Upgrading to: Type: Skill Rank: D Effect: Savate is a French combat sport that uses the hands and feet as weapons, combining elements of English boxing and graceful kicking techniques. Hachi uses this alongside her flying to attack enemies with brutal aerial attacks, mainly kicks and downward swipes. She learned this style from her mentor.

Progression<Queen Bee>
Upgrading From: Type: Mutation Rank: E Effect: Hachi is a bee. Well, a bee-person. She can do pretty much everything that bees do: from being capable of flight--though in wears her out as running at her full speed would, meaning she can only do so for about 100m at a time before needing to rest--to being able to create honeycomb and honey--yes by eating and spitting up pollen, she knows it's gross--to having a stinger at the end of her abdomen that contains venom inside it. She's also capable of communicating with other bees though pheromones. However, she cannot command bees in any meaningful way, asides from occasionally "telling" them where good flowers are to pollinate or "asking" them not to sting the person they have landed on. Also, while speaking, Hachi's voice always sounds just a little vibrate-y, like she's talking while shaking her head very fast. Drawback: Asides from her entire appearance being impossible to disguise, as well as the amount of judgment she's received in her life, Hachi has a few generic bee-related weaknesses. Common pesticides make her nauseous, she has the bad habit of getting distracted by bright colors or floral scents, and sometimes she gets drunk from eating too much honey and lays about uselessly for a few hours. Her main weakness, however, is energy consumption. Her wings take a large amount of strength to maintain flight, so she cannot use it for travel or combat for extended periods of time. Technical wise she can only maintain "flight" for two posts at a time, and required a four post rest time between flights. To make up for the loss of energy outside of combat she needs to consume an alarming amount of food--three times her body weight, daily! One last thing to note is her stinger. While sharp as your average blade, she has never used it to "sting" somebody, for fear that it would become wedged in them and cause her internal organs to be pulled out with the stinger, just like what happens with a real bee. It's good for slashing at people threateningly, but as a real weapon...not so much.

