((To start this thread Bashira has: F rank bowling, F rank arm shields, and E rank quirk))
"Piss up a rope!"
Just a night after her failed takedown of the stilt-legged man, during which the perp had managed to make off carrying an antiquated television set, Bashira once again found herself unsuccessful in bringing to justice one of her least favorite types of quirk-using criminals: a flyer. One minute, the guy was standing there carrying some kind of terribly outdated dvd player and the next, he had shot into the air by growing his ears and flapping them. "Gaddammit! If they're gonna keep getting away, I wish they at least wouldn't use such lame-ass powers to do it!" she snapped internally, following the one she had externalized a moment ago.
The target of her verbal abuse was not the perpetrator of the crime, who had flown off with his ill-gotten gains, but rather, the owner of the television store she kept failing to stop criminals from stealing from. The guy was old, half-blind, and on a walking cane, but he had a mouth like a sailor, and it was all Bashira could to to talk over him. "That's it! I'm putting out a wanted ad! Wanted: a better lowlife vigilante to squat in the alley behind my store! Need someone who can catch villains oh, and preferably, without leaving bowling ball sized holes in all of the scenery! Apply within!" he snapped, raising cane, both literally and figuratively as he swiped his walking stick up and knocked her in the head a few times.
It didn't hurt her, thick-skulled as she was, and she nearly knocked the guy over just by batting the annoying cane away with the back of one hand. "Listen, I may be screwin' up a little, but I mean what I'm sayin'! If you didn't mark your crap up to like ten times the market price, these guys wouldn't keep stealing it! Damn, I almost feel bad for 'em, trying to pawn off TVs for ten times the asking price or whatever," she sighed. The cane kept batting her in the face, finally hooking under her over-sized jaw and pulling her lip down, exposing one hooked incisor.
Bashira was dressed in her vigilante outfit, but she wasn't feeling a lot of respect for it coming from the guy, nor a very strong motivation to uphold her own tenants of not harming citizens. "Jackass," she spat, grabbing the man's cane out her mouth and preparing to chuck it down the alley. Her horns began flowing and projected two beams, lining up a perfect toss into the garbage can on the opposite side.
"You give red ogres a bad name!" he protested, waving his arms above his head again. It was in this unfortunate situation that Bashira would sound encounter yet another professional hero, likely drawn by the mixture of commotion and flashing lights that followed Bashira wherever she went.

Quirk C, ((Quirk C, Titan motion D, Determination E, Tolerance F
also sorry for the delay))
Mia had been looking for a new TV herself when she was out and about. The specific store she was about to pass had no interest to her, as she’d heard it had ridiculous prices for rather mediocre TVs, but this part of town could definitely get her a good deal if she looked hard enough. What did catch her attention though was the old man who looked like he was gonna have an anger fit about this clearly quirk fuelled little thug who’d stolen his cane. Reaching over just as they were winding up their bowling arm, Mia latched onto the Cane, yanking it out of their hand as they tried to throw it, before crossing her arms and looking down at the horned creature, catching a bit of resemblance, what with the horns and the tusks poking out over her bottom lip.
“Gonna have to agree with the guy here. Stealing an old man’s cane? I really hope you don’t go tarnishing the reputation of Oni like me.” She dipped her head to the old man, in her casual clothes so more just intimidating from size alone than her reputation as a hero or anything. “You okay there?”

