Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
It was late in the afternnon - almost night - and Ryuusei Igarashi walked the alleys of Tokyo by himself, preparing himself for a long walk. He had went to visit his sister at the hospital and was now heading home to Musutafu. The streets were rather empty due to the amount of rain that was falling. It was perhaps the most rainy day of the year so far. Unfortunately, Ryuusei had forgotten his umbrella. He also wasn't wearing any kind of coat. With only a regular black hoodie, jeans and black boots, he walked at a fast pace while being soaking wet. Despite the bad weather, it was being a rather normal day. Ryuusei was already looking forward to the hot shower he would take once he got home. But that day was about to suffer a big change. Ryuusei was about to turn the corner of the street when, looking ahead, he saw him. Standing, leaning against the wall of a building, there he was: Nick Cross. Ryuusei was quick to stop himself from completely turning the corner of the street, jumping back and hiding with his back against the wall. Fuck, did he see me? Ryuusei asked himself. He knew that he had been quick to notice Nick - who was just a few steps away from the corner - and equally quick to hide, but the former classmate turned villain could've have very well seen Ryuu with the corner of his eyes. Fuck, fuck, what do I do? The one who had hurt Rin in that... way. The one who had sent Elise to the hospital. Right there. Ryuu hadn't seen him since he left Yuuei. But it surely was him there. What the heel was he doing out there in the open? Was he waiting for someone? Was he going somewhere? Calm down.Ryuusei slowed his breathing. Ice running on his veins, he was rather calm. With a clear head, he began thinking. I can't fight him in the middle of the street... No, I can't fight him at all, I don't know how strong he has gotten... But I can follow him. If I find out where he is hiding or with whom he is working... Yes, that would be a big thing. Ryuusei touched his chest with his right hand, "locking" himself in case he needed to activate his Quirk. Then he got reminded of something that could potentially become a big problem for God's Alibi to work properly... This rain isn't going to stop... He placed his left hand on the handle of his knife. He didn't draw it out, but that way such action would be much quicker. It was then that he pulled out his cellphone. I can't call the cops. If I talk there's a chance that he hears me. Besides, they would still take their time to call for a Hero's back-up since they can't take a Quirker on their own. I need someone to come as soon as possible. He began typing on his cellphone. Typing on a chat he never used. I can't talk about Nick or everyone in chat will lose their mind and run here. I just need to catch some teacher's attention.~~ Igarashi, Ryuusei logged in. Igarashi, Ryuusei: I need the assistance of a teacher as quick as possible. It's an urgent matter of extreme importance. Please follow my GPS coordinates. Igarashi, Ryuusei shared his GPS coordinates
~~ He left the phone turned on for the GPS to remain active but put the phone on silent before placing it back on his jeans' pocket. He then peeked from the corner. Nick Cross was moving, starting to walk away. Ryuusei would follow him. ---------- INFORMATION: Quirk: Rank D. Lung Capacity: Rank E. Kuroneko (Martial Arts): Rank E. Maneki Neko (Agility): Rank E. I can’t believe the buses in Tokyo are actually slower than the ones in London. You’d think they were driving backwards.
So were the thoughts of the nonchalant Nick Cross as he leaned against a nondescript building in this equally nondescript part of town, waiting what felt like an eternity for a bus he was starting to believe did not exist. Why was he out there, in the freezing wind and the pouring rain? It was quite simple. This part of town, while not particularly impressive to look at, was noteworthy for one reason: a very popular Japanese television and streaming station could be found there.
And more and more as of late, Nick had been having thoughts. Thoughts that had only been intensified by the disaster that was the Semper Fi military camp. His fists clenched. If only he had been there. He had suspected all along something had been off about the camp, but to have missed out on witnessing the atrocities of the Quirkless bastards firsthand - it stung. A lot.
No matter. I’ll make up for it all soon. For you, Mother…
His eyes roamed the street before him from beneath his hood, ever alert. He had foregone his more elaborate disguises in favour of simply wearing a baggy hoodie and scarf, for he had not planned to be out long.
This was something he immediately regretted when he caught sight of a familiar face coming around the corner, a face he had hoped he would never have to see again - Ryuusei Igarashi. The brief glimpse of him alone was enough to make Nick’s blood boil hotter than molten lava. Oh yes, he remembered their little confrontation outside the school gym, and even more he remembered how fond of Ryuusei Rin was.
