"Hold it." Spindly lances unfurled, blocking the path of the girl. His blue eyes darkened, as though he was looking at trash. "Isn't there something you should say, after bumping into someone?" A crowd began to gather, schadenfreude in their eyes. "What's going on?" One student whispered to another. "The transfer student's gotten on Kasamori-senpai's bad side." Of the gathered students, some looked on in concern- After all, the transfer student was the protagonist, how could she not be well liked? On the other hand, some were just happy to see a show. Kasamori Subaru had a reputation, after all, and it wasn't for pulling his punches.
Character, of course, being the key word. A character, played by the rising actor, Nakamura Kou. Along with Kobayashi Yuri, he held the starring role in the new drama, Akuma to Lightning Bolt. Kou's role was Kasamori Subaru- The male lead, tall, dark, and handsome. A prototypical male tsundere, Subaru struggled to be honest about his feelings- Especially those towards the female lead, played by one Kobayashi Yuri.
But of course, this was only the first episode, and his feelings towards her simply didn't exist yet. Subaru may not be quite the person the rumors painted him to be, but he still upheld most of them. It was easier to win a fight that was never picked in the first place, after all- And with such a prominent quirk, delinquents would be itching for a fight if it weren't for that reputation- Or at least, so went the script.
Of course, Yuri would be the first person to look at him and see a person before seeing the quirk, etc, etc, and then Kou would reveal that he wasn't actually the person the rumours said through some extremely cliche scenes, and the rest is history. However, that would be a story for another time.

Yuri Kobayashi Lightning Strike - Pop Star
A new school meant a new life for the young Highschooler. Hopefully one far away from the bullies and anti Quirkers of her previous school... So far things were going pretty well, no one seemed to be paying attention to her at all beyond the obvious mutters of her being the new girl in school.
"Locker 203... should be right around- oof!" She walked right into Kasamori Subaru, or rather Nakamura Kou. His character was the strong, handsome male lead of this drama series, liked by all of the high school girls simply for his looks. He was 'cool' yet often seen as a bully. Yuri's character, Suzuki Hinata, had heard a lot of passing rumors about Kasamori and so when she bumped into him, Yuri could only stop and stare up at the taller boy in bewilderment.
She clung to her schoolbooks tightly as the boy then blocked her back, looking down at her like she was nothing but the mud under his shoes. Internally, Yuri wanted to stab out his eyes for looking down on her like that... but she had to play her part, and so she continued to look bewildered and smitten by Kou, even as he demanded an apology from her. She seemed t snap out of her reverie just then, as the girl would start t blush, looking down at her books and taking a step back.
"G-Gomen, Kasamori-senpai. I was a little lost in thought, I hope I didn't hurt you." She asked him kindly, giving him a quick once over as if making sure she hadn't actually injured him.
'His quirk is so... obvious... and girls still fawn over him? Maybe this school will be better than my old one' The young girl would think to herself(her dubbed thoughts would be placed into the episode later).

Kasamori Subaru nodded, satisfied at the response. The limbs retracted, allowing the transfer student to pass. Of course, he wouldn't say anything- Kasamori Subaru was the cool, silent type with a hint of bad boy- The kind who would demand an apology, and yet refuse to acknowledge it once given. The male lead carried on as though nothing had happened, and the crowd dispersed with sighs of disappointment. There would be no show today, it seemed.
One group of girls would glare at Yuri's back. ""What a bitch, her first day and she's already trying to get close to Subaru-senpai." The girls would whisper among themselves. These were the so called villains, whose sole purpose was to bully our poor defenseless (?) female lead such that the viewer feels such great joy when they inevitably recieve their comeuppance by the leads' hands.
As the two leads parted, Kou would look back with an inscrutable look in his eye- One which the cameras were sure to zoom in on as the scene ended.
It was not a long scene, but it did what it had to do- Set the scene, and introduce the two most important characters of the show- Without forgetting to give them bad impressions of each other, of course. As the crew worked to set the next scene, Kou lounged in the break room- Sitting in a personalized folding chair made to accommodate his quirk. "So, how're you enjoying the filming so far?" Kou asked his co-star. Obviously, today wasn't precisely the first day of filming- Each lead had had their solo segments to introduce them, prior to meeting with each other.
Personally, Kou was rather ambivalent. He may have flown under the radar so far, but he was still blacklisted, so... Just getting a role was enough of a challenge. Still, he couldn't help but call this show the most formulaic he'd ever scene. It was like the writers had a checklist of tropes to cross off as they went. Not that he'd say that out loud, of course. There was still some level of propriety expected of him.