Upgrading Hachi's profile from the old template to the new, as well as expanding her history and personality as more of her character has been fleshed out. Here we go!
TSUTSUJI HACHI BASIC INFORMATION Hero/Vigilante/Villain alias: Yellow Jacket Player Name: Keiran Faceclaim/Series: Vespiquen/Pokemon Age: 34 Gender: Female Affiliation: U.A Academy / Hero Height: 1.98m (6'4") Weight: 53kg Hair/Style: Black and straight, cut to jaw-length. Skin/Scars: Yellow and Black, stripped. She has numerous old scars on her body but none in particular stand out--they're just a symbol of her time as a vigilante. Eyes: Red, compound, and larger than a grown man's fist. Notables: She is a very tall humanoid bee. I think that counts as notable.
APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY Appearance: Hachi stands out quite a bit. Perhaps it's because she stands a towering 1.98m (6'4"), or perhaps it's how her abdomen is three times the width of her waist, or perhaps it's the wings that span 1m (3') in length that help her to hover off the ground, or...maybe it's just the overall bee-like appearance. Yeah, that's probably it.
Asides from the obvious, Hachi does still have some human features. She can grow hair--which she keeps cut to her jaw so that she can keep it tucked into her helmet--and has only two arms and two legs. Her abdomen, thorax, and wings though are obviously inhuman, and get in the way of wearing normal clothing and being inconspicuous in any way. Because of this she needs to order dresses custom-made for her, and cannot for the life of her wear pants.
Her hero costume has been upgraded from its vigilante style; she wears a helmet with built-in goggles and antenna protection, reinforced armor on her torso, and a skirt of sorts made of similarly made plates that act as protection for her abdomen, while keeping her stinger--which she uses as a weapon--open for slashing at villains.
POSITIVE ✔ Outdoorsy, Patient, Attentive, Strong-Willed, Maternal NEGATIVE ✖ Paranoid, Defensive, Unforgiving, Withdrawn, Traumatized LIKES ✔ Her Students, Sunlight, Open Air, Sweet Drinks, Flight DISLIKES ✖ Enclosed Spaces, Loud and Sudden Noises, Flashing Lights, Being Alone
Personality:
Hachi has seen some things in her lifetime that have twisted her personality to some degree. She's not a bad person. Not by far. She's gentle, is generally in a positive mood, and has an excellent eye for details both in a person's body language and overall. But for all her care that she does have for her fellow heroes and others alike, Hachi carries a lot of pain under her calm, pleasant demeanor.
On the outside it is impossible to really read Hachi's expressions. She comes across as cold, angry, or simply too intense without meaning to due to her rather alien features. This makes getting to know new people difficult. To compensate for her lacking of facial expressions--and occasionally just "bad" social skills--Hachi does her best to always speak her mind, putting emphasis on her spoken word rather than her visual cues. It doesn't always work, and to some extent Hachi doesn't mind if others can't read her, but with her position as a teacher and the changing tides towards heroes she knows she must learn to project a better image of herself.
It's a work in progress.
Beyond her exterior there are emotional hurdles in Hachi as well. The death of her mentor, revelations about her past, and the harm that has come to innocents and to her students when under her watch left deep marks. While she projects as much of a maternal, caring presence as she can around others, she is utterly lost on how to handle her own emotions, to the point where she can go into panic attacks when alone for too long. She counters this by patrolling as often as possible, or trying to spend any time she must be alone sleeping or heavily distracted in some other way.
At her core, however, Hachi is as kind as she projects, and genuinely enjoys her work as both a teacher and a hero. She is learning to open up again after being closed off for some time, and is re-teaching herself about growing up as much as she is teaching her students. It is a stressful job but she doesn't regret it for a moment.
HISTORY Hachi was born to a pair of parents with their own Quirks, related to fruit and honey respectively. Her birth was an...interesting moment, because the baby that came from her mother was not, in fact, a human baby, but instead an egg. A bee egg.
(Her mother still quotes herself as saying "Oh my gosh, I love bees!" on that day.)
After hatching at two months Hachi was a larva between then and age two, and was then a pupa until she "matured" at six years old. Because of her unusual physiology her parents kept her at home and took extra care of her. She still learned to walk and speak the same as any normal child, just with a much squishier exterior. Finally, though, her parents and her made the choice to enroll her in a normal school. As they lived just outside of Tokyo, there was a more concentrated amount of Quirk-having people around, but even then none were so vibrantly unusual as Hachi was.
The result of public schooling was mixed. Some teachers and children her age admired her wings or complimented her compound eyes or asked to taste the honey she could make--the latter one always embarrassed her. Other adults would shun her, and some of the crueler children labelled her a "freak", going so far as to spray her with pesticides that made her so ill that she had to stay home.
Hachi grew into a young adult with both of these kinds of people at her side, along with her parents who still really, truly loved her. Because of them and those who treated her well she didn't come to hate her appearance, but she also knew that there would always be those who couldn't see past it, and would only fear or loathe her because of it. She had accepted that for all her life she would be different.
At fourteen, however, Hachi experienced her first taste of what her power could really do. One evening while leaving school she spotted one of her classmates standing on the roof past the fence, preparing to jump. She didn't know their name or which class they were in, but without thinking Hachi flew into action and managed to catch the student mid-air. She slowly lowered them back down. After a moment of simply holding them they broke down crying, and Hachi brought them to a hospital for help. She returned home late that night with a fire lit within her.
Although she never told another soul about this, Hachi was thence forth determined to help others in the same way as she'd helped that classmate. Hachi began studying human psychology--as much as a girl her age could at any rate--planning on becoming one of the first Quirker therapists in Japan. She also sought to take up some sort of karate course to relieve stress. However, Hachi had difficulties with most forms of martial arts due to her thin limbs and claws. She needed a style that suited what she could do, but she wasn't sure what that was to some extent.
Two years later she met Solenn.
Solenn Lièvremont was a French vigilante who came to Japan to "escape European authorities"--so she claimed in jest whenever Hachi asked. She possessed a Quirk that gave her the appearance of a lightning bug, complete with an abdomen that glowed, but her true power came in the form of lightning manipulation. While visiting Tokyo, Solenn spotted Hachi walking home from school she immediately approached her, unable to let another insect-like Quirker pass her by. The two got to talking and exchanged information, and though Solenn was eighteen years Hachi's senior, the two began spending all of their free time together.
Solenn taught Hachi her fighting style, the two trained up her wing strength to allow for longer flight, and Hachi confided all her hopes and dreams to Solenn who encouraged her without fail. The two were inseparable. And finally, when Hachi graduated from school, she immediately went along with Solenn's vigilantism.
The two became a duo called "The Fighter Flyers". With Solenn the charming and confident face and Hachi her quick-witted and equally speedy side-kick, the two became fairly popular despite their action being illegal. It didn't hurt that the two were carefully clever about not being caught by police committing their vigilantism.
However all was not fun and games and heroism as Hachi dreamed it would be. As strong and good and charming as Solenn was, and as strong as they were together, she still witnessed many deaths both on the side of villains...and heroes. She saw friends in arms killed by armed criminals. She watched Solenn fry a man from the inside out when he refused to hand over a hostage. She never once picked up a gun, but many times was fired upon by them, sometimes taking serious wounds.
For thirteen long years this was her life, living from villain to villain, crime to crime, with the only guarantee in her life being Solenn. Even that had its limits. As time went on Solenn grew older, her skills weakening with time, and Hachi chose to voice her fears. Hachi truly loved Solenn, but no matter how many times she begged or argued or even fought for her to step down, Solenn wouldn't. Couldn't. They fought one another until one evening when they had to put their words aside to stop a crime in progress. A simple drug-bust that had ended in a chase to a nearby building. It was a quick job, and it would help to clear the air, Hachi believed.
Solenn was fatally wounded by a shotgun during the raid. Nothing could have been done to save her. It was a mistake. The two of them hadn't even considered that their target could be armed with a gun--it was so uncommon in Japan. But one mistake, one moment of clouded judgment, and Hachi's best friend and mentor was gone. In a moment of true, blood-red anguish, Hachi strangled the man responsible.
Hachi disappeared for three years. In that time, she mourned. Found a place for Solenn's remains. Lived with her mother--her father having passed--for a time. Hid herself from sight of Japan, of the world, and took all that time simply to start anew. To learn to be human again, and to smile again. She still wanted to do good. She was still as true to that as she had always been. Without her mentor, though, Hachi didn't know how to do so. U.A Academy felt like the right place to start.

