"Just because I understand it, doesn't mean I speak it well." She would say to her friend, his arm dropping as they were heading to a dog cafe. Well, a raccoon dog of sorts. "Plus, you look cute when you say stupid things. Or get your head stuck in a net." She'd let out a little giggle as she pulled on his arm, his hand stuck in his pocket. She could have tried to see if he would toss off his shirt, but perhaps that would be for another day.
Levi was careful to who she let in. She was used to pain, but only so few people had seen how she was really like. She didn't believe in random occurrences. Everyone had a pattern. Everyone betrayed each other eventually. She just liked to hold onto those people who could apologize for it. She heard rumors about Semper Fi, and the few people that had a secret bloodlust, one of them being her own sister. She had to guess Chimera was no different. Someone who could be turned into a beast with just a drop of blood. She had saw it before, even with a professional.
It wasn't long until the pair was met with a normal looking tea house, only to have a glass window displaying many toys, paintings and a few shirts displaying the strange animal. "Actually, doesn't America have like, cat cafes? Or some animal? . .. was it a dog?" She would ask, letting go of him for the moment. She was sure he wanted to look at all of the little red creatures, before going inside to actually, well play with them.
"Actually," She would change from her happy smile to a serious, and deadly look. "There's a lot you don't know about me." The girl would pause for a moment, wondering what kind of look he would give her. There was no shame in playing around with him, right? Everyone was so serious, well, mostly Chimera. "I actually like the color pink, but usually I buy yellow by mistake." A smile would return.
She was joking, right?