Did he see me? Of course he did. Why else did he suddenly back off like that…
Normally, Nick would be furious with himself for being seen, but not in this instance. No. Ryuusei was quite high up on his list of people whose faces he wanted to punch. And if Nick had learned anything from dealing with that slime whore back on Halloween, beating the ever-loving hell out of people he despised felt bloody wonderful. He peeled away from the wall and walked as casually as possible towards a nearby alleyway. A deadend: perfect for dealing with Ryuusei unseen.
Of course, Nick did not want to admit it, but fighting the slime girl had left scars on him too; he felt a flash of pain as the growth on his back twitched the way it usually did when he knew a fight was approaching. Christ. Would he even be able to maintain his armour for as long as he usually did?
It doesn’t matter. Ryuusei’s not a fighter; his Quirk is the Quirk of a coward. It won’t take long to deal with him...

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Ryuusei began following Nick from a distance. He wasn't sure that the enemy had seen him or not but, on the chance that he hadn't, Ryuu didn't want to make such task easy. Covering from spot to spot carefully, he followed the enemy as he walked through the streets of Tokyo. Activating his Qurik so early wasn't an ideal situation - much less with the amount of rain that was falling from the skies. On the other hand, the sound of the water clashing against the pavement was the ideal cover to the sound of Ryuu's footsteps and the otherwise out of place sound caused by his movements. Where are you going, Nick Cross...You should kill him. That cursed voice... Not now, that wasn't the time. I'm going to follow him to his hideout, wait for the Pros and let them takeover. It was a good plan, a solid one. A plan that a good Yuuei Highschool student would make. One that proved that, indeed, Ryuusei was trying his damn best at living with his inner shadow, at trying to be... a hero. But then again: things aren't always so easy. You should look closely then, Ryuu-kun.The teenager from Class 1-A peeked out from behind the lamp-post. The light coming from it was a sign that the moon was now out, replacing the sun. Nick was getting out of the main street, heading for an alleyway. Knowing the area quite well from the amount of times he had gone through there after visiting Yaso at the hospital, Ryuu understoodd immediately what the voice inside his head meant. He saw me. He knows that I'm following him.Nick was heading into a long alleyway, one deep enough that people walking through the main street aren't able to see what's going on in there - much less during the night. Besides, with the absurd quantity of rain, hearing anything that happened in the alleyway would also be difficult. Knwoing the place, it was unlikely to be where Nick was hidding since it had doors - the walls of the alleyway were the sides of multiple buildings. At the end of the alleyway there was a fence about 5 meters tall that separated the alleyway from another main street. It was an old and fragile fence and, because of that, easily breakable. Even so it made that the only clear way out of the alleyway was the way that Nick was entering. He's baiting me, Ryuu thought in frustration. It was an ideal spot for Nick to have Ryuusei in. With Nick's Quirk it would be easy to either jump or break the fence or even pushing Ryuu away in order to get out of there from where he entered. Ryuu, on the other end, only had one option and if during the confrontation he found himself with his back against the fence then he would be pretty much trapped. It was low risk and high reward on Nick's part: if surprised he could get away when he wanted, if not he could beat the living hell out of Ryuu without anyone knowing. The bastard really hasn't changed.
With Nick having already entered the alleyway, Ryuusei checked his phone again. It was still transmitting the GPS coordinations. Good. He placed the phone on his hoodie's pocket and, rather relaxed, began walking towards the alleyway. He must think that I want to fight him so bad that because of that I didn't call for back-up. Let's have him believe that. I just need to hold him there long enough for a teacher to arrive. He is the one that is trapped, not me.
Inside the alleyway, Nick had his back turned against Ryuusei. Ryuu stopped his feet at around a ten meter distance from the former classmate. Then, in his freezing voice, he spoke. You look like shit, Nick. The streets of Tokyo must not be treating you very well.Under the intense rain, the two boys met once more. Notes: Confrontation flashbacks!!Words: 668.Tags: Nick Cross

Perhaps it was too obvious of Nick to lead Ryuusei right into a blatant deadend. It was only something he pondered as he was halfway down it.
Oh, well. It’s not like this is going to take long.
If Ryuusei were a more fight-oriented person then maybe he would have tried to lead him somewhere where he could have gotten the element of surprise, but he was not, so it did not matter to Nick much. He even gave a small yawn.
Then Ryuusei spoke, confirming he had recognised Nick with a dig at his current state of being. Nick tensed for just a second, but common sense kicked in fast. Since Goro had returned to his life, Nick had learned a thing or two about being baited. Namely, he was very susceptible to it, but at least he was getting better at recognising when someone was trying to bait a response out of him.
