We are the Ultimate And we are the end With the class now separated by more than just a choice of paths, the urgency of the situation was growing. Even though the island was now split, things were still relatively calm. The island was still floating and the area the first group was it wasn't so bad off. However, there would be a little reprieve for this small section of class 1-C as things continued on. Around them, the cracking ground had stopped, but the rumbling had not. Whatever caused the island to split was still going on and there wasn't much they could do about it but hold on. However, something even more strange was going on as they tried to make sense of what was happening.
After some time, the rumbling of the ground stopped. The feeling didn't just disappear all at once though It sort of just shrunk from the outer edge of their platform of the earth to a center point. Those on the ground could feel the vibration lessen on the edge of the piece of ground they were on before they did that point. And what was at that point? It was the train. The moving ground stopped underneath the train before stopping completely. It was an obvious sign to get as far away from that train as possible as something didn't seem right with it. And, of course, it didn't take long for that problem to show itself. The entire train car started to lift off, away from the ground. It was being pulled into the air away from the group toward the section of land they have split away from.
It wasn't sudden or quick in movement. Like the floating ground, it sort of just elevated upward and then started moving at a slow and steady pace. A few seats fell out of the metal tub as if moved, dropping the cushioned chairs to the ground around the students that remained around the class' starting point. And amidst all the panic, something else strange could be heard. They were voices. It wasn't just the voices of their classmates. These were clearly very different. They were too soft to tell what gender the voices belong to, but it was clear enough to not recognize the person talking. In fact, even their words weren't completely clear. But the one important thing to note was that there was someone else on the island.
It was possible that someone else was picked up by the moving earth like the class was. Other people stranded on the floating mass and stuck up there. However, it was also completely possible that they were the cause of the shift in the dirt. SOmething had to happen that caused the ground to raise up into the air and it was possible that these people were the cause of it. Whatever it was, those present had to make a decision. Without any real information, they had to assess the situation and proceed in the best effort of keeping themselves and their classmates safe. It was time to put that hero training to work.

Still trying to make some mental peace with the situation, Yumi was in a bit of a state. She'd been so focused on getting some of the more vulnerable passangers out of the train car that she hadn't really had much time to really take in the world around them, though as she did, she immediately 'charged up' again, not about to be caught off guard in this odd situation, he body coated in a shocking blue energy between the lines of the hero suit she'd been wearing under her uniform. Probably the 20th uniform this year she'd burned through for one reason or another.
With everyone splitting off she wasn't quite sure how to feel about Alex leaving her in charge. Was that a sign of respect, or was he setting her up to fail. With the vibe Alex could give up, her brain told her it was the latter. He seemed to be the kind who'd put someone in a position they couldn't handle just to prove how much better he handled the same role. Her heart and feeling son the other hand spoke better. She doubted he thought she could actually handle this, and was maybe just appointing her leader of the group that was staying for conveniance, as she was class president...Okay. No time for self doubts. Whatever Alex's reason this was the position they all were in and someone needed to take charge.
Before the island split apart, Yumi used the flight aspect she'd been training into her power and flew over to the top of the crashed train car, shouting out to catch the attention of everyone, though calm enough so as to not seem tyranical, or frightened herself. "Okay everyone! I assume everyone's got a second to check their phones?" Making sure no one could get a signal out, Yumi sighed slightly in defeat. "Thought not...right, I dunno what's going on, but we're either out of cell range or something is blocking us. Given this whole situation, not to alarm anyone, but I'm gonna say it's the latter. SO! We all need to start thinking of ways to make sure we stay safe up here. There's a missing train car afterall, so someone's gonna find us eve-"
Her words were cut short by the sudden rumbling in the ground, and the red head's eyes looked on in mild horror as the earth started to crack between her group and the party that had left to search. On instinct she rushed over to the edge of the crack with her flight, but with how rapid the gap was forming, if she tried to cross it, she'd likely just start to drop to the city below. It'd be a safe landing, her flight would allow that, but it meant she wouldn't have a way back up to help everyone...sure she could get a message to someone who could better help them but she needed to think hard if leaving everyone here on their own was the right choice.
...Alex may have been an ass, but he was right. As much as she felt she didn't have the capacity to control it she did have the strongest quirk in the class. At this moment at least. (no offense to anyone, literally just going off app stats)
Taking a slow breath, she turned to the rest of them, about to open her mouth just as the train car took off, watching it float across the divide. She backed away from it and gestured for everyone to stay back themselves till she was sure it was going away. "Right...okay. Obviously this isn't natural." She glanced back to the others before turning to more properly address them, she lifted her head to the soft sound of voices somewhere on their half of the island and brought it back down. "Right, these train tracks are the biggest clearing we've got and the best focus we have if we need to find eachother again. I say we spread out in groups of..." She lifted her head to do a quick head count. "3 groups of 2. Everyone pair up, and if anything happens, back to the train tracks and try your best to call for back up. Sound like a game plan?"