TSUTSUJI HACHI QUIRK INFORMATION Quirk Queen Bee Type: Mutation Rank: D Description: Hachi is a bee. Well, a bee-person. She can do pretty much everything that bees do: from being capable of flight, to being able to create honeycomb and honey--yes by eating and spitting up pollen, she knows it's gross--to having a stinger at the end of her abdomen that contains venom inside it. Through training she's now capable of using her stinger as a bladed weapon, and then venom inside inflicts a nausea effect for three posts. However, she can only slash at a person rather than stab, lest she risk "stinging" them. (See drawbacks below.) She's also capable of communicating with other bees though pheromones. However, she cannot command bees in any meaningful way. Hachi's voice always sounds just a little vibrate-y, like she's talking while shaking her head very fast. Effects: [Flight:] Hachi is capable of flight, though doing so wears her out as running at her full speed would. She can only do so for five posts at a time before needing to rest for three posts. [Stinger (Weapon/Status Ailment):] Hachi's stinger is a bladed weapon, and the venom inside inflicts a nausea effect for three posts. However, she can only slash at a person rather than stab, lest she risk "stinging" them/ (See drawback below.) [Pheromones:] Hachi can communicate with bees, but not in any meaningful way asides from asking them not to sting someone or telling them where flowers are. Drawback and Weaknesses: Asides from her entire appearance being impossible to disguise, as well as the amount of judgment she's received in her life, Hachi has a few generic bee-related weaknesses. To make up for the loss of energy outside of combat she needs to consume an alarming amount of food--three times her body weight, daily! If she is in a situation where she cannot maintain this diet she will be unable to fly.One last thing to note is her stinger. While sharp as your average blade, she has never used it to "sting" somebody, for fear that it would become wedged in them and cause her internal organs to be pulled out with the stinger, just like what happens with a real bee. Now that she is using it for combat as a bladed weapon, she must be careful, for her stinger being stuck or pulled on will cause her immense pain. ...if not kill her. MUNDANE ABILITIES Dance Rank: F Effect: Hachi enjoys dancing, and her wings let her come up with some interesting flight-dance combinations. Dance is also how bees communicate, and she assumes in time she'd be able to use her dancing to do something similar, but she hasn't figured out how to do that yet.

Who's ready for another mess of refunds and math headaches. However, she cannot command bees in any meaningful way. Hachi's voice always sounds just a little vibrate-y, like she's talking while shaking her head very fast. Effects: [Flight (Agility):] Hachi is capable of flight, giving her maneuverability and agility when in the air. She can maintain continuous flight for up to five posts before needing to take a breather. [Stinger (Weapon/Status Ailment):] Hachi's stinger is a bladed weapon, and the venom inside inflicts a nausea effect for three posts. However, she can only slash at a person rather than stab, lest she risk "stinging" them/ (See drawback below.) [Speed:] Hachi moves quickly, but only when in the air. Her flying speed is roughly 60 km/hr. If she is moving on the ground she only runs as fast as an average person. Drawback and Weaknesses: Asides from her entire appearance being impossible to disguise, as well as the amount of judgment she's received in her life, Hachi has a few generic bee-related weaknesses. Common pesticides make her nauseous, she has the bad habit of getting distracted by bright colors or floral scents, and sometimes she gets drunk from eating too much honey and lays about uselessly for a few hours. LIFE SKILLS Dance Rank: F Effect: Hachi enjoys dancing, and her wings let her come up with some interesting flight-dance combinations. Dance is also how bees communicate, and she assumes in time she'd be able to use her dancing to do something similar, but she hasn't figured out how to do that yet.
Ability name Rank: (Rank of the ability) Effect: (The effect of your ability) First: Hachi's speed has been melded into her Quirk. As her "Speed Queen" ability was purchased post-creation and then raised to D over time, that is a 700XP refund. Lordy. Give me time to process that and I'll think of what to do with it. Second: Hachi's "Dance" skill is still F, where is was at creation. It gets no refund. Same with Savate. Those are all the changes made. I'm almost sorry about the sheer amount of XP she's getting back, but...hey, expect Hachi to have a C rank Quirk write-up in the future!!

With that said...

Strength of a Bee
Rank: F
Effect: According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to--wait, no, wrong line. Hachi's strength has nothing to do with her wings, just with how much force her punch has behind it. She is capable of snapping wood and cracking stone with this level of strength.
