 at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It must be about a year that she had not looked forward to this job but those annoying boxes should be out of her house. It looked ridiculous as if she got to live her only last week instead of already twelve months. Dressed in simple comfortable clothing instead of what she normally wore when going to work or making an impression, the blonde had just moved the first box towards the couch and set it on the table to figure things out about what was in there, she could barely remember as she had quickly packed everything and had not looked at it again. There must be just random things in there that she had not really missed in that year or missed and yet was too lazy to see if it was in here. The question was at this point what she would keep or where she could store or when she would throw it away, would that take another year? The first thing she found in there was not something she remembered and she lifted an eyebrow, it was a big, brown, old-fashioned looking book. Mizuki Hanako was clearly written on there and it looked like a photo book. It must be her aunty who had thrown it in the box when she wasn't looking. She grumbled a bit, she had not really looked at the pictures after the accident unless forced in her face, like photographs in the papers and her aunty had a few of her sister and brother, Hana's parents in her house. When she opened the book, she immediately shut it as she could not stand to look at a picture of Nanami, but why would there be a solo picture of her sister in her baby book or her child book or whatsoever. She opened it slowly again, it was not as if the Japanese woman had forgotten that her original hair colour wasn't blonde at all. She had been dying it since senior year, had some years in college that she was back to black again but now it was blonde and she tended to keep it that way. When slowly opening the book again she stared at a picture of indeed herself, her short hair, longer in later pictures, always wanting to have long hair and she had always strangely wanted to be blonde, well lucky she was an adult now. Her mother would really dislike it. She was a fan of dresses already when she was a child, there were a few in there with muddy patches on her clothing and she sucked in air to keep it in her lungs for a few seconds when there was a picture of her, Nanami and no one different than G. She closed the book again, no need to stare at it, those memories were after all, not the best. She found a shelve to put it on, in the bookcase that was not much filled with books. But while continuing to clean up, she wondered what they had done to end up so muddy or dirty and guilty looking in the picture and why her parents would keep it. Perhaps as a punishment. That's when she remembered. -----"HANAKO!" The six-year-old turned around very slowly, almost escaped, she was wearing bright rainbow rain boots, totally not fitting what she was wearing in general, just a plain black dress, high knee socks and her coat. Ready to get out on an adventure until her mother called after her. "Where are you going?" Wasn't that obvious when wearing rain boots? "Outside!" She said enthusiastic and pointed at the door. "You should take Nanami with you.", "Not Nanami, Gil and I are going on an adventure, we can't use Nanami." Her mother looked at her with a very stern look and she did not dare to say no for the second time and simply sat down on the doorstep to wait for her sister to be ready to leave with her coat and on rain boots. Why did Nanami always have to come along, her mother would only be home doing nothing. She did not say this out loud, she would not dare but before Nanami her coat could be closed by her mother, she took her little sister's hand and pulled her outside and ran to the back door of the house next to them. "Gil! I.." She stared at her sister, "We're here." Politeness, words, everything that was interesting to see how far you could go to get what you want. Nanami said nothing, she was not much of a speaker compared to her sister but Hanako was always finding new words and such. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

The young 6 year old Gil was ready for his adventure. Luckily today he evaded being hurt, there was no need to make up excuses to Hana for the bruises. This time. Although bruises or not he was still just a mesy boyo, no where near as pretty as Hana. Gil just waited for his partner 'in crime' so they could go on adventure. He didnt wanna use his Quirk to pass the time, he just sat and waited. Hana eventually came, along with... whats her face... Nanami "Hey there Hana!... and um... Nanami. So, ready to go on adventure!" he eagerly asked, ready to play hero and do somethin. Although he had no idea what to do with Nanami, he didnt exactly plan anything for the other girl. He didnt really like her. Other kids liked her better. Or thats at least what Gil thought. He didnt care, he just wanted to play with his buddy. He finally adressed Nanami "You know, you dont have to go if you dont wanna" Gil said, he was mildly annoyed with the silent types. Since he had no idea what to do, he decided to ask the girl himself, what the heck did she wanna do here |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She stood at the fence next to her own house, calling out for her friend and she looked shortly at Nanami, her sister said nothing. It was stupid that Nanami had to go along, what fun was a four-year-old to a six-year-old! She had to make her own friends but as Nanami was shy, she did not say anything. She grinned a toothy grin at Gil when he showed up and seemed to be glad she was there and just as disappointed in Nanami's appearance. At least someone who prefered her over her own sister, like not many did and how she as a smartass already noticed. Nanami looked up at Gil when he spoke to her and held on stronger to Hana's hand and hid behind her. "uuugh.." Hana said loudly as she looked at Nanami, "You know, he is right, he doesn't bite or something. Go back to mom." But Nanami stayed, this was something Hana tried many more times when she went out and mostly because she went to Gil and she looked back at him with a sad pouty face. "I am sorry." Because how bad would it be, not that Gil would be angry at her but for their adventure. That's when a brilliant plan came up in her mind and she shook off Nanami her hand, who immediately darted to take it back, to step next to Gil and whisper the plan in his ear, they would just leave Nanami somewhere, saying she was the person in trouble and they as heroes would save her. That was a great plan! If she would say so herself. She grinned and looked at Nanami, who immediately took her hand again now that Hana would stand still again. @finestfantasy