He had also picked up on how to bait people, and that was what he saw fit to do. As soon as Nick transformed he knew Ryuusei would activate his damn invisibility Quirk and make beating the shit out of him a much more tedious affair than it had to be, so getting Ryuusei to close in on him would be easiest.
He did his best to seem nonchalant, but kept a wary eye on his foe just in case he made any sudden movements. He opened his mouth and spoke as airily as he could;
“Do they teach one-liners at that school now? Because if so you really need to work on yours. But let’s not bother with such frivolities: this about her, isn’t it?” He twirled a strand of hair around one finger in the most casual manner he could manage. “My favourite little plaything. What, jealous I got to her first?” He chuckled. “I would be, too, in your shoes. She was so wonderful. It wasn’t just the one time either, you know. Again and again - and you know the best part? I got her there. She liked it. Does that make you sad? You’ll never make her feel like that.”

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Hearing Ryuusei's voice, Nick Cross turned around. The rain kept falling hard, Ryuu's long-ish hair getting heavier and heavier as it dripped constantly. The wind was also starting to pick, getting stronger and stronger by the minute. If one was to look at the clouds it would be easy to notice that thunder and lightning were sure to come and join the night. It it wasn't for the lamps at the alleyway, the teenagers would have difficulty in seeing each other in the middle of such storm. Yes - a storm. A storm was surely forming, brewing. A storm that, perhaps, had been gathering energy for this specific day of the year. Susanoo, the god of storms, had moved away from the sea and, having been banished from heaven, was throwing away his anger upon earth. But this earth had it's very own deities in a humanized form: and some of them were demons, demons much more evil and sadistic than the ones occupying hell. Nick Cross was one of such beings. As he heard the embodiement of pain, fear and lust speak, Ryuusei had both of his hands on his hoodie pocket. With one of them, he was touching his phone and deactivating the GPS - he couldn't risk having Nick discover the plan in any way or form. It was when he finished this task that Nick ended his speech. Ryuusei Igarashi was looking at the ground. In the middle o the falling rain, only silence. He knew. He knew what had happened to Rin as soon as she appeared at his doorstep - on that day it was also raining, ironically. Rin never had the need to tell him nor did Ryuusei want that to happen, but he just knew. After what happened with Elise, Ryuusei also knew that the one to do such thing had been Nick. None of this was new. But those words, the way he said them... Blood started dropping on the floor, the red liquid mixing in with the water on the floor. Ryuusei had been bitting his own lip without realizing it, bitting it to a point where it actually drew blood. You want to do it, the voice echoed. He took his hands from the pocket. With the right one he cleared the blood from his lip; with the left he grabbed a hold of the army knife that was given to him by Tanaka Greyson. There was a lot going through the boy's mind. How Nick had enjoyed such act so much. How he did not regret it. How he did it multiple times. How he implied that Rin liked it. How he implied that Ryuu was envious of him. How he implied that Ryuu had wanted to get involved with Rin in that way. Nick couldn't get away with it. He couldn't. He shouldn't even be allowed to breathe - torture and death were what he deserved. Yes, let it consume you - she said, her demonic yet beautiful hands caressing Ryuusei in the face - You've did it more than one, two or three times. You can do it again.Ryuusei spat the remaining of the blood in his mouth to the floor, watching the blood and the rain forming into one. And this time you'll actually enjoy it. You'll be happy to kill him.But he couldn't. He promised himself that he would change. That he would try. In order to never leave Yoruhi's side and be with him forever. In order to continuing to have fights with Darren and let the boy drag him to those damned school clubs. In order to see Jasmine making Rinkusu the happiest girl in the world. In order to... "...This is the furthest I've ever gotten... but if I keep working hard, maybe one day we can bring one of these stars home..."Yes. Ryuusei also made a promise to her. Not even Nick could make him break that. Nick... - he spoke in an even more deattached tone as he moved his eyes from the ground to the former Yuuei student. Because of that promise the next action wouldn't come out of anger, out of desire to kill or out of pure rage. The next action was the result of a clear mind that knew how to handle the worst of things. It was the action of something who had a plan and was sticking to it, no matter the costs. If Nick wanted an opponent who acted out of emotion and was just out for blood then that was the character that Ryuusei would plays as. Everything to keep him there just a little bit longer. Everything to catch him and do right by Rinkusu. I'm going to kill you.A thunder made itself heard from a distance. Ryuusei began spriting towards Nick as fast as he could. Like always, he was running on the lowest stance possible. Once close enough, he would protect his face with his right arm while using the knife on his left hand to try and stab Nick's right upper leg. He would only do the stabbing motion once both of his feet were well set on the ground, something to make sure that Ryuu maximized his chance of avoiding or defending a counter by moving. This fight wasn't a matter of revenge. It was a matter of patience - and Ryuu was going to make sure that Nick wouldn't get out of that alleyway. Even if for that he had to fake intent to kill. Nick had not known Ryuusei terribly well before his departure from Yuuei; their little confrontation outside the gym had been the most they had ever spoken. The other boy had never particularly seemed to emote much from the scarce few things Nick remembered about him, so it gave Nick great satisfaction to see him bite his lip so hard he drew blood. It meant Nick had gotten to him. That in itself was a victory.