Bashira was more confused than angry when she found herself in the unusual situation of being unable to chuck a held object into the distance. This was an interruption of an activity that normally came as simply to her as walking or talking. In a moment, she realized that the cane had been pulled out of her hands by someone who had, amazingly, enough strength to match that granted to her by way of her own quirk, Ogress.
This unusual turn of events was readily explained by the fact that the interloper interfering with her tantrum was, herself, an oni, which Bashira thought was just a fancy way of saying ogre, even though the number of syllables was exactly the same. In a hurry, Bashira attempted to give her side of the story, digging her trench deeper. "Nah, come on! This ungrateful old bastard was raggin' on me cause I couldn't predict that the guy would have floppy elephant ears!" she protested, pantomiming giant ears with her over-sized hands by placing the knuckles against her temples and flapping her clenched fingers. The description omitted many important details.
"I don't care if'n ya got outsmarted by a real villain or by a magic flyin' elephant! Fact'a the matter is, you're a menace!" the old man spat angrily. "I'm just fine, ma'am," he continued in a creaky, tittering laugh. There was a little nervousness in his voice as he tried to appeal to the new oni, feeling as though she might be just as strong as the one who'd been aggravating him. "'Specially now that a good oni is here!"
Name calling always pissed Bashira off, and the bowling ogre stepped forward, pressing her shoulder up to Mia's. For now, at least, the vigilante had a slight height advantage, mostly due to her lamp-post-like lankiness. Her muscle mass wasn't equal, except for in the arms, where it was rarely exceeded. She stuck her jaw out into the other girl's face and growled. "I'm Tenpin and this alley's my turf, Blondie. You ever see two people bowl the same lane at once, both at the same time? It don't happen, cause it's stupid," the red girl warned. "I'm one of the good guys," she continued, although that claim hadn't worked out for her when Christopher had pursued her. "So why don't you let me finish settlin' my argument with Mr. 'Would-Ya-Like-To-Trade-Your-Car-For-A-TV' over there, who's practically a criminal himself?"
"Beeeh!" the oldster complained in a phlegm-choked snort. "She's no hero! She's a vigilante!, and a dead-beat!"
Bashira couldn't help but feel betrayed, given the work she had tried to do for the crappy old guy. Of course, Mia had probably put two-and-two together before this revelation came out regardless, but Bashira was too dense to realize the cat was already out of the bag. The ogre took two steps away, then began to raise her fists. "You can call me Tenpin, and yeah, I'm a vigilante, even though it don't always work out and I never seem to get paid for it any more. Who're you, huh?" she grumbled warily, hoping in futility she wasn't dealing with another persistent hero already, so soon after that tough old guy that called himself Sentinel.

Mia had in no way expected THAT to be the way she was introduced to whatever the hell was going on here, crossing her arms and trying to suppress the look of sheer confusion as she tried to tell her what exactly had been going on, opening her mouth to say something but just absolutely bewildered by her comment about elephant ears, though as the two went on she was getting more and more pieces of the puzzle, even if she had to glare a little at the old man when he clearly tried to suck up to her with his tone alone, holding a hand out to him as if to say he should back off when she got a handle on the situation.
Very briefly, she thought the vigilante said she was ‘temping’, like, temporarily working here, but with the repeated use of the word she realized it was a vigilante name. Clearly from the old man’s perspective she wasn’t doing a good job. And the old man just continued to confirm it. Sighing through her nose, she never liked reprimanding vigilantes too much since she used to be one herself, and stepping forward, she grasped the girl by one of her horns and dragged her deeper into the alleyway. The ogress may have thought they were equals, but as Mia displayed her own strength, it’d likely become rapidly apparent she was leagues above.
“Who am I? Red Horn, pro hero, and you just made the dumb move of telling me you’re a vigilante.” She said bluntly. Of course she’d never bring someone in for JUST being a vigilante, however illegal it was, but she hoped it’d make her realize just who she was talking to as she added. “Now behave, you and I need to have a word.”
If the old man tried to follow she’d shout at him to go back to selling his overpriced TVs, having seen the prices in the store window, and agreeing, fuckers would need to sell their cars for a TV at that price. Yanking the girl by her horns so her back landed against a wall, Mia stood over her a little with folded arms, looking her dead in the eye. “Now, why don’t you take a deep breath and tell me what exactly has been going on with you and mr oldie? This may be your alleyway, but this whole city is ‘my turf’, so I suggest you give me some co-operation here if you wanna keep working in it.”