Hana apologized as she was forced to have unnecessary company.
"Nah, it's fine" Gil said. Its not like she had control over this. But still, what do they do with her
And thats when Hana came to him and came up with a brilliant idea! Nanami can play hero with them! Nanami can be a hostage, victim, civillian they can rescue together. Gil nodded
"Hana! You're a genius! We should totally do that!" he said as he was mindblown and impressed with that idea.
Though where can they leave her? Maybe she can wait infront of a candy store. Well, candy was on Gils mind. He went up to Hana and whispered "Any idea where ya wanna leave her? Maybe the candy store or infront of someone elses house?"
He wanted to hear Hana's suggestion. Set up their game. He also wanted to hear what kind of Quirk Hana wanted to have. They will play Hero. He wanted to know what kind of hero Hana wanted to be. Maybe something cool like fire or earth. Gil didnt wanna get too ahead of himself and waited to hear out what his friend would say. What should they do and where to leave Nanami

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away As much as she wanted to look and be confident, she was afraid that ruining their day was her fault. If she had been a few seconds faster and more quiet with her shoes, she would have sneaked out without her mother hearing her. It was as if her mother was spying on the door every time lately, to make sure she would take Nanami with her. So she had to make up for that mistake as well, the mistake that she did not leave Nanami or teach her sister to get an opinion and do what she wanted, like head home. Finally, an idea popped into her mind. Some sinister grin appeared on her lips and she quickly whispered the plan to Gil. He called her a genius, yes, if only some more people came to understand that she was the best from the two of the Mizuki siblings, but no, everyone prefered, silent, pretty Nanami. She nodded happily when provided with the word genius and the idea of a plan. The worst thing was to bring the plan into action and she rubbed her chin with her index finger as she had seen in some animes on the television. "I thought about the store but she knows how to walk home then. And someone's house, they would bring her home too. No!" She thought about where she wanted to play, "Let's go into the woods." Woods was a fantastic big word for the small park near their houses that had a lot of trees, big enough for tiny children to play at. "We leave her at the playground!" They only had to be careful that no adult noticed them go off and leave the toddler around on her own, but that was a piece of cake as the sandpit was near the closest trees of the woods. "I want to be a lizard mutation! I can climb on trees, no! No! I want to move rocks and trees with just my hand. Destroy the earth to protect people, make walls of mud!" She danced towards the street dragging her sister along, "Let's go!" Time to go be a hero, and leave Nanami behind. When arriving at the playground, minutes later. Hanako told the plan loud enough for Nanami to hear but no one else. "You stay here, at the sandpit, go play, you will be our victim and we will rescue when we are done figuring out a plan, okay?" Nanami simply nodded, probably having no idea what Hanako meant but went to play in the sandpit. So her sister could sneak off only seconds later. As she was a quiet child, Hanako knew that her sister would not cry or ask for attention from anyone else, so they were safe. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

Hanako was once again a genius. The woods! How can Gil forget that!
"Genius!!" he eagerly said as Hana was truly the brains and he was the brawn.
The group then went to the playground at the park. Hana talked about what kind of Quirk does she want. She said a bunch of things, until she settled on Earth Manipulation
"Yeah! You're Earth and I'm Water!" Gil said
He thought they'd be an awesome Hero duo. Nah, thats what he thinks still. They WILL be the most awesome heroes ever. Sharing that sweet number 1 spot
They managed to leave the young Nanami at the sandpit area in the park. Hana talked to her and told her to wait. Gil nodded in agreement while having his hands crossed. Trying to look all serious
When they did that, and left Nanami there. The two ran off to play alone, they can easily save her, because they are the heroes. Gil decided to use his Quirk sparingly during their play, preffering to just pretend and play with Hanako. Not to mention he didnt wanna scare his friend.
"Aw yea! We're gonna save the day together! As Japans number 1 Heroes!" he tells Hana