phantom grip It was relaxing for a moment, that it was. And it was good for all of them to get a read on the situation, to understand exactly where they were pushed off to. Mira still holds on to her theory that they were sent up in the air, considering the clouds were unnaturally close to the surface they stood on. "JSDF? Why would they do this?" The girl furrowed her gaze towards Robin as he came up with his own analysis. Really, why would the JSDF place them in such danger?
Eventually, her attention is turned back to the class president as the other group had finally split up, observing the redhead fly and land atop the train. Whilst somewhat panicky and anxious at the start, the purple-haired teen had been able to use this extra time to rest and relax. Upon the suggestion of checking their phones was given, she'd do it just as prompted, rummaging one of her pockets in search of her phone, before swiftly withdrawing it.
She presses on the unlocking button and checks her top left, noticing exactly what was expected by Yumi herself. "Yup... No signal." She announces, sighing, only as more hopelessness grows within her.
Then, to make things worse, more rumbling commenced, and this time the sight was even more frightening. The ground cracked, rapidly forming a large gap in-between one group and the other. "Yumi!" Mira shouted to her friend, noticing she started flying in the direction of the edge leading to the other platform. "What is she..." Of course, her classmate realized the same, that she truly couldn't make the flight or else she'd find herself falling down. "Stand your ground, guys! Look down for any more cracks!" The rumbling would only continue for a few more moments, yet eventually it started to solely focus on a single point, on the train, before it completely dissipated.
"...!! The train!" That's when the vehicle itself started to lift up, now on another levitating platform. "I-Is it just gonna keep on splitting up piece-by-piece?" She questioned aloud, moments before her attention is turned back to Yumi as she finally approached the group. Just as they did catch the latter's attention, the voices would also cause Mira to look around, still with a widened gaze, fearing that anything could happen at this point, at any moment, when they're less expectant. "But... But what if it keeps on splitting us up? At this rate, we'll each end up on a different platform and then we won't be able to work together." The girl opined, still holding on to her scraped elbow in visible concern.

Post by Miyu Sasaki on Dec 26, 2018 19:38:59 GMT -4
At her huge size, Miyu had a pretty good view of most of the island. As the island began rumbling again and splitting apart, Miyu tried to usher her classmates who'd stuck with her group behind her to keep them away from the forming breaks in the floating ground. "Keep away from the gaps!" She yelled. "You'll fall!"
Eventually the rumbling calmed down, though it didn't take long enough that Miyu's transformation would cancel. She kneeled down until she was almost level with the rest of the group’s height, feeling mighty out of place when transformed. If she stayed standing up, she’d steal the attention away from Yumi, and that’d be no good.
She stayed quiet for a while, as she listened to Yumi and Mira speak, not wanting to talk over them. When they finished, she finally spoke up. “Uh, Yumi, I think we should partner up! Because, uh, my transformation might run out soon and I’ll be tired when that happens, so I wanna be with someone who I won’t hold back when it does.” She stuttered out awkwardly.
When she heard Mira’s concerns though, she gave her a warm smile. “Don’t worry!” Miyu said. “If the island starts breaking up again, I’ll be able to grab everyone so we can be on the same bit!”
