The Only Color I See, is Red.

She was a straight A student. She was among the top at UA. She didn't stand out, having such a lame boring quirk, but she excelled. A student no one noticed. Never in trouble, never caught sleeping, and never really failed or was perfect. She wasn't Rin, but maybe sitting next to that girl had rubbed off on her. Maybe Levi wanted to be perfect, or maybe having that perfect vanilla girl next to her, she understood she didn't. Life was full of little mistakes. From loving a boy with a cold ice heart, to taking a murderer to a hospital, Levi was full of surprises.

"My sister works here." Levi would say. "She sneaks in uninsured people all the time." Levi quickly spoke, speaking none other than of Kasey. But did she know Kasey's true role? Did she know the girl was more than a pharmacist? Did she know that Kasey not only worked with the CEO, but bought him out of his own company?

Did she know that it was that same CEO that hired that same murderer to work for him?

"It's not like the Ketsujo Corperation is known for being completely legal anyways." She would speak, as if the girl behind her didn't already know. Levi had no idea the mess Kasey was in the middle of. All Levi knew was the Corporation funded and supported the Pink Jackal, and she knew the illegal things Kasey did there. As far as Sato's own motives, she knew he probably arranged his own robberies. Why else would a man be so calm about his own businesses being broke into?

"She's good at smuggling people, so you should be fine with-" Levi turned around, as if a pair of eyes was burning a laser onto her back. With how quiet the girl was, Levi was already on edge, not to mention to two murders. Levi took the final turn, a dark alley, only to have it light up. Her gaze spun around to her, only to catch the moment she was pulling the staff out of her head. She saw it once before, and she wasn't gonna wait to see what she was using her weapon for.

Levi spun back forward, sprinting. "FINE, FUCK YOU THEN." She would say, running forward towards the hospital. It didn't matter if she called out for help, no one would answer. She knew that much. Even if someone came out, she was still an accomplice to murder, incapacitating that old man. No matter how it was cut, she did that much.

She would drop the bag off her arms and slung it forward. All she needed was to distance herself between her and the girl. A bag full of money and loose change, but most importantly, a blade. She reached in, trying to get the knife, only to have her hands touch the figure for a moment. A second passed, but in her mind, months went by. "He is a hero. He's my brother. My sister is a hero too. . . . So I will be one too."

She pulled out her knife, throwing the bag on her back again, point the blade towards the girl. All she needed was a dozen meters of distance. It was all she had, and all she needed. "YOU BETTER START RUNNING THEN." She yelled to the girl, trying to give her a window to leave. She had to play every card she had. "I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WHILE I AM HERE."

And so, it was the start of the end for the evil doer.

Start of the end. To every story, there is an ending. Some endings make it worth the read, while others leave you unsatisfied. Some start series, begging another story to be told, but a sequel never lives up to the first issue. Today was no different. The story of a young girl, a former student at the hero academy. One of the top students, who barely got by with her quirk, spent long hours studying. A drop out, not met face to face with a real threat. Could she do it? Could she be the hero she always wanted to be? With Seki dead, there was no longer a dream to be a story he told. No, she had a dream that she would be the story mothers told their children. The girl that stood against her odds and came out on top. She was going to defeat this woman. She was going to win. For family, Kasey, G, Miku. For her friends, Darren, Chimera. And importantly, for herself.

"I have to make it. I can't lose, not here. Not ever." She held the blade, eager to end this foolish shuffle. As the woman thrusted her spear at Levi's legs, Levi made a leap to the side. She didn't have the range she did with just a knife, but she could at least watch her body and guess where it was going to land. The edge of the tip would tear into her skin, which would be better than impaling her. Levi was on borrowed time, and she needed a plan fast.

Levi thought about swatting it away with the knife, but even if it was stronger, she needed to apply even more force to stop it. Could she? Was the knife strong enough? It was best not to try, not yet at least. Her eyes quickly darted to the side, looking for an answer. "Fine, take the money then!" Levi yelled, cutting one of the bag straps as she let it slide down her left arm. It was still unzipped, and the money inside of it still loose and moving around. She threw it at the woman, hoping that would be enough to send her away, if not at least distract her for a moment while Levi could think of something better.

"Oh, this whole time I was doing exactly what I planned.. . . FUCK."

It all suddenly clicked. To her, it was all a sick joke. The video that wasn't going to be posted. She was just going to unplug it when she got home, disconnect her account, and stop the upload. Instead, her final words would actually be posted. Was it bad luck? Or was it Levi getting her wish granted? This woman wasn't about the money, it was about revenge, about death. There was no one who would help her, and in this final stand, it was just her and a villain who wanted to kill her own kin.

"Lavande," she thought to herself. "If I had known I would have just fought you in the shop..." A foolish mistake, and one that was going to come with one hell of a cost. It wasn't long until the monologue spilled out of her mouth, and with it, the haphazard stabbing away at the girl. Levi was no match. She only had one plan. A plan, to make an exchange. Before she could even plan to disarm her, she was greeted with the end of the spear at her side. Levi winced at the sharp pain, but her left held onto the handle as her right gripped the blade.

She took a step forward, burrowing the spear deeper into her body, only to embrace her pain, and the wound. Levi would charge, her own blood covering the spear as she lunged with her knife towards the girl.

But would it land? Or was her plan in vain? Was it even worth trying to land a hit on this woman? Just to see her face?

It was already too late. She had acted and reacted just how her mind allowed. If she had known, maybe it would have been different. Maybe she could have saved two lives. Or maybe, she could have saved three. In her mind, she was already dead. She was at peace with it. But that didn't mean she didn't want to live. It only meant that in the event she no longer had tomorrow, she was would accept it. But she could never be ready.

Levi extended the blade to the woman's face, only to drop it. Her open palm reached out to her skin, only to lay firmly against her. Levi smiled as her own quirk pumped through her. Chemicals begun to seep from her skin, mixing with Meiko's. A reaction begun to effect them both, being born from Levi's skin. A feeling of bliss blanketed the both of them, Levi taking in the majority of the warmth. A feeling of supreme ecstasy. For Levi, it would be her highest high, and for the girl, it would be like taking a half dozen pills of that feel-good-drug.

"Born from bones and dust, I shall return." A smile grew upon her face, a girl who was filled with content and joy. "I pray that when she finds you, she will be merciful." And Levi would hold on for dear life, for it was all she had left. She looked down at the space between them, feeling the warmth from the wound in her side. The world was in color again. It was different than when she was with that boy.

"I wanted to one last rainbow, but the only color I see. . . is red." Her eyes would fade away, and she would fall forward towards the woman. Levi's breathing would slow, she was going to die. It wasn't going to be painless. But at least, in her final moments, she was able to share her joy with someone. At least, she saw color, one last time.