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It was nice to be called a genius, for the fact that someone understood she was smart. With one last look over her shoulder, she made sure Nanami was okay. She had no idea why she really cared at this point, Nanami was a very annoying being because her mother gave Hana the task to watch over her. While running towards the woods, she remembered Gil saying he will be water, "We can make a mudslide!" She said enthusiastic, now getting in the idea of playing heroes. She will be a hero, one day, she was sure the quirk would come. Not everyone started at the age of four or six, some would be later, she was sure of it. She was special enough. Their way of playing heroes, was more descriptive talk and show of their creativity than actually using water or stones, mostly because Hana could not carry them anyway. "I can't wait!" She replied to her best friend as he said they would be Japans number 1 heroes. When they were far enough in the woods, she stopped running, "Look out behind you!" She yelled with a laugh, pretending there was a villain, "It's the dirty sock monster!" She giggled even louder as that was the first thing she came up with, "He throws dirty socks that smell like rotten eggs and they explode! Eeew!" She danced a few steps aside, "I would throw a rock at him, or no multiple!" And that's how it started. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

"Yeah!" he agreed, of course they can make a mudslide. They're just that awesome. Gil couldnt wait to start playing with his best buddy. He was sure Hana would get her Quirk sooner or later. She was just special. The best is always saved for last. Her Quirk was gonna be awesome. Surely better then his small summoning Quirk. The two kids have finally started playing, Hana called out and told him there was a 'Villain' behind him. A smelly sock monster of doom "Eeww" he said when he heard Hana's idea of a Villain, then laughed and played along "Imma gonna beat him up"
Hana then asked for advice what should she do. Rock or no or multiple
"Lets do a combo attack. You and me both!" Gil said as he was ready to 'charge his attack', taking a familiar pose from an anime and aimed his attack at the 'Villain'. Now he waited for his best partner to join him to they can defeat the 'terrible villain' together, so they can save whats her face Nanami and be real heroes.
Although if Hana had any other ideas how to strategically and awesomaly defeat the 'Villain' he was all ears

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away As they were running around in the forest, Hanako came up with the dirty sock monster, she had no other ideas to come up with but luckily Gil gave exactly the reaction that she wanted as she nodded. "Yes!" She was not the one to play the damsel in distress, she wanted to be the hero too and that was a funny idea, "I will do more!" She laughed and ran back to where Gil stood and nodded, "Yes!" She followed his example by another idea of a charge and another familiar pose by another anime that she loved the most, totally girly, yet she always tried to not show that, that was Nanami her thing. But now she could use it as she was playing hero. "Let's do it now!" She yelled with a sheer idea of a laugh in her voice as she dropped herself on her knees and said something else that was something along the lines of mud launch. They would make that mudslide together now! Soon, it would be very soon that she got her real quirk she was sure of that. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

Hana joined him, but her pose was uber girly. Laaaaame. But at least the two 'heroes' 'charged their attack' and unleashed it on the villanous sock 'monster'. And of course because the two were the most amazing heroes ever, their combo mud attack worked flawlessly. The attack name was a work in progress. It had to be something better then 'big bang attack'. Gil will work it out later
"Partner! Do you se any other Villains?" Gil asked Hana, because she was a fellow hero. Not a puny sidekick. And besides,e ven thoug this is a game, he would totally trust her to 'scan the area' and see if there were other evil doers in the woods
"If you dont see any more bad guys we can go and save the captive" Gil said, totally into this little game they created
The young Hawaiian was a 100% sure his best buddy would have a super special awesome quirk real soon. Why else would is take this much time to manifest?
Though right now, he had to be careful, not to do anything girly. He would grab Hana by the hand and lead her right to saving their poor civillian. But... holding hands is so eww. So girly. He'd rather let Hana decide if they should recue Nanami now or later

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Well, that villainous sock monster was easily taken care off and that made it easy. Especially funny how easy she came up with the idea. Their mudslide was amazing and she made another twirl and a short applaud before she looked around to see if there were other villains just as Gil asked. "They are after that girl, my senses are feeling it." Which was utter bullshit because Hanako could not see Nanami from where she was and she also did not consider Nanami her sister if she was here, because she was Hana the hero. Which was actually a good thing that Gil at that same time said they should save the captive and she went running back. At these moments, she forgot her jealousy for other people their quirks and even if the one from Gil looked funny, she found whimpy scary and cute at the same time. She fell on her knees but instead of being a girl about it and cry, she jumped up again and ran after the incident. She always came home with muddy clothing, so it was no surprise and she was rather clumsy, she quickly checked her socks but there was no hole in it, so that was a good thing. Her mother would complain about the dirt on it, but that was also very normal. When she arrived out of the woods to see Nanami, she immediately stopped running and stared at her sister who was crying. There were bullies standing in front of her sister, and very close that it infiltrated personal space and made mean comments that made Nanami cry. What should she do? She had no quirk and she stared with a scared expression to Gil. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