Despite the gleeful smirk plastered across his face, Nick remained alert enough to catch sight of Ryuusei’s hands, both in his pocket.
He probably has his phone. Of course. Could he have called for backup as he was following me?
Damn it, that was a possibility Nick realised he really should have considered already. There could be other students on the way, or teachers, or both. Students he was confident he could fight but teachers less so.
Shit. Son of a bitch.
Suddenly this deadend alleyway looked a lot less appealing. At least he was certain he could jump the fence in his transformed state. A few punches would deal with Ryuusei quickly enough, and then he could get the hell out of there, as humiliatingly cowardly as it was.
His arrogance aside, he was quite surprised when Ryuusei’s other hand emerged brandishing a combat knife of all things.
“I’m going to kill you.”
A threat that definitely sounded meant to Nick’s ears, but if he were intimidated by it at all he hid it well by tilting his head back with a loud scoff. “Now that’s not terribly heroic of you, is it?”
Ryuusei came straight for him, exactly as he had wanted. (Mostly) unfazed by the knife glinting in his foe’s hand, Nick stood his ground. “Don’t make me laugh. We both know you don’t have the balls!”
The growth on his back unleashed the black fluid within. Nick felt another jolt of pain as it did so and formed his armour but tried his best to ignore this, too eager to punch Ryuusei to care. He sprang to the side to dodge the incoming knife with mere seconds to spare. He attempted to retaliate by kicking Ryuusei’s legs from under him, and whether successful or not followed it up with a series of rapid-fire punches aimed at the other teen’s kidneys. He would show this piece of shit exactly what would have happened had they fought that time outside the gym.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
If Nick wasn’t a Quirker, Ryuusei’s knife would most likely have met the villain’s skin and meat. It would also have been a deep stab wound, which would make the amount of blood lost increase in a rapid manner. The main objective would be, however, to limit Nick’s movement – not being able to use one leg at 100% capacity increased the odds of him not being able to escape the alleyway. But, of course, things weren’t that simple: Nick had a Quirk… and a very powerful one. Before Ryuu could fully extend his arm, Nick activated his bio-armor, which granted him enough speed to dodge to the side and avoid the blade. Something that Ryuusei anticipated and reason why he kept his own body stance as low as possible and only shot for the attack when both his feet where well ground – that way, he could make full use of his agility. Nick was a powerhouse, so the only way Ryuu had to win was being one step-ahead… something that he always tried to work into himself in every fight or spar. As soon as his left arm failed the leg of Nick, Ryuu lowered his free right arm and positioned the palm of his hand on the floor. When the enemy’s kick touched his legs, Ryuusei took the momentum gained by it to balance himself forward. That and the position of his right arm combined allowed him to do what could be best described as a modified front somersault. When he landed, he was once again with some meters of distance between himself and Nick. He took the hit on the legs to be able to avoid the punches. Standing straight, he looked at the boy now covered in black armor. Fuck… he though as he felt the pain on his legs. It would be way worst if it wasn’t for the training Ryuu had on the last few months, but it still hurt. Getting hit by a clean punch from Nick in that state was surely something to avoid. It won’t be that easy.He looked directly at Nick, almost na invitation to make him be the one to attack this time. His adversary probably wasn’t aware, but for Ryuu using God’s Alibi in that weather would be useless – he would have to hold Nick off without using his own Quirk. As he waited for some kind of response, Ryuusei didn’t even noticed that his phone had dropped when he evaded Nick’s series of punches… Notes: Getting intense! Nick swore under his breath; Ryuusei was a slippery son of a bitch. He supposed it was to be expected from someone with such a cowardly Quirk. Never one to be so easily deterred, Nick charged at the other teen with every ounce of his moped-like speed.
As he drew close he swung an arm upwards towards Ryuusei, his tendrils bursting forth from his palms in the process. Ryuusei had never seen Nick use this technique, so his aim was to catch the other teen off-guard and slap him across the face with the tendril.
