timid yet untouchable feeling she gave others, Emi with...her Emi-ness.
With the chat dull and his mouth free he poke Emi's shoulder with the pad of his finger. "Hey, you said you have questions for me?" He spoke in a whisper, though with how close they sat it shouldn't have been hard for her to hear. "If you promise not to, like, ask something really weird, I'm up for answering." |

Emi barely tilted her head in his direction. Enough for him to know he’d been acknowledged, and then she was staring at the screen. “How do you feel about pets? Like, on your head.” The girl paused. “I mean being pet on the head, not having pets. And everywhere else. Actually, having pets too.”
She lay atop a blanket, hands propping her head up as she watched the film. As far as she was concerned, there was no need to wrap up when her dress doubled as a duvet. A beautiful duvet that deserved to be admired, even. Even if she wasn’t looking at Chimera, one only had to listen to realise she saw no issue with her questions. Neither her expression nor her tone gave a hint of shame, only casual curiosity. After all, it wouldn’t be the first or the last time she asked questions better left for a more private space without a care. If that bothered him, it was too late for him to bring that up! Besides, asking questions was what people did with their… acquaintances. At least, she assumed. She had few acquaintances, and mutant acquaintances even fewer, and so he would have to show her the ropes.
“And your ears. Are they like… people-soft? Can you tie them in a knot? And what’s the deal with this film, anyway?” She furrowed her brow. “Isn’t this guy, like… the villain? I mean, I know the McGruber guy is bad too, but they’re both killing people. A lot of people. What kind of Christmas movie is this?” She turned to face him properly, gazing at him with mild suspicion. “Did you choose this? Are you… trying to send us some sort of message? Because I’m not sure I get it, but I feel like I should be worried anyway.”

Chikako Saiafa was sullen in the background, watching these movies that she saw as very cruel. She could never imagine any of these murder happy movies would have existed if it was not for tonight proving her otherwise. Old movies were oddly violent, well that is what Chikako thought of it anyway; she was not one for violence in the first place. Though, it did not help that she was never into movies to begin with.
Chikako after a while of disappearing in the background, remembered why she was here. It was not to watch movies, despite that being the whole reason the event was hosted, but to make at least one friend tonight. The animal boy seemed to be quite friendly and it helped that she already spoke to him and did not have to explain her situation again to someone else. Thus, she went towards the male in hope that he would respond with her attempts to befriend. Though, she noticed that a certain pink-head was there talking to him. She stopped in her tracks of getting up, putting on a akward thinking face as if she was debating if it was a good idea to get in between the two.
'Chikako, get over yourself. your not going to get a friend if your afraid of a boy with a girlfriend. it is not like your trying to date him', she thought to herself, getting the misinformation that they were dating, she could not hear the nonsensical questions she was asking and only saw a cute girl acting snuggily next to a boy.
Approaching them again, she sat down a bit away and flipped her notebook to him, having wrotten something along her way here. "Hello, I know I just left but I wanted to thank you for adding the sub-titles. Also, sorry for interrupting your time with your girlfriend, but could I stay with you? I will be honest, I am not very good with people and I do not know anyone in here", bowing after giving him a few seconds to read it. She sat down near them and assumed her ball up form and began to write again. She left the notebook inbetween the three of them after writing this time leaving the pencil ontop of the book.
"Do you mind if we talk a little, or write I guess", she buried her face into her knees a bit embarrassed yet again.

646 WC b-baka straight girl | "I think I said before that as long as you ask, I don't mind?" Chimera looked up at Emi from where his head was laid across his folded arms, finding himself looking up at her rather than on eye-level since she was propped up rather than laying flat like he was. It was funny. In the low lighting he couldn't tell where her big fluffy robe--seriously, that thing was as poofy as he was--ended and the rest of the blankets began, so she kind of looked like she was melding into the bedding. He didn't need any blankets himself, though; his fur kept him comfortably warm, even in the coldest times of winter, such as tonight.
Her questions continued and while he was paying attention to her, he noticed that the quite girl from earlier was scooting her way closer to them, notebook in hand. Before she could show him what she was writing though he glanced back up at Emi. "They're rabbit soft, I think. And, er, no? They aren't long enough to tie. I could probably hold them with a band or something but...I mean, they feel like ears. So it isn't super comfortable having them tugged."