Rather than the fist fight Bashira had been expecting, the encounter turned into an embarrassment, with Bashira being dragged off by one of her luminescent horns through the overwhelming power of the newcomer. This really proved the old addage: "there's a first time for everything." "Friggin- let me go!" she complained. swiping her heavy arms to buffet the lady a few times until she was released, out of sight of the old man. For his part, the oldster didn't seem eager to follow, now that Bashira was out of what little hair he had left.
"It wasn't me!" Bashira whined, bristling at the notion she had courted danger by revealing her vigilante nature. "Well... okay, I guess I agreed after that old guy spilled the beans. I'm not gonna lie," she grunted switching from batting at Mia to now tugging at the wrists to try to get Mia's hands off her. As she did, she paused for a moment. "Red Horn? That's a kind of a cool name!" the younger of the two ogres suddenly shifted gears. "Damn, I shoulda thought of that. I'd have been Red Horns with an 'S' though. Why do you only have one horn anyway?"
Bashira was running at the mouth a bit; once she finally quieted down, she squinted her eyes and listened. "Well, I guess I sorta relax in his back alley sometimes... cause it's got one'a them overhang things and nobody goes back there. Well okay, to be more accurate, I sleep there," she grumbled, scratching at her long chin. "So uh, that wacko keeps gettin' his TVs stolen, which I tell 'im is cause he charges an arm and two legs for everything in his store! He doesn't appreciate me or what I do so he just sells me out to you, cause I can't nab those guys!" she grit her teeth, turning her head to avert her eyes from Mia's. It might not escape Red Horn's attention that she seemed pretty ashamed by her failures so far.
"Hey, I don't get it... you look like you got the same quirk as me, or uh, close... Why are you so much stronger than I am?" Bashira complained. "Can you show me? It's gotta be some kinda trick or something, right? But... even if I was that strong it wouldn't help me catch those guys." Thinking hard, she emitted a guttural throat noise for a moment, then spoke up again. "Yer a hero, right? How do you catch bad guys that can fly and crap?" It seemed they were getting pretty far off topic from Bashira's original indiscretion.

Ignoring the struggling of the other Oni until they were deeper into the alleyway when they could have a more private conversation, narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms when she tried to defend her sense of how her vigilante-ism was revealed, rolling her eyes a little briefly, but again willing to hear her out. She had nothing against vigilante’s personally but she also couldn’t let members of the public know that since it wasn’t something any pro hero should have done. She scoffed and eased up a little at the comment of her name being cool, unfolding her arms and resting her hands down on her hips.
“Right okay, I think I get the bigger picture…I should still probably bring you in for the whole vigilante thing but if this is just a little dispute between…well guess the closest thing I could label you two is business partners.” She shrugged, knowing that wasn’t perfect but it meant no disrespect to either party, like calling her his bodyguard or underling might. “So don’t worry about that okay? Really. I used to be a vigilante myself so don’t you worry about me bringing you in just for that. So long as you don’t start causing actual trouble we’re good.” She offered a hopefully reassuring smile, before chuckling as the girl went on about her strength, pounding her fist into her own chest with pride.
“Hard work and dedication is the bare bones of it!” She grinned nice and wide, lowering her fist and resting both fists against her hips. “Seriously, not to be soppy or anything, but I could feel you tugging back and I can tell you’re strong, and I used to be about your level, but ya just need to keep to it. If your quirk lets you be naturally strong, ya just gotta build on that shit and push it to it’s limit ya know?~”

"You were a vigilante too, huh?" Bashira questioned, trying to picture Mia sleeping outdoors in the rain like she normally did, without considering a vigilante lifestyle did not necessarily entail homelessness. "Hey, how do you get one'a those sweet government hero jobs? Did you have to go to classes and crap? No way, right?" she asked, having an even harder time picturing that scenario. "I'd probably bring the school down around me tryin' to get through those lame lessons and books." That probably wasn't too far from the truth, though in reality, it'd be mostly her inability to control her strength rather than her distaste for learning.
On that note, Mia's explanation of how to build her strength made Bashira think. She knit her heavy brow and noted Bashira's muscles again. "Say, maybe you can help me with somethin'," she continued, although she had no leverage to be asking for favors. "How do you manage to not, you know... break everything when yer tryin' to bring somebody in? I can't open a door without breaking the damn thing! No lie, I sometimes have to wait outside a place so I can kinda shoulder my way in behind somebody else! How do ya turn it off?"
Bashira found herself growing more excited at the opportunity to finally speak with someone she could relate to on the finer points of being a female ogre. "Hey uh, do you ever manage to find hats that you can wear? Do people give you crap cause yer an ogre or is it all cool cause yer a hero? Hey, where is like... a cheap place to have a shower once in a while, you got any ideas?" She paused, rubbing her chin for a moment, then blushed pink. "U-Uh, I guess that last one ain't really an ogre thing. But ya got any ideas?"