Regardless of whether he succeeded in this or not, Nick had seen it from the corner of his eye; Ryuusei’s phone lying on the ground. He sprang back from Ryuusei and landed beside the phone, sweeping it up in one quick motion.
As he expected, he found Rin among Ryuusei’s contacts, a fact that further enraged his possessive side and then some. It was time to send her an important message, just in case she had not understood from what he did to that slime friend of hers. Opening up the text feature, he rapidly typed…
Surrender to me, or I’ll keep hurting your friends. Signed, your <3
He hit ‘send’ and let the phone drop from his hand.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Nick Cross was quick to accept Ryuusei's unspoken proposal for him to be the one attacking this time around... Almost too quick. That transformation Quirk sure was a powerful thing. Nick didn't seem to be the strongest person walking across the streets of Tokyo - he was shorter than Ryuusei and, despite looking heavier, did not seem capable of packing that much power. However, that biological armor of his was a complete game-changer. Ryuu was sure that, developed to a certain level, such Quirk would allow Nick to compete - perhaps even defeat - someone like Jasmine or Darren. It was due to this basic understanding of the opponent's Quirk - something that came from them having shared the same classroom - that the Vice-President of Class 1A wanted to avoid being hit in critical spots. The previous kick on his legs wasn't even meant to causa harm: it was jsut a sweep and, even then, Ryuusei could still feel his calves starting to swell. This was enough proof for the boy to understand that, even if his body was well-prepared and tough, Nick could cause some serious damage to him with a clean strike. He ran quickly, almost like a motorized vehicle trying to reach top speed. Some Quirkers really were blessed, while others just had to work with what they received. Here he comes, Ryuu thought as he assumed a defensive stance, ready to move himself as soon as he was able to react to Nick's on-coming hit. It was an uppercut. God wasn't that fast as hell. Reacting to the upwards movement of Nick's arm, Ryuu leaned his body and head backwards, trying to have to swinging punch hit air and not chin. Due to his agility, Ryuusei would be able to dodge it by some centimeters, but it would leave a sour taste in his mouth - it was mostly luck. Nick's Quirk made him too quick and the chances of Ryuusei not being able to react like he did just now were way too high. Whatever - at least he was able to react to this one... so he thought. When it seemed like he was destined to miss Ryuusei's skull, Nick opened his palm and released something from it. What the-The tendril extended and, reaching the point of what felt like maximum tension, hit Ryuusei's face like a strong whip. The pain in itself wasn't out of this world, but it still hurt - and left a mark across the side of Ryuusei's face. The impact made his already leaning backwards body lose balance, which forced Ryuusei to make a backwards flip in order to not fall and regain some distance. However, after landing cleanly on both feet and standing forward once more, Nick didn't continue to attack like Ryuu feared. Instead the other teen had moved backwards and... My phone?!, he touched his pocket, noticing the disappearance of the device that was now on Nick's hand. He was texting something. Whatever it was, it was short since after some seconds Nick just dropped the phone on the ground, breaking it in the process. Looking at him, Ryuu's mind started racing. Has he figured out that I called for back-up? If so, why isn't he getting away? Is he that cocky? Looking at their surroundings and current position, Ryuusei was also quick to notice the change of positions. Besides, now I'm the one with his back against the fence and he his the one with a clear path to the street. He could've ran away as I was resetting my position, yet he chose to stay here...You'll have to pay for that, Ryuu cold voice was heard, making reference to the broken phone. Just small talk while he kept on thinking. He must have a time limit just like any other transformation Quirk. If I force him to stay here he'll have to go back to his original form sooner or later. If I'm able to force this then I'm sure I'll be able to easily hold him off here until the pro's arrive. That means... It's my time again, Nick.I have to attack! Keep on attacking! Pressure him so much that he has to worry about me! So much that he won't able to escape while transformed! I can do this. I can stop him right here and today. I just have to make him stay here as long as possible!Knife still in hand, he ran as fast as he could in the direction of Nick. It did not matter if Ryuusei got punched or not - being afraid of that was a mistake. Ryuusei needed to pressure Nick, pressure him as much as he could. That was his only chance of overcoming the advantage that Nick had on that alleyway and on the rules of that game. When he got close enough, Ryuu would try to make use of his martial arts knowledge to feint a low-kick, something meant to hidden the stabbing movement aimed at Nick's abdominal area. His base leg and free right arm loosen, both ready for any movement needed to try defend or counter anything coming back at Ryuu's direction. It did not matter that the armor was too resistant or strong for Ryuu to cause any damage - he just had to keep the enemy occupied. A constant barrage of attacks and feints: that was the path the underdog had to take in order to reach victory. Notes: A dangerous yet necessary plan: non-stop attacking!Words: 914.Tags: Nick Cross

Part one of the message had been sent. Nick could only hope the target of his desire would read it soon. He did not expect her to come running to his immediate location, nor did it matter to him all that much; there was a second part to his message still to be sent.
