Progression
<History> Basically, i looked at what Niso is and how im playing him, and his history, and recognized a large disconnect. While his likes, dislikes, general personality, all remain the same, his history was a bit too close to one of his past incarnations in my desire to bring him back to that era, but im going to removing some of the darker elements. He only has 2 threads so far, and this change will not affect those, so hopefully this is okay. Upgrading From: Niso grew up in every way being average, or at the very least, ordinary. In fact, one might argue in the fields he attempted, he could often times be exemplary, but all of those fields in his mind were average fields. He grew up, went to an average public school, proceeded to an average high school, which held average classes and contained the average student. His family life was average too. In no way was it bad, but neither of his parents had exemplary jobs. They were loving, peaceful, and they certainly looked after him, but the key word continued to creep into his mind as he grew up. Average. This was an average family life that many children might love to the very core of their being, and for the most part Niso told himself he did too. He did believe he loved his parents. They cared for him and he cared for them in turn, but the average life he lead also had another adjective for it. Mundane. He woke up, he ate, he said goodbye to his parents, he went to school, he attended class, he went to Piano practice, he came home, he did his homework, he ate his supper, and he slept. He woke up, he ate, he went to school, he went home, he ate, he slept. Wake up. Eat. School. Home. Eat. Sleep. Wake. Eat. Work. Sleep. Wake. Eat. Sleep. His life was a blur of mundanity. He did well in school and his parents could try to spice things up with family movie night or a board game, but when he boiled it down it was all the same. Wake. Live. Sleep. Wake. Live. Sleep. Wake live sleep wake live sleep wake live sleep wakelivesleepwakelivesleepwakelivesleepwakelivesleepsleepsleepsleepsleepSleEpSlEEpslEEPsLeepsleEp- Wake. Kill your parents. live. He still isn't sure why he did it, and at the time he wasn't even aware how, but the vacant eyes of the mundane child stood over the bloodied corpses of his mother and father one Saturday morning, holding a baseball bat he was fairly sure no one in the family would have owned. His face was drenched in blood and his neck covered in bruises from where...his father maybe? Well...one of them had tried to stop him in their final moments of desperation. In the back of his mind he could hear their pleas for him to stop, their confusion when he walked into their bedroom with his cold vacant eyes. But this was right. This was right....the mundanity was killing him at his core and he finally broke. Perhaps it could have been cleaner, perhaps he could have just left home and not done...this...but it felt right the more he thought about it. He no longer had a tie to his parents, the creatures that brought him into this mundane world. He could start anew, not having to worry about the stupid rules of society...he could create fun. Create excitement. Create purpose. Create chaos. As he stood there, standing over the mangled corpses of his parents, Niso smiled truly for the first time in years. In time he may regret this, he may recognize the pain of the loving family he had rid himself of...but that day has yet to come. A year has passed since the brutal slaughter of his own parents, and Niso has discovered the joy of chaos, along with the discovery of his quirk. Using it and his lack of purpose oddly making him hard to track, he has been enjoying life to the fullest with no regard for those around him. There is only one thing keeping him in check, an immense fear of death. To him this is the ultimate form of order, an antithesis tot he chaos he worships. To die is to end. Forever. Even the mundanity of his life would be chaos compared to the endless void deprived of thought or memory that is his own perception of death. As such, along with his pursuit of chaos, he is in the pursuit of...something. A quirker, a technology, a drug, anything that could grant him escape from death. He hopes to pull immortality out of his hat. Upgrading to: Niso grew up in every way being average, or at the very least, ordinary. Wake live sleep wake live sleep wake live sleep wakelivesleepwakelivesleepwakelivesleepwakelivesleepsleepsleepsleepsleepSleEpSlEEpslEEPsLeepsleEp- Niso's blind mind found itself in class one day, just staring at the wall, a lesson he already understood. Questions he could answer without even registering his own voice leaving his lips. He wanted something to change. To just...be NEW. To be exciting. To be different. His hands cupped together on his desk he felt something filling them, slowly lifting his hands, the classmates around him ignorant of his confusion as he found a small foam set of dice had filled his hands. He blinked, covered it with his hands again, and told himself he was just imagining things. He opened his hands again and the dice were gone...a third time. To test a theory. He covered his hands over one another, and this time only a single dice appeared where he'd been hiding his hands. He was bewildered, confused...was he actually doing this or was he just so bored his imagination was getting away from him. He glanced about, none of the class could be considered his friend, or even cared enough to make themselves his bully. Instead he was left on his own in his confusion, and took the dice, rolling it quietly between his hands. He began asking himself questions. Questions he knew the answer to, but roughly answering them with the rolls of the dice. It was a lot more interesting. He chuckled now and then as he came up with more ludicrous answers. What was his favorite food? Normally he'd play it safe. An apple. Sweet and tasty but healthy. Roll of the dice, suddenly he was hankering for something he'd always liked more but was far from healthy. Eventually he asked the dice what he should do. Just one question, and with the answers in his head, the usual mundane options of studying, enjoying his parents company, or just having a nap when he got home...he rolled a one. The option 'have fun'. He quietly asked himself what that'd mean for a moment...and then continued to let the dice decide. Niso didn't listen to the dice beyond that day, but breaking his norms was a great start in becoming something...more than what he was. Enjoying a few things he'd have never thought to do otherwise, he let his own mind freely begin to choose new experiences. In time he'd summon the dice again here or there, and eventually learned what else he could summon. So he had a quirk huh? And a rather versatile one at that... Maybe he could have fun with this...~ |