He couldn't help but snickered into his paws at her confused expression upon mentioning his choice of film. "Okay, so it's an American film from a hundred years ago that...for, like, every year since the early two-thousands started an argument over whether or not it's a Christmas movie just because it takes place on Christmas, has Santa hats, Ode to Joy...even if it's a crazy action-adventure movie with lots of violence. It's a really, really old joke. It's still going today! And I'm sorry but as a red-blooded American I couldn't help it." Chimera shrugged his shoulders. "It's also got way better pacing than most movies made after it, so fight me, I like it, even if it's bloody as hell."
That was when Chikako flipped her writing pad towards him. A small smile started on his muzzle as he got through the first dew sentences, but upon seeing one word, he felt his face turn red beneath his fur. "She's not--!" he started, voice a pitch too high and maybe a bit too loud for being in the middle of essentially a movie theater. He clamped his paws over his mouth. Thankfully, nobody seemed to be paying much attention, or maybe they hadn't heard him over the excessive explosions on the screen. Thank God. Chikako was deaf, too, so telling her the truth aloud wasn't going to work.
Chimera awkwardly took the pencil when it was available and scribbled out what he'd meant to say, rather than had squeaked: "You're welcome! And you don't have to apologize. Emi isn't my girlfriend, we're just friends! You can totally sit with us. To be honest I don't know everyone here either. This got way more popular than I expected. But hey, new people means new friends?"
He drew a small face with a sweat-drop, a smile, and horns next to his words.
"That came out sappy," he added beneath the rest, and placed the pencil down. His face still felt uncomfortably hot. Did...did he and Emi look like a couple right now, just because they were sitting together? Chikako was new, so she didn't know the two of them had history together thanks to the video. Unless she did? It had a ton of views on it, one of them could be her. Still, it was really awkward to think that they gave off that impression. Emi probably wouldn't know what to do with a romantic relationship--she didn't even seem to understand friendly ones to some extent--and as for him...well...
...
"I, uh," he mumbled aloud to Emi, "Sorry about the noise. I was...startled." |

Rabbit soft. Emi tapped a finger against her cheek a few times, trying to determine whether or not she was pushing her luck. The last thing she wanted was to make him worry about a face he couldn’t change… But who else could she ask? “How do you know they’re rabbit ears? Did you sit down with one and compare?” The mental image brought on a cheeky smirk. “I dunno. Could be dog ears as well, couldn’t they? Like the little sausage dog. It’d match the rest of your face... Meaning that you look more dog than rabbit. Just so we’re clear.” She had no clue what kind of insult he’d draw from that otherwise, but it was better to err on the side of caution. He was a nice guy that was putting up with her, and the last thing she wanted was to drive him off with her (alleged) poor choice in words. At least, that was what some of her classmates had told her. She still wasn’t sure that she believed them.
Then came Chimera’s explanation of a weird foreigner joke. He looked way too enthusiastic about a joke several times their age, but what kind of person would she be if she denied him that? “I don’t get it. I mean, I do, but… You guys have an interesting sense of humour.” As if on cue, another poor soul was shot dead on screen. She glanced at his lifeless body, then back at the boy, one eyebrow raised… And then both narrowed. It was getting harder and harder for her to ignore that he was distracted, but she didn’t bother to turn and look until then.
A girl had snuck on them. Well, her. Her face was one Emi didn’t recognise. Must have been a new student, and one that wasn’t in 1-B. She looked harmless. Almost worryingly so. Small, underweight, sickly and what was that in her ear? A hearing aid? Wasn’t being partially deaf a problem for a wannabe hero? Hell, how was she going to beat a villain when it looked like a gust of wind could take her out? Her quirk had to be something special for the school to admit that kind of liability.
Emi made no effort to hide that she was staring, sizing the girl up. Finally, her gaze fell to her paper. Right, she really was deaf. She read formalities, polite words… ‘Girlfriend?’ Emi’s eyebrows shot up, but her eyes didn’t go with them. That wasn’t right. She liked the boy, sure, but that was a bit much. As much as she’d come to accept mutants, she wasn’t so sure about dating them. No offence, she thought. Besides, between his freak-out in the chatroom and how smitten he was with Serperior, there was no chance of a happy couple any time soon. Especially with his reaction. She tried not to be offended by the squeak, but quickly decided it wasn’t a problem.