A part that involved Ryuusei. Namely, it involved dealing enough damage to Ryuusei to make it abundantly clear to his dearest Rin that he was in no way exaggerating. At all. She would be his or her precious friends would never know peace.
Ryuusei came at him. Nick charged to meet him, only to fall for the feint like a blithering idiot which left his body wide open as he attempted to move away from the kick that did not come. The blade did not quite find Nick’s abdomen, but managed to cut a wicked path across his side.
At once Nick’s side felt as though it was on fire. He clenched his teeth as hard as he could to swallow a cry of anguish. While his armour offered him some protection, the blade had still managed to cut through to the flesh below and it fucking hurt.
Nick’s breaths came heavy and full of fury. He glared at Ryuusei from beneath his mask with something that went far beyond simple hatred. Why the hell was the coward not using his Quirk? Did he believe Nick to be beneath him and not worth it?
Pure white hot rage exploded through every millimetre of Nick’s being. Biting back the pain, he poured every ounce of his enhanced speed and strength into his body as he lunged at the other teen, letting out a furious howl that did not sound the slightest bit human. Without wasting a second he unleashed a volley of punches, kicks and swipes as though attempting to gouge the other. He popped his tendrils again and swung them at Ryuusei’s legs in an attempt to trip him. Regardless of whether this succeeded or not he used his boosted strength to leap at the other teen and hopefully drive his knee into him with titanic force.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
It hit. Little, but it did. Nick was probably underestimating Ryuusei, thinking that the current Yuuei student couldn't really fight. Perhaps such thought was even subconscious, but it was clearly there. Otherwise Nick would've been more cautious and not fall for that feint. The armored teenager wasn't able to fully dodge the knife, which actually cut through the side of the protected abdomen, enough to even draw blood. The spilled red liquid woke something up. A loud scream right in front of Ryuu. Not one of pain - more like of extreme anger and rage. Nick really lived up to the villain persona. But what the hell was that? Did he really thought Ryuu to be weak to a point of being able to not even touch him? Nevertheless, it seemed like something huge was coming up. A barrage of attacks was what followed. Kicks and punches, both coming at what looked to be Nick's full power and speed. Ryuusei's agility and ability to fight made him able to ride a few of the shots; his tough body allowed to sustain a little less damage than what it could've been. But it was still too much. Many of the shots still landed clean with an impact that seemed to be comparable to being hi with a metal beam coming at full-speed. The non-stopping flurry of attacks that Ryuu was spending his entire focus on trying to absorb made him, once gain, not notice the tendrils. This time Nick used them to sweep Ryuusei and, being successful, landed a huge knee on the boy's stomach. Blood instantly came out of Ryuu's mouth as the impact launched him into the air backwards, making him landing some meters away from the villain. The rain kept falling hard and the floor of the alley was soaking wet, water reaching three centimeters in height. Having rolled on the floor following the last blow that Nick threw, Ryuusei was now soaking wet. Hair, clothes, everything. His body already with visible bruises from Nick's punches and kicks, some areas even bleeding. But yet... Is that all? he asked as he stood up. The voice was low and followed by a loud cough that made Ryuusei spit even more blood. That knee probably led to some kind of small internal bleeding. Shit... Ryuusei thought as he felt something weird on his insides. He was still holding onto his knife with his left hand, even if the grip was now significantly weaker that what it would be at Ryuu's full strenght. But he had been able to held on to it even after getting thrown away. I can't back off. I have to keep him here... Why are they taking so damn long?Another lightning struck in the distance. This time louder, meaning that the storm was reaching the center of the city. As the light made itself visible in the alley, Ryuusei start to, once gain, running towards Nick. Slower, but still running. Keep attacking. I can end this here.Fighting Jasmine, Ryuusei let himself be almost burned alive while being able to keep his breath... and that was only sparring. He was to sttuborn - he would have to go unconscious in order to stop chasing his goal, to stop attacking on. While running, he placed his arms behind his back and there changed the knife to his right hand. Then, when near striking range, he would first move his left arm - another feint. It was an attempt at a distraction while his right hand - his least favorite and the one now holding the knife - advanced, trying to slash Nick in his abdomen once again. Nick felt no end of satisfaction when his knee connected with Ryuusei and the coward hacked up blood. His laughter was rich and bounced off the alley walls. The wound dealt to his side continued to burn like the pits of hell, but in that moment of glee he did not care so much.