The two kids were having fun and playing hero. Now they was finally gonna rescue the girl, which was whats her face... Nanamu. Both Gil and Hana ran towards her, but Hana tripped and fell. Gil didnt even get to react and help her as Hana was already up and running "Hey wait up!" Gil said as he ran after her The duo soon arrived only to see real villains at the scene, in the form of bullies. Alright! Now it was time to be a Hero for real. Gil look at Hana who was scared. Ok then. It was up to just him. "I'll handle this" Gil told her as he put his hand infront of her as to shield her. He then ran towards the bullies " Hey! Back off from her! Or you're gonna get it!" he shouted to them as he ran at them He quickly used his Spirit Animal Quirk and summoned his...small Spirit Animal, Whimpy. Who manifested in Gil's hands. "Splash them Whimpy" Gil told his small companion who spat a bit of water at those bullies. Hopefully a Quirk would be enough to scare them away. Otherwise Gil would have to get in to a fight himself |

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She might be great, in the play that they had made up. She could do nothing wrong when she played a hero with Gil, but she was not a great big sister. With big blue eyes Hanako stared at her sister before her, she was not close enough to say something or do something and she was also not impressive enough to stand up to bullies, if only she had a quirk. But she wasn't alone, her best friend in the whole world was here, and he was by far more impressive than her if they were outside their powerplay. She felt shaken as she did not know what to do for Nanami. It sure did feel bad that she had left her sister here, but it was her own fault and the tears that were streaming down her face made Hanako hesitate as well. She took a small step back as Gil stepped in front of her, his hand and arm in front of her to shield her from the bullies, she did not follow at first but decided that she needed to prove the world that she deserved a quirk and ran after him, pretending not to be afraid. The idea of a quirk seemed to be already scary for the bullies, who must not be much older than them, if at all, "Wait until you see mine!" She yelled as some stared at Whimpy and they quickly ran off. She looked at Gil and the little quirk in his hands and smiled at them, Nanami quickly ran to her and she wrapped her arms around her sister and made hushing sounds. "Thanks, you two." She muttered. Luckily the bullies were the whimps this time as they ran away screaming like pussy cats. They were afaid of a small Spirit Animal. Hah! Just wait until he gets big and strong. Then awesomeness will await.
Hana is a hushed tone thanked Gil and Whimpy.
Gil dismissed his Spirit Animal and turned to Hana
"Ehh, it was nothin" Gil said as he sorta looked away and scratched the back of his head. He was a bit shy-ish. He saved a damsel in distress for real, not just in a game. Even though his best buddy thanked him. He was still a bit shy. After all. She is his best buddy, and not only that she's a girl who's pretty.
Gil then crossed his arms and played it cool. And totally changed the subject
"So um... Nanami. Are you ok?" he asked when he remembered Nanami for real. They needed to make sure she was fine or else she'd tell on them that they left her alone. Right? Well, just in case Gil needed to make sure she wasnt a tattletale
He then looked at Hana to see what she was thinking. She WAS the smart one in the group after all

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Nanami was still crying and Hanako ushered her to stop doing so and that they were all fine thanks to Gil. "I told you we came to save you, no need to be all cry about it." She said and she took Nanami her hand and pulled her out of the sand pit. She looked at Gil shortly and it was obvious that she was disappointed that their playdate was over so soon. "I see you tomorrow?" She muttered before walking off, dragging her sister along. She looked over her shoulder one more time before, almost out of sight, she stopped Nanami and dusted off her clothes and talked to her firmly about what happened and that she would tell her mother and not Nanami and the little one simply nodded. She brushed her short black hair aside and waltzed on home, her day was ruined but that was normal. --Now that she put another book on the shelf, next to the one with the pictures, she remembered how they came home and how her mother had wanted to make a picture. The good thing for a short moment was that Nanami no longer tagged along and said that she wanted to stay home if her mother suggested she would go with Hanako and Gil. That moment of victory was for a short period of time because Gil disappeared. With her left index finger, she traced the back of the picture book, and yet he had returned. How would it be if they grew up together, would he be more like a brother to her? She mused softly about it as she turned back to the box that was now empty, to clear that up as well. Who cared, in the end, it turned out all fine and with a happy smile, she turned to the kitchen to do something else, but her mood was at least better than when she started cleaning up.