She could get him back and then some.
While Chimera wrote, Emi reached for her phone. They’d already been texting throughout the night, long enough for her to have shown off well-trained typing thumbs. While he wrote, she pulled up her note app, and prepared a message of her own, conveniently pointed away from him:
Sorry, he’s still a bit nervous about telling people :’( He means well tho Feel free to join us! Did you get any chicken yet? I might go get some in a second, the smell keeps taunting me
With the job done, she held the screen up for the girl to see. Given a few seconds, she would draw it back to add more.
Name’s Emi Ryoko Tachibana, and this is Chimera. Both 1-B. Tell us about yourself <3
"What? Nah. Don't worry about the noise. Didn't even notice."

Oddly enough, it seemed that Chikako had snuck up upon the pair not alerting them of her presence into after she had shoved the notepad in front of Chimera's face. That was something Chikako was a bit surprised about, she did not think it would ever be possible for someone like her to be able to sneak behind someone, she was an eye catcher and she did not think that in a good way; more of how inhumanely tiny she was. Not to mention how clumsy she could be at times. And if that was not enough surprise, it seemed that the face of the boy named Chimera had reached a climax of panic? Did she say something wrong to upset him? She was unsure and immediately went to bow to appease any displeasure her response may have caused towards him.
Chikako took her notebook back after he had dropped the pencil and read what he wrote, a bit relieved that it was only because he was embarrassed that she misunderstood their relationship. Though, her relief was only slightly more then her growing embarrassment from the overwhelming fact that came to her realization; she was completely wrong and guess their relationship and was wrong. 'Hopefully, they do not think of me of being too judgmental, or something of that sort', she thought to herself after that realization.
Then, Emi came and confused Chikako even more. "Sorry, he is still a bit nervous about telling people." So they were dating? Emi made Chikako feel a little less embarrassed about how she had gotten it screwed, but she did not! However, she could not say that it went all away, some embarrassment welded up in the back of her mind.
Both parties seemed to agreed to let her take a seat near them, and so she did, plopping herself on the side of Emi not wanting to get in between the 'couple' as they talked to each other. Chikako was gullible and naïve, so this misunderstanding would be taken to heart then a joke. She flipped the page on the notepad and began to response to the pair. "Thank you for letting me have a sit with you guys, I appreciate it. Sorry if I seem very jumpy!", the girl showed the pair before she went to write her next bit of information. She knew her anxiety was peaking with how many people where just around her.
Chikako gave Emi a small and silent smile, the smile made to tell her that she understood the complicated affair she was having with Chimera, not wanting to write it down in case it flushed Chimera again like it did before. 'I do not know why Chimera would not want everyone to know that he was dating someone like Emi, She is quite beautiful', she thought to herself. Though, with her mental state she had no room for retorts like this and let the thought die out.
"I am Chikako Saiafa, Child to the owner's of Saiafa Fashion Incorporated, I moved into the dorms yesterday as I have had to be away from sickness, learning these hero things at my house into I had gotten better; recently that is. I am going to be apart of 1-C, I am a bit deaf, but I'm not always so! Sometimes my hearing works with me, sometimes it doesn't. So, hopefully we can have a more normal conversation soon!", she said as she bowed towards the both of them after showing them the notepad. She took it back to continue writing the next bit. "My quirk is something I am still working on, I do not control it well, but I am a summoner. Um, Also I model and I love to draw and photography? I am a pretty good make-up artist?", she gave it back. Trying to start mindless banter, knowing it was a good way to start a friendship.

549 WC sugar mommy..s | Chimera looked up at Emi with a funny little scrunch of his muzzle, confused and amused at the same time at her weird series of questions. "I don't think there are dogs with ears as long as this, compared to their heads? And they are really soft. You're welcome to touch them and see for yourself if you doubt me." On cue he made the ear closest to her twitch, the tip flicking upwards. He could only move them a little on purpose. The rest of the time it was caused by them being touched or, more often, however he was feeling. "And I think I look more goat than either of them, but whatever suits your fancy."