“What the fuck did you expect?” he cried as he watched the other teen go flying, a grin spread wide across his face beneath his mask. “Your little butterknife can’t stop me. You can’t stop me. You’re nothing!”
Even so, the bastard dared to get back onto his feet. Nick’s grin shrank somewhat and his eye twitched. Did he not realise how his legs were shaking? How there was almost certainly something broken on the inside? He was beaten, and yet the fact he was still trying could not have made Nick’s fists clench harder.
“Didn’t you just hear me? You’re nothing, you piece of -”
A sudden intense cramp-like pain exploded through his body from the growth on his back and he damn near collapsed. How he managed to stay on his feet, he did not know. Coupled with the burning in his side it was far too much to take.
Somewhere in among the pain signals rapidly overloading his mind he realised this was likely a sign his armour was reaching its limit, but he did not remember it hurting when it did. The extra pain was probably thanks to how hard he had pushed himself in his spat with the slime whore.
His wavering vision focused again just in time for him to see Ryuusei attempt another charge, knife still in hand.
Shit.
Nick’s legs moved with minds of their own, bending and then pushing him off into the air a full seven feet, allowing him to clear the fence in a single bound. He landed on the other side and staggered, but once again managed to keep his balance. Biting back his pain, he glanced over his shoulder at Ryuusei.
“I’m done with you. For now. You’re beat up enough that Rin should get the message - and I hope you have too; don’t fuck with me!”
With that he sprinted away, pouring all of his fading strength into his legs. He was not sure exactly where he was when his armour finally gave out and receded. He collapsed against a wall, breaths heavy and one hand clutching his bleeding side, fingers dyed red. Shit. How far was Nari’s house from where he was? Likely too far. He pulled his phone from his pocket and began to dial the contact number Thundershock had given him. He would rather face the Yakuza boss’s scorn than Mother’s. Mother might have been in Japan, but he did not dare call her; if she saw him in his current state she would finish the job.
You ran away again. You’re the true coward here.
“Shut up,” he hissed.
Even so, he felt his self-hatred weighing down on him. He had struggled against Ryuusei of all people, someone he believed he should have flattened with ease. Was he really so weak?
He finished dialing the number and slumped back. His last thoughts were of Rin’s face before darkness swallowed his vision.

Junko was in her office. Grading some tests and planning lessons. She was usually alone at this time at this time of the day. Actually she was usually always alone when not teacher her class or holding detentions. But then suddenly, something gained her attention. She turned on her laptop and saw the UA school chat. There were coordinates, sent by Ryuusei Igarashi
Igarashi, Ryuusei: I need the assistance of a teacher as quick as possible. It's an urgent matter of extreme importance. Please follow my GPS coordinates. Igarashi, Ryuusei shared his GPS coordinates
And of course just like the last time with shark man and Darren, chaos. Students thinking they were hot shots, wanting to go to the scene of the crime. Junko and a few other teachers, such as Geist took damage control. Things were becoming more chaotic so Geist deleted the coordinates and put them back in the teachers chat. She typed and planned with the staff, namely Geist.
Junko: We need to think quickly Geist. We must organize fast. What do we do? Geist: Maybe you should go. I think Rin went to see Yellow Jacket... Geist: I'll stay on the campus and stop people from leaving Junko: Very well. I will go. Junko logged off
And with that she smacked the laptop shut, grabbed. 3 items and ran to the coordinates like a manman. Like a bloodthirsty bulldog. If some Villain was harming her students there was going to be HELL!!!! She will finally catch a break. Be a Hero and not some dinky teacher that teaches a bunch of delinquents who are unclassified wannabe heroes. This time she gets to make a difference, save a student and capture a Villain. Its like a dream come true. Of course she rushed to the scene of the crime like no other. Even pushing people aside just to hunt down her prey.