Lightning Strike Yuri Kobayashi - Pop Star
Kasamori never acknowledged her apology and instead simply removed his quirk out of her way and them moved passed her. Suzuki looked back over her shoulder as Kasamori walked away, sticking her tongue out at his back and giving him quite the irritated look for his attitude. Here she was trying to be so nice, and yet the man acted like it was nothing. She huffed lightly but then clung to her books a bit tighter as she heard the gossip spouted by the girls walking by. It seemed they all idolized Kasamori-kun? How had she managed to irritate them so much by walking into him?
'They're no different here either hunh, but they admire him, even with such an obvious quirk? Why...' Her thoughts once more would be played out when the recording was done, however thinking of her lines as she moved gave her the right amount of time to pause before moving or speaking. She would look at the girls for just a brief moment, offering them the same kind of gentle and kind smile she had just offered to Kasamori. That single look would probably spell disaster for the girl's highschool duration...
"Aaaaaaaaaah I don't miss highschool at-all!" Yuri complained aloud as she stepped into the break room. It seemed almost comical that Kou would ask her how she was liking filming so far. She would grab herself a bottle of mineral water from the fridge and take a large chug before walking over and grabbing a donut off of the plate then moved to stand next to Kou.
"It's way different than filming a choreographed dance. The pace is slower but it's soooo much more to remember! It's so tough honestly... I ca n't imagine what the big action stars have to go through." She admitted openly, taking a bite out of her donut and munching away at it without much thought. Yuri was one of those people most girls hated because she could eat anything she wanted and never get fat thanks to her quirk.

"Not that I would know," Haruto mused behind a stone-faced mask. He had never been to highschool himself- At the time, he had been desperately working to prove to the Kandata's Thread agency, that he was a talent worth promoting. Especially since that would mean making an enemy of more than a few powerful forces in the industry. Despite his best efforts, a thread of emotion would escape his control, visible for little more than an instant- Even if it was seen, it could easily be mistaken for one's imagination.
Swiftly resuming his facade, Kou would return an easy grin. "That bad, huh?" He would ask, keeping the topic of the conversation on his co-star, rather than himself. He would prefer not to allow the topic to be turned to his own high school experiences- Nonexistent as they were. He already knew that his life hadn't exactly been kind- And he had no desire for the sympathy of someone he had only just met today.
"Ah, right. This is your first time filming a drama, isn't it?" Honestly, the girl had kept up so well, Kou had unconsciously treated her as a veteran. Well, any glimmer of hope was one he would take that this drama might not turn out as terribly as it could. "You did well- If I hadn't already known, I never would have guessed." It was always a stroke of luck for an agency to find someone with both looks and talent- Yuri's agent had struck the equivalent of gold.
"You'd think that, but it actually gets easier as you go- Not only does experience and practice help, but the higher your budget, the more failed takes you can afford. And of course, at the very top, you get the names so big that your face will sell even if you don't bother to act," Kou remarked, referring to how some top actors got away with having their lines fed to them by earpiece rather than by memorizing the script. "But then, if Sano were to have me work as an idol like you, I'm sure we'd find our positions reversed!" Kou let out a chuckle. It was a funny thought- Him, as an idol. Well, if nothing else, he had the face for it.