He missed what Emi had typed and flashed to Chikako while he was writing his own words out, and only caught that she was using her phone when he was done and her first, far more sinister message had been hidden away. Hm, that was probably more ideal than using the notebook, at least with this lighting, but he didn't want to leave Chikako without what she felt most comfortable with.
Chikako went to sit besides Emi and positioned the notebook between the three of them, for which Chimera needed to roll onto his side rather than his stomach to properly see both the girls without craning his neck. So Chikako's family ran some sort of fashion line? That was cool, and made him wonder if between her and Emi he was sitting next to the richest kids in the school. Awkward for a child coming from a lower-middle-class family. She was 1-C, too, which meant she'd be in the same class as Darren and Alex. Usually that would worry him but...he had a feeling they wouldn't pick on her. Very much.
He picked up the pencil and started writing his own response back to her. At this angle, even with his body turned, he couldn't see if Emi was writing out more to her on her phone or not. "Well welcome to U.A! I have friends in 1-C who say the teacher is kind of strict. That's her in the back of the room, by the way. But I'm sure she's not as bad as they say. What do you summon for your Quirk? Is it a weapon, or some sort of companion?" His mind went to two of the members of 1-B, one who could call swords from her hands and another who could summon floating orbs of...mercury, or something like that, and use them as aids or helpers. They both came from their body in some way.
Maybe Chikako's Quirk did something similar?
"I think it's kind of obvious what my Quirk is," he drew a small goat head next to that sentence, then continued, "Emi can control salt crystals. I think." He paused, then aloud glanced up at Emi and asked, "Am I right? Salt crystals? Or...is it a particular kind of salt, like table salt or purified or...something?"
On screen something exploded in a great big fire-ey ball that lit the whole room. Chimera didn't even bat an eye. He'd seen this movie too many times.
Sometimes the classics were called "classics" for a reason. |

The girl seemed polite enough… Or was she just shy? Probably a combination of both, and equally fitting for somebody of her stature. At least, she’d thought that at first. Another rich kid was a mild surprise, but nothing outstanding to her. Never mind that her wealth was one of the first things people learned about Emi, she’d always had a suspicion that the wealthy students outnumbered the commoners. How many families could afford to send their children off the path of a traditional trade and to a highly experimental super soldier school? That was to say nothing of all the foreigners UA attracted… The girl didn’t look foreign to her, but considering that her parents’ business didn’t ring a bell, she wouldn’t be surprised if the girl had flown in just to attend UA. She’d have to ask – later. If she stopped the conversation to ask every question that popped into her head, they’d both think she was insane.
She cleared the screen of text and started tapping away.
So you’re a really artsy girl. I can appreciate that. I’m more of a videographer myself, but I’ve always been meaning to get into photography. Finding the right composition for a moving shot and an instant of action seems like a whole different ball game to me. You’ll have to show me how that works sometime
She lay her phone on the floor in front of them. If they leaned forward, they could see her words, and more as they appeared.
So what do you sum
She’d turned to look at Chimera’s words as she tapped, and quickly realised that he’d already asked. She mashed the backspace button as she looked on, finding his first mistake. He asked about her. About salt. The girl’s eyes lit up. Her other hand swung around to meet the phone screen. An explanation was going to be a two-finger job.
I think its possible but I’m still working on the results. I’ll try to keep it short but what I tell people is only kinda true. I tell people that I control sodium chloride but most common salt is only like, 99 percent sodium chloride. That’s table salt, kitchen salt and sea salt, for example. I guess it’s totally possible that controlling 99% of an object means you’re controlling the 1% too but idk really
So at the moment I can control all of those, but part of my quirk lets me get sodium chloride out of my own body to use. I’ve never tested it but what I make is either table salt or halite
She deleted a word.
rock salt. If I spray it it looks like table but if I make something bigger then it looks like rock but
She paused. There were a handful of topics that could get her motor mouth running, and all of them were things she held dear. Intelligence wasn’t something she lacked, but when it came to her quirk’s chemical, she may as well have been a walking encyclopaedia. That made it a little too easy to get carried away. Unfortunately, that brief pause was the only opportunity she gave for them to stop her.