She arrived eventually. But sadly it was too little too late. She was there at the coordinates. But didnt see hide nor hair of Nick. Which pissed her off TO NO ENDS!!! "COWARD!!! SHOW YOURSELF!!!!" she yelled out towards Nicks general direction "WHERE IS HE!?!??!?! WHERE DID HE HIDE!?!??!" she asked angrily picking up Ryuusei,so he can see her eye to eye
OH GODS ALL MIGHTY FROM ALL THE PANTHEONS IN THE MULTIVERSE!!! IF THAT VILLAIN GOT AWAY THERE WAS GOING TO BE SUCH A HELL THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO MAKE UP A NEW WORD FOR THAT NEW HELL!!!!! SHE WAS READY TO CHEW OFF SOMEOENES FINGERS(LITERALLY) WITH HOW ANGRY AND BLOODTHIRSTY SHE WAS

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Running at the maximum capacity that his body allowed; running with the intent of stopping Nick Cross right there. As each heavy step accentuated the sound of the pouring rain, Ryuusei Igarashi didn't took his eyes away from the target. A cat hunting for a mouse, awaiting the arrival of the humans to offer the fresh prey as a gift. It was then that he noticed it: weakness. Shaky legs, a body almost collapsing. A certain pain being hidden in order for the predator to not recognize the advantage that he now possessed. Perhaps the Quirk had reached his limit? Perhaps the previous cut had made more damage to Nick than what Ryuusei though? No, the reasons were not important. Looking at such signals, there were only three words echoing on Ryuusei's mind. You have him.A quick slashing motion, a blade cutting through the drops of water that kept on falling from the sky. But no blood like before, no body nor armor. At the last second, Nick Cross jumped over Ryuusei Igarashi and, due to the extra power of his biological armor, crossed to the otherside of the fence at the same time. Ryuusei turned his body as fast as he could. No, I can't let him. The teachers should be arr-A sharp pain. Sharp enough to have the teenager fall to his knees, for him to not being able to finish his own thoughts. Mixing with the water on the ground was, once again, Ryuusei's own blood. Coming from his mouth, the quantity was much larger - it was like he had just literally puked blood. That knee had made some serious damage. Maybe by luck, by hitting the only tiny spot that could create such complications; or maybe not, maybe it was just raw power that not even Ryuu's toughened body couldn't sustain. Either way, the truth was that the student of Yuuei's Class 1-A was on his knees and that the villain was escaping after offering some last words. And, just like that, Nick Cross vanished into the darkness of the city, Ryuusei's body being the only proff that the enemy was once in that alley. The boy puked once again. More blood on the ground, the water around becoming purely red. Another lightning strike was heard, louder in the same why that the light was now closer to the dark alley. Looking at his reflection on the bloody water, Ryuusei's eyes were empty. He got away...It was then - only seconds after Nick's escape - that someone else arrived. Ryuusei Igarashi felt his body being lifted up, his ears picking up the sound of an angry and loud voice. That hurts, he thought as he sensed an excruciating pain on his abdomen as he was lifted up, his own voice on his head sounding like a mere shell of someone who was once there. Ryuusei was soaking wet. Yeah, perhaps that was why he was feeling cold. Looking at who had picked him up, he recognized the person. It was a teacher from Yuuei Highschool. They received his message. That was good. But... He jumped over the fence, he said in a low-tone, a voice of someone who wasn't really there. And then Ryuusei felt something coming up once again. By reflex, he immediately took Junko's hands away from him. Turning his back to the Hero, Ryuusei went to his knees again and puked even more blood than before while grabbing his belly with both of his arms. And then... and then the calm, rational and de-attached boy just came crashing to the earth. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! - he yelled - I had him! I fucking had him! Why?! Why wasn't I able to ca-His words filled with rage and pain were stopped by more blood coming out of his mouth. His body going forward due to the gagging reflex, Ryuusei forehead was now touching the ground. Tears merging with the rain, the rain merging with the blood. He closed his fists and slowly punched the ground out of frustration. His voice was much lower, a voice of someone defeated. I did the right thing... I called for help, I tried to keep him here as long as I could and in the same way that a real Hero would've done it... I did my part, so tell me... tell me why...And then the defeated voice turned into screams of pain, of someone full of emotion that was just letting all the frustration out... Something that he never did. Perhaps that was the reason or his current state: head on the ground, covered in water and blood while trying to control his tears. WHY COULDN'T YOU DO YOURS AND ARRIVE EARLIER?! He punched the ground again as he finished screaming. And then the crying and sobbing became even more apparent. The voice became lower, almost unheardable with all that rain. W-Why? W-Why do I always fail? W-Why can't I s-save them...Besides the internal damage, Ryuusei hadn't suffered more damage. Hell, looking closely and if the possibility of running away wasn't there the boy could've probably won that fight. But the feeling of being useless... It was killing Ryuusei. The pain on his abdomen was becoming unbearable, but it did not compare to the pain he felt on his heart. Notes: The feeeeeeeeeels.Words: 890.Tags: Nick Cross Junko Tanaka @naruhodo