A new paragraph. She’d completely forgotten about the movie. She’d also forgotten to keep cool; there was an almost comically large smile on her face as she lectured the pair on mineral compositions.
Table salt isn’t pure salt. It’s mostly rock salt, with a few additives in it to keep it all grainy, otherwise the whole thing would clump up and be pretty terrible for seasoning. I’m guessing my body holds on to some of that as well when I eat the salt, for some reason. Or maybe I should stop trying to make sense of quirks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For a moment, the more naïve amongst them could assume she was done. But I think I’m onto something with that train of thought, because why shouldn’t I be able to make other kinds of salt? Something like Himalayan salt, for example. It’s rock salt as well, but it comes out pink because of some impurities. That’s been my little side project. Trying to see how I can push the boundaries of my quirk.
She lifted her head at last, trying to gauge a reaction from the pair. Her fingers hovered over her phone, ready to add the next thought that popped into her head.

| if i'm a danger to myself Just think what I could do to you tagged |
Chikako Saiafa silently read the words that they were both writing and typing on their screen. Swapping between the two medias was quite the stressful activity, so she made a mental note, 'Before I respond, I should make a group chat on our phones using our U.A phone app'. It would solve the problem and hopefully make the whole communication on their part a bit easier, she knew how difficult communicating could be for the average Joe or Jane compared to most others after all.
Snapping back in reality, she intensively read what they were writing as she had went into a bit of a trance when she was thinking to herself. She did not want to be left behind in the conversation simply because she was thinking to herself; that would be incredibly rude and she did not want to upset them. After all, she did not need someone else taunting her or disliking her because of some accidental rudeness. She was not the upmost standard of normal, she was painfully aware of that, and she did not want to be the outlier kid like she has been for the past decade.
It seems like her introduction and mentioning of her quirk had evolved into the chitchat about each others own quirks. It was obvious that Chimera was a mutation type, he was a goat-looking person after all. Emi unlike either Chimera who was a mutant, nor Chikako who was a transform-type, was an emitter who had the power to emit salts from the sounds of it. Though, it seemed that she only herself knew the basics of how it worked, and that she was experimenting with it to see the full possibilities of the quirk. Chikako respected that, she herself was still experimenting with her quirk to understand how it works in order to have the ability that one day hopefully she would have better control of Tenbi.
Chikako took out her phone after Emi's little explanation and went at work at starting the group chat. It took her a minute or two, not being familiar that much with the chat room as is but this would be her first attempt at making a private group chat within that application. She typed a little thing to see if it worked. "Hello, testing? 1,2,3", the text rang out on the other's phone. She looked up from her phone at the two of them to see if it worked before she looked back down to go back to texting, she had not even noticed the huge explosion in the movie that was playing in the background.
"So, basically my quirk is a summoning like I said before, his name is Tenbi. I do not know the full way it works, I am still trying to understand it like you all. But he is basically....um your foreign s right? 5'11? that is what you guys use?", she looked at them with a confused look, she was not very well-versed in foreign culture after all or their systems that they used. Or was that perhaps only the Americans that used that system? "So he looks all scary and demonic. He has wings he can fly with and has a body that is hard as stone. As well, he has spikes all over his body that can destroy even the hardest of stones. Though, I do not have any control of him and he only appears when I am in danger. However, I can kind of manipulate what he protects by being close to it. But otherwise, I cannot really do much beyond that....I can kind of see what he sees as well? but not like really?", she shrugged after sending that text and sighed.
"Hopefully, this chat group helps us a little, I hope no one minds..", she sent a follow up text after to see if her idea was okay with the group. She looked up and gave them a soft smile, she was trying to be at least a little lighthearted after saying how scary her quirk was. She was scared, she was shaking a bit with her smile, but for the most part she tried to hide it. Most of her life she was bullied for how 'scary' and 'uncontrollable' her quirk was, the last thing she wanted was a repeat of her elementary and junior high school experience here. That is why she hide under the 'guise' of being sick for so long. For so long, the history of what her quirk had done had made her so disliked and bullied. The last thing she would want was for her dreaded past to resurface here and start all over again, especially after meeting Mia along her way over here. One of the most prominent figures in her 'accident' long ago.
